No Cuts

My post ‘We’ve Been Expecting You…’ discussed how Dr Death and the Gang Of Four launched the Limehouse Declaration on 25 Jan 1981 and how all members of the Gang Of Four – Dr Death, Shirl, Woy and Bill Rodgers – were steeped in concealing the organised abuse of vulnerable people and made moves during their careers with the SDP which suggested that they were attempting to build their political fortunes on the continued collusion with organised crime. Dr Death personally knew some of the Top Docs involved in the trafficking ring in north Wales and had worked with the butcher William Sargant when Dr Death was a junior psychiatrist at Tommy’s (see post ‘Dr Death’).

Mary Wynch finally managed to escape from the clutches of Dafydd who had unlawfully arrested and imprisoned her late in 1979 and began legal action. It will have been clear by the end of 1980 that Mary was not going to go away and that Dr Death’s mates in north Wales, along with those who had provided so much help for them, could find themselves in a very difficult position indeed. Furthermore, it would very likely lead to the dominoes toppling over all the way down to Westminster and the London medical establishment, who after all were the big boys protecting Dafydd et al. See posts ‘The Mary Wynch Case – Details’ and ‘A Few Of The Relevant Politicians Re Mary Wynch’s Case’.

Dr Death led the SDP until 28 Aug 1987, by which time the honeymoon was well and truly over. Bob MacLennan took over as leader after Dr Death departed and remained in post until 1988, serving throughout the negotiations that led to the merger of the SDP with the Liberal Party. MacLennan then became joint interim leader of the new party, initially known as the Social and Liberal Democrats (SLD), later as the Lib Dems.

Robert Adam Ross MacLennan known as Bob MacLennan, is a now a Lib Dem peer. MacLennan was educated at Glasgow Academy; Balliol College, Oxford; Trinity College, Cambridge; and Columbia University, New York City.

In 1966 Bob MacLennan was elected as the Labour MP for Caithness and Sutherland. He served as MP for the constituency – and in 1981 was one of the founder members of the SDP – until 1997, after which, following boundary changes, MacLennan was then the MP for Caitness, Sutherland and Easter Ross until 2001.

MacLennan was a junior Minister in the Labour Gov’t, 1974-79

As SDP Leader in 1988 MacLennan served alongside Liberal Leader David Steel, who concealed Cyril Smith’s sex offending and negotiated with the crooked barrister George Carman QC to keep it out of the national press when it was first reported in an alternative paper in Rochdale, because Jeremy Thorpe was about to stand trial for conspiracy to murder and Steel feared the implosion of the Liberal Party.

MacLennan knew about the sex offending of George Thomas, Greville Janner, Cyril Smith, Jeremy Thorpe and the rest of them, as well as about the dishonesty of those in Wilson’s and Callaghan’s Gov’ts.

MacLennan served as a front bench spokesman for the Liberal Democrats and as their President, 1994-98.  MacLennan succeeded Charles Kennedy as President. Charles was drinking himself to death, but this was unacknowledged until it became public knowledge when Charles became Leader of the Lib Dems. When it became clear that Kennedy’s boozing threatened the success of the Party, a ‘Kennedy Must Go’ campaign was launched. Charles Kennedy knew about the likes of Cyril Smith so didn’t cover himself in glory, but had anyone launched a ‘Charles Must Dry Out’ campaign with as much vigour as the ‘Kennedy Must Go’ campaign, Charles Kennedy might not have died an alcoholic’s haemorrhaging death at only 55 yrs old.

MacLennan became a member of the Privy Council in 1997, just after the Waterhouse Inquiry opened and was given his peerage in 2001, the year after the Waterhouse Report was completed.

MacLennan’s father, Sir Hector MacLennan, was a renowned gynaecologist and obstetrician. Sir Hector was President of the Royal Society of Medicine, 1967-69. He died in 1978. The Royal College of Physicians ‘Lives of the Fellows Online’ tells us that Hector was born in Glasgow, went to Glasgow High School and then to Glasgow University and with the exception of a one year residency at the Chelsea Hospital for Women, spent his entire professional life in Glasgow. Hector was a consultant at Glasgow Maternity Hospital and the Victoria Hospital. Hector was President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, 1963-66 and was knighted in 1965. Sir Hector was Chairman of the Advisory Committee on the problems of tissue transplantation and intriguingly, the Chairman of the Scottish Tourist Board, 1969-74.

Although Sir Hector was based in Glasgow, he was of sufficient stature to have exerted an influence over medicine across the whole of the UK. He was a member of the GMC, 1965-69, when Gwynne the lobotomist and Dafydd were keeping the victims of a trafficking gang in the dungeon at the North Wales Hospital Denbigh. The Ely Hospital Scandal blew up in 1969. Despite the terrible abuse of patients which was revealed – abuse that was later acknowledged as not being a one-off case – no Top Doc faced the GMC. Hector Chaired the Advisory Committee on Distinction Awards, 1971-74. Distinction Awards were the bonuses, the ‘merit awards’ which all consultants used to receive on top of their NHS salaries, but the bonuses varied and those in receipt of the biggest merit awards would double their salaries. Merit awards were hugely controversial, even among conservative Top Docs. It was demonstrated repeatedly that there was huge entrenched discrimination within the system, with women doctors very much less likely to receive the biggest merit awards and graduates of certain medical schools consistently awarded bigger merit awards. The merit awards were considered particularly toxic because they were handed out in complete secrecy and those sitting on the Advisory Committee were allowed to decide on the merit awards given to their personal friends. See post ‘More Alan Bennett’.

Sir Hector would have been well aware of the extensive malpractice which existed in medicine during his career, including that of his colleague Sir Dugald Baird at Aberdeen University aborting en masse the babies of low income women ‘for socio-economic reasons’ when abortion was still illegal under most circumstances (see post ‘Rab, High Table and the Founding Fathers’), the brisk business in unlawful abortions which was taking place at Tommy’s in London (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’), the organised abuse of vulnerable people and of course the Westminster Paedophile Ring. Sir Hector knew Professor Geoffrey Chamberlain, he who experimented upon live late gestation foetuses whom he subsequently killed and who also concealed paedophile gangs in south London and in north Wales (see post ‘Now Then…’).

Sir Hector married a fellow Top Doc, Isabel, who worked in Public Health. So Isabel knew about all the wrongdoing as well.

Bob MacLennan’s siblings were David, Elizabeth and Kenneth. David and Elizabeth were actors and in 1971 David, Elizabeth and Elizabeth’s husband John McGrath founded the Scottish left-wing agitprop theatre group 7:84 and in 1978 David created the influential Wildcat Stage Productions (with Dave Anderson). David MacLennan worked with these two companies for most of his life.

John McGrath was from an Irish Catholic background, was born in Birkenhead and educated in Mold, north Wales and at St John’s College, Oxford. McGrath was a very big name in theatre and was universally known in leftie luvvie circles. During the 1960s and 70s McGrath worked for the BBC, including as a writer/director for ‘Z cars’ and ‘Play for Today’. He also worked in film, including with Ken Russell. McGrath’s initiatives lost Arts Council funding in the 1990s, it was believed for political reasons. The McGrath’s house at Earl’s Court was host to many socialist luvvies who discussed the revolution while they ignored a big slurry pit.

Detail from the front cover of the programme for McGrath’s ‘A Satire of the Four Estaites’ (1996), showing Amy Trompetter’s drawing of the costume for Gloria Cupsize:

John McGrath never managed a play about his father-in-law’s colleagues forcing disadvantaged youngsters into the line of work pursued by Gloria Cupsize or his brother-in-law in politics concealing the serious crimes that were being committed to keep a lid on it all.

‘We didn’t know.’

I mentioned in a comment following my post ‘Remember Girls – Never Get Into A Car With A Stranger!’ that after reading more about Tony Benn I thought that it is likely that Benn was recruited by the British security services as a young man and I wondered why they had allowed him to become marginalised and kicked about by old gits like Denis Healey who were also working for the security services. The security services seemed to have recruited a lot of people with Benn’s profile from his generation – Oxbridge-educated left leaning academically able young men. Tony Benn studied at New College, Oxford which was a security services recruiting ground for a very long while, that is where they snared Peter Mandelson (see post ‘A Study Of Tyranny’). Benn then worked for the BBC at a time when virtually everyone there was working for the security services.
Tony Benn was the MP for Bristol South East, 1963-83 and a member of Harold Wilson’s Gov’t. Wilson surrounded himself with crooks and Benn will have known that. Benn also knew of the other outrages under Wilson’s and Callaghan’s administrations, such as the Home Office concealing terrible corruption and Leo Abse busting a gut to get the Children Act 1975 on the statute books, which gave Dafydd and the gang a real boost, as it resulted in hundreds of children being handed over to them (see post ‘Cry The Beloved Country’).
Tony Benn was famous for becoming increasingly left wing as he got older and by the time that the Windbag was in the ascendant, Benn was in a state of all-out civil war with people like Healey. Tony Benn may have led People’s Marches under banners, enjoyed pots of tea with all sorts of people and socked it to the old farts at the Labour conferences which is what made him so attractive to lefties of my generation, but until he died he too remained silent about the organised abuse of vulnerable people by the welfare services, including the Westminster Paedophile Ring. I wrote to Tony Benn about the mental health services in north Wales when he was older but still politically active and made it clear that I had evidence of the most serious abuse of patients and organised crime. Tony wrote back saying simply ‘Sorry but disability is not my area’. I wrote to him on the advice of a disability campaigner who told me that Tony Benn had a very good reputation on disability campaigning.
Shortly after I wrote to him, Tony Benn turned up in Caernarfon to give a public lecture, one of my friends went to listen to him. So Tony Benn knew that Gwynedd existed then…
When I wrote to Tony Benn, I hadn’t read his diaries, so I was unaware of the very close relationship that he and his family had with St Thomas’s Hospital. They really loved old Wedgie Benn at Tommy’s, it was his second home. Tommy’s is the most elite of all the London hospitals. Many of Tommy’s medical students are from titled families who fancy dabbling in medicine for a while and it is the Top Docs from Tommy’s who are most likely to be those who are raking it in from Harley Street practices. Tommy’s was also the biggest, most powerful medical establishment umbrella that Dafydd had. Dafydd’s old mate Professor Jim Watson from the Maudsley went on to run a sex therapy practice at St George’s Hospital Medical School when St George’s was colluding with Dafydd’s gang in north Wales and a linked gang in south London and after that Jim Watson rocked up at Guy’s and Tommy’s – the two institutions had merged – and ran a sex therapy clinic there (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’).
Dr Death is a Tommy’s graduate and a former Tommy’s Top Doc. George Osborne’s psychiatrist brother Adam, who was struck off for selling class A drugs and for having sex with a patient and then threatening her into silence, is also a Tommy’s graduate. Ed Miliband’s Uncle Harry had a Chair at Guy’s and Tommy’s.
Tommy’s concealed the Westminster Paedophile Ring and since I began this blog I have been told that there is a great deal of shagging between Westminster/Whitehall figures and Tommy’s staff. None of that lot are going to fall out with Tommy’s in the light of the huge numbers of heavy drinking, ageing, overweight unfit politicians who fear that they could keel over at any point. Add to that the picture of Westminster painted during Nigel Evans’s trial for multiple sexual assaults, during which one witness who was a Parliamentary researcher agreed that he did find a totally bladdered Nigel’s hands down the front of his trousers in a Commons bar, but that was just ‘crazy, crazy Westminster’, it was nothing unusual at all.

Are they really going to grass up the corrupt Top Docs of Tommy’s when they might need to drop in for a stomach pump or a shot of penicillin at any time?

Tony Benn’s Bristol seat disappeared in 1983 as a result of boundary changes. I’m sure that won’t have been accidental, appointments to the Boundary Commission are highly political. Sir Ronald Waterhouse was a Boundary Commissioner and Professor Eric Sunderland was appointed to the body in time for him to agree that Clwyd County Council should disappear in a puff of smoke days after the Jillings Report into the serious abuse of children in the care of Clwyd County Council was submitted in 1996 (see previous posts).

After Bristol South East disappeared, Tony Benn lost to Michael Cocks in the selection of a Labour candidate to stand in the new winnable seat of Bristol South. Rejecting offers from the new seat of Livingston in Scotland, Benn contested Bristol East, losing to the Tory’s Conservative’s Jonathan Sayeed in June 1983.

Tony Benn wasn’t in the wilderness for long. On 1 March 1984, Benn was elected as Labour MP for Chesterfield and were they glad to see him. Chesterfield had been held by Eric Varley since 1964, but in 1983 Varley suddenly stood down to become Chairman of Coalite plc.

Eric Varley was an NUM-sponsored MP. Tony Benn was friends with Arthur Scargill, who in turn was friends with Michael Mansfield QC, who was one of many ‘radical lawyers’ who kept quiet about Dafydd and the gang (see previous posts). Varley was on the right of the Labour Party, was PPS to Harold Wilson, 1968-69, Secretary of State for Energy and then Secretary of State for Industry. Varley led Denis Healey’s campaign for the Labour Leadership in 1980.

Varley was given a peerage in 1990. His name was in the news again last year when Gerald Kaufman died and it was discovered that Kaufperson had left absolutely everything in his will to Eric Varley – an expensive property in St John’s Wood (Ronnie Waterhouse lived in St John’s Wood and was a leading light in the St John’s Wood Society), all his dosh, absolutely everything. Varley though had died seven years previously – Kaufman had made the will when Varley was still alive and hadn’t updated it. As with a lot of politicians who remain in the Commons into old age, the media have for the last few years been rather kinder to Kaufman than they used to be. We have been reminded that it was Kaufman who called the Labour manifesto of 1983 ‘the longest suicide note in history’ and Kaufman has been portrayed as a voice of reason during the years of the loony left and Michael Foot. Which is interesting because I remember Kaufman insulting people, upsetting them, really pissing everyone off and being considered an oily git who couldn’t be trusted.

Eric Varley and Kaufperson would never have wanted to do any favours for Tony Benn.

Chesterfield is in Derbyshire and Derbyshire was the location of a paedophile gang closely linked with Dafydd’s gang in north Wales/Cheshire. There was an exchange of abusive children’s home staff between north Wales and Derbyshire, as well as of other ‘professionals’. John Jillings, who Chaired the Jillings Investigation into the abuse of children in care in Clwyd from 1974 onward, was the former Director of Social Services for Derbyshire. Jillings’ Report was damning – although thanks to the legal advice to Municipal Mutual, Clwyd’s insurers, from Cherie’s mate Michael Beloff QC, no-one saw the Jillings Report for almost 20 yrs and even then it was so heavily redacted that it was almost meaningless (see post ‘It’s A Piece Of Cake…’). However it was known that Jillings stated that very serious abuse of children had occurred in Clwyd and that the organised abuse probably reached back as far as the 1940s/50s. Jillings flatly refused to comment upon whether he thought that there was a paedophile ring in operation.

By the time that Eric Varley suddenly decided that his future lay as Chairman of Coalite plc and it was time to make a space for a man whom he loathed to return to the Commons, Mary Wynch had begun her legal action against Dafydd and the gang and was well on her way to the Master of The Rolls to receive her history-making judgement (see post ‘The Mary Wynch Case – Details’). Brown and I had just begun to raise concerns about what was happening in the Student Health Centre at Bangor University and Alison Taylor had dared raise her worries about the treatment of children in care in north Wales, but only by then within Gwynedd Social Services.

If Mary, Alison, Brown and I were to be listened to, things could unravel very quickly indeed for the whole of the medical establishment and Parliament…

Tony Benn was needed in Derbyshire, but he didn’t move house. He carried on living in London, popping in to his good mates at Tommy’s just down the road…

Tony Benn held his seat at Chesterfield until 2001, when he famously stepped down to ‘spend more time in politics’. Benn stayed in the Commons which he found so stifling and frustrating until the Waterhouse Report had been submitted to Gov’t and the yells of ‘massive cover-up’ had died down and the press had lost interest.

Benn was President of the ‘Stop the War Coalition’ from 2001 until his death in 2014.

Tony Benn was the devoted husband of Caroline, an Americal lawyer who was, like Benn, from a privileged background. Caroline, like Shirl, was a campaigner for comprehensive education. She was a member of ILEA, 1970-77, when ILEA were colluding with the abuse of children from London boroughs who had been sent to children’s homes in north Wales; an ILEA Governor at Imperial College, an institution which concealed the Top Docs who colluded with the abuse and trafficking of vulnerable people and a tutor at the OU, another institution which colluded with organised abuse. Caroline was President of the Socialist Education Association.

The Benns’ son Hilary was a Cabinet Minister in Blair’s Gov’t and their daughter Melissa bangs on in ‘The Guardian’ about the wonders of comprehensive schools.

I don’t mind that the Benns were ‘hard left’ or born into privilege. I do not believe that all privileged people are evil hypocrites and I don’t believe that the ‘hard left’ are a threat to civilization. But I do believe that the Benns were prepared to see me die and did see others like me die because they were not prepared to take on the organised crime that had come to dominate medicine.

Do us a favour Hilary and Melissa, just fuck off.

By the way, a name I haven’t mentioned yet, someone who not only knew what happened to me in north Wales but who knew about the abuse and deaths of patients in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, which she witnessed as a medical student and as a junior doctor – Clare Cheek. Now a consultant surgeon in, I think, Herefordshire. Time to speak up Clare?

A Legend Lives

BBC News Wales have reported that 46,000 patients have had to find new Top Doctors in the past five years after GPs practices have shut. Last year’s closures were the highest in the five-year period, with the BMA saying the closures put ‘extra pressure’ on the system. The situation is particularly bad in north Wales, with many patients, including the elderly, having to travel many miles to see a GP. The patients will be on buses as well, not in expensive cars like the Top Docs.

Dr Charlotte Jones, Chair of the BMA’s GP Committee Wales, said surgeries were struggling to stay afloat due to problems recruiting and retaining doctors, the ‘sheer volume’ of workloads, ‘under-resourcing’ and ‘overwhelming bureaucracy’.

Duw it’s hard, with the Top Docs being among the highest paid people in Wales, with many of them working a whole three days/week and many now retiring at 55 yrs old .

Charlotte, can I ask if Dr D.G.E. Wood, who facilitated the trafficking gang in north Wales, is still playing a leading role in GP training in north Wales and the Royal College of GPs? In 2017 Dr Eamonn Jessup, a GP from north Wales, Spoke Out About The Crisis. Eamonn is or was a colleague of Wood’s, they were both popping over to Cyprus to hold clinics together!

BBC News Wales also reported today that homeless people in Wrexham – Wrexham now has one of the biggest homelessness problems in Wales – will be housed in shipping containers. Not permanently, that would be greedy of them. They will be housed in shipping containers over Christmas. They won’t all be able to fit into the shipping containers, because only a few shipping containers will be available and there are more homeless people than shipping containers, but at least a lucky few will have a shipping container over their heads for Christmas.

By the age of 40, D.G.E. Wood was living in the second most expensive house in the expensive (by Anglesey standards) village of Llandegfan. The most expensive house was owned by Top Doctor Terry Maxwell, the Medical Director of Ysbyty Gwynedd. Terry Maxwell presided over slaughter and scandal and was given a performance-related pay award in return for cutting the already terrible mental health services, in the run up to the Waterhouse Inquiry. After Maxwell did his best, many patients became destitute and some died. Maxwell was a heart and lung specialist who trained at Liverpool. Liverpool thought so much of Terry Maxwell that in 1984, Liverpool University rang up Terry Maxwell’s daughter Sonia and offered her a place to do medicine, even though she hadn’t applied to Liverpool. Sonia continued to turn her nose up at Liverpool and trained at one of the London hospitals instead. She returned to Gwynedd to practice as a GP in Llanberis. Sonia Maxwell is one of the GPs in Llanberis who unlawfully refused to treat a Hergest Unit patient who had complained after being wrongfully imprisoned on the basis of the perjury of Hergest staff. For further details see post ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’.

Some 20 years ago, a cardiologist from Ysbyty Gwynedd, Dr David Thomas, attempted suicide by driving his car over the edge of a mountain. He was sacked by Ysbyty Gwynedd, publicly denounced, sectioned and admitted to the Hergest Unit where all confidentiality was broken. I always wondered what it was that Dr Thomas had been so frightened of, particularly as it involved Terry Maxwell (see post ‘A Mystery From Twenty Years Ago’).

Let me remind the dedicated, committed, Top Docs of the wider UK of a few more of their activities.

Readers might remember that after Blair won his electoral landslide in May 1997, the Tories began ripping each others throats out and held a leadership contest. This was the moment that Heseltine had wanted, another chance for him to have a final stab at becoming Tory leader and eventually PM, but Hezza was getting on a bit and had previously experienced a heart attack when he was living it up in Venice in 1993. Hezza had been filmed climbing from a hospital trolley into an ambulance looking like death warmed up and later maintained that this was because he had gout. Hezza’s gout caused him to take four months off work and the gout also prevented him from conducting himself as usual ie. waving the Mace around, making weak jokes about the Labour Party, flicking his hairstyle about and generally being a tosser. He did make an appearance at the Party Conference, but what with that gout, he wasn’t up and leading them all in a rousing speech, he just entertained the crowd with a few arm movements.

The candidates for the Tory leadership in 1997 were Ken Clarke, Peter Lilley, William Hague, Michael Howard and John Redwood. Hague of course won, among much bad feeling, because the constituency parties had overwhelmingly wanted Ken Clarke, but the Parliamentary Party wanted Hague. The constituency parties were unaware that the Parliamentary Party were eternally grateful to Hague for organising the Waterhouse Inquiry, thus concealing the barrel of shit which was the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal and the key role that Thatcher’s personal friend, the Tory MP for Chester, Sir Peter Morrison – who had been found safely dead on 13 July 1995 – played in it. Bing Spear, the corrupt Chief Inspector of the Home Office Drugs Branch who was so accommodating re Dafydd (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’), had died on 9 July 1995. So that was two problems out of the way before the Waterhouse Inquiry.

Heseltine didn’t in the end stand in the leadership contest, although he was the stand-out favourite when John Major announced his resignation. Heseltine is someone who knows about the Westminster Paedophile Ring and the role that Dafydd and the gang played in it. Heseltine was the Tory MP for Tavistock in Devon, 1966-74 and knew all about his fellow Devon MP, Jeremy Thorpe. Heseltine then served as the MP for Henley, 1974-2001 and held numerous Ministerial, Shadow Cabinet and Cabinet roles, under Heath, Thatcher and Major. He was in Gov’t with Peter Morrison and Norman St John Stevas – another MP whom I was told when I worked in London was known to be abusing boys – and will have known about the rest of the allegations of organised abuse that were concealed until very recently. Heseltine came from Swansea and there was an abuse gang in west Wales with links to Dafydd’s crew in north Wales.

Even Heseltine’s much trumpeted success at regenerating Liverpool, a cause close to his heart, was achieved – if indeed it was achieved – as a result of his close working relationship with Sir Trevor Jones, the Liberal leader of Liverpool City Council. Trevor Jones was born in north Wales to Welsh parents and he was networked into the empire of Dafydd’s gang (see post ‘He Knows Where The Bodies Are Buried’). It was Heseltine who arranged for the first of five bi-annual National Garden Festivals to be held in Liverpool in 1984. Trevor Jones arranged for the City Council to delegate the bid to the Merseyside Development Corporation, of which Trevor Jones was a Director. More than 3 million people eventually attended. Two of those people were Brown and me. When Liz Stables, the Angel who worked at the Student Health Centre at Bangor University, was still pretending to be friends with Brown and me and was extracting information from us which she then relayed back to Dr D.G.E. Wood and others in Dafydd’s gang, Liz gave us a lift to Liverpool to go to the Garden Festival. Liz knew Liverpool well, she had been a teacher there in the 1960s and used to tell me about the girls in her class whom she knew were working as prostitutes. Liz kept in touch with some of them as their adult lives really hit the pits and they ended up addicted to Class A drugs, in prison etc. At the time I thought that Liz was showing genuine friendship to some people who’d had a terrible time, but now I know that Liz was mates with Dafydd et al and that Dafydd’s gang were procuring young people for sex work outside of north Wales, including in Liverpool, I find Liz’s interest in the lives of those women rather worrying. Liz left Liverpool and teaching in 1969 to train and then work as an Angel in the old C&A Hospital in Bangor, where Dafydd and the gang were operating…

My post ‘Those Who Are Ready To Serve’ provided details of Heseltine’s role in the future of Westland Helicopters, a small ailing company in Somerset, which employed Janet Mitchell, a girl who was one of my playmates when I was young and who knew what had happened/was happening to me in north Wales, who’s career took off like a rocket after Heseltine took a sudden inexplicable interest in Westland.

After deciding not to stand for the Tory leadership in 1997, Heseltine, a very rich man thanks to his property developing and publishing business, devoted himself to his arboretum and 50 acre garden. There is archive footage of Heseltine and his family being interviewed after Heseltine left politics and every one of them ends up in tears at the memory of poor old Hezza never becoming PM, including of course Hezza himself. Is it not touching that as with Thatch, the only time that these people show any emotion is when they are kicked out of high office or indeed don’t reach it?

One of the archive clips about Hezza enlightened me as to the reason why Hezza decided not to stand for the Tory leadership in 1997. It was as a result of a conversation that Hezza had with his Top Doctor, the cardiologist Peter Mills, under who’s care Hezza was after that nasty attack of gout. After his conversation with Peter Mills resulted in Hezza deciding not to stand himself, Hezza supported Ken Clarke for the leadership.

Peter Mills, like all the best Top Docs, will have known about the Westminster Paedophile Ring, but Mills will have had a particular hotline to and interest in Dafydd and the gang, because Peter Mills, when a young Top Doctor, had worked at St George’s Hospital Medical School, which for years concealed Dafydd’s gang and a linked paedophile/trafficking gang in south London.

In an interview about his career, Mills was quoted as saying: ‘My father was a GP but I was always rather rebellious and so chose to read biochemistry at Oxford. I realised I was wrong and changed to medicine when it became apparent I was more interested in people than science. In contrast to today’s young medics, who seem forced to decide at medical school which career path to follow in order to shape their CV, we had much more freedom to choose our speciality relatively later. I believe cardiology chose me, rather than the other way around. An unexpected vacancy arose at St Georges Hospital at Hyde Park Corner where I was a locum and so I was invited to study Cardiology.’

Not only did many of the staff at St George’s conceal organised abuse, but Professor Oliver Brooke was employed as a paediatrician there from the mid-1970s until he was jailed for the possession of child porn in 1986. Brooke was a key figure in a pan-European paedophile gang. After Brooke was jailed, his colleagues and friends remained working at St George’s colluding with the gang, some of them being active members. See post ‘The Most Dangerous Man In The World – Part III’.

Ken Clarke knew what was going on at St George’s when Clarke was Health Minister and subsequently Secretary of State for Health, 1988-90. Furthermore, it was when Clarke was in Health that he and Thatch had to sort out a little local difficulty re St George’s. The original St George’s Hospital at Hyde Park Corner had been developed as a result of a bequest given by the Duke of Westminster in the 18th century. After St George’s had relocated to its new site in Tooting in 1980, the then Duke of Westminster, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, told Thatch and Ken Clarke that he wanted the market price for the original site which had been donated by his ancestor. The Hyde Park Corner site was a piece of Knightsbridge real estate worth millions. The Gov’t refused the Duke’s request, but instead resolved the problem by letting the Duke buy the Hyde Park Corner site for £6000.

The Duke of Westminster was the President of the City of Chester Conservative Party’s Constituency Association, the local MP being Sir Peter Morrison. Gyles Brandreth succeeded Morrison as Tory MP for Chester and Gyles has been frank that Morrison ‘having sex with little boys’ was openly gossiped about by members of the constituency association as well as local people whom Gyles met when he was campaigning. The Duke of Westminster was a close friend of Carlo. Peter Morrison’s sister Dame Mary Morrison spent most of her life as Woman of the Bedchamber to Lilibet.

Boys from Bryn Estyn were taken to the Duke’s estate for ‘work experience’ but refused to return there without explaining why.

Peter Mills worked as a consultant cardiologist at the Royal London Hospital and subsequently the London Chest Hospital, which both became part of Bart’s Health, for around 35 years. It was Barts who found that they were ‘unable to revive’ John Smith, the leader of the Labour Party, after his heart attack on 12 May 1994. Matt Arnold, the Head of Bryn Estyn, died from an ‘unspecified blood disease’ on 9 June 1994. On 13 June 1994 the trial of Arnold’s friend and colleague Peter Howarth and Paul Wilson for sexual offences against boys in care began.

Dafydd’s mate Professor Linford Rees was a leading light at Barts for many years and provided much protection for Dafydd. Linford Rees was from west Wales and furthermore had extensive showbiz connections via his daughter, the actress Angharad Rees and her husband Christopher Cazenove (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’). Barts’ concealing of organised abuse was given a further helping hand by the very close connections that Lady Juliet Bingley of MIND had with Bart’s – Juliet’s father had been a surgeon at Bart’s and Juliet worked for a while as a medical almoner (social worker) at Bart’s. Juliet’s son William continued the collusion with Dafydd et al in William’s capacity as Legal Director of MIND and then Chief Exec of the Mental Health Act Commission (see previous posts).

So after the chat with the Top Doc who was formerly of St George’s and Barts, old Hezza decided to offer Ken Clarke his support with regard to Clarke’s ambitions to lead the Tory Party and ultimately become PM. The Ken who was at the scene when the Duke of Westminster – Britain’s richest man – picked up a prime piece of Knightsbridge that the NHS was flogging off for a bit of loose change.

The information concerning Peter Mills’s career is provided on the website of Cavendish Medical. Cavendish Medical is a company which provides ‘financial planning’ services for ‘senior medical and NHS professionals’. I don’t think that Cavendish Medical simply manage the Top Docs’ Post Office savings accounts. Mills talks about his hobbies, which includes medieval art and explains that he has a ‘travel fund’ which enables him to jet around the globe in pursuit of this interest, the travel fund resulting from his Cavendish investments.

Peter Mills was Chairman of Cardiology SAC for the Royal College of Physicians, 2002-06, which involved Mills taking a leading role in the education of cardiologists. In 2015, the media reported that ‘Dr Peter Mills, the Football Association’s regional cardiologist for South East England’, was found by the High Court to have been negligent with regard to his treatment of Tottenham Hotspur footballer Radwen Hamed, who in 2006, when he was 17, suffered a cardiac arrest in his first game for the club and was left brain damaged. It was believed that the damages could reach £7 million.

The archive film of the interview with Hezza included a camera shot of the name plate of Peter Mills’ Harley Street practice, which showed that Mills shared his practice with Top Docs Duncan Empey and Michael Wareing.

I presume that Duncan Empey is Prof Duncan Empey, who has helpfully provided the following details on his LinkedIn profile:

Medical Director, Barts and The London NHS Trust, 1994-01

Professor Emeritus, University of Hertfordshire, March 2009-March 2012;

Group Medical Director, BMI Healthcare, Jan 2008-Dec 2012

Responsible Officer, BMI Healthcare, Dec 2012-Sept 2016

Trustee, National Council for Osteopathic Research, Jan 2018-present

Board Member, The Osteopathic Foundation, Sept 2017-present

Top Doctor Michael Wareing is an ENT specialist who works at The London Clinic. Wareing has his own website ‘145 ENT’, which contains the following information:

‘Welcome to the website for Mr Michael Wareing, MBBS BSc, FRCS(ORL-HNS), Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon. Michael Wareing is a London based Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgeon. He has an NHS practice which is based at St Bartholomew’s & The Royal London Hospitals, where he has also been the Head of the ENT Department in 2 separate spells, 2003-9 and 2012-14. His private practice is based at The London Clinic where he has a fully equipped consulting suite at 145 Harley Street. Mr Wareing has over 25 years experience as a doctor and has been a consultant since 2000. He offers expertise in all aspects of General ENT as well as supraspecialist knowledge in Ear & Skull Base Surgery, Voice Disorders, Dizziness & Tinnitus, Sinus Disease and Children’s Ear Problems. He has concentrated his private practice in one place to ensure the very best continuity of care for all his patients’.

The ‘profile’ section on Wareing’s website tells us that: ‘Michael Wareing was educated at the Haberdasher Aske’s School for Boys, Elstree and entered St Bartholomew’s Medical School (Barts) in 1982. Following success in his preclinical studies, he took the opportunity to spend a year of further study to complete a BSc in Pharmacology. He returned to his clinical training at Barts in 1985 where he developed an interest in ENT, and won the Sydney Scott Prize for Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) in 1988. He qualified as a doctor in the same year.

He worked in a number of busy posts in Neurosurgery, General Surgery and A&E in southeast England during his general surgical training, before taking up an ENT position at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. During this time he passed both the General Surgical and ENT Fellowships of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. His specialty ENT training gave him experience and expertise not only in District General Hospitals, but also in tertiary referral centres such as Guys, Kings & St Thomas’ Hospitals, and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. He also developed a particular subspecialty interest in Otology (diseases of the Ear) and Ear Surgery.’

Michael Wareing worked at Guy’s and Tommy’s with Ed Miliband’s Uncle Harry then! And of course with Dafydd’s friend and umbrella Professor Jim Watson the sex therapist (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’).

‘In 1997 the King’s Fund awarded him a prestigious TWJ Travelling Fellowship to enable him to spend seven months in the Laboratory of Molecular Otology at the University of California at San Francisco. There he studied inner ear gene therapy and performed new and exciting research on the roles of liposomes and viruses in introducing genetic material to the cochlea.

In 1999 he was awarded the Skull Base Fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, where he was able to refine his interest in Ear, Acoustic Neuroma and Skull Base Surgery.

In 2000, Mr Wareing returned to St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals as a Consultant ENT Surgeon. This was a high profile position which incorporated the dual role of maintaining a general ENT practice of adult and paediatric patients from the City of London, Islington and East End of London, whilst also being the Lead Clinician in Otology, Ear Surgery, Acoustic Neuroma and Skull Base Surgery. He ran a specialist Voice Clinic, and a Paediatric Ear Disease Clinic.

From 2003-9 Mr Wareing took over the additional role of Lead Clinician for the department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at St Bartholomews and The Royal London Hospitals. This position allowed him to further develop the ENT services offered in both the City of London and the East End of London. He relinquished the role, only to be reappointed as the Lead Clinician in 2012. He enjoys working closely with many allied Health Professionals, where he is known as a helpful, reliable and considerate expert. He is in charge of the appointment and appraisal of ENT Colleagues, both Consultants and Junior Staff alike. He also has wide ranging responsibilities for the education of Medical Students within their ENT attachment, and also for GP Postgraduate ENT Education.

Mr Wareing’s Private ENT work started in 2000 when John Booth, his predecessor at Barts, saw an opportunity to retire by asking him to take over the care of his established Upper Wimpole Street Practice. In 2005 Mr Wareing chose to move his growing practice to the special setting of The London Clinic, Harley Street, where he and his colleague Mr Jonathan Harcourt are the only two ENT Surgeons to hold permanent rooms within the Clinic. Since that time he has equipped his Consulting Room with the very best equipment available for modern office based ENT practice.
Mr Wareing is also pleased to work as an Honorary Consultant for St Luke’s Hospital for the Clergy, Fitzroy Square.Mr Wareing is a well respected colleague, seeing patients from around the South East of England and overseas. He has featured in articles in the Daily Mail and the Observer, in radio shows and has written book chapters on a number of topics including the development of the ear and on voice problems. He has published over 40 peer reviewed articles and is invited to lecture within the UK and abroad.
Tatler Doctors Guide 2013
In 2007 he was one of only a handful of ENT Surgeons to appear in the ‘Tatler’ Guide to the top 250 Private Health Professionals in the UK. He also appears in the updated 2013 version of this guide.Mr Wareing lives in North West London. He is married to a doctor and they have 4 children. He is a keen (ex single figure handicap) golfer and has been pleased to win several medical golfing society trophies. He is also a keen cyclist, and cycled with a friend from Lands End to John O Groats in 2012, raising £25000 for Deafness Research UK and Help for Heroes.’
The Tatler-recommended charidee-supporting Mr Wareing provides for us on his website the address of his Registered Office: c/o Sandison Easson & Co. Rex Buildings Wilmslow Cheshire SK9 1HY
(Company No 09903639-Registered in England & Wales)
Wilmslow is located at what was the heart of geographical area of the Cheshire arm of the North Wales/Cheshire trafficking ring.

Mr Sabin has been a Consultant for 16 years. He has particular expertise in the Neurosurgical aspects of Skull Base Surgery and a wealth of experience in the use of Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. His areas of interest include Skull Base Surgery, Cervical Spine Surgery,  and the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia and pituitary tumours. Private patients requiring both ENT and Neurosurgical expertise are seen individually by both Mr Wareing and Mr Sabin and are then discussed jointly by the Consultant to ensure optimisation of management, in conjunction with patient desires.’

Mr Sabin is available for those patients whom the Walton Centre have left to die because of their association with those who have challenged the paedophiles’ friends in north Wales (see post ‘A Vampire at Glyndwr University!’). Or probably not, if a distress flare has been sent up by Dafydd.

Mr Wareing of Very Expensive Private Practice has featured in the media, including in that organ dedicated to the NHS ‘The Guardian’, as well as the Mirror and the BBC. Not that Mr Wareing bothers to supply a photo of these publications, he prioritised ‘Tatler’ in that regard.

Mr Wareing works at The London Clinic, a private clinic which sprawls over much of the Harley Street disctrict of London.

John Biffen, the Thatcherite Tory MP who went to school with my father and who knew about the Westminster Paedophile Ring and the lengths to which a great many people were going to conceal it (see post ‘A Local Boy Made Good’), was a Trustee of The London Clinic, 1994-2002, which spans the whole period of the Waterhouse Inquiry and the publication of the Waterhouse Report.

In Ian MacGregor’s book ‘The Story Of The Miners’ Strike 1984-5′, MacGregor mentions that when he read that John Paul Getty II had given £100k to the striking miners’ Christmas appeal in 1984 which had been launched by Anne Scargill, Arthur Scargill’s wife, MacGregor called upon David Hart – the shady right wing figure who was behind many dark matters during Thatcher’s years in office – to arrange a meeting between MacGregor and Getty at ‘The London Clinic’ ‘where he was more or less permanently in residence’. At the meeting, Getty gave Hart a cheque for £100k to the National Working Miners.

Scargill’s daughter is a Top Doctor. Scargill’s friend Michael Mansfield QC who founded the Socialist Labour Party with Scargill knew what was happening to me in north Wales in 1993 because I wrote and told him about it. I wrote to Mansfield and explained that I had been prosecuted under the legislation introduced by Thatcher’s Gov’t to criminalise picketing miners after I attempted to get answers from the north Wales mental health services when Top Docs and Gwynedd Social Services social workers had broken the law. The much publicised police investigation into a possible paedophile ring in north Wales/Cheshire was underway when I was prosecuted and when I wrote to Mansfield. He wrote me a one line reply thanking me for my letter.

The website of The London Clinic is a source of high quality entertainment. We are told that ‘The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. The London Clinic has a number of premises across Harley Street and Devonshire Place…’

The London Clinic may be one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, but they’re all heart down at The London Clinic: ‘The charitable status of The London Clinic means that our surpluses are reinvested back into the hospital and our journey since 1932 has seen significant expansion and development’.

This charidee has been so successful at raising dosh to reinvest back into itself that The London Hospital’s Duchess of Devonshire Wing cost ninety million quid and that was a few years ago.

Highlights in the evolution of The London Hospital include:

In 1932, The opening of The London Clinic, which was performed by the Duchess of York, accompanied by the Duke of York (later King George VI) on 18th February 1932.

On 10 May 1949, a visit by Winston Churchill to Anthony Eden (later Lord Avon), presumably when Eden was laid up in The London Clinic.

In 1963 Elizabeth Taylor was spotted leaving The London Clinic with her knee in a splint after falling on a film set.

In 1989 HRH Prince Carlo opened the physiotherapy department at The London Clinic.

In 1991 HRH Princess Margaret, aka Ma’am Darling, who availed herself of the services of a few private Top Docs herself in her quest for chemical recreation (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’) opened the MRI unit in the radiology department. Ma’am Darling’s husband Lord Snowdon was the bisexual son of a Welsh Top Doc; Lord Snowdon was reputed to have used the services of rent boys and used to visit north Wales. As an elderly man, Lord Snowdon had a relationship with Marjorie Wallace, who’s selfless service to Top Docs who were involved with serious organised crime was pretty much unsurpassed (see post ‘One Dangerous Fucker’).

In 2002, TV star Martine McCutcheon opened the latest development of The London Clinic at 119 Harley Street. Martine was an actress in East Enders. As was Barbara Windsor, who probably would have been a more suitable celeb to have opened a new bit of The London Clinic.

In 2005, Nigel Havers opened the new consulting room suites at 145 Harley Street. Nigel is the son of Sir – later Lord – Michael Havers, the Tory MP for Wimbledon, 1970-87, who had many constituents who doubled up as Top Docs at St George’s. Havers was the corrupt Attorney General for England and Wales as well as for N Ireland, 1979-87, who consistently blocked the prosecution of ‘VIP paedophiles’, as well as the prosecution of nearly all not such VIP paedophiles in north Wales/Cheshire. His sister Lord Elizabeth Butler-Sloss concealed the extent of the Cleveland Child Abuse Scandal (see post ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas And The Culprits Were Named’) and during the brief few minutes for which she Chaired the IICSA, Butler-Sloss tried to prevent any investigations into the Anglican Church. Butler-Sloss is a high profile Anglican.

In 2007 the Duchess of Devonshire attended the official opening of the new consulting room building at 5 Devonshire Place. The Duchess of Devonshire, who was born Deborah Freeman-Mitford, one of the famous fascist family.

Debo’s daughter Emma married Tobias Tennant, son of the 2nd Lord Glenconner. Charlie Tennant, the eldest son of the 3rd Lord Glenconner, was the heroin addict who flogged photos of Princess Margaret in fancy dress at a knees-up to raise money for drugs. Charlie’s dad the 3rd Lord Glenconner  owned Mustique, the island that Ma’am Darling used to visit to let her hair down with her toyboy Roddy Llewellyn, where she wandered around in a kaftan like a Royal Elizabeth Taylor. Charlie Tennant died in 1996, of either Hep B or HIV, I’ve forgotten which. Debo’s daughter Sophia’s second husband was Alastair Morrison, Sir Peter Morrison’s nephew.

After David Cameron became PM, Debo gave media interviews stating that Cameron and his drip of a wife ‘were rather good for the country’. Debo was mates with Sam the Drip’s father, Sir Reginald Sheffield. Sam’s mum Annabel later divorced old Reggie and remarried William Waldorf Astor III – the son of Bill Astor who starred in the Profumo Affair – who was the nephew of her own stepfather, Michael Langhorne Astor.I cannot help thinking that if these domestic arrangements were occurring on a council estate in Merthyr Tydfil, they would be the cause of much pompousing and huffing and puffing from Call Me Dave.

2007 was a good year for The London Clinic. As well as Debo opening their new block, members of staff at The London Clinic joined the Xtreme Everest expedition. Lest anyone believes that the staff of The London Clinic just went up Everest to enjoy themselves, the website of The London Clinic reminds us that the Everest expedition was about Research and Helping People. The London Clinic is pursuing ‘research’ up Everest which will benefit hundreds of thousands of people no less.

In 2010, Joanna Lumley opened the consulting rooms and pathology laboratory at 116 and 120 Harley Street.

In 2010 The London Clinic received another visitor almost as glam as Joanna Lumley. HM the Queen Lilibet opened the new, purpose built, state-of-art cancer facility at 22 Devonshire Place. Debo didn’t peg out until 2014, so perhaps she was too busy admiring Cameron and the notepaper which his wife designed for a living to make it to the opening, so Lilibet substituted.

In 2011, HRH Princess Alexandra opened the new Eye Centre at 119 Harley Street and was greeted by Professor Robin Williamson.

In 2011, The London Clinic received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. International Trade in what is not made clear.

In 2013, members of staff at The London Clinic were off up Everest again, continuing their investigations of human adaption to hypoxia at high altitude. Definitely not on a jolly.

In 2017 Camilla opened the new state-of-the-art 13 bed ICU at 20 Devonshire Place.

As all good charidees do, The London Clinic has a Patron, a Life President and a Board of Trustees.

The Patron is Camilla:

The Life President is The Duchess of Devonshire. Or was, until she turned her toes up.

The Board of Trustees of The London Clinic acts as its Board of Directors, overseeing and directing the activities of the charidee.

The Trustees are:

  • Mr Hamish Leslie Melville – Chairman
  • Lady Otton
  • Mr Manish Chande
  • Professor John Gribben
  • Mr Nicholas Melhuish

Hamish Leslie Melville, the Chairman of this medical charidee, is a banker. Melville is: Chairman, Investment Banking Committee of Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc; Chairman of Mercantile Investment Trust plc (formerly J.P. Morgan Fleming Mercantile Investment Trust plc; was MD of Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd, 2005-08; Chairman of Mithras Investment plc, 1994-08; Chairman of Old Mutual South Africa Trust plc; Director of Scottish Investment Trust plc, 1996-07; of Northern Recruitment Group, 1997-04; of Persimmon plc, 1995-10; of Jamestown Investments Ltd, 1992-94; Eclipse Film Partners No 1 LLP, 2006-14; 73 Cadogan Square Freehold Ltd, 2007-08; Erlangers Ltd, 2000-06; Scottish Woodlands Ltd, 1992-05; Brechin Castle Centre Ltd, 1996-02; Dunedin Capital Partners Ltd, 1992-95; West Highland Woodlands, April 1992-June 1992; Batsford Estates (1983) Co Ltd, 1991-92.

Melville is also the former Chairman of the National Trust, Scotland.

In Jan 2006, the business diary from The Torygraph reported that ‘Credit Suisse First Boston managing director Hamish Leslie Melville has upset his neighbours with plans to build a 43-turbine wind farm on his Lochluichart estate in the Scottish Highlands. Leslie Melville, along with a company formed by Savills and a Dutch wind farm developer, has applied for planning permission to erect the windmills on land the developers describe as “degraded habitat”. Local residents disagree. They’ve set up a protest group called A Wind Farm Too Far, arguing there’s plenty of wildlife and that the steel giants would wreck the view and threaten tourism. Apparently, rather than take an annual rent, the estate has opted for a stake in the venture. My Scottish mole estimates that if all goes according to plan, the project could rake in £625 m over the wind farm’s 25-year lifetime. Not a bad return for Leslie Melville – a former Chairman of the National Trust for Scotland – who was unavailable for comment.’

Lady Helen Otton is a Lady as a result of being married to a Sir, namely Sir Philip Otton, a former Lord Justice of Appeal, 1995-01. Lady Helen describes herself as a ‘conference organiser’. She was a Director of: Everyman Action Against Male Cancer, 2010-13; ICR Enterprises Ltd, 2010-13; The Maytree Respite Centre, 2005-10; Classical Opera, 2002-06; Nottingham Law School Ltd, 199394.

Some years ago Lady Helen Otton’s name appeared in a ‘Daily Mail’ article which named and shamed ‘acolytes’ who had ‘dined at tax-payers expense’ with Tony and Cherie Blair.

Manish Chande describes himself thus: ‘Manish is a senior partner of Clearbell Capital LLP and has over 30 years of real estate experience and is involved in all aspects of the business. Manish is Chairman of the Investment Committee. Manish co-founded Mountgrange Investment Management in 2007 and was the CEO of Mountgrange Capital, a private property investment and development group from 2002. He was previously a board director at Land Securities plc, CEO of Trillium, a pioneering sale and lease-back property business; and CEO of Imry, a publicly-quoted property investment and development company. Manish originally trained as a chartered accountant at Midgley Snelling & Co. between 1975 and 1980 and worked at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London from 1980 to 1985. Manish has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1980. In 2008 he was elected a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was a Commissioner of English Heritage between 2003 and 2011. In 2007, Manish was appointed a Trustee of The London Clinic and in 2012 he was appointed a Trustee of the Canal and River Trust.’

The London Clinic’s website says of Professor John Gribben: ‘Professor John Gribben graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1980. He subsequently trained in Haematology at University College London and in Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, where he remained on the faculty for 17 years before returning to the UK. He specialises in haematological cancers including lymphomas, leukaemias and bone marrow transplantation. His NHS post is as Consultant Haematologist and Medical Oncologist Barts and The London NHS Trust.’

He is the author of more than 300 articles and chapters in peer-reviewed publications and has a global reputation for his work in researching new drugs and forms of cancer treatment. He has grant funding from The National Cancer Institute and Cancer Research UK for pioneering studies in leukaemia and lymphoma. He has sat on and chaired numerous international executive committees dedicated to investigating new approaches to cancer care, and several of the editorial boards for professional publications which are focused on cancer. He has lectured across the world on new therapies for cancer treatment.’

John Gribben features on the website of Barts Cancer Institute, which mentions that he was a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow 1987-89, at UCL and a Fogarty International Fellowship, 1989-1991, at Harvard.

Nicholas Melhuish is a ‘fund manager’: ‘Nicholas Melhuish joined Amundi in 2013 as head of global equities. He was previously head of global equities at UBS Asset Management (2007-2012), lead portfolio manger for global equity strategies at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management (2003-2007) at San Diego, California and in London and senior portfolio manager, international core equity, at Putnam Investments, London (1999-2003). Nicholas started his career as an analyst and small cap portfolio manager at Schroder Investment Management (1991-1999). He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Modern History from New College, Oxford and is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.’

.

Take note: the Top Docs of The London Clinic trained in the NHS and for most of their careers held senior NHS jobs as well as extensive private practices. Now who was looking after their NHS patients when they were busy at that charidee The London Clinic? Just look at how many of those involved in running the charidee are people who work in global capitalism…

Other news:

The Governor of HMP Berwyn, the UK Gov’ts new ‘flagship’ prison – the biggest prison in the UK – which no English authority wanted in its back yard but was welcomed with open arms by the idiots who represent Wales in both the Senedd and Westminster, has been suspended over unspecified ‘allegations’.

Operation Pallial has resulted in another conviction of an elderly sex offender who worked in a children’s home in north Wales. Once more the bravery of the victims has been praised. If only someone had listened to them as well as the screams coming from the numerous other victims 30 years ago. I cannot share the police’s excitement at their inadequate action decades too late. The elderly paedophile who has just been imprisoned was not convicted until he was 79 yrs old because the full might of the British state was deployed to protect him, not the kids whom he assaulted. Many of them will be dead now anyway, kids in care and Empowered Service Users don’t usually make it as far as 79 yrs old.

Dafydd is in his late 80s, as is Lucille.

Sir Norman Bettison, the former senior officer of the South Yorkshire Police, has been told that he will no longer face any charges as a result of the Hillsborough disaster. Bettison had faced four counts of misconduct in a public office. He was accused of telling lies about the ‘culpability of fans’ and his role in the wake of the tragedy, but the CPS has now said that insufficient evidence meant there was no real prospect of securing a conviction. This is because of ‘changes in the evidence of two witnesses’ and the death of a third witness. How very convenient.

Sir Norman was accused of untruthfully describing his role in the South Yorkshire Police response to Hillsborough – where over 90 people died – as ‘peripheral’ in a 1998 comment to then Chief Inspector of Constabulary Sir David O’Dowd, when applying for the job of Chief Constable in Merseyside. He was also accused of lying to Merseyside Police Authority when he said he had never attempted to shift blame for the disaster ‘on to the shoulders of Liverpool supporters’. Bettison was alleged to have lied in a statement issued on 13 September 2012 following the publication of the Hillsborough Independent Panel report, when he said he had never offered any interpretation other than that the behaviour of Liverpool fans did not cause the disaster. He was also accused of misconduct over a statement released the following day in which he said he had never ‘besmirched’ Liverpool fans.

The court heard that the prosecution relied on two witnesses, Mark Ellaby and a woman identified only as Mrs J. It was alleged by Mr Ellaby that, over a pint in a pub while on an MBA course together in 1989, Sir Norman said he had been appointed to a team, the role of which was to blame the fans. Paul Greaney QC, defending Sir Norman, said it took ‘repeated requests’ from the defence for the other students to be traced by the IPCC. When ‘eventually’ they were, fifteen other students and a lecturer were contacted and ‘not a single one’ recalled Sir Norman expressing any ‘inappropriate view’ about Hillsborough.

Those witnesses with the very bad memories were on an MBA course. They will now be running the NHS, the Social Services, the County Councils, teaching in university business schools and of course like Bettison, some may have achieved high rank in the police.

It’s OK Dafydd and Lucille, you have nothing to worry about at all. I’ve got 10,000 documents, dozens of people were found dead, but you are absolutely safe from any risk of prosecution.

My post ‘Additional Security Measures’ details the fabrication of documentation by the Home Office and the order to stress the alleged bad behaviour of the fans rather than the inadequacies of the police that Home Office officials gave before the publication of the Report into Hillsborough by Lord Justice Peter Taylor. The Home Office were ably assisting Dafydd and the gang at the same time.

The police officers who fabricated and altered witness statements in the wake of Hillsborough were from the South Yorkshire force. The South Yorkshire force were involved in the brutality towards striking miners in 1984-85 and in the collusion with the paedophile gang in Yorkshire.

Bettison joined the South Yorkshire Police in 1975. In May 1993 he was appointed Assistant Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police. In 1998 he became Chief Constable of Merseyside Police. Bettison retired from the police in January 2005 to become Chief Executive of Centrex, which provided training and development to police forces in the UK and enforcement agencies throughout the world until it was abolished in March 2007. Bettison rejoined the police service in January 2007 as Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police. He attempted to secure a package to receive both a retirement pension from Merseyside and a salary from the new post; he threatened legal action but the claim was settled out of court.

Jimmy Savile was on excellent terms with the police right across Yorkshire. The Merseyside Police colluded with Dafydd and his gang.

After the Battle of Orgreave was brought to the UK public by the Great British Press, Liz Stables, the Angel at the Student Health Centre at UCNW/Bangor University, told me that ‘those miners should be shot’. Liz was part of the trafficking gang in north Wales. One boy at Bryn Estyn maintained that he’d been sexually assaulted at gunpoint. But then I was followed by a gun wielding policeman before I left Wales, as was someone who made a witness statement about me being threatened by NHS staff and managers from the North West Wales NHS Trust.

After the Court case in which all charges were dropped against Bettison, Bettison talked of the ‘loss of loved ones’, the ‘enduring tragedy’, ‘a devastating loss’, ‘all of our sympathies’ and then reminded everyone that ‘I have been forced to deny, strenuously, that I was guilty of any wrongdoing in the aftermath of the disaster’.

A few weeks after Liz told me that the miners should be shot, she told me that she’d been at an event where dear old Dafydd dropped by in his helicopter and that ‘Dr DA was great’.

Never mind a murdering paedophile gang, the boys in blue got their priorities right:

In Memoriam – Dr Julian Tudor Hart

BBC News Wales Online has reported the death of Julian Tudor Hart, real name Dr Alan Julian Macbeth Tudor-Hart, the Bare Foot Top Doctor of the Valleys. Tudor Hart died on Sunday at the age of 91, this most voluble supporter of the NHS obviously hanging on until the NHS’s 70th anniversary celebrations finished on Saturday.

Writing on Twitter, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called Dr Hart a ‘pioneer of quality primary care’ and said that ‘We will continue to be inspired by his work to campaign against inequalities in healthcare’.

Dr Tudor Hart was born in London in 1927 into ‘a staunchly left-wing family. His father Alex volunteered as a surgeon with forces fighting Franco in the Spanish Civil War’ and Dr Tudor Hart followed in his footsteps, studying medicine at Cambridge University and then London University, all egalitarian like.

Julian Tudor Hart was the son of Dr Alexander Tudor-Hart and Dr Alison Macbeth. Julian was a descendent of American businessman Frederic Tudor and Ephraim Hart, a Bavarian Jew who became a prominent merchant in New York and was reportedly a partner of John Jacob Astor. The name was originally Hirz.

Julian’s paternal grandfather, the Canadian artist Percyval Hart, married his Polish-French cousin Éléonora Délia Julie Aimée Hart Kleczkowska and later changed the family surname to Tudor-Hart. Kleczkowska was the daughter of diplomat Michel Alexandre Cholewa, comte Kleczkowski (Michał Kleczkowski; 1818–1886) and granddaughter of Julie Sobieska, a direct descendent of John III Sobieski, King of Poland in the 17th century.

Julian Tudor Hart was a member of the Sigerist Society, 1947-55. The Sigerist Society was named in honour of Henry E. Sigerist and was established by Marxist doctors in 1947 and met several times a year until 1955, to discuss the theoretical and social aspects of medicine from a Marxist point of view. The members included Sir Richard Doll. Doll, for some unfathomable reason after his ground breaking work demonstrating the association between smoking and lung cancer, was an adviser on the laughable piece of research published by the paedophiles’ friends of Ysbyty Gwynedd and Bangor University in 1990, which claimed to have shown a link between children who drank buttermilk from cows in Gwynedd and stomach cancer (see post ‘They Think It’s All Over – It Is Now’). The crack research team only used three people in their control sample and one of them didn’t have stomach cancer, so the world beating research was quietly withdrawn not long after publication.

Most members of the Sigerist Society were also members of the Socialist Medical Association, which later became the Socialist Health Association, which was affiliated to the Labour Party. Ed and David Miliband’s Uncle Harry was a member of the Socialist Health Association, throughout the happy years that he worked at Guy’s and Tommy’s, cheek by jowl with some of the richest Top Doctors in the UK – who’s Rolls Royces could be seen parked outside their Harley Street practices once they’d done the bare minimum for the plebs in the NHS – who also concealed the crimes of Dafydd and the paedophile gang. Tudor Hart was President of the Socialist Health Association.

After a decade in academic research, in 1961 Tudor Hart moved from London to the mining community of Glyncorrwg, Neath Port Talbot, where he worked as a GP for 30 years. For 15 years, Tudor Hart’s partner in the practice was Dr Brian Gibbons, who was the Welsh Gov’ts Health Minister, 2005-07. When Gibbons was Health Minister, I told him that I had documentary evidence of serious crime in the NHS in north Wales, including on the part of Keith Thomson, the CEO of the NW Wales NHS Trust. Gibbons wrote back and told me that ‘this correspondence is over’. Thomson announced his retirement the day after my lawyers summoned him before a High Court judge who threatened him with imprisonment. Thomson didn’t retire – Gibbons appointed him as CEO of the NHS Trust in Pembrokeshire and West Wales. Which subsequently went tits up at the hands of Thomson.

Under Gibbons, the suicide rates in Wales were some of the worst in the UK and mental health patients in north Wales were violently assaulted by mental health staff and then fitted up by the same staff in court. Gibbons was also a member of the Socialist Health Association. Like Tudor Hart, Gibbons was from impeccably proletarian roots – his father was a member of the Irish Gov’t.

Tudor Hart had a research interest in health inequalities dating back to the beginning of his career. Which must have been why by the time that he died, health inequalities in Wales were still huge. In 1971 Tudor Hart devised the inverse care law, which stated that those who need healthcare most are least likely to get it. Tudor Hart and his mate Gibbons ensured that was indeed the prevailing situation in Wales throughout their years of practice.

Tudor Hart was a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and in 2006 he was awarded the Discovery Prize by the Royal College of General Practitioners – a national award given every three years for outstanding research in general practice. His nomination read: ‘His ideas and example pervade modern general practice, and remain at the cutting edge of thinking and practice concerning health improvement in primary care.’

Dr D.G.E. Wood, the corrupt GP from north Wales who helped facilitate the sex trafficking ring in that region, held a series of senior roles in the Royal College of GPs for decades, including those concerned with the training and inspection of GPs and that of Treasurer.

A paedophile gang operated in the area in which Tudor Hart practised.

Tudor Hart, like his dad, was a member of the Communist Part of Great Britain. He stood as the CP candidate for Aberavon in the General Elections of 1964, 1966 and 1970. His opponent and the winning candidate was Labour’s John Morris, now Lord John Morris, who has spent his entire career concealing child sexual abuse and the associated crime. Tudor Hart didn’t expose him, probably because Tudor Hart and his mates were concealing exactly the same crimes.

The present MP for Aberavon is that horny handed son of toil, Stephen Kinnock, graduate of Queen’s College, Cambridge and the College of Europe, Bruges, the son of the Baron and Baroness Kinnock of Windbaggery and Troughing and the husband of the PM of Denmark.

Up the workers!

I’m just off to relax with a musical medley for the evening. I’ll begin with Kool and the Gang, ‘Celebration’.

P.S. Please can I ask the rest of the paedophiles’ friends to not die until after the weekend? They’re dropping at quite a rate and I’m working on a series of posts and don’t want to have to break off to write more In Memoriams. Please, even Dafydd, can you all just hang on until I’ve got time to do your memories justice? Diolch.

They Think It’s All Over – It Is Now

A review of Children in Care in England and Wales has just been published. I decided to give it a wide berth when I saw that the review had been carried out by ‘experts’ from the ‘social care sector’ – I suspected that I knew what would be in that review. Unfortunately there was no escape because when I switched the radio on, the ‘Today’ programme was slap bang in the middle of interviewing the man who led the review, the Director of Children’s Social Services in Leeds. As in Jimmy Savile Central. I was not surprised when I heard that the main problem was austerity in the face of rising demand and that everyone is agreed that the child protection services are in crisis.

My posts ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’ and ‘Dulce et Decorum est’ discussed the case of Ceryl Wyn Davies, a pillar of the community in Blaenau Ffestiniog who was given a job as the Head of a primary school by Gwynedd County Council after he served a prison sentence for indecently assaulting children. Ceryl Wyn indecently assaulted his pupils whilst working as a Headteacher and received another prison sentence. After leaving prison he was welcomed back into the fold once more and Gwynedd County Council maintained that they knew nuzzing. Someone has now given me yet more information which suggests that Gwynedd County Council have learned nothing after the unfortunate events involving Mr Davies.

After yet another teacher from Blaenau was arrested for sex offences against children last year and Gwynedd once again used that tired old chestnut that he had ‘slipped through the net’, someone from the area put in a freedom of information request to investigate whether Gwynedd County Council were carrying out DBS checks on their staff as legally required.

They discovered that in Dec 2017, 60 staff in schools run by Gwynedd County Council were employed yet had not received DBS certificates. Gwynedd claimed that 60 risk assessments had taken place and ‘control measures’ had been put in place.

I am fairly sure that it is illegal for staff to work in jobs requiring DBS clearance until the certificates arrive. I have friends in that position and even people volunteering as Brownie and Scout leaders have had to wait until their DBS arrives before they can begin work.

My correspondent has also sent me the following information:

As you probably are fully aware, us Welsh do like our Men’s Choirs and we have a couple here in Blaenau that have done rather well for themselfs over the years
One choir is The Brythoniaid which Ceryl is linked to, the other is ‘Cor Meibion Moelwyn’ which Ceryl still to this day plays a big part in, I suppose you could say that their achievement to date is down to him (not that I want to praise the fker).
Ceryl Davies is known for his Poetic & Musical skills. He has written many songs, has made a few albums and has worked for/with Cor Meibion Moelwyn since their very beginning.
Over the years I have heard of old members of the choir and claims and admittance of sexual abuse on more than one occasion. The latest has just hit the headlines just a few months back. He was a so called ‘pillar of the community’ as they seem to all be discribed who had not long retired from his post of post man here in Blaenau. He is currently serving a eight year stretch after his sister came forward and spoke of her rape ordeal at the hands of her brother “Gwyn Vaughn Jones”. The case was a historical one which he had always known would one day come to light. His sister had always said that whilst their parents where still alive she would continue to hide his abuse, therefore on their death she came forward and reported her brother.
Gwyn Vaughn jones is/was not only a singer but also was up there in the managerial team of Cor Meibion Moelwyn and a good friend of Ceryl Wyn confirmed by his first wife.
I do not know any of the people or the Cors named in the above e mail, but when I lived in north Wales I was told on a number of occasions that the Cors were being used as networks by which people were concealing wrongdoing and also climbing socially, including bagging themselves jobs. I stress that not everyone in Cors did this, some members were there because they enjoyed singing, but some Cors were definitely being misused. I know one Cor leader who was furious when she discovered that some people had joined her Cor only in order to ingratiate themselves to one particular member who held a senior role in education in Gwynedd and was in a position to wield influence over employment selection panels. There was one Cor in Gwynedd in particular which people would fight to join and I was told that the reason was that it was a Cor full of of influential people and being a member did wonders for one’s career prospects.
On one occasion I saw the phenomenon in action. I was friendly with someone who sung in a Cor who became very cross when he realised that he had been befriended by  a young woman who had only done so in order to access the Cor in which he sang. It transpired that her father – a retired officer with the North Wales Police – had told her to join the Cor to get to know a member who held a very senior position in Coleg Menai (which has now merged with Coleg Llandrillo), because her father had been told that a job as a Welsh language class organiser would soon be advertised and that the member of the Cor would be deciding who got the job. The young woman did not have the qualifications or the experience required for the job and lied on her CV, but her strategy worked. She joined the Cor, befriended the big wig from Coleg Menai, got the job and was photographed at the National Eisteddfod a few weeks later with Leighton Andrews, the former AM, who was praising the Welsh language learning initiative which this young woman was by then leading. A couple of weeks before this happened, I was invited to the Cor to go and watch my friend singing. The guest of honour that evening was Dafydd Iwan.
So if anyone else wants a job at Coleg Llandrillo for which they do not have the appropriate qualifications or experience, you need to join the Cor of which Dr Ian Rees is a member, make friends with him and lie on your CV. You’ll land a job for which you’ll be paid £40k pa despite being a fairly new graduate and you can even post selfies online accompanied by a comment that you can’t be bothered to go into work, you feel like a duvet day so you’ll be pulling a sickie. Leighton will still be delighted to meet you at the Eisteddfod and praise your hard work.

Now for the exposing of another group of pompous, vindictive charlatans. In the late 1980s there was a health scare in Gwynedd as a result of claims that there was an inexplicably high rate of gastric cancer in the region. It was suggested that the presence of so much bracken in the county might have been a possible cause – Japan also had a high rate of gastric cancer and that had been attributed to bracken in Japanese diets. I seem to remember that the fickle finger of suspicion was pointed at bracken spores in particular being carcinogenic.

The best brains in Gwynedd began investigating and in the early 1990s there were media reports that provided the explanation for the high rate of gastric cancer. The culprit was buttermilk. It had been found that elderly people who had spent their childhoods in Gwynedd and who had consumed buttermilk as children were those who had an increased risk of cancer, the theory being that the cows in Gwynedd had grazed on land infested with bracken and that the carcinogens in the bracken had passed through into the milk. People who had moved to Gwynedd as adults were reassured that this was not a problem with which they needed to be concerned and the future health of the people of Gwynedd was not considered to be at risk because of the decline in the drinking of buttermilk.

Some time after this ground breaking research received massive publicity on a UK-wide level, it was quietly admitted that the research was ‘flawed’ and that there was in fact no association at all between a childhood drinking buttermilk in Gwynedd and gastric cancer.

I have now discovered just how seriously flawed that research was and who published it. Questions need to be asked regarding how this paper was ever accepted for publication in the first place and why the work received the endorsement of one of the biggest names in 20th century epidemiology – Sir Richard Doll. I’d also like to know why on earth the researchers who conducted the research were ever allowed to continue in research, let alone end up as leading lights in healthcare research in Wales.

The paper concerned is entitled ‘Gastric Cancer In Gwynedd. Possible Links With Bracken.’ The authors are: O.P. Galpin; C.J. Whitaker, Rh. Whitaker; and J.Y. Kassab. Galpin’s and Rh. Whitaker’s affiliation is given as Ysbyty Gwynedd and C.J. Whitaker’s and Kassab’s affiliation is given as the Centre for Applied Statistics, UCNW.

The paper was published in the ‘British Journal of Cancer’, 1990; 61, pp 737-740.

The summary of the paper reads as follows:

101 histologically confirmed cancer patients at Ysbyty Gwynedd were matched by sex, age and social class to two hospital inpatients without cancer; 77 of the gastric cancer cases were also matched, using the same criteria, to a patient with a confirmed cancer of a different site (excluding the oesophagus). A questionnaire was used to determine bracken exposure and source of water in childhood. Residential and occupational histories were obtained and consumption of buttermilk, a potential vector of the bracken carcinogens, was quantified. Comparison of gastric cancer patients with the non-cancer controls indicated that exposure to bracken in childhood had an increased risk (RR = 2.34, P < 0.001) compared to no exposure and that length of residence in Gwynedd was associated with increased risk (RR = 2.46 for the duration of 61 years and over P < 0.01). Consumption of buttermilk in children and adulthood was attended by increased risk (RR = 1.61 and 1.86 respectively, the latter being statistically significant P< 0.05). Neither the residential effect not consumption of buttermilk in adulthood remained significant when considered in a multivariate analysis with bracken exposure.

Can anyone see the glaring inadequacies – indeed has anyone not seen the glaring inadequacies? There was a control group of THREE. Furthermore, not all of the patients in the study had gastric cancer. Excuse me, but this really is case of ‘for fuck’s sake’. This paper is complete hogwash – no doubt the questionnaires were just as nonsensical as the ‘statistical analysis’ was, but even if the questionnaire was perfect, this paper would still be hogwash because of the control group of three and the inclusion of someone who did not have gastric cancer.

The original version of the paper was submitted in Oct 1988, the referees gave advice and it was revised and accepted for publication in Dec 1990. Someone read this bullshit and did not notice the control group of three or the person who did not have gastric cancer. One can only imagine what the original draft of the paper was like.

The patients in this ‘research’ were diagnosed and treated at Ysbyty Gwynedd and Llandudno General Hospital. In the light of the nature of the complete fuckwits who are employed in those institutions, it is highly likely that the diagnoses were wrong anyway. One of the pathologists who has long held a senior role in the labs that were relied upon to carry out the histology upon which this research is based is Dr Avril Wayte. She is a mate of Dr Dafydd Alun Jones’s and is a Trustee of CAIS. Avril is married to Dr Donald Wayte, a pathologist who worked in north Wales for decades and who once gave a media interview accusing the parents of children who died of SIDS of having murdered them, on the basis of no evidence at all. Wayte’s ‘expert opinion’ was relied upon in many murder trials, including that of Howard Hughes, who is currently sitting in prison for the July 1995 murder of seven year old Sophie Hook. Many people believe that Howard Hughes is the victim of a serious miscarriage of justice – there was no forensic evidence at all which linked him to the crime. Before he was convicted of Sophie’s murder, Howard Hughes spent time in Bryn Estyn as well as that other prison of Dafydd’s, Garth Angharad and alleged that he had been abused at Bryn Estyn. He was denied compensation on the grounds that he is a convicted murderer. See post ‘News Round Up – And Murder Most Foul’.

Howard was convicted of Sophie’s murder at the same time as Dafydd and the paedophiles’ friends were trying to frame me for serious crimes. Just after Dafydd ‘retired’, when the North Wales Hospital Denbigh ‘closed’ – the paedophiles and their friends were in overdrive at the time.

The Gwynedd patient data used in Galpin et al’s paper was collected between 1982-87 and was given to the Cardiff Cancer Registry . So their dataset will be a joke.

The research for this joke of a paper was funded by Gwynedd Research Committee. Sir Richard Doll provided ‘support and advice at the commencement of the work’. Did Richard Doll know that a control group of THREE was being used and that one of the patients did not have gastric cancer??? Dr I. Antice Evans provided input re the questionnaires; Dr Gwilym Wynne Griffiths, Professor David Barker and Dr Peter Ellwood provided ‘helpful advice and support’.

Dr I. Antice Evans had published on bracken previously. In 1958 Dr Evans published ‘Studies On Bracken Poisoning In Cattle’ and in 1963 he/she published ‘Effects of Bracken Rhizomes On The Pig’. In 1963 their affiliation was given as the School of Agriculture at UCNW. So this was an elderly agricultural scientist who advised on the questionnaires given to cancer patients. Twenty-five years after he published work on pigs.

Dr Gwilym Wynne Griffith was the Medical Officer of Health for Anglesey and ‘an eminent epidemiologist’ would you believe. He died in 1989, before Galpin et al’s paper was published. Griffith was an old mate of Dafydd’s. Dafydd spent 1959-62 working on an ‘Epidemiological Research Project’ with Gwilym Wynne Griffith ‘on mental disorder and mental health needs in Anglesey’. According to Dafydd, this formed the basis of his future work (see post ‘Feet In Chains’).

Gwilym Wynne Griffith was the brother of Huw Wynne Griffith, a famous Presbytarian Minister and ecumenical leader. Born in 1915 in Liverpool, he was the second son of Rev’d Griffith Wynne Griffith, Minister of a Welsh Chapel in Anfield. He and Gwilym had a sister, Elizabeth Grace (BetiHunter, a social worker who died in 2007; and a brother, Douglas.

Huw Wynne Griffith was educated in Liverpool before the family moved in 1923 to Porthmadog, where he attended the local primary school and Porthmadog County School, then Friars SchoolBangor, when his father became minister of Tabernacl ChurchBangor. Huw Griffith  went to UCNW and then Westminster CollegeCambridge. Between 1941-44 he was Secretary and then President of the Missionary Society of Westminster College. Griffith spent a year at Bala Theological College where he completed his BD. Prof J.E. Daniel, the father of the corrupt judge Huw Daniel, was employed at Bala Theological College and the father of Dafydd Iwan and Alun Ffred Jones was also associated with the institution.

Griffith was ordained in 1945 and served the chapels of BethaniaFerryside and SeionLlansaintCarmarthen (1945-51) and Siloh (SeiloPresbyterian Church of WalesAberystwyth (1951-1983), Ceredigion. He married Mair Benson-Evans (19182003), daughter of Dr and Mrs Benson-EvansPrestatyn in 1945 in Rehoboth ChapelPrestatyn and they had three daughters – Nia in 1947Ann in 1949 and Gwawr in 1956. Nia at least is still alive and kicking – the others probably are as well – and is likely to be mates with Dafydd.

Huw Wynne Griffith was involved in the ecumenical witness from his college days. He served from 1939-41 as the General Secretary of the Student Christian Movement and represented Wales at the Christian Youth Conference in Amsterdam in August 1939. He represented the Presbyterian Church of Wales at the Faith and Order Conference of the World Council of Churches in LundSweden in 1952. In the 1950s he edited Yr Efrydydd and he also became Secretary of the three, later the four, Nonconformist denominations’ discussions on church unity. H. W. Griffith was invited to become Chairman of the Welsh Ecumenical Society in 1954.

In the 1960s Griffith was one of the most prominent leaders of the ecumenical witness within Wales. He served the Committee which prepared the Faith and Order plan of the Welsh Council of Churches (1963-64), and then became the Secretary of the Joint Committee of the Covenanting Churches of Wales (1965-68), responsible for the reports which were produced and published in 1968 and in 1971H.W. Griffith was Vice-President of the Welsh Council of Churches, 1966-68 and President, 1968-72. He was the Secretary of the Church and Society Committee in the early 1970s. Griffith represented the Presbyterian Church of Wales in the World Council of Churches in NairobiKenya in 1975. He was active in ecumenical activities in west Wales and joint founder of Ecwmene Ceredigion, a forum for young people.

Griffith was heavily involved throughout many years with Christian Aid and Shelter. He supported the Anti-Apartheid group in AberystwythAmnesty International and Ockenden Venture. Griffith welcomed children of refugees from Germany to Aberystwyth and he extended the hand of friendship to refugees from the 1956 uprising in Hungary. He and his wife Mair hosted many of the students who came to the colleges in Aberystwyth.

Huw Wynne Griffith wrote articles in the Welsh-language press, in particular Y GoleuadY TraethodyddPorfeyddEcwmeneY Genhinen and Barn. He prepared a commentary for Sunday schools on the Gospel of Mark in 1953, a book of stories for children, Gyda’r Iesu (1961) and his Davies Lecture to the General Assembly of the Connexion, on ‘C.F. Andrews, Friend of Mahatma Gandhi and a Pioneer of Missionary Work’ was published in 1978.

During WWII Griffith was a conscientious objector. He died in 1993 at Bronglais General Hospital Aberystwyth. His funeral was conducted by his Minister, Revd Pryderi Llwyd Jones in Aberystwyth. Tributes were paid to him by Rev Erastus Jones and Principal Elfed ap Nefydd Roberts, two who had been involved with Huw Wynne Griffith in the ecumenical movement. He is buried in Aberystwyth Plasgrug cemetery.

The poet Gwilym Roberts summed up his contribution in an englyn inscribed on Griffith’s gravestone:

Huw fu byw i wella’n byd
Ufudd was fu i Dduw drwy’i fywyd.

[Huw lived to make our world a better place,
An obedient servant to God throughout his life]

Which he might well have been. But he’ll have known about that paedophile ring run by Dafydd and Gwynne with which his brother and sister were colluding.

Huw Wynne Griffith’s father was a preacher from Anglesey who was a graduate of UCNW. At a later date he was also a member of the Court and Council of UCNW.

Huw Wynne’s daughter is Nia Higginbotham. She uses a Wrexham address and is listed as having been a Director of: Fair Trade Wales; Meifod Consulting; Trefnu Cymundeol Cymru/Together Creating Communities.

Professor David Barker was a Top Doc and epidemiologist with an interest in botany. He was Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Southampton University and Director of the MRC Environmental Epidemiology Unit, 1984-03, where he made ‘observations on the geographical relationship between neonatal and post-neonatal mortality and heart disease’. He won the GlaxoSmithKline Prize in 1994 for this work. In 2011 Barker made a BBC ‘Horizon programme’. Barker was a colleague of Sir Donald Acheson at Southampton University. Acheson was Chief Medical Officer when Thatcher was PM and it was Acheson who assisted Norman Fowler the Health Secretary in concealing the crimes of Dafydd and the paedophiles (see post ‘Professor Prestigious And His Associates’).

I have not been able to find out who Dr Peter Ellwood is or was.

I know three of the authors of this paper. Chris Whitaker for years was the man responsible for teaching statistics to the students in the School of Psychology at Bangor University. Rhiannon Whitaker is his wife, who was one of his students. Er – a control group of THREE Chris?? Of course your  wife wouldn’t have understood that a control group of three was meaningless, because you obviously didn’t and you taught her. Rhiannon Whitaker was for a long time the Director of NWORTH, the Clinical Trials Unit at Bangor University.

I knew J.Y. Kassab as well. Dr Kassab was a grossly incompetent statistics tutor at UCNW. He was responsible for teaching first year stats to the science undergrads and I was in his class. Kassab’s teaching was utterly chaotic and his accent was so heavy that none of us could understand what he was saying. At one point he kept talking about ‘the underlying lows’. We were all asking ‘what’s a low?’. Dr Kassab then lost his rag and yelled ‘a low, a low, you know what is a low’. Then someone clicked and yelled out ‘oh, you mean a LAW’. Dr Kassab shouted back ‘yes, a low’. It was hilarious, there was no way that any of us were going to learn stats in Dr Kassab’s class. In the end, so many students went to their tutors and said that they just could not learn a thing from Kassab that one Dept – Agriculture no less – put on extra tutorials for their students. One of the tutors who held those classes, Dr Tony Chamberlain, commented that he understood that Dr Kassab gave his lectures in ‘some sort of Middle Eastern language’, which was indeed true. The other person from Agriculture who was responsible for giving the supplementary stats tutorials was the awful Prof J.B. Owen (see post ‘Not Seen Since The 80s – Carwyn’). Who couldn’t add up. One student noticed that Owen made a mistake and pointed it out to him. J.B. Owen got nasty and went into denial, the student got angry as well, was very rude to Owen and was thrown out of the class. J.B. Owen continued to make mistakes.

The Zoology students and Plant Biology students also went to their tutors in despair re Kassab and the statistics class and were simply told ‘don’t worry about it’. The fact that there was a stats exam to be passed at the end of the year was ignored. One student began singing ‘Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life’, which summed up the attitude of the college authorities – you’re all up shit creek but we are not going to address this problem.

So how did I learn stats? Brown taught me of course. The only other students who learnt anything about stats at UCNW also asked friends and relatives who were competent re stats to teach them.

Twenty years later I was in a hill walking group when I met someone who had been a forestry student at UCNW at the same time that I had done my first degree at UCNW. He said ‘oh gosh, you’ll have been in those statistics lectures then’. No-one ever forgot those lectures. It was a laugh, but the downside was that a great many ‘experts’ carrying out all that healthcare research at Bangor University do not know their arses from their elbows. Do they Chris and Rhiannon?

Not so much an underlying low but an under-lying Lowe. Anyone for Food Dudes? Pass me a Duchy Original.

No-one has ever said a word about the innumerate statistical experts at Bangor University who carry out so much NHS research. Er – perhaps because Kassab’s daughter Susan was a Top Doctor at Ysbyty Gwynedd? Susan Kassab went to Friar’s School in Bangor and then to medical school in London, then returned to Bangor for a while. Susan Kassab knew about Gwynne, Dafydd and the sex trafficking gang. A google search throws up a Dr Sossie Kassab who has a Harley Street practice offering homeopathic treatments for cancer. Sossie Kassab has been outed on a ‘quack watch’ website. However I don’t think that Sossie Kassab is Susan Kassab. Sossie’s CV states that she trained at Barts – I think that Susan Kassab trained at the Middlesex. Gwynne’s old alma mater. If anyone knows differently, please keep do clarify.

This farce of a paper which was mentored by the biggest name in UK epidemiology as well as by another very big name – Doll and Barker – was submitted in 1988. Which was when I was working for the Cancer Research Campaign at Surrey University. Whilst I was there, without my knowledge my data was given to Professor Nicola Curtin of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University who published it with her name on it as well (see post ‘Reports Of Death Were Greatly Exaggerated’). I had never heard of Curtin until I found the paper with her name on it as well as mine a few weeks ago. After giving my data to Nicola Curtin, Surrey University told me that my funding had run out and I was made redundant. Whilst I was at Surrey, a former psychiatrist colleague of Dr Tony Francis, Dr Peter Mcguire, decided that he would become a cancer researcher and took part in a research fraud which was exposed in 1990 and resulted in the suicide of Prof Tim McElwain (see posts ‘Reports Of Death Were Greatly Exaggerated’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’).

I have been told that Professor Martin Roth, a psychiatrist at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and the former President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (see post ‘The Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Connection?’), had something to do with these extraordinary happenings.

The laughable paper concerning bracken and gastric cancer based on a control sample of three was published in Dec 1990. The month in which Tony and Sadie Francis perjured themselves in an attempt to have me imprisoned. It was that which led to me being forced out of my job at St George’s Hospital Medical School the following month. In Nov 1990 Margaret Thatcher resigned as leader of the Tory Party following a challenge from Michael Heseltine. Thatcher’s failed leadership campaign was organised by her friend and PPS Sir Peter Morrison, a member of Dafydd’s paedophile gang.

I would ask Rhiannon and Chris Whitaker what the hell was going on, but they’re probably far too stupid to have grasped the bigger picture – after all they work with samples of three – so perhaps Heseltine will tell us, because he will definitely know. Heseltine is from Swansea, although he tries to be all posh and English.

Lord Heseltine (6969083278).jpg

There is an archive clip of ‘Spitting Image’ in which a crazed Heseltine is in the basement of a Gov’t building feeding documents into an enormous shredder shrieking ‘Goodbye my beauties’. Hard luck Heseltine, no matter what was destroyed by Gov’t, I have 10,000 highly incriminating documents in my possession.

‘Awound The Wagged Wock The Wagged Wascal Wan.’ But now you’ve been caught Heseltine you big ranker.

As for O.P. Galpin, I do not know him or her. O.P. Galpin had a letter published in ‘The Lancet’ in 1998 regarding the solution to inhumane and genocidal regimes. They believed that the moral instruction of young people was the only answer. No doubt Dafydd was the man to do this.

Paedophiles’ friends: not only did I never produce the sort of horse shit that you published – complete with its elementary errors – but my work was sufficiently good that you STOLE IT and used it to bag yourselves further funding and senior positions! Now, shut your mouths about Brown and me, stop your constant ‘how very dare yous’, do us all a favour, resign and crawl away. As the Old Gits would say – bugger off, sod off, piss off. You might also like to come clean regarding who co-ordinated all this, which happened whilst I was working in cancer research. Sir Richard Doll did his reputation no good at all by ‘advising’ a gang of paedophiles. But then Doll was a colleague of Donald Acheson’s…

Should anyone wish to have a good laugh at the Whitakers’ lame efforts at cancer research, here’s a link to their nonsense https://www.researchgate.net/publication/20817598_Gastric_cancer_in_Gwynedd_Possible_links_with_bracken

Rhiannon Whitaker is not a popular bunny at Bangor. A PhD student gave her the moniker The Fifth Beatle on account of a rather odd hairstyle that she sported for a long time. No-one really minded her trying to look like Paul McCartney in 1963, it was the constant smug rudeness that pissed everybody off. Rhiannon’s favourite game was to pretend to be so important that she didn’t know who the rest of us were, even those of us with whom she’d had quite extensive dealings. On one occasion I had to tolerate sitting in a multi-disciplinary research meeting with Rhiannon. She insulted everybody else on the grounds that they were historians and sociologists and then bellowed at me ‘Who are you then?’ Rhiannon knew exactly who I was, but if her memory had given her the slip, she won’t bloody well forget me now. Neither will she ever be able to sneer at the arts, humanities and social scientists again – because I can reassure them that Rhiannon does not know even the basics where quantitative research is concerned, so her success at climbing into a senior role in NHS research in Wales must have been down to another factor. Probably this one:

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones

John, Paul, George or Ringo? Is that enough for a sample on which to advise the nation with regard to any particular health risk?

  • Flickr: rhianwhit

In 2012 Rhiannon was a member of a research consortium known as the Welsh Crucible no less. In 2013 the Welsh Crucible won the ‘Times Higher Education Supplement’ award for outstanding ‘leadership’ . Rhiannon’s spiel for Welsh Crucible purposes stated that:

Rhiannon is a Chartered Statistician and Scientist who after graduating with a Mathematics degree from Bangor trained as a secondary school teacher at Cambridge University. After a career break to raise a family, a change of direction found her developing an interest in medical statistics and clinical trials. Her current research interests include trials of interventions to enhance quality of life for people living with dementia, depression and other long term conditions. A developing theme encompasses a range of child health issues building on Bangor University’s research strengths in child disabilities, autism and conduct disorders. Her methodological interests include how to bring rigorous randomised trials into community based settings such as prisons, pharmacies, care homes, schools and recreation centres. She is Associate Scientific Director for NWORTH, Bangor’s clinical trials unit.

2016 Update: Rhiannon has left Bangor University, to set up her own company and is the CEO of Whitaker Research Ltd, which provides research design, statistical and project troubleshooting services for applied health research.

She also believes that a meaningful study can be carried out using a control sample of three. I’m sure that the commissions from the NHS are rolling in.

One of the people responsible for promoting The Fifth Beatle to high office was Prof Ian Russell, latterly of Bangor University, now of Edwina Hart’s empire at Swansea University. Ian Russell caused much grief throughout his many years at Bangor. Bangor realised that they had been sold a pup when a Professor from Bangor met one of Russell’s old colleagues from York and they told him that Ian Russell was ‘an idiot’ and that Bangor were welcome to him. Ian is a healthcare researcher. Of course he is. I haven’t got time to detail the extent of Ian Russell’s fuckwittery here, but because I wasn’t a member of his research team I could have a good laugh at his excesses, rather than have to suffer as a result of them. He used to use the university photocopiers for personal business and one year he used the photocopier to produce his Christmas ’round robins’. Ian used to send photocopying through and then go to sleep in his office, so one would often find his photocopying uncollected. I found the round robins, they were great works of fiction. Ian’s round robin consisted of two pages of lies about his RAE results – his friends can’t have been academics, because the RAE results hadn’t yet been published when Ian explained that his research had been rated ‘excellent’. There were a few photos of Ian dressed up in a kilt and then an update on his hip replacement, which was as excellent as his RAE results.

The PhD student who named Rhiannon The Fifth Beatle had such problems with Ian Russell as his supervisor that he ended up suing Bangor University – as, I was told, had at least one other PhD student of Russell’s. This student told me that Russell was an incredibly selfish man who was a nightmare to deal with. The student maintained that Ian never replied to e mails no matter how urgent the matter and that in response to a formal complaint about this, Russell’s excuse had been ‘I had a cold’. Ian however expected a high level of service from everyone else. He complained bitterly about the inadequacies of the VC when the VC hadn’t replied to an e mail from Ian within 24 hours. Did the VC have a cold? No. His wife was dying of brain cancer, after the paedophiles’ friends at the Walton Centre somehow found that there was no effective treatment for her. Russell’s PhD student was appalled at Russell’s insensitivity. He’d have been really freaked out if he had known that there was a plan by Fergus Lowe and a few others – including I was told, Ian Russell – to frame the VC for a criminal offence.

Ian Russell is a lay preacher.

Carlo was Chancellor of UCNW/Bangor University throughout the glittering careers of Kassab, the Whitakers, Ian Russell and Fungus.

And this man is a Pretty Straight Kind Of Guy:

O. P. Galpin wrote the entry for William Ernest Beer on the Royal College of Physicians ‘Lives of the Fellows’ Online.

William Beer was a consultant dermatologist in Bangor, Wales. He was born in Southern India amongst the Nilgiri Hills. His father was Assistant Director of the local Pasteur Institute and engaged in anti-rabies research. His great-grandfather, George Beer had gone to India from Devon with William Bowden where, with the assistance of their wives, they had succeeded in establishing churches, hospitals and a school.

Bill Beer’s medical studies commenced in Madras and there then followed junior hospital posts in the Vellore Medical School. Here he came under the influence of an American dermatologist, H. Gass, whose enthusiasm for the subject shaped his subsequent choice of career.

After marriage, Bill and his wife, Joan, chose to return to Nilgiri Hills to work in a mission hospital. Then, owing to a change of policy for tea estate hospitals, they decided to come to Britain. Bill was able to specialise in dermatology as a result of support from the Nilgiri mission. He initially enrolled as a full time postgrad at St John’s Hospital and was subsequently appointed senior registrar at Westminster Hospital.

Although Beer did not know North Wales, he applied for the post of consultant dermatologist for the Gwynedd region. Prior to his appointment, the task of building up a dermatology service for the whole of North Wales was in the hands of Dr Ellen Emslie who had introduced modern understanding, techniques and treatment to the area. [Shurely shome mistake – Ed.] Bill Beer was able to build on this foundation and, over the years, established a reputation for the quality of his service and professional skill. [Shurely shome mistake – Ed.]

Beer’s ‘infectious enthusiasm for the practical and academic aspects of dermatology influenced many of his colleagues, not to mention the many undergraduate and postgraduate doctors who assisted him in the skin clinics’.

So that’s why, for decades, doctors have refused to work in north Wales.

Beer’s interest in dermatology resulted in many research activities and publications, eventually leading to him winning the Wycombe Prize in 1993 by the British Association of Dermatology – two years after his retirement from the NHS.

Yes, another prize for a Top Doc in north Wales, in the year that the North Wales Police closed their investigation into child abuse and concluded that there was ‘no evidence of a paedophile ring’.

Bill’s other interests included the Welsh language – he became fluent – music, gardening, astronomy and mountain walking. Both he and his wife were renowned for their hospitality and for the pastoral care that they gave to junior doctors and university students. Bill’s life was ‘profoundly influenced by a deeply held Christian faith’.

Bill was ‘tragically killed in a car accident, shortly after completing a history of the old C&A Hospital’, which, the Lives Of The Fellows Online tells us, ‘will serve as a fitting memorial to his intense commitment to the area and to his colleagues’.

That tragic accident which killed Bill Beer happened in Dec 1999. Two months before the Waterhouse Report was published. Well Dr Beer had written a history of the C&A Hospital where pretty much anything went, including prostitution on the part of the Angels.

Dafydd used to turn up at the C&A to visit patients who had attempted suicide etc.

Galpin’s name also appears in Hansard, 18 July 1990, regarding Alun Michael asking if the Secretary of State for Wales ‘will list the individuals and bodies which have commented on his proposal to reduce the number of community health councils in Wales; and how many were for a reduction and how many against a reduction’. The CHCs in Wales consist entirely of paedophiles’ friends and never raise any serious challenge to the Top Docs – many of whom sit on the CHCs – and their neglect and abuse. Thus the NHS in Wales has fought very hard to hold onto the CHCs, ‘the voice of the patients’ and the ‘NHS watchdog’.

It was Ian Grist who responded to Alun Michael’s question. Grist was a Welsh Office Minister and a very helpful one to Dafydd and the paedophiles (see post ‘The Paedophiles’ Friends Of Cardiff North’). The Secretary of State at the time was David Hunt, who served Dafydd et al so loyally in the late 80s/early 90s at the Welsh Office that Hunt was brought back as acting Secretary of State for Wales for just a few days in the summer of 1995, to lie about the North Wales Hospital having closed down. David Hunt was appointed acting Welsh Secretary 13 days before Bing Spear died. Spear was the corrupt mandarin who was the Chief Inspector of the Home Office Drugs Branch who so ably assisted Dafydd (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’). Sir Peter Morrison was found dead four days after Spear died. Peter Morrison’s sister Dame Mary was Woman-of-the-Bedchamber to Carlo’s mum. Hunt was up and off again four days before Bing died to twiddle his thumbs for a few days until he took up the position of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on 20 July 1995, exactly one week after Morrison was found dead. See post ‘Criminals Are Getting Away With It’. William Hague became Secretary of State for Wales on the day that Hunt scarpered from the Welsh Office.

Lord David Hunt is now the Big Boss at DAC Beachcroft, a firm of international lawyers who represent the GMC.

Ian Grist provided a truly impressive list of paedophiles’ friends who responded to Hunt’s consultation re the CHCs – 184 opposed the plans for a reduction in the number of CHCs, 14 approved. The list is too long to reproduce in full in this post, but here’s the link https://api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/written-answers/1990/jul/18/community-health-councils

Look out for old favourites such as St David’s Hospital, Soroptomists International, Age Concern, Crossroads, Gwynedd Drugs Council, Quakers, Health Visitors Association, MIND, WCVA, Mencap, Town and County Councils and a number of MPs who were/are paedophiles’ friends. The Windbag’s name is not there, but Islwyn Labour Party is, so he was present in cognito. ‘O.P. Galpin, Llandudno’ is listed.

Now for a bit more info on the charidee ‘Wellbeing of Women’, which was established by Sir George Pinker, the friend of Geoffrey Chamberlain’s who delivered Royal babies (see post ‘Wimmin’s Wellbeing – The Fortnum and Mason Connection’).

‘Wellbeing of Women’ was formerly known as ‘Birthright’ and it was in this incarnation when, in 1986, the Harris Birthright Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the Jessop Hospital for Women, Sheffield was established, ‘offering the biggest stimulus to research into reproductive medicine the UK had seen’. I do not know why paedophiles’ friend Oinker located his Birthright Centre at Sheffield, but the Centre was bank-rolled by Sir – now Lord – Philip Harris. From what I can work out, Harris provided the funding for the Centre in 1984, the year that I first complained about Gwynne the lobotomist.

Philip Harris went to Streatham Grammar School, which suggests that he lived just down the road from where St George’s Hospital Medical School is located, which employed Geoffrey Chamberlain et al who were concealing the wrongdoing of Gwynne, Dafydd and the paedophile gang.

Philip Harris was the Chairman of Carpetrite plc and has over fifty years experience in carpet retailing. Harris left Carpetrite in 2014, sold all of his shares and he is no longer associated with the company.

Harris was also a non-executive Director of Great Universal Stores plc for 18 years, retiring from the GUS Board in July 2004. Lord Harris became a non-executive Director of Matalan in October 2004. Harris was appointed to the board of Arsenal Football Club as a non-executive Director in Nov 2005.

Lord Harris is the co-owner of the Olympic gold medal-winning horse Hello Sanctos ridden by Scott Brash in the team show jumping event at the London 2012 Summer Olympics. Lord Harris and Lord Kirkham bought the horse for an estimated €2 million at the start of 2012. They are also co-owners of the horses Hello Sailor, Hello Unique and Hello Boyo.

Harris has been a donor to the Tory Party since the 1980s and was a big fan of Thatch. He also made donations to Cameron as leader of the Conservative Party. Harris is considered to be one of Cameron’s personal friends and he is  said to have played a role in convincing Cameron to contest the party’s leadership in the summer of 2005. Harris’s ties to Cameron came under scrutiny two years later when it appeared that Andrew Feldman, a political associate of Harris and a fellow donor to Cameron’s leadership campaign, used Harris’s name to claim privileges accorded to active members of the House of Lords.

Harris has contributed extensively to education and as a result, many schools and colleges (such as Harris Manchester College, Oxford), bear his name. Through the Harris Federation, many secondary schools in South London have received Harris donations. In the London Borough of Croydon, Harris helped to found the Harris City Technology College, Harris Academy South Norwood and Harris Academy Merton, Harris Academy Purley, Harris Academy Chafford Hundred, although many local residents are angered that the original name of the South Norwood site, Stanley Technical High School, was dropped in place of the Harris name.

Dafydd’s mate Prof Linford Rees lived at Purley and entertained his celebrity friends there (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’). Purley was also the home of Rashmi Varma, the fertility consultant at St George’s who found herself up in front of the GMC after NHS patients complained that she had forced them to donate eggs to private patients. Varma got off, although I was told by someone at St George’s that she was as guilty as they come. Geoffrey Chamberlain did not face a GMC hearing after he co-authored the paper describing research which had never taken place, although his co-author Malcolm Pearce was struck off. But then Chamberlain was mates with Oinker the Royal gynaecologist.

Chamberlain hated Rashmi Varma and everyone knew that he was waiting to stick the knife in. I wonder why his dastardly plan didn’t work.

In recent years, the forced change to academy status has placed additional schools under the management of the Harris Federation, despite considerable opposition from Boards of Governors and parents.

In 1960, Philip Harris married Pauline Chumley. The couple have a daughter Susan and three sons: Martin (director of Tapi Carpets), Peter and Charles. Pauline was appointed an DBE in 2004 and a Deputy Lieutenant in 2005. Lord Harris has an estimated wealth of £285m.

Harris was knighted in 1985. Just after he gave all that dosh to Oinker for the Birthright Centre. The year that Mary Wynch won her appeal to the Master of the Rolls and appeared in the London broadsheets. The year that I began approaching MPs regarding the problem that was the north Wales mental health services. I had written to the GMC about Gwynne the lobotomist in 1984 and they told me that they could not take any action against him.

Philip Harris was given a peerage in Jan 1996. By which time Ronnie Waterhouse knew that he would be Chairing a Public Inquiry into the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal, although William Hague didn’t announce this until Aug 1996. Hague became leader of the Tory Party on 19 June 1997 after receiving the backing of Thatcher. Hague was perceived as the heir to Thatch. By 1996, Gruff Rhys from Llanllechid in Gwynedd had emerged as an international rock star (see post ‘The International Language Of Screaming’). Gruff’s dad Ioan Bowen Rees was the Chief Exec of Gwynedd County Council when business boomed for the paedophile gang within the Council’s children’s homes (see post ‘I Know Nuzzing…’).

By 1986, when the Birthright Centre funded by Harris was established at Sheffield, Mary Wynch had won her appeal to the Master of the Rolls and was suing Dafydd et al. During 1986, Alison Taylor and I continued to raise our concerns regarding the activities of the paedophiles and their friends. On 22 July 1986, Iain Muir, Deputy Headmaster of the Bryn Alyn Community School, was convicted in the Crown Court at Mold of unlawful sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 16, for which he received a sentence of six months imprisonment. The victim was resident at the school for just over three years and was 15 years old when she left. During the middle months of 1986, DCS Gwynne Owen declared Alison Taylor’s complaints to be false or unsubstantiated. In Oct 1986 he sent a report to the CPS severely criticising Alison and in Dec 1986 Gwynedd County Council informally suspended Alison from her job as a social worker. In the late summer of 1986, I was unlawfully detained under the Mental Health Act in Ysbyty Gwynedd by Jackie Brandt and a Dr Perera, after being told by Alun Davies that if I didn’t drop my complaints about the mental health services I would be sectioned. Whilst I was there, Dafydd rolled up and told me to get out of north Wales and if I ever came back he’d have me arrested. In Dec 1986, I went back to north Wales and Dafydd had me unlawfully arrested and illegally detained in the North Wales Hospital.

The Harris Birthright Centre is now located at King’s College Hospital London, has been renamed the Harris Birthright Centre for Foetal Medicine and its Director is Dr Kypros Nicolaides, but I don’t know when it relocated to King’s. When I worked at St George’s I was told that a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King’s was considered a bit excessive by his colleagues because ‘he has sex with his children’. Just to clarify, the man named as doing this was not Kypros Nicolaides, it was another fertility expert who was involved in charidee work.

I mentioned in my post ‘The Village’ that Dr D.G.E. Wood became seriously worried when Brown started publishing in 1984. A lot of people became very anxious all over again when Brown made his first TV appearance in Sept 1987. Brown didn’t have his own TV series or anything, he appeared on ‘Right To Reply’ on Channel 4 with Gus Macdonald. I was supposed to be on there as well, we were invited to appear after we wrote to Gus regarding a particularly offensive appearance that Bernard Manning had made on the BBC. I couldn’t go on tele because Gus’s invitation coincided with my first day at work at the Cancer Research Campaign labs at Nottingham University and I thought that it would look dreadful if I didn’t actually make it into work on my first day. My mates told me that it would have been really cool to have rung up the CRC labs and said ‘I’m sorry, but I’ve got a TV appearance’, but I didn’t dare. If I’d known what a tosser and a fraud Prof Robert Baldwin was (see post ‘Oh Lordy, It’s CR UK’), I’d have prioritised Gus.

I didn’t realise this at the time because I thought that Gus was just the man on ‘Right To Reply’, but Gus Macdonald was actually a very big media figure. He was a former investigative reporter and by the time that he invited us onto his programme he was a powerful media executive. Gus was also big in the Labour Party and back in the 1960s he was involved with Tribune and Michael Foot, after flirting with the International Socialists. Some of the Tribune lot were working for MI5.

Gus Macdonald was one of the first people to be given a peerage by Blair after Labour won the General Election in 1997 and he was later appointed Minister for the Cabinet Office in Blair’s Gov’t – the year after Ronnie Waterhouse published his cover-up, when people started angrily mouthing off about the whitewash. Not that any of them got a Right To Reply. Dim problem Blair, there’s this blog now.

Wimmin’s Wellbeing – The Fortnum and Mason Connection

Just thought I’d write a quick post about one of Professor Geoffrey Chamberlain’s colleagues and friends.

Introducing Sir George Pinker, Royal gynaecologist and obstetrician. George Douglas Pinker was born in 1924 in Calcutta, the second son of Queenie and Ronald Pinker, a horticulturalist who worked for Sutton’s Seeds.

Pinker was educated at Reading School. He did his medical training at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Paddington, qualifying in 1947. Although a talented singer, Pinker turned down a contract with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company to pursue a career in medicine. The Queen Mum – Gawd Bless ‘Er –  attended at least one of his operatic performances at St Mary’s, in her capacity as Patron of both the hospital and the medical school, accompanied by the two young princesses, Lilibet and Ma’am Darling.

‘Have you come far?’

The Esoteric Curiosa: The "King" Of Mustique's Last Call ...

Pinker served his National Service in the RAMC in Singapore, where he did much of his specialist training under Benjamin Henry Sheares. Returning to civilian life at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford in 1958, Pinker was appointed a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology to St. Mary’s Hospital and Samaritan Hospital for Women, both of which he served for the next 31 years. He later also held the position of consulting gynaecological surgeon to the Middlesex Hospital; Soho Hospital for Women; Bolingbroke Hospital, Battersea; and the Radcliffe Infirmary from 1969-80.

Gwynne the lobotomist trained at the Middlesex Hospital and was of a similar vintage to Pinker. Geoffrey Chamberlain’s wife Jocelyn worked at the Middlesex for many years.

Pinker was involved with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for decades. He served as Honorary Treasurer, 1970-77; was elected Vice-President in 1980 and then served as President, 1987-90. Sir Stanley Simmons succeeded Pinker as President, then in 1993 dear old Chamberlain succeeded Simmons. Chamberlain had to resign in 1994 after being caught in that research fraud with Malcolm Pearce (see post ‘I Don’t Believe It!’). I have previously speculated that it was Chamberlain’s influential friends who ensured that Pearce took the rap for everything – Malcolm was struck off, but Chamberlain didn’t even find himself in front of the GMC. It won’t have been Chamberlain’s mate Cilla who pulled those particular strings, it will have been somebody with connections to far grander people than she who loved Liverpool so much that she lived in a mansion in Buckinghamshire.

Pinker was a past President of the British Fertility Society and his wiki entry states that he ‘supported the research that led to the birth in 1978 of Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby’.

I’m wondering how true this is – Patrick Steptoe and Robert Edwards were outcasts until virtually the day that Louise Brown was born, it’s why the research wasn’t done in the grand institutions in London. Patrick Steptoe was very bitter about this and had a public spat with Robert Winston, because Winston opposed Steptoe and Edwards’s work but once Louise was born, Robert Winston jumped on the bandwagon and became the guru of IVF himself.

Now how did Robert Winston manage to colonise the field so successfully when he had opposed the research and had not built up experience in the field? Could it have had anything to do with Winston working at Hammersmith Hospital/Royal Postgraduate Medical School, part of the University of London, over which Lord Brian Flowers – a man originally from Swansea – wielded so much influence (see post ‘The White Heat Of This Revolution’)? Flowers ruled supreme as VC of the entire University of London, 1985-90, but his particular domain was the Royal Postgraduate Medical School and Imperial College. The subsequent mergers of various institutions in London resulted in many of the ‘leading’ medical researchers being brought under the umbrella of the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, including the bunch at Hammersmith Hospital/RPMS. After Oinker’s mate Chamberlain had retired from the NHS, Chamberlain took up a lecturing job at Swansea University.

Here’s Lord Flowers of serious organised crime, with an admirer:

  • Reporter-Sharing stories of Imperial's community. Imperial ...

My first thought when I read that Pinker had been behind Steptoe and Edwards all the way was that history was being rewritten. However, Bob Edwards did his PhD in the Zoology Dept at dear old UCNW (Bangor University). It took Bangor decades before they dared admit that Bob Edwards had been a student of theirs – we used to roll around laughing as year after year, the Bangor prospectus boasted about their famous old boy Roger Whittacker. ‘I Don’t Want To Leave Old Durham Town’. Well Eric Sunderland did precisely that when he was called back to Paedophilia Central in 1984, when Dafydd et al were in need of reinforcements and Eric was installed as Principal/VC at UCNW (see post ‘Feet In Chains’). If I’d have known that Eric was a paedophiles’ friend every bit as bad as the rest of them I’d have gatecrashed his funeral and whistled ‘The Last Farewell’ a la Roger as his body was consigned to the dust.

I wonder if the paedophiles’ friends quietly capitalised on Bob Edwards’s fame after Louise’s birth, even if they wouldn’t publicly acknowledge him?  Carlo was Chancellor of UCNW and William and Harry were both delivered by George Pinker. I wouldn’t put it past any of these multi-faceted tossers to have maxed out on Steptoe and Edwards behind the scenes, whether Pinker really did support Steptoe and Edwards’s early work or not.

No it wasn’t, that’s why people in north Wales were found dead, lest the identities of certain well-connected dirty old men were ever revealed.

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones

Pinker was the Queen’s surgeon-gynaecologist, 1973-90 and attended nine royal births.

I distinctly remember that when Diana’s pregnancy with William was announced, comments from the Palace at the time implied that William would be born at the Palace – as previous heirs to the throne always had been. There was discussion among old lefties that the Palace had better facilities than some NHS hospitals. However, before long it was announced that William would be born at the Lindo Wing, St Mary’s. Pinker’s wiki entry gives us some indication of why there was a rapid change of plan.

Pinker was head consultant in the Lindo wing.

Furthermore, we are told that ‘Pinker’s involvement had begun after a melodramatic gesture by the Princess, who was three months pregnant but whose relationship with her husband was already unravelling. She threw herself down a staircase at Sandringham in January 1982; while a local doctor was summoned, Pinker left London to attend to his Royal patient and found that although she had suffered severe bruising, the foetus was uninjured.’

Diana herself later described this ‘melodramatic gesture’ as a suicide attempt. It may only have been a half-hearted one, but it has now been admitted that by the time that she chucked herself down the Royal staircase, Diana was incredibly distressed. At the time, a statement was given to the media claiming that Diana had ‘fallen down the stairs’, but ‘the baby was unharmed’. I had a friend who was very angry that there had been no public statement regarding the health of the person who was gestating the unharmed foetus. Now we know why – she was distraught.

Pinker’s wiki entry tells us that Pinker ‘had been under pressure’ from Diana to induce William, but Pinker insisted that birth was a natural process. One wonders if Pinker should have listened to his patient because wiki tells us that ‘it was a difficult labour…it lasted 16 hours and at one stage Pinker and his medical team considered performing an emergency Caesarean section, but in the event the Princess gave birth naturally to a boy weighing 7 lb 10 oz’.

What I remember about the Royal birth was that afterwards Carlo appeared in front of the TV cameras looking quite freaked out and asked for the cheering mob outside of the hospital to please belt up because Diana needed to crash out. I wondered at the time if that had been a birth which had nearly gone badly wrong and my suspicions were confirmed when Diana took a rather long time to emerge for the obligatory photo-shoot with the baby on the hospital steps. Someone had obviously spent a great deal of time on Diana’s hair, clothes, make-up etc, but nonetheless, she looked rough. She had huge black rings around her eyes. In fact Diana looked a lot more the worse for wear than any new mother I ever saw whilst I worked on the delivery suite at St George’s.

Carlo then made some very Charlesish comments and ‘praised the drug companies’ which manufactured the pain-killers used in labour on the grounds that women might not want their husbands with them whilst they delivered if they did not have access to pain relief.

Er – did Diana sock Carlo one perhaps, among much cursing re his hobnobbing with Camilla? It was not the fairy-tale marriage that we were told that it was, but luckily George Oinker was on hand to tell the silly girl what was what. And to nearly fuck-up the Royal birth.

Then there were the media reports alleging that after William’s birth, Diana was rowing with Carlo and stating that there was no way that she was going through that again, when Carlo mentioned the necessity of a spare to go with the heir.

Did anyone call in a different Top Doctor, one who perhaps could reassure Diana that the next time the delivery would be handled differently? No of course they didn’t. When Diana became pregnant with Harry, Oinker was called straight back in and it was off to Lindo Wing again.

I wondered what sort of history as a Top Doc Oinker had when some time after the Royal birth, it was reported that a madwoman had threatened to kill Oinker. Poor old Oinker was so frightened and the threats from the Bertha Mason character were taken so seriously that Oinker was given police protection. It was reported that Oinker had performed a hysterectomy on Bertha, that Bertha ‘blamed him for the loss of her organs’ and – being insane – had threatened to kill him. I think that Bertha had ‘spent time in a mental hospital’. Bertha was subsequently banged up for life.

It sounds to me as though Bertha was very angry with Oinker. As for ‘blaming him for the loss of her organs’ – well he was to blame, Oinker performed the hysterectomy, it wasn’t the gardener who did it. I know of a former North Wales Hospital Denbigh patient who was sterilised without her informed consent because ‘if we don’t, she’ll get pregnant’. She certainly would have, the staff were shagging her. I knew that patient myself, but I bet that there were many more like her. The patient in question had been ‘under’ – probably literally – this Top Doctor when she was sterilised without her consent:

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones

Oinker’s mate Geoffrey Chamberlain was concealing the paedophile ring which the above was facilitating.

Now would someone care to find out why the Madwoman in the Attic was so bloody angry with Oinker, what the circumstances were when he operated upon her and how serious the threats towards him really were? Because some of Oinker’s friends were concealing the organised sexual abuse of children, mental health patients and people with learning disabilities.

Oinker had many very rich patients in his Harley Street practice, including scores from the middle east. When I worked at St George Hospital Medical School’s, one of the Top Doctors told me that his mate in Harley Street was performing FGM, although it had been outlawed for years by then.

Anyone for prosecuting some Somali women from Cardiff?

Pinker married former Angel Dorothy Russell in London in 1951. The couple had four children: Catherine and Ian (twins), Robert and William. The junior Oinkers will no doubt be occupying influential positions somewhere, defending Oinker’s reputation.

There is a Prof Robert Pinker who is a social policy specialist. He has held Chairs at Goldsmiths College; Chelsea College and the LSE. Prof Pinker was formerly the acting Chair of the Press Complaints Commission. He is too young to be Oinker’s son, but I’m wondering if he might be Oinker’s brother…

Oinker was Assistant Concert Director of Reading Symphony Orchestra and then in 1988 Vice-President of the London Choral Society. Oinker died in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 2007.

In 1964 Oinker and ‘several distinguished colleagues’ founded the Childbirth Research Centre. Changing its name to Birthright in 1972, it is now known as Wellbeing of Women. Somehow Oinker persuaded Diana to become a Patron in 1984.

The aim of the charity was to reduce the number of women and babies who died during pregnancy and childbirth. So Wellbeing of Women is not doing too well is it. An early donation funded research which ‘established that a deficiency in folic acid was a factor in malformed babies’. Pregnant women across the world now take folic acid supplements. I described in my post ‘Feet In Chains’ how in the 1990s, the GPs in Bethesda religiously prescribed folic acid for all women who were trying to become pregnant, whilst ignoring reports of child abuse as well as the destitution and abuse of mental health patients.

The charity also ‘funded crucial research into epidurals which means that millions of women now benefit from a relatively pain-free birth’. Or at least they do if there is an anaesthetist available, which is not always the case in UK maternity units.

One early piece of research funded by Oinker’s charity into the diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome ‘helped make the amniocentesis test more accurate’. That test carries with it a risk of miscarriage. Women were also refused the test if they refused to abort their baby if it did have Down’s.

Oinker’s charity also ‘discovered a link between smoking and pre-eclampsia and babies being born underweight’. Which is worth knowing, but there was that patient at St George’s who’s pre-eclampsia wasn’t managed properly, so it developed into eclampsia. She died in the hospital after a junior doctor screwed up, so Oinker’s mate Geoffrey Chamberlain held an investigation and blamed a midwife.

We are told that Diana ‘was devoted to the charity, explaining: ‘To long for a baby and not to be able to have one must be devastating. I don’t know how I would cope with that. And if my work for Birthright can alleviate that suffering for just one couple, it will have been all worthwhile.’

There are people who now have happy families as a result of advances in fertility treatment which is great. There are also many couples who have spent many thousands of pounds on fertility treatment which Top Docs knew was unlikely to be successful and who have never come to terms with not having children, because no-one helped them with that bit. There are however a number of Top Docs who have become very, very rich on the profits from their fertility clinics. See my post ‘Every Sperm Is Sacred – Particularly In Scotland’.

In the 1980s, whilst Diana was Patron of what was then Birthright, Professor Stuart Campbell of King’s College, London, received funding from Oinker’s charity for a project that developed an ultrasound that would identify babies at risk of stillbirth by finding out if they had abnormal blood flow. Stuart Campbell was drafted in as Prof and Head of the Academic Dept of Obs and Gynae at St George’s after that embarrassing research fraud committed by Chamberlain and Pearce. Another scandal subsequently blew up involving Stuart Campbell and the Dept was closed down. The sex trafficking ring that the whole lot of them were facilitating wasn’t closed down.

During the 1990s, Oinker’s mates ‘funded research into contraception’. Dr Cathy Wilson’s mass slaughter of rats and careful examination of their brains at St George’s was allegedly directed towards researching improved contraceptive methods. Had Cathy not been an idiot, it might have all been worth it, but no, I don’t think that Cathy was going to make any medical advances.

Oinker’s charity was renamed Wellbeing of Women in 2004. Wellbeing of Women partnered with 100 Women in Hedge Funds to fund a project which ‘advanced our understanding of the genetics of cerebral palsy’. Cerebral palsy is often a result of births which have been mismanaged. Some of the negligence settlements in such cases run into millions. I wonder if Oinker et al thought that it might be worth flagging up the alleged genetic contribution to such conditions in order to ease the strain on the Top Doctors in court?

There were two babies born at St David’s Hospital in Bangor in the early 1980s with severe cerebral palsy. Both deliveries were done by the same Top Doc, St David’s denied all responsibility and neither family received a penny in compensation. The Top Doc then screwed up a delivery so badly that the baby died. The Top Doc left to begin a new career in Australia, which I am told was very successful. The baby in north Wales remained dead.

The charity also ‘funded research that helped reverse brain damage in newborn babies’. Bloody hell – Oinker’s lot found a way of ‘reversing brain damage’??? Well why haven’t they been awarded a Nobel prize? Why hasn’t anybody heard of these people? Are they just so modest that they have shunned the publicity?

Oinker et al funded a project ‘that helped women suffering from recurrent miscarriage go on to have a successful pregnancy, by identifying ‘Natural Killer cells’ in the mother’s immune system.

Risley Remand Centre had lots of Natural Killer Cells, the victims of Dafydd et al were found dead in them constantly (see post ‘ Include Me Out’).

In 2007, Gordon Brown’s wife Sarah became Patron of Wellbeing of Women. In 2007 Gordon Brown appointed Baroness Patricia Scotland QC as Attorney General. Scotland acted as Counsel for the Welsh Office at the Waterhouse Inquiry and cross-examined the victims of Dafydd and the paedophiles so aggressively that some of them collapsed. ‘Nuff said.

In 2008, Wellbeing of Women was announced as one of the beneficiary charities of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, along with ORBIS. Prince William was Patron of the appeal. Funds raised from the appeal ‘enabled Wellbeing of Women to establish the Baby Bio Bank, a unique international resource storing genetic data from ‘family trios’ of mother, father and baby. This bank of genetic information will facilitate on-going research into the persistent complications of pregnancy and birth, including miscarriage, premature birth and pre-eclampsia’.

That was 10 years ago. We’re still waiting…

In March 2013, Wellbeing of Women launched a major new partnership with PwC. PwC are long term sponsors of two of Wellbeing of Women’s flagship events – the Annual Women’s Lunch Debate and Annual Celebrity Cricket Match. In 2013 PwC broadened and increased their support of Wellbeing of Women, by supporting two Wellbeing of Women funded researchers.

Wellbeing of Women has an ongoing partnership with BHS. Karen Brady designed a collection of workwear dresses to be sold at BHS in aid of the charity in 2012  and in 2013, Emma Forbes launched another collection of dresses to be sold in aid of the charity.

Frocks – it’s what the little ladies are really interested in. And of course ‘role models’ like Baroness Karen Brady, who began her career flogging advertising space for a porn baron and who was investigated by the Met for white-collar crime (see post ‘The Bloody State We’re In’).

In December 2011, in the run-up to the 2012 Summer Olympics, Clara Maidment shot a charity calendar in aid of Wellbeing of Women. Twelve British female sporting celebrities posed in the lingerie of Nichole de Carle, wearing jewellery by Samila Hughes and Coster Diamonds. I have no idea who any of these people are and I don’t know whether Coster Diamonds is the name of a human being or a brand of gem stone. Neither can I be bothered to look it up.

Wellbeing of Women runs a series of Literary Lunches at Fortnum & Mason, which features a prominent author in conversation with Eve Pollard or Baroness Jenkin of Kennington. Previous authors have included PD James, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Penny Vincenzi, Julian Fellowes and Ffion Hague.

Ffion worked as a civil servant in the Welsh Office while that dept concealed the crimes of Dafydd and the paedophiles and her husband William organised the cover-up which was the Waterhouse Inquiry when he was Secretary of State for Wales.

Wellbeing of Very Posh Women also run a series called ‘An Audience with…’ at Fortnum and Mason.

Wellbeing of Very Posh Women is the beneficiary charity of the Inspirational Women of the Year Awards, which are run in association with the ‘Daily Mail’ and in 2012 were sponsored by Sanctuary Spa. I do hope that the Inspirational Women remember to read the ‘Daily Mail’ regularly, with its constant offering of scare stories about cancer, misunderstood reporting of research, invention of new parts of the body, such as ‘side boobs’ and advice on how to avoid cellulite and other medical conditions invented by women’s magazines. Then for a bonus the Inspirational Women can log onto Mail Online and take a look at the Side Bar of Shame with its photos of the 15 yr old children of celebs in swimwear who are now all grown up and showing off their curves.

On 12 October 2011, the Right Rev Vincent Nichols gave the first annual Sir George Pinker Memorial Address for Wellbeing of Women. Vincent Nichols was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Birmingham, 2000-09 and is currently Archbishop of Westminster.

While he was Archbishop of Birmingham, Nichols had to respond to the sexual abuse cases that were alleged in that diocese. Among Nichols’s first public acts in his role as Archbishop of Westminster was a statement on the issue of clerical physical and sexual abuse in Ireland. In his own words: ‘Every time there is a single incident of abuse in the Catholic Church it is a scandal. And I’m glad it’s a scandal’. He was, however criticised widely on the issue of priests facing up to their crimes, where he claimed, ‘That takes courage and also we shouldn’t forget that this account today will also overshadow all of the good that they also did’.

And Dafydd’s helped a lot of people. And I misunderstood him. And when they say no they mean yes.

‘There is no evidence of a paedophile ring in north Wales which was concealed at a high level.’

Anthem For Doomed Youth

The first line of Wilfred Owen’s famous poem was of course:

‘What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?’

Shirley Williams was one of those who knew that in north Wales, young people were dying as cattle at the hands of a sex trafficking ring – at least she did by the time that she was Secretary of State for Education and Science under PM Jim Callaghan, 1976-79 – but like so many others, she ignored it. Shirl later got into bed with (so to speak) Dr Death, who was an accomplice of some of the Top Docs who were facilitating the crime in north Wales (see post ‘Dr Death’). Dr Death was Chancellor of Liverpool University, 1996-09, Dafydd’s old alma mater, whilst that institution still employed a great many people who were colluding with Dafydd and the paedophiles. Shirl’s subsequent political bedfellow was David Steel, someone who was told what Cyril Smith was doing to boys in Rochdale, but who dismissed it as a matter of Cyril having merely ‘spanked a few bottoms’. I have recently discovered that one reason why the lid was kept on Cyril’s crimes when it was very nearly blown off in a very big way was that George Carman QC ensured that Smith’s activities were published nowhere else but in an alternative paper in Rochdale, because the trial of Jeremy Thorpe was approaching and the wagon would have come off the rails completely if Smith’s sex offending had become known to the wider public. One of George Carman’s pupils was a Tony Blair and a young barrister called Cherie Booth also worked in Carman’s chambers.

Jeremy Thorpe was the leader of the Liberal Party. After Jo Grimond was for a brief time caretaker leader when Thorpe stood down after even the Liberals realised that he had become too much, David Steel succeeded Thorpe as leader in 1976-88. It was Steel who memorably told the foot soldiers of the Liberal Party to ‘go home to your constituencies and prepare for government’ in 1981. A phrase which became the subject of as much piss-taking as Dr Death’s aspirations to ‘break the mould of politics’. Dr Death had been a member of Callaghan’s Cabinet along with Shirl.

Shirl has spent her entire life dining out on her mother being Vera Brittain, who wrote about her friends being wiped out whilst still young in WWI…

When Shirl refused Dafydd Wigley’s 1979 request to hold an inquiry into the mismanagement of UCNW (Bangor University) under paedophiles’ friend Sir Charles Evans whilst she was Education Secretary, UCNW was facilitating the crimes of Dafydd et al. The most unfortunate of Dafydd’s victims were at that time dying as cattle in the slaughter house which was Risley Remand Centre. The cattle continued dying in spite of questions in the House regarding the number of deaths at Risley (see post ‘Include Me Out’).

Politicians of all hues knew what was going on in north Wales and at Risley and concealed it. I have blogged extensively about how it was common knowledge in Parliament that Thatch’s friend and Minister Sir Peter Morrison was one of those abusing kids in care in north Wales and that Thatcher herself was told this. It would seem that not only did Thatcher’s Gov’t  conceal and collude with the crimes of Dafydd et al, but that the Tories assisted in the growth of the sex trafficking gang.

Yesterday I received a number of e mails in response to my recent posts. I have been told that ‘probably around 1984’, Lucille Hughes was given paid leave by Gwynedd County Council to tour around Europe with Lady Olga Maitland no less and was away ‘for at least a month’. No explanation was given and the few people who dared to ask questions were told to keep their noses out. In 1983, Lady Olga Maitland established ‘Women and Families For Defence’, a campaigning group set up by the Tories because of their concerns in the face of the support which the Greenham Common protesters were receiving. It was a party political project, yet Olga Maitland was assisted by Ann Widdecombe, another high Tory but who had not yet been elected to the Commons, who was given secret funding and support from her employers, the University of London. Widdecombe was pals with the Anglesey Conservative Association, although she had turned down their offer to be their Tory candidate in favour of what she thought was a better deal from another constituency (see post ‘Doris Karloff – Honest About Her Expenses But Not Much Else’). Widdecombe was a high profile anti-abortion campaigner and it seemed to be this that was the reason for the love-in between her and the Anglesey Tories.

At the time that Lucille undertook her Grand European Tour with Olga, Gwynedd County Council was led by Plaid and the Chief Exec was Ioan Bowen Rees, an adviser to Dafydd Wigley, the Plaid MP for Caernarfon. Under Bowen Rees, Gwynedd County Council acquired the reputation of having built ‘fortress Gwynedd’, with the Council prioritising issues of language and nationality, accompanied by a degree of overtly anti-English rhetoric.

A recent e mail told me that local people were so reluctant to allow their children to be taken ‘into care’ by Gwynedd that an underground fostering system had grown up among extended families. This was something that I noticed when I was a student. I presumed that it was a consequence of particularly helpful relatives, although I was told about the appalling social workers who did not give a damn about those in their care and I heard a lot about ‘cruelty’ to kids in care.

By the time that Lucille was touring Europe with Lady Olga Maitland, there had been many formal complaints about the abuse of children in care in north Wales and Mary Wynch had begun legal action against Dafydd et al. It was in 1985 that Mary’s case came before Lord Donaldson, the Master of the Rolls. The Welsh Office had colluded with the abuse of children in north Wales and knew that Gwynedd Health Authority was in such serious debt and chaos – by 1989 the Welsh Office had sent a hit squad of management consultants in (see post ‘A Visit To Gwynedd Archives’). In 1984, Brown and I complained about Gwynne the lobotomist to the University authorities and had received threats from Dr D.G.E. Wood, but I had not yet contacted MPs – but I did write to the GMC. It was in the first part of 1984 that the well-camouflaged paedophiles’ friend Eric Sunderland took over from Top Doc and long-standing paedophiles’ friend Sir Charles Evans as Principal of UCNW (see posts ‘Feet In Chains’ and ‘Criminals Are Getting Away With It’).

The Secretary of State for Wales was Nicholas Edwards and his gofer was Wyn – later Lord Wyn – Roberts (see post ‘The Cradle Of Filth’). It was in the summer of 1984 that the Octagon nightclub opened in Bangor, which immediately became a venue for the trafficking of the kids in care and the flogging of class A drugs on a scale previously unseen in the region (see post ‘Are You Local?’).

John Allen owned a villa in the south of France to which boys in care from north Wales were taken ‘for holidays’. Kids in care in north Wales were also taken to Amsterdam where they were sold for sex. Dafydd was holding ‘clinics’ in the south of France.

Ron Davies was elected as the Labour MP for Caerphilly in 1983. Ron had previously been an adviser to Mid-Glamorgan Education Authority, the organisation that concealed the sex offences of John Owen against his pupils (see post ‘Yet More Inglorious Bastards’).

Olga Maitland was subsequently elected as a Tory MP for Sutton and Cheam, but that wasn’t until 1992. When she was enjoying herself in Europe with Dafydd’s mistress, Olga was a journo for the ‘Sunday Express’, edited by the odious John Junor, who was a mate of George Carman QC, who knew what was happening in north Wales. Olga Maitland was married to barrister Robin Hay, who became a Crown Court Recorder.

No wonder no-one helped those of us in north Wales who were being threatened, harassed, fitted up for crimes – or who saw our friends murdered. Dafydd and Lucille were overtly assisted with developing their international people trafficking ring as long ago as the mid-80s by Thatcher’s Gov’t.

Anyone fancy telling us that ‘you didn’t know’ now? By 1984 I had told people – including Dr D.G.E. Wood – repeatedly that someone had threatened to murder Brown. I was ignored. That person subsequently tried to fracture Brown’s skull in the middle of Nottingham in broad daylight.

Anyone for law n order or getting tough on criminals? People died you fucking idiots, they died.

It was in 1983-84 that Brown and I started finding ourselves surrounded by some rather odd people who caused us a lot of bother. There were the two people whom Brown met when he replied to adverts in the ‘New Statesman’ offering work, just at the time when Wood et al knew that Brown was living with me on Anglesey and was scanning the adverts in the ‘New Statesman’ for part-time work opportunities. My post ‘Oh Lordy, It’s CR UK’ discussed the insane and offensive Leslie Gore, a therapist living near Llangollen who worked as a part-time alcohol counsellor at the North Wales Hospital no less. Hot on the heels of Leslie Gore came Naomi Grunfeld, a teacher in the Orthodox Jewish school in north London, who had placed an advert in the ‘New Statesman’ claiming to be a post-graduate student with ‘writer’s block’ in need of extra tuition. It became clear that not only was Naomi nuts, but that she wanted Brown to actually do her MA for her. Brown noticed that Naomi seemed to have acquired her first degree as a result of someone else doing the work. Naomi was a student at Strawberry Hill College, Twickenham and the college seemed to know exactly what was going on.

Brown observed that Naomi’s advert should really have been in the lonely hearts column. The others in our house were greatly entertained by Naomi’s hot pursuit of Brown, particularly when four letters arrived in one day for him and when she started ringing the telephone box down the road asking the local teenagers who answered to go and find him. Brown escaped from Naomi by telling her that he was going abroad and was due to leave for Bristol airport. Naomi demanded a Bristol address, so Brown said ’10, Clifton Road’. Clifton was the area of Bristol where the Top Doctors hung out, so presumably one of Wood’s criminal colleagues received a few dozen crazy letters from Naomi. We didn’t realise that they were a load of sex traffickers at that time, so let’s hope Naomi gave them hell.

Then a few years later there was Diane Foxhills, who surpassed even Naomi, let herself into Brown’s house and was waiting in his bed for him.

MI5: all Brown wanted to do was to get on with his writing and avoid people who were trying to murder him. When he got so fed up of Diane that he actually told her to fuck off and get out of his face, he meant it. So that must have been why, a few years later, when he thought that the coast was clear, you sent Shar along. Who it transpired was not only mad but a member of the BNP, with a long-lost adult son who was in Combat 18. Then a few years after that, there was Emma, who precipitated what was probably a heart-attack in Brown. Not that it was ever diagnosed, because as you knew damn well, by then it was no longer safe for Brown or me to go near a Top Doctor, but Brown knows the symptoms of a heart-attack as well as the average stupid, negligent Top Doctor does. Then there was the vicious Denise Baker McLearns who moved in next to me at Llanllechid and spent the next few years harassing me and spreading vicious rumours about me. Then there was Donna Morgan, who moved into my place as a lodger, knew social workers from Conwy County Council, bounced a £500 rent cheque on me, stole everything of any value from my house, made an allegiance with Denise Baker McLearns and left me a letter telling me not to go to the police because she would tell them that I was a danger to children and Denise would ‘vouch for her’. I went to the police, who refused to tell me where Donna Morgan was living, on the grounds that she was under police protection after her ex-boyfriend had threatened her. That was the ex-boyfriend whom she had also threatened to set on me, a gangster from Llandudno, the mention of who’s name was supposed to have me shaking in my boots, but it didn’t because I didn’t know any gangsters from Llandudno. Although I do now, obviously. The gangsters in question were a family called Hogan.

As a treat, Donna Morgan made allegations about one of my neighbours, who had given her lifts and brought her son clothes and toys whilst Donna pleaded poverty. Years later I was told that she had made a false rape allegation against an innocent man who was only cleared after he’d been arrested and held in custody. But then Donna Morgan was shagging a number of officers in the North Wales Police, whom it would seem were, in return, happy to arrest targets of the paedophile gang at whom she pointed the finger.

Wouldn’t it have just been easier to have arrested Dafydd and Lucille and stopped the international people trafficking gang? The security services seem to have spent much time and money behaving like fuckwits and trying to get rid of Brown and me, but Dafydd and Lucille are still sitting in north Wales running CAIS. They’re probably surrounded by undercover officers ‘gathering intelligence’, but the one thing that no-one will do is put Dafydd and Lucille out of action…

We were initially targeted in 1983. Whatever MI5 were doing, they were definitely not stopping that trafficking gang.

Another reader of this blog has told me that David Bailey Hughes was the officer in charge at Y Gwyngyll, the children’s home in Llanfairpwll, when it was in meltdown and that the kids ‘were running wild, never going to school and being treated for genital lice’. It was the chaos at Y Gwyngyll which forced Bowen Rees to hold an ‘investigation’ – Bowen Rees called in his old mates from Dyfed County Council, where he had previously been County Secretary, to conduct the investigation… For info on the happenings at Y Gwyngyll and some of the people involved, see post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’.

Despite allegations of sexual abuse against Bailey Hughes – some of which stemmed from his time as a care officer at Ty’r Felin – he was subsequently given responsibility for Gwynedd County Council’s new fostering and adoption service, which was set up after Alison Taylor’s dismissal at Cartref Bontnewydd. The dreadful Malcolm John, ‘senior tutor in social work’ at Bangor University, moonlighted for years as a ‘consultant’ for this ‘service’, without the knowledge of Bangor University, who did suspect that he had another job somewhere because he was so infrequently in the university (see post ‘Local Accessories’). There were many people at Bangor who were at their wits end with regard to Malcolm John, but they were being undermined by the toxic Lyn Meadows, the HR Director and paedophiles’ friend who now sits on the Betsi Board. I was told that one Professor who had tried to protect other staff from Malcolm John’s dreadful conduct was threatened with disciplinary action for ‘bullying’ from Meadows.

My correspondent informed me that the paedophiles’ friends setting up shop at Cartref Bontnewydd forced the closure of at least one fostering and adoption service in the area that had been running for decades.

I have been told that at least one girl of 14 in the care of Gwynedd County Council was given oral contraception without her step-mother’s knowledge, although this teenager did not have a boyfriend and had not shown much interest in acquiring one. My correspondent suggests that girls ‘were being prepared for action on the sly’. This was rather the impression that I formed as a result of my encounters with the Top Doctors. OK I wasn’t 14, but all any of them wanted to do was talk to me about sex and my ‘boyfriend’. I too was spontaneously offered advice on contraception. QUE??? I was a grown-up who was quite capable of deciding such matters for myself and at no time did I ever enter those consulting rooms seeking advice on sexual problems. Other mental health patients I spoke to had similar experiences. It was suggested to me the other day that perhaps the Top Docs had gained the wrong impression because I used to sport black nail varnish, coloured hair etc. For God’s sake, I was in my 20s and furthermore if I’d gone in there wearing a burkha I’d have been met with the same response. They were trafficking young people into prostitution – Dafydd et al even targeted boys of 11, did they ‘ask for it’?

My post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’ mentioned that supply of nice young doctors who arrived in north Wales in the 1980s when Gwynne and Dafydd were becoming excruciatingly embarrassing. Those of us who had complained were then referred to the nice young doctors – who sadly were assisting the old gropers, but had better manners and concealed their activities more effectively. One such nice young doctor was Tony Francis, another was Dr Lyndon Miles.

Since mentioning Lyndon in my post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’, I have received an e mail from someone who raised concerns about Dafydd and the paedophiles who’s health was subsequently ruined by one Lyndon Miles, who had seemed such a nice man. I had similar experiences. After confronting Gwynne and Dafydd, I encountered years of Top Doctors – not just in north Wales – whom I did not complain about and who were charm itself to me. When I finally accessed my medical notes, I read what they had written to third parties about me without my knowledge and it was pure poison. Other patients who dared complain had the same experience. One man in north Wales who had as much crap as I did from the Top Doctors described them as a ‘cartel’. Which pretty much sums it up. This was an extensive network of corrupt professional people involved in serious organised crime who were assisted by corrupt police officers and members of the security services.

Here’s someone else who, at the beginning of his career, exploited his status as a Nice Young Doctor:

The Lord Owen
Official portrait of Lord Owen crop 2.jpg

Dr D.G.E. Wood really loved Dr Death. Wood said to me ‘Owen’s got guts’. I responded by telling Wood that nevertheless he didn’t have any seats.

Dr Death, a friend of people traffickers!

Here’s a reminder of days of yore:

  • Is 2017 the year for a new political party to be born ...
  • How Lib Dems got where they are today | Politics | The ...
  • How the SDP failed the Jews - The Jewish Chronicle
  • “Decisively Throw Out the Wang-Zhang-Jiang-Yao Anti-Party Clique!”

In my post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’ I mentioned that Lyndon worked in the Student Health Centre at Bangor and knew exactly what Wood, Gwynne etc were doing, but colluded with them. There was another Nice Young Doctor who rolled up at the Student Health Centre in about 1984 as well, whom distressed students were urged to meet as an alternative to Gwynne the lobotomist – Dr Chris Tilsen. Dr Tilsen, like Dr Miles, didn’t cause the sort of disasters that Gwynne did, but Dr Tilsen knew what was happening…

I did know of one student house who’s inhabitants had a bad experience with Dr Tilsen. One of the boys in the house caught measles and his girlfriend rang the GP – Dr Tilsen. Tilsen initially refused to go out to see him, but because his girlfriend grovelled, a rather bad-tempered Tilsen subsequently arrived, took a look at the ailing student and said ‘he’s got measles, what’s the problem?’ When our friends told us about this, I mentioned that measles can cause deafness and Brown observed that it can occasionally result in death. Our friend didn’t die of measles, but this was the sort of response that local people received from the Top Doctors. They really were very often not that helpful. Furthermore they all knew that people were living in severe poverty, that the ‘services’ were rife with corruption and that the infrastructure of the whole region was being utilised by a sex trafficking gang.

I was told some years ago that Dr Tilsen’s wife Amanda was an Angel who worked at the School of Healthcare Sciences at Bangor University and was very unpopular among her Angel colleagues. That doesn’t say anything about Amanda Tilsen, because nearly everyone in that School was previously employed by the corrupt regional NHS and they spent their whole lives in a state of civil war with each other.

‘We didn’t know.’

Yes you did.

There seemed to be a push in the mid-80s to conceal the damage being done by Dafydd and co. As well as all those Nice Young Doctors, the Student Health Centre employed Liz Stables as an Angel (see post ‘Just A Language Divide?’), who made friends with all those students who had complained, pumped them for info and reported back to the Top Docs, who then shafted us all. Liz was a friend of Dafydd. Liz replaced a crotchety old bat who was worthy of a prize in ‘Viz’ magazine’s ‘insincere smiles’ feature, who had been employed as the Angel up there for eons, but I can’t remember her name. She was so unpleasant that I refused to have anything to do with her, so Liz was sent in my direction.

I mentioned in a previous post that witnesses who gave evidence at the Waterhouse Inquiry, as well as those people who worked for the Inquiry, were granted immunity from prosecution, which I suspect is why those who ran the paedophile gang such as Lucille agreed to give evidence. None of the witnesses can now be prosecuted for abusing those kids. I have been told that the Attorney General – Sir Nicholas Lyell – did grant the immunity but excluded perjury and perverting the course of justice. Therefore, if Waterhouse and co had not constrained themselves, any number of people could have been referred for prosecution. One such person I am told would have been social worker Mari Roberts, who lied in her evidence to the Inquiry (see post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’).

The temporary immunity should not have stopped the North Wales Police investigating the evidence that emerged of abuse, of widespread conspiracy, of perverting the course of justice and of misconduct in public office. Documents in my possession also contain ample evidence of these matters.

I have received more info regarding Ceryl Wyn Davies, the serial child sex offender defended by Ronnie Waterhouse’s mate Emlyn Hooson QC – another one of David Steel’s colleagues – who was given a job as Headmaster of Tanygrisiau School at Blaenau Ffestiniog by Gwynedd County Council, despite his previous imprisonment for molesting children (see post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’). I have been told that there were many complaints about Ceryl Wyn which were ignored and it is alleged that he had a family member on the Council who afforded him protection. My correspondent has promised me more information, so once I receive that I’ll blog further.

In my post ‘Today We Have Naming Of Parts’ I mentioned that it was Cartrefle College in Wrexham – which later became NEWI and then Glyndwr University – who assessed the members of the paedophile gang as being suitable to qualify as social workers. I received information from someone who told me that standards at Cartrefle were appalling and that in the early 1980s at least, Cartrefle had a hotline to Lucille Hughes and Nefyn Dodd and were passing on inappropriate info about students to them, with a view to identifying potential whistleblowers. Cartfrefle qualifications were verified by the University of Salford. Salford University knew that there was serious abuse of children in care in north Wales, because one of their own students on placement reported it to them. He was withdrawn from the placement and his evidence was dismissed by Ronnie Waterhouse on the grounds that he’d only been on placement in north Wales for a matter of days so he didn’t have the full picture re the standards of care for children in north Wales.

Salford University still provides social work training and whilst I was working at Bangor University, I and two colleagues had the most extraordinary experience with their ‘Research Professor’ Stephen Shardlow. It was so weird that we wondered whether Shardlow had personal difficulties which had resulted in him not being able to function at work – I kept our e mail exchanges  – but one of my colleagues was later told by someone at Salford that a new ‘Research Professor’ had been appointed who did not know anything about research, who did no work and who had only been appointed to give credibility to a very troubled dept. It was a man called Stephen Shardlow. Shardlow had managed to get himself appointed as the editor of a major social work journal. I wonder how that happened.

Salford was established as a University in 1967. Between 1967-91, the Chancellor was Prince Philip. So he flew the flag for Salford throughout those happy years when the institution provided qualifications for a paedophile gang and continued to do so even after one of their own students blew the whistle. Princess Fergie followed Phil the Greek as Chancellor until 1995, when Sir Walter Bodmer, the man who was at the helm of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1990 when the ICRF was involved in a major research fraud scandal which resulted in the (presumed) suicide of Prof Tim McElwain (see posts ‘Reports Of Death Were Greatly Exaggerated’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’), succeeded her. In 2005 Sir Martin Harris was appointed Chancellor. Harris was in post when Stephen Shardlow was given a job that his colleagues maintained that he should never have been given… Martin Harris comes from Ruabon near Wrexham and has passed through many institutions run by the paedophiles’ friends.

What of the VCs of Salford, the people who had their hands on the tiller? Clifford Whitworth was the VC, 1967-74. Salford University was in full swing qualifying paedophiles at that time, but I can’t find any trace of him on the internet. So he must have been the fall guy. Whitworth’s successor Sir John Horlock was just as guilty however – he was in post 1974-81, when many more child abusers were given qualifications and when that hotline between Cartrefle and Lucille and Nefyn Dodd was established. It would be difficult for even someone as dedicated to the science of cover-up and denial as Ronnie Waterhouse to airbrush John Horlock out of history, because John Horlock was responsible for a considerable piece of HE history.

Sir John Horlock was a mechanical engineer who built his reputation by refining gas turbines in jet engines for use in military aircraft. He was raised in Edmonton, North London and attended The Latymer School, Edmonton. He went from there to St John’s College, Cambridge, where he gained his PhD in 1958.

Ronnie Waterhouse went to St John’s College, Cambridge and Ronnie was a man who certainly maxed out on the utilisation of alumni networks. Furthermore, the appalling Deb Everard, one of the biggest problems at St George’s Hospital Medical School in the late 1980s/early 90s, was a Tory Councillor in Edmonton. Everard knew about Oliver Brooke the paedophile Prof of Paediatrics at St George’s and she knew about much other wrongdoing as well – indeed she was responsible for some of it. Everard was considered untouchable although she was not in a senior role – one lame attempt to discipline her was thwarted by the MSF rep David Hole. Who was corrupt himself, loathed Everard anyway but was involved in the misconduct along with everyone else and thus was obliged to defend her. Meanwhile everyone dined out on the personal friendship that their Head of Dept, Prof Geoffrey Chamberlain, maintained with Cilla, the nation’s auntie. It was a lorra lorra laffs, unless you were someone being targeted by this bunch who were concealing a paedophile gang. Everard also had an inexplicable friendship with Prof Ian Craft, the Top Doc who ran the private clinic where practices considered even too unacceptable for the rest of the sharks in the IVF world were routine, such as the implantation of eight or nine embryos in the full knowledge that five or six of them would be aborted at a later stage in the pregnancy. Why Ian Craft, an elitist very rich man, gave Deb Everard the time of day I do not know, but it will have involved questionable practices of some sort. If Everard was in reach of Sir John Horlock, I’m sure that she would have made use of him.

After graduation, Horlock worked for Rolls Royce at Derby, who sponsored him whilst he was doing his PhD, providing him with £30k worth of equipment at 1951 prices.

By the 1960s, there was a paedophile gang in the Derbyshire area with links to north Wales – the problems in Derbyshire were thought to have pre-dated the 1960s.

After he finished his PhD, Horlock stayed at Cambridge. He subsequently took a one year sabbatical at MIT and turned down a job offer from Rolls Royce in favour of the position in 1958 of Professor and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Liverpool. At Liverpool, Horlock oversaw a major expansion of the mechanical engineering building. Horlock’s Indie obituary tells us that he was ‘invited by Pergamon Press to edit a series of books in their Commonwealth Library and was subsequently invited to London to meet Pergamon’s proprieter, Robert Maxwell, which was ‘the beginning of a relationship which bore fruit later when he went to the OU’. I suspect that Horlock’s relationship with the Cap’n might have borne fruit before that, because Salford University has a Maxwell Building. Here it is:

  • File:Maxwell Building, Salford University.jpg - WikiVisually
  • Maxwell Building | Conferencing@Salford | University of ...

That the building was named after the Cap’n suggests that he probably paid for it, although I have not yet had a chance to inquire about this. Could this have been where some of the missing millions went? The Cap’n was the Labour MP for Buckingham, 1964-70, whilst Harold Wilson was PM.

The Cap’n went overboard in Nov 1991, whilst I was being forced out of my job at St George’s and whilst my friend who wanted to make a documentary about north Wales was being forced out of her job at the Royal Television Society. It was just after the Cap’n was found floating in the Atlantic that Tony Francis et al pulled out all of the stops (several times over the course of a few weeks) in an attempt to have me imprisoned, on the basis of statements that the MDU and their solicitors Hempsons knew constituted perjury which after the most florid allegations were demonstrated to be untrue, eventually resulted in a last ditch attempt to prosecute me for contempt (see post ‘The Sordid Role Of Sir Robert Francis QC’).

Headington Hall was the home of Robert Maxwell for the last 32 years of his life, which he rented from Oxford City Council. It is now part of Oxford Brookes University.
There was organised abuse of children – and associated abuses of psychiatry – in Oxfordshire, which was concealed by, among other people, Barbara Kahan – who was appointed as an adviser on children in care to Ted Heath’s Gov’t in 1970 – and her husband, Dr Vladimir Kahan. Babs remained as a Gov’t adviser until the 1980s, after which she continued to make herself useful by failing to notice that many of those with whom she was working on various child care and education/training projects were paedophiles and also by Chairing the Inquiry into the Staffordshire Pindown Scandal and not reporting just how bad things were there (see post ‘Always On The Side Of The Children’).
Tom Burns, who worked at St George’s whilst the staff concealed organised child abuse and who admitted that he believed my allegations regarding what was happening in north Wales, later found himself a Chair at Oxford University. As did Mark Williams, who worked with Dafydd and the paedophiles in north Wales, whilst committing the research fraud which was Mindfulness (see post ‘The Biggest Expert Of The Lot’). Richard Tranter, who joined the merry gang at the Hergest Unit for a stint as a junior doctor and then returned as a senior doctor, trained at Oxford, as did his wife Siobhan, who in her capacity as a tutor of Angels in Bangor University failed to pass on concerns from students that patients were being abused.
The crimes of Cap’n Bob are worthy of a blog in themselves, so I’ll do a bit of digging and see what I can find that is most relevant. Obviously, as a starter,  there was Cap’n Bob’s purchase of ‘The Mirror’, which employed Alastair Campbell as a journo and some dodgy big hitters as in-house lawyers and used the services of George Carman QC…

Sir John Horlock returned to Cambridge as Professor of Engineering in 1967. In the early 1970s, Horlock ‘played a major role’ in the activities of the Science Research Council, Chairing the Mechanical Engineering Committee. Horlock witnessed the success of his physicist colleagues in bagging funds from the SRC, so he suggested to a colleague that they should apply for a major grant themselves. Before you could say ‘massive conflict of interest’, Horlock’s Dept received a grant of £300k from the SRC and used it to found, in 1973, the Whittle Laboratory, Horlock becoming its Director.

In 1974 Horlock was appointed as VC of Salford University. There doesn’t seem to be much information available regarding Horclock’s time as VC of Salford, possibly because Cap’n Bob played a role in the ‘achievements’, so Salford have decided that it is best forgotten.

Much has been written about Horlock’s subsequent job as VC of the Open University, 1981-90. The OU cannot thank Horlock enough for his contribution, because many believed that he stopped Keith Joseph, who was Education Secretary, 1981-86, from closing the OU down. Not only did Horlock successfully defend the OU from Gov’t cuts, but he expanded the institution, enrolling the first postgrads and overseeing the foundation of, in 1983, the Open University Business School.

The OU was regarded by many as ‘Harold Wilson’s gimmick’ and for some people this alone was enough reason to close it down. In my post ‘The White Heat Of This Revolution’ I describe how Harold Wilson gave the OU project to Nye Bevan’s widow Jennie Lee and it was Jennie Lee and Wilson’s friend and solicitor Lord Goodman who succeeded in getting it off the ground, partly by providing a huge underestimate regarding costs and not providing a more realistic figure until it was too late to scrap the development. Arnold Goodman was widely believed to be dishonest and he acted as the solicitor for Jeremy Thorpe immediately after Thorpe was charged with incitement and conspiracy to kill, before Sir David Napley took over. Jennie Lee know about the abuse of children in Staffordshire that was being concealed and she also knew that from the very inception of the NHS, Top Doctors assisted in concealing the abuse, neglect and sometimes deaths of the poorer and more vulnerable citizens. What with Nye Bevan having become a folk hero in the Labour Party because of him being the driving force behind the NHS, nearly everyone colluded with the myth that ‘poor people’ benefited from the NHS to a greater extent than the better off. They didn’t.

It was obviously fairly important that no-one pissed off Jennie Lee, who outlived her husband by many years. The OU had support from some unlikely people. Despite the hostility of many Tories towards it, Thatcher, when she was Education Secretary in the early 1970s, opposed her Cabinet colleagues to save it. Thatcher was subsequently a fan of John Horlock.

Horlock himself claimed that in the fight to save the OU in the mid-80s, he reminded many Tory MPs that the number of students enrolled with the OU in their constituencies exceeded their majorities. He mentioned that one of the strongest supporters of the OU was the MP Tam Dalyell, who became a good friend of Horlock’s. Tam Dalyell wrote many of the obituaries of his generation of MPs. I have been really impressed by Dalyell’s ability to repackage the characters and track-records of the most unpleasant of his colleagues, including some of those that have since been exposed as having done some truly dreadful things. There are a lot of clues in Dalyell’s biography that he was concealing the crimes of Dafydd et al. Keith Joseph was said to have given the OU a reprieve after receiving so many letters from people who had benefited from the OU. The OU also received considerable support from the HE Minister, William Waldegrave, who knew about the abuse of children and associated criminality in north Wales and elsewhere and who was Health Secretary, 1990-92, whilst all that trouble at St George’s and in north Wales was concealed.

The OU provides training for a lot of health and social care staff, including social workers. I’m not sure when the OU started training social workers, but it was churning out psychology graduates who later became clinical psychologists as long ago as the 1970s. The really great thing about the OU for local authorities who have a problem with the abuse of people in their care, is that if their trainee social workers do a degree with the OU rather than another university, that local authority does not have to deal with students who are whistleblowers, because the OU just provides theoretical input, it is entirely up to the local authority as to whether the students qualify or not. There is no other party to negotiate with. Some years ago a whole series of social work students at Bangor University reported very serious problems on placement with Anglesey County Council. Staff from Bangor University defended the students, only to be told by Anglesey County Council that if the ‘problems with the students’ continued, Anglesey would hire its own staff as trainee social workers and qualify them through the OU. The ‘problem students’ were all whistleblowers. The students didn’t know this, but the people who’s conduct caused them such distress were the dear old paedophiles’ friends.

Whilst researching for this blog, I noticed that Harold Wilson systematically tied off all routes for professionals who might raise concerns about the abuse of vulnerable people by the state by the creation of supposedly citizen-friendly structures. Tony Blair did a very similar thing – the ‘service user empowerment’, the ‘social inclusion’, even the Human Right Act, were all used to give abusive state structures more and more power over citizens who raised questions about the conduct of the state.

Harold Wilson’s widening of HE opportunities did benefit people, but it was particularly effective at producing a whole cadre of state educated and state employed professionals who  found themselves in a position in which it would be virtually impossible to blow the whistle on serious state-endorsed crime – such as organised child abuse within the NHS and social services – and continue their professional careers. This situation exists today – it’s why there is a former Cardiff cardiac surgeon working as a cabbie after blowing the whistle on patient safety issues. Even if someone says OK then I’ll work in the voluntary sector, or private sector or academia, they will be forced out, because the funding and/or inspection regimes of those sectors is the responsibility of the state and the people in those funding/inspection roles are there after years of colluding with abuse.

I’ve watched the workings and the effects of this rigged system for a long time, but I didn’t realise that the roots of it were in Harold Wilson’s Gov’t. The long tentacles extended into the world of the arts as well, but I will return to that in a future post. Meanwhile, I’ll just mention a few things that were highlighted in Horlock’s obituary.

Horlock was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1976 and then served as its Vice-President and Treasurer during his retirement. Horlock ‘was an adviser to government and industry for 50 years. This included work with the National Grid, on the safety of nuclear installations and at the Aeronautical Research Council, as well as numerous other important contributions’.

Horlock was ‘knighted in 1996 for services to science, engineering and education’. It could be a complete coincidence, but 1996 was the year that the Waterhouse Inquiry was announced and established.

So Horlock advised on the safety of nuclear installations – a controversial and sensitive area. It was also an area in which on a number of occasions at least, Gov’ts did not keep the public informed. Lord Brian Flowers was another person who was involved in matters nuclear – he was a member of the Atomic Energy Authority, 1971-81 – who concealed Dafydd and the paedophiles’ crimes as well as medical research fraud and much other wrongdoing in the University of London (see post ‘The White Heat Of This Revolution’). Sir Alec Merrison was another nuclear physicist who was called in by Gov’t with regard to the Top Docs and their crimes.  Merrison was Senior Physicist at CERN, 1957-60; Chair of Experimental Physics at Liverpool University, 1960-69; VC of Bristol University from 1969. Sir Keith Joseph, when he was Health Secretary, appointed Merrison in 1973 to Chair a Committee of Inquiry after thousands of Top Docs threatened a mass public strike after a dispute with the GMC (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’). In 1976 Barbara Castle, then then Secretary of State for the DHSS, along with her Health Minister, Dr Death, appointed Merrison to Chair a Royal Commission on NHS Reform.

I grew up virtually on the doorstep of Hinkley Point and because I was used to it being there and I knew so many people who worked there, I took it as a fact of life. I had heard, as a teenager, that various worrying things had gone on at Hinkley that the wider public were kept substantially in the dark about, but what was more well-known among the local teenagers was that some of the people at Hinkley Point were thieving on a grand scale – not just pilfering pens and stationery, but they were making off with just about anything, building materials, household necessities, there was even a trade in whole bathrooms that had been stolen from Hinkley. It was a trough as deep as the NHS. The security out there was either very lax or the people driving off with the goodies had dirt of a valuable kind on the senior managers. After I left Somerset, one of the biggest accidents in UK nuclear power history happened at Hinkley – tons of radioactive CO2 was accidentally released into the atmosphere. Not a word appeared in the Somerset media, although there was coverage in the ‘New Statesman’. Then there were the local leukaemia clusters that no-one ever got to the bottom of – they definitely existed, but people were strangely reluctant to undertake a rigorous analysis. Some far-fetched theories were put forward – such as that the workers who migrated into Somerset from elsewhere when Hinkley was first built introduced new viruses into the local population… It’s not as if the Hinkley workers were missionaries going into darkest Africa, it was only Somerset. It could theoretically have been an explanation, but, er, radiation-related causes might be a more obvious one.

The best Hinkley-related story occurred some years before the CO2 leak. When I was about 11, a local man caused a major outrage by breaking into the houses of three people in one night and violently raping the women in each house. He was caught and arrested but was not imprisoned because, as his mother freely admitted, his uncle was an influential man locally and ‘got him off’. The rapist didn’t get off completely – he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and sat in Tone Vale Hospital near Taunton for a few months. Tone Vale didn’t have anything like the reputation that the North Wales Hospital did, but it was a receptacle for people who’d overdone the cider, but also those who had alleged abuse on the part of people with spotless reputations. This man ‘made a full recovery’ and returned to live locally, much to the anger of some who alleged that women and children had been placed in danger as a result of this small town corruption. The rapist then got a job at Hinkley Point. After a while, there were ructions. He had ‘gone mad’ again and was publicly hauled off to Tone Vale by the police. His schizophreniform symptoms of serially raping people had not popped up once more, but some new ones had. He had alleged that there were terrible things happening at Hinkley Point, that the safety of local people was at risk and that the trade unions and management were covering up very serious wrongdoing…. He spent longer in Tone Vale recovering from his Hinkley-related delusions than he did recovering from raping three women in one night.

No wonder people were cheerfully driving out of Hinkley Point in the possession of thousands of quids worth of goodies without being stopped.

So the OU was Harold Wilson’s and Jennie Lee’s ‘baby’, which received a bit of help from Lord Goodman to get it off the ground.

In 1967, Wilson’s Cabinet set up a Planning Committee in 1967, which kicked off the launch of the OU via its recommendations, which were accepted by the then Secretary of Education and Science, Ted Short aka Lord Glenamara. Ted Short trained as a teacher at Durham University – he later did a law degree at London University as well – and after WWII worked as a teacher and was the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne branch of the NUT. Short was elected as a Councillor on Newcastle-Upon-Tyne City Council in 1948. He was the Labour MP for Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, 1951-76; Education Secretary, 1968-70, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, 1972-76; Lord President of the Council, 1974-76 and also served as Chancellor of Northumbria University.

A paeophile gang operated in the north east with direct links to Dafydd’s gang in north Wales for decades. Huge numbers of children from the north east were sent to children’s homes in north Wales and two key figures in the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal, Matt Arnold and Peter Howarth, relocated to Bryn Estyn from Axwell Park Approved School in Gateshead. The Lord President of the Council serves as the visitor for a number of universities, including the University of Wales.

Ted Short was given a peerage in 1977. Why was there such a problem with child abuse in north Wales and mismanagement at UCNW which Shirl refused to investigate? Look no further than Ted…

The Committee was Chaired by Sir Peter Venables, the VC of Aston University. Other members included Lord Goodman, who was at that time the Chairman of the Arts Council of Great Britain; Dr Eric Briault, the Deputy Education Officer of ILEA; Prof Roy Shaw, the Director of Adult Education at Keele University and Prof Hilde Himmelweit of the School of Social Psychology.

Can anyone see some paedophiles’ friends hidden in the picture? Lord Goodman for a start. ILEA was busy colluding with the export of kids in the care of London boroughs to north Wales where they were abused and trafficked back down to London. Keele University employed Peter Righton, a paedophile who was a social work academic who used his work to justify adults having sex with children – Keele has welcomed a number of other paedophiles’ friends over the years. Prof Hilde Himmelweit completed her PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry under the discredited H.J. Eyesenck (see post ‘Radical Leicester And Some Other Free Radicals’).

Sir Peter Venables was Principal of the College of Advanced Technology (which evolved into Aston), 1955–1966 and Aston University’s first Vice-Chancellor, 1966–1969. He was born in Birkenhead and attended Birkenhead Secondary School and Liverpool University, where he obtained a degree in chemistry, an education diploma and a PhD. He served as the Open University’s first Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council. Peter Venables is yet another person who seems to have largely disappeared from the internet. I wonder why that might be.

Venables will have known about the corruption linked to Dafydd et al in Liverpool University and he will also have known about the equally serious corruption in Birmingham University, the City Council and the West Midlands Police. Kids in care in Birmingham were sent to children’s homes in north Wales and the Medical School in Birmingham contained Dafydd’s mate Robert Bluglass.

There was also a heavy presence from Sussex University on the Planning Committee – Asa Briggs, the then VC of Sussex; Lord Fulton, the former VC of Sussex; and Norman McKenzie, the Director of the Centre for Educational Technology at Sussex University. So someone in Harold Wilson’s Cabinet was desperate to have Sussex University wielding influence over the OU Planning Committee.

Lord John Fulton was a friend of Harold Wilson. I have blogged about John Fulton previously, but he’s worth resurrecting here, particularly as I have a suspicion that he might disappear from the internet soon as well.

John Fulton’s father was Angus Fulton, Principal of University College, Dundee. Fulton was born in Dundee and went to school there, then went to St Andrew’s University, then onto Balliol College. Ted Heath went to Balliol, but was 14 years younger than Fulton. During WWII, Fulton served in the Mines Dept and the Ministry of Fuel and Power, which was when he became a colleague and friend of Harold Wilson.

Fulton was Principal of University College, Swansea, 1947-59 – the employer of Rhodri Morgan’s father as well as of Dafydd’s buddy Saunders Lewis. Then Fulton was VC of the University of Wales, 1952-54 and again between 1958-59. In 1959 Fulton was appointed Principal of University College Sussex, which became the University of Sussex in 1961. He remained there until 1967.

So Fulton left Sussex the year before John Allen opened the Bryn Alyn Community, where kids in care were abused and then trafficked to John Allen’s brothels – in Brighton, Sussex and in London. Within just a few years, business was booming and many more people with money to spare moved to north Wales and brought isolated buildings which they turned into children’s homes or residential schools, thus expanding the business of the sex trafficking gang which was now well-established in north Wales. The business was considerably assisted by the Children Act, 1975, which was passed as a result of Leo Abse cultivating the company of Jim Callaghan and his wife Audrey and persuading Callaghan to set up the Houghton Committee, of which Leo Abse was a leading light (see post ‘Cry, The Beloved Country’). The Houghton Committee ‘took advice’ from Dafydd’s friends and associates who were concealing the booming business in the trafficking of young people in north Wales and who recommended changes in the law…

Leo Abse was a good friend of George Thomas, who was molesting children. Harold Wilson appointed Thomas as Secretary of State for Wales in 1968 and at that time the responsibility for the NHS and social services in Wales was transferred to the Welsh Office. Abse himself has been the subject of historical child abuse investigations. Audrey Callaghan concealed child abuse in the London boroughs before she relocated to south Wales (see post ‘Cry, The Beloved Country’). George Thomas and Callaghan hated each other, but Thomas got on very well with Harold Wilson because Thomas was a real vote winner in south Wales, what with all that Methodist lay-preaching and chumminess with the Royal Family (see ‘It Wasn’t On Our Radar’). And chumminess with Thatcher as well, but Thomas was forgiven that, it was just part of his natural charm.

Fulton went straight from the centre of a well-planned sex trafficking operation onto the Planning Committee for the OU.

Fulton was also: Chairman of the Universities Council for Adult Education and of the Council of the National Institute of Adult Education (1952-55); Chair of UCCA, 1961-64; Chair of the BBC and ITA Committees on Adult Education, 1962-65; Governor of the BBC, 1966-71; Vice-Chair of the BBC, 1966-67 and in 1968-71. Fulton was Chairman of the British Council, 1968-71 and in 1964, Wilson invited Fulton on the Committee of the Civil Service in 1964, which reported in 1968.

Fulton was involved in university policy making in Malta, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Hong Kong. In 1962, Fulton Chaired the Committee which established the new Chinese University of Honk Kong. He was Chair of the Inter-University Council of HE Overseas, 1964-68.

Well if you’ve got an outstandingly helpful paedophiles’ friend, you might as well give him international responsibilities.

Lord Fulton died in 1986, at home, among friends – in Jimmy Savile Central, Yorkshire.

I haven’t yet found any clue as to what precipitated Wilson’s sudden resignation as PM in 1976, but I suspect that it will have had rather more to do with this lot than with Wilson being a KGB agent, or getting fed up of being PM or believing that he was developing Alzheimers. He was an unscrupulous old bugger who rigged the whole of the UK’s state infrastructure to facilitate and conceal child abuse because George Thomas pulled in the votes in south Wales and Leo Abse was a very effective henchman.

The man who succeeded Lord Fulton as VC of Sussex and was in post as John Allen’s brothels in Brighton filled up with kids from the north Wales children’s homes was Asa Briggs, who was VC, 1967-76. Asa had his feet well under the table at Sussex by then though – in 1966 he was appointed Professor of History at Sussex, while also serving as Dean of the School of Social Studies, 1961–65 and PVC, 1961–67.

Asa Briggs was an historian who was born in Keighley, Yorkshire – he was off to a flying start in terms of a career as a paedophiles’ friend then. He went to Keighley Boys Grammar School and then Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. During WWII he served with the Intelligence Corps and at Bletchley Park. Whilst at Cambridge, Briggs had been a friend of Howard Smith, who became DG of MI5 in 1979. Between 1955-61, Briggs was Professor of Modern History at Leeds University and then moved to Sussex. Between 1976-91, Briggs was Provost of Worcester College, Oxford. He was Chancellor of the OU, 1978-94.

Briggs held a visiting appointment at the Gannett Center for Media Studies at Columbia University in the late 1980s and again at the renamed Freedom Forum Media Studies Center at Columbia in 1995–96. Callaghan gave him a peerage in 1976.

Between 1961-95, Briggs wrote a five-volume text on the history of broadcasting in the UK from 1922-74 — essentially, the history of the BBC, who commissioned the work. Briggs’ other works included the corporate history of Marks & Spencer – the company which provided the loan for the paedophiles’ friends of the Royal College of Psychiatrists to acquire a grandiose building in Belgravia which nearly bankrupted them (see post ‘The Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Connection?’). In 1987, Briggs was invited to be President of the Bronte Society. He presided over the Society’s centenary celebrations in 1993 and continued as President until he retired from the position in 1996. He was also President of the William Morris Society from 1978-91 and President of the Victorian Society (UK) from 1986 until his death.

Briggs died at home in Lewes at the age of 94 on 15 March 2016. Presumably he slipped off peacefully, rather than dying as a result of someone chucking a firebomb into the building, like the five witnesses to the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal who died in Brighton in 1992 did (see post ‘The Silence Of The Welsh Lambs’).

Asa Briggs had a terrible trauma whilst he was VC of Sussex. No he wasn’t arrested for being an accessory to serious organised crime, the trauma resulted from three Sussex students throwing red paint over a visiting US official, in a protest regarding the Vietnam War. Old Asa was so traumatised that decades later he banged on about these three students in a radio interview. Even better, after the old bastard was dead his daughter popped up on Radio 4 discussing the dreadful behaviour of the three Sussex students decades previously. She stated that Asa never got over it.

One of those students was from north Wales and when I heard about the red paint episode, I rather hoped that the man concerned would drench a few of those we know and love in north Wales with red paint. Sadly he never did, perhaps because he would have needed so many gallons of the stuff that he couldn’t lay his hands on enough of it. Before Briggs died, the wife of one of the students with whom Asa was so pissed off did not survive her encounter with the paedophiles’ friends of the Walton Centre at Liverpool. I didn’t know this when I was told about the red paint, but that student will have known about Dafydd and Gwynne and the paedophile gang. They never got the drenching in paint that they so richly deserved but they’ve got this blog instead. The child abusing murdering bastards.

Bottoms Up, We’ve All Become Millionaires!

Old Warwickians - 1940s-1960s School House Dinner

Readers might remember me mentioning in previous posts that in the mid-1980s, Thatcher’s henchman at the UGC, Sir Peter Swinnerton-Dyer, wanted to close down Bangor University, but he was reminded by UCNW that the place was full of people who were either assisting in supplying youngsters to the Westminster Paedophile Ring, or knew who was. Swinnerton-Dyer changed him mind quickly. Swinnerton-Dyer also went for Aston University, but the Thatcherite VC Sir Freddie Crawford did her bidding by closing down the Psychology Dept and transforming it into a Business School, where the paedophiles’ friends went to do business management qualifications for their future roles as public service managers (see post ‘The White Heat Of This Revolution’). Guess where else Swinnerton-Dyer aimed his axe? Salford. Salford was hit very badly, they had a 40% cut in their funding. They did survive – the VC who saw them through it was the VC who took over in 1981, when Salford was busy giving respectability to Cartrefle College which was run for the benefit of the paedophile gang of north Wales. I shall be blogging about that VC in a future post.

So Swinnerton-Dyer went after the three universities who were doing the most to facilitate Dafydd and the paedophiles – but he backed down and they survived…

There will be more background on other associates of Harold Wilson in future posts. Whilst digging around, I discovered a bit of info on Wilson’s mate Barbara Castle that I hadn’t known before. Barbara was the ‘fiery red-head’ (her hair was dyed) whom aspiring female Labour politicians all feel obliged to say that they admire or even consider as their ‘role model’. The Strong Woman Who Didn’t Take Any Crap, the Real Socialist etc. Barbara shagged her way around the Labour Party during the middle years of the 20th century, which is what people meant when they made reference to her ‘fiery red-hair’ and ‘passion’. I don’t mind that Barbara shagged her way around, but Barbara also concealed the abuse of kids and vulnerable people by the health and welfare services whilst boasting of her commitment to equality and women. What I didn’t realise was that Barbara and her husband were very keen to have children but experienced fertility problems. I watched an old clip of Barbara talking about the fertility treatment that she tried and she was stressing that it was, in her view, appalling and bizarre, involving her having injections of hormones extracted from mares’ urine. People are often very surprised at what is at the root of the Top Docs miracle cures. Not that it was a miracle cure, Barbara had enough and gave up. I know one thing though. Barbara, the True Socialist, who Hated Private Medicine and pissed off the Top Docs by Taking a Stand on private beds, would not have been able to get that treatment at that time on the NHS.

So which expensive Harley Street Top Doc treated Red Barbara then? I think we should be told.

One of many who told me how much she admired Barbara Castle and how sad it was that all those men stopped her becoming PM was Nicky Mitchell-Heggs, the occupational health physician at St George’s Hospital Medical School – who now runs a substantial private practice, as does her Top Doc husband. Mitchell-Heggs was one of those who was instrumental in forcing me out of my job at St George’s. After I obtained copies of my records, along with the full written admissions that Nicky and co knew that Dafydd was sexually exploiting patients and they believed that Tony Francis was as well, Nicky had written and CC’d a letter about me in which she stated that now that I had left my job, she would ‘be taking a back seat’. Which was interesting, because I thought that Nicky was a bourgeois idiot and I only saw her on about two occasions. So what sort of front seat was she taking before I left my job then?

So Nicky, who was it from St George’s who traced some relatives of mine that I had not given anyone any details of, impersonated Brown and told them that I’d tried to kill myself? Which was not only extraordinary but was untrue. Who ever did it was obviously quite skilled, because the people whom they spoke to knew Brown and sincerely believed that it was him. I know who can do things like that – the security services can. They can record, splice, etc. It certainly wasn’t Keith Harris and Orville. I know that Nicky knows something about it because there was a reference to it in the letter that she CC’d to everyone.

The problem with the coroners’ verdicts on so many of the victims of Dafydd et al who were found dead in north Wales was that some of those deaths were murders, but they were recorded as suicides because they were of mental health patients who were known to be distressed. Er – Springfield patient loses her job at St George’s, appears in court on serious charges on the basis of statements provided by Top Docs in north Wales, her friend rings up her relatives and tells them that she’s tried to kill herself. Was the scene being set for my dead body to be found Nicky?

Nicky Mitchell-Heggs originally trained as a psychiatrist. She became the occ health physician at St George’s allegedly because of ‘male prejudice’ towards her. Mitchell-Heggs was the occ health physician in an institution in which a great many staff were facilitating a pan-European paedophile ring and a Professor of Paediatrics had been imprisoned for his part in it. I don’t know why Mitchell-Heggs was in that job, but it won’t have been anything to do with sexism at work.

Michell-Heggs seemed to have a great deal of money for a working mother in an NHS job…

I heard earlier that the Home Secretary Sajid Javid has announced that the UK is to employ 2000 more security services agents. Tell you what Sajid, why not hire 2000 patients of Dafydd’s with a sense of humour, give them a bit of loose change and a phone box and get them to do what they did 20 yrs ago, when they rang him up and took the piss out of him. They presented more of a challenge to him and found out more about his crimes and who assisted them than the police force did and the security services were helping him anyway. Theresa should have popped around to my place when I worked at St George’s because I could have filled her in – she was a Councillor just down the road from St George’s…

There will be more posts soon naming more of the guilty…
