A Discovery Of Witches

After blogging about Hilary Benn and his links to those we know and love in my post ‘Badlands’, I mentioned that if I had time I’d blog about two of those who had helped Hilary’s career. The two people whom I was thinking of are Richard Corbett and Ian McCartney.

Richard Corbett shares Hilary’s constituency office in Leeds. Richard Graham Corbett is the MEP for Yorkshire and Humber and the Labour Leader in the European Parliament. Corbett represented Merseyside West, 1996-99, (under the system that predated the present proportional representation regional system); he then represented Yorkshire and the Humber, 1999-2009 and Yorkshire and the Humber again after being re-elected in 2014.

So Richard Corbett was elected as MEP for Merseyside West in the year that William Hague announced the Waterhouse Inquiry and Corbett remained in the seat for most of the duration of that Inquiry. Dafydd and the gang’s empire included Merseyside (see post ‘These Sharks Are Crap As Well’) and they were colluding with Liverpool City Council, including members of Militant. John Hamilton, the Leader of Liverpool City Council when Derek Hatton was Deputy Leader and havoc prevailed in Liverpool, was seriously injured in a house fire in Jan 2000, the month before the Waterhouse Report was published. John Hamilton knew about Dafydd’s influence on Merseyside and the crime empire. Hamilton had a particular interest in schools/education. See post ‘I Warn You…’ for further information about John Hamilton.

Corbett is Vice-Chair of the European Movement in the UK and sits on the executive committee of the Labour Movement for Europe.

Between January 2010 and February 2014, Corbett was an adviser to the first full-time and long-term President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy. In this capacity and as a frequent writer and commentator on European affairs, on 14 Nov 2012 Corbett was voted by a panel of retired diplomats, journalists, academics and think-tankers as the fourth most influential Briton on EU policy, ahead of the PM and the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Baroness Ashton.

When Catherine Ashton was appointed as the EU’s first High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in Nov 2009, some elements in the right wing UK media were fuming about the power that a virtually unknown woman had been given without most of the UK public even being aware of this. The anger was constructed by some as the ranting of Little Englanders, but they did have a point. Very few people in the UK knew who Ashton was, they had definitely not elected her and they had very little idea of the enormous influence that she would be wielding. Huge swathes of the UK public take little interest in the European Parliament, the turnout in EU elections is low and furthermore the structures of the EU Parliament are really only fully understood by the few people who’s work is linked to the EU Parliament.  Since I began researching for this blog, I have become acutely aware of just how many MEPs were involved in colluding with Dafydd and the linked gangs – pan-European trafficking gangs. That should worry everyone. There has been much publicity given to the European ‘gravy train’, but there are public figures who assisted trafficking gangs who have sat, or are sitting, in the EU Parliament wielding huge power.

Consider this:

Woy Jenkins, President of the European Commission, 1977-81; Leon Brittan, Vice-President of the European Commission, 1999; The Windbag, Vice-President of the European Commission, European Commissioner for Administrative Reform, 1999-04; Baroness Glenys Windbag, Labour MEP, 1994-09; Beata Brookes, Conservative MEP, 1979-89.

These are just five people who over decades concealed the organised abuse of children and vulnerable people and were personal friends of many others who did so. There are many more sitting in the EU Parliament with biographies just as shameful.

As for Catherine Ashton, she has passed through many of the bodies which were peopled by paedophiles’ friends of a left wing variety, including Bedford College, London; CND, 1977-83; Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, 1983; National Council for One Parent Families. Ashton Chaired the Health Authority in Hertfordshire, 1998-2001. Blair gave Ashton a peerage in 1999, just before the publication of the Waterhouse Report.

In June 2001 Ashton was appointed a junior Minister in the DES. In 2002 Ashton became Minister responsible for Sure Start in the DES. In north Wales, Sure Start was used as a recruiting ground for tame social work students – all those vulnerable young women who genuinely wanted to work in the caring professions, but who’s difficult personal histories were known to the paedophile gang and their friends and were used to threaten them into silence once they qualified…

Baroness Ashton was a Minister in the DES when there was an attempt to strike me off the teaching register after the paedophile gang tried to frame me for ‘threatening to kill’ an NHS manager. The charges were withdrawn on the first day of the trial and I was instead convicted of the lowest category of a public order offence – for telling the secretary of Alun Davies, the NHS manager in question, that he was a fat idiot. See post ‘Interesting Happenings In The Legal System’. A junior Minister – not Ashton – cleared my name and he was then named in the media as having ‘allowed paedophiles’ to remain on the teaching register no less. The DES subsequently wrote to me telling me that if I ever wanted to teach again I’d have to be passed as being ‘medically fit’ to do so. For not being a paedophile and having not been convicted of threats to kill on the basis of the perjury and conspiracy of those who would be trusted with deciding whether I was now ‘medically fit’….

In September 2004, Baroness Ashton was appointed a junior Minister in the Dept for Constitutional Affairs, with responsibilities including the National Archives and Public Guardianship Office. Ashton was sworn of the Privy Council in 2006 and she became a junior Minister at the new Ministry of Justice in May 2007. By which time I was once more being arrested for ludicrous reasons at the behest of the paedophiles’ friends, who were also threatening me and other witnesses in public. There was no investigation into any of it.

In 2006 Cathy Ashton won the ‘Politician of the Year’ award at the annual Stonewall Awards, made to those who had a positive impact on the lives of British LGBT people. This was a woman who had by now done many favours for a paedophile/trafficking gang who targeted underaged boys in particular.

On 28 June 2007, PM Gordon Brown appointed Ashton to the Cabinet as Leader of the Lords and Lord President of the Council. One function of the Lord President of the Council is to act as the visitor for Bangor University. So Ashton was in that role when chaos was breaking out at Bangor, with obvious attempts to undermine the then VC, accompanied by plots to plant fallacious stories about him in the media and to frame him for a criminal offence, to ensure that ‘he went’.

A close friend of the then VC of Bangor University was the junior Minister who, some five years before, had cleared my name.

So Cathy and Gordon, what was going on? I have 10,000 documents with me demonstrating serious organised crime, people died unnecessarily at the hands of the Top Docs who had facilitated the paedophile gang in north Wales/Cheshire and innocent people were having their careers and lives ruined.

I think that Blair and Gordon might need more than a meal at The Granita to extract them from this heap of crap.

Catherine Ashton is married to Peter Kellner, President of YouGov, who is always mouthing off in the ‘New Statesman’.

Ashton was instrumental in steering the EU’s Treaty of Lisbon through the UK Parliament’s upper chamber. In Jan 2017 she was appointed as the Chancellor of Warwick University, the University’s first female Chancellor. I would like to think that Cathy was also Warwick’s first Chancellor to have assisted organised abuse, but she isn’t. Warwick has a long tradition of such Events, dating back as far as the appointment of the first Chancellor, Viscount Cyril Radcliffe, who came from Denbighshire (see post ‘Comedies Of Menace’).

Here’s Catherine Ashton with a big admirer of David Miliband, one of Uncle Harry’s nephews:

You’d better keep Bill under lock and key, Hillary, Rachel Webb is in hot pursuit (see post ‘Badlands’)….
Hilary Benn’s colleague Richard Corbett was born in Southport, Lancashire, to parents from Wales and London. He attended the primary Farnborough Road School in Southport. When his father was offered a post as a statistician at the World Health Organisation, the family moved to Geneva and Corbett attended the International School of Geneva (attended at the time mostly by children from UN Agencies in Geneva).

Corbett then studied at Trinity College, Oxford, where he was the Secretary of the Labour Club and Chairman of the Oxford Committee for Europe. He co-ordinated the Oxford student ‘Yes’ campaign in the 1975 EEC referendum.

Corbett later did a PhD in political science at Hull University. A number of the current generation of Labour politicians went to Hull University, come of whom were active in Labour politics there, such as Tom Watson and David Hanson. Tom is someone who knows a great deal about Dafydd’s empire (see previous posts). David Hanson is the Labour MP for Delyn in north Wales and was a Cheshire County Councillor when Dafydd and the gang were operating through the Social Services in north Wales and Cheshire. David is married to Margaret Hanson, who was also a Cheshire Councillor, as well as a family and children’s social worker for Cheshire Social Services. She is now the Vice-Chairman of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. David Hanson was appointed as Blair’s PPS in 2001, once the Waterhouse Report was safely published and the initial outcry over the cover-up had died down. See post ‘The Most Dangerous Man In The World – Part II’ for more details regarding David Hanson and other posts for accounts of Margaret’s excesses.

There was of course a trafficking ring operating in the Yorkshire region for many years. The sort of students at Hull who were active in politics would probably have known at least something about it, even if they didn’t realise the enormity of what was going on.

Richard Corbett’s activities in the European Students at Oxford led on to him being elected first to the youth board of the European Movement in Britain; then to the International Presidency of the youth wing of the European Movement and of the Union of European Federalists, the Young European Federalists (JEF), a post which Corbett held from 1979 to 1981.

Corbett was Secretary-General of the European Co-ordination Bureau of International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations, 1977-81, representing youth organisations in the Council of Europe’s European Youth Foundation and European Youth Centre. Corbett also helped to set up the European Youth Forum and represented Western European youth organisations in negotiations with Eastern European organisations pursuant to the Helsinki Treaty (as well as at the World Festival of Youth in Havana in 1978 along with Charles Clarke and Mandy). Corbett worked with Altiero Spinelli MEP on the latter’s proposal for a draft treaty establishing a European Union, adopted by the European Parliament in 1984.

Before being elected as an MEP, Corbett worked in the voluntary sector and as a civil servant, later becoming a policy adviser to and then Deputy Secretary General of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament. He worked on drafting the parts of the treaties of Maastricht and Amsterdam that increased the powers of the Parliament.

In 1992, Corbett was made Ambassador of Goodwill of the US State of Arkansas, by its then Governor Bill Clinton.

Corbett was a member of the European Parliament’s Constitutional Affairs Committee and the spokesman for the Labour Party, as well as the whole of the wider Group of the Party of European Socialists, on European constitutional affairs. In 2006, Corbett was elected Deputy Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party, which he remained until the end of his period as an MEP.

In 2003, Corbett’s proposals to re-write the European Parliament’s Rules of Procedure were largely accepted. In 2004–2005, Corbett was the co-rapporteur (with Inigo Mendez de Vigo) for Parliament on the Treaty establishing a constitution for Europe. This report formed the basis of Parliament’s official position on the treaty, which Corbett was invited to present to several national parliaments.

In 2005, Corbett was appointed as Parliament’s negotiator (along with Joseph Daul MEP) to broker a new system of Parliamentary scrutiny over Commission implementing measures (under the previously much-criticised ‘comitology’ procedure), which led to an agreement among the Council of Ministers, the Commission and the Parliament in 2006 giving Parliament the right to veto quasi-legislative implementing measures. This represented a major increase in Parliament’s powers over the Commission.

In 2007–08, Richard Corbett was again co-rapporteur with Inigo Mendez de Vigo for Parliament on the Treaty of Lisbon, which replaced the constitutional treaty after two member states declined to ratify it and was again rapporteur for a new overhaul of Parliament’s procedures in 2009.

Throughout his career, Richard Corbett has been a strong advocate of EU reform and has a particular interest in improving democratic accountability by continuing to increase the European Parliament’s power within the EU institutional system. Professor Juliet Lodge of Leeds University has named Corbett as one of five ‘movers and shakers’ in the European Parliament who ‘have brought the European Parliament from being a mere talking shop to a legislature with genuine power’.

Richard Corbett is a man who knew/knows about Dafydd’s crime empire, has said nothing but has been a busy bee nonetheless.

Richard Corbett has been critical of UKIP and in June 2004, he drew attention, in the Indie, to UKIP links with the BNP in that year’s local elections: ‘In Yorkshire, where both the BNP and UKIP put up candidates, they appear to have come to an arrangement not to stand against one another’.

I’m not sure if Corbett actually had the evidence that there was such an arrangement between UKIP and the BNP, but Concerned Corbett could have mentioned a few other things going on in Bradford which he chose not to. The organised trafficking gangs which were causing havoc for a start. There has now been much publicity regarding their activities, but the media coverage has concentrated on the role of South Asian men in those gangs. Very much less has been said about the role of the Social Services and police colluding with the gangs and nothing at all has been mentioned about the NHS substantially contributing to the problem.

The mental health services in Bradford are scandalously bad and have been so for a very long time. Things got so acutely embarrassing that a few years ago Bradford drummed up much good PR in a very Dafyddesque manner by stressing that one of their clinical psychologists, Dr Rufus May, was a ‘former schizophrenic’. Rufus was profiled in many media outlets and told the world of how when he was a teenager, he had actually been sectioned and forcibly injected, so he Knew What It Was Like. Brown and I had just begun publishing about the north Wales mental health services when Rufus became famous. I e mailed Rufus but did not receive a reply. Rufus’s website currently promotes every bog standard initiative that is required if one is to nail one’s colours to the mast of Service User Empowerment, including Mindfulness, the research fraud perpetrated by Bangor’s very own Professor Mark Williams when Mark Williams worked with Dafydd and the paedophile gang in the late 1980s (see post ‘The Biggest Expert Of The Lot’).

I and my friends know Mark Williams Rufus and most of his patients from the 1980s are now dead.

This will really piss Rufus off, but I am friends with two people who spent their whole working lives in Bradford, in FE and HE. I have some knowledge of what passed/passes for mental healthcare in Bradford and it was a north Wales situation. People begging for care and treatment only to be told to piss off after being diagnosed with ‘borderline personality disorder’ and then their dead bodies being found a few months later. At one point my friends were sending me every newspaper clipping regarding the death of a psych patient in the Bradford area and it was certainly impressive.

My friends lived in Shipley, which is where Richard Corbett lives. Their house had a view of the ‘mental health resources centre’, which, like the ‘mental health resources centre’ in Bangor, was usually closed and when it was open was staffed by people who didn’t give a stuff about the profoundly desperate people who had been ‘referred’ to them. Bodies of Empowered Service Users were turning up everywhere.

Corbett also kept quiet about the high mortality rate among baby girls from the poorest South Asian families, as well as the forced marriages and even honour killings among certain communities in Bradford. Corbett will have known about it all, although the people who were compiling the terrifying stats in the NHS at Bradford were keeping it as quiet as the local politicians were, because they feared that if the BNP got hold of the data they’d use it to their advantage.

The only politician in the area who dared talk about the sexual abuse of teenagers, the forced marriages and the honour killings was Ann Cryer, the Labour MP for Keighley. Anne Cryer was given a really bad time and accused by the rest of the Labour Party of racism. My friends knew Ann and absolutely assured me that she was not racist, she had just found out what was happening to some young women in certain communities in Bradford and was not prepared to keep quiet. It is now admitted that Ann was quite right to be concerned and furthermore Bradford’s health and social care services have now fessed up to the problems resulting from consanguinity and are offering genetic counselling at last. No-one has yet dared admit that among certain South Asian communities in Bradford – not all of them – there is an inexplicably high rate of infant mortality among girls. These matters could have been addressed without providing fodder to the BNP and without beating the South Asian population over the head with a stick, but as ever fuckwittery prevailed with clueless Top Docs and Angels not knowing what to do.

As for racist conduct, there was one Angel tutor in one institution in Bradford who was subjected to such severe racist bullying by her fellow Angel tutors – on one occasion a picture of a monkey was attached to her door by another Angel – that she sued. The institution didn’t dare admit publicly that they had a major problem with Angels of Race Hate, so the matter was settled by giving the target of the racism a Chair in Nursing, even though she did not have anything like the CV required to achieve success in that role. This Dept of Health and Welfare was so troubled that it was known as Health and Warfare by the rest of Bradford.

The balloon went up in Bradford in 2010 with the conviction of the self-styled Crossbow Cannibal Killer aka Stephen Griffiths. Griffiths murdered and dismembered three Bradford sex workers and the remains of one of them was found in a river near Shipley. The media coverage made much of this man’s status as a criminology PhD student, but there were plenty of clues that he was or had been an Empowered Service User. There was a curious absence of detail regarding that and I wasn’t able to find out the identities of the ‘medical experts’ who gave evidence at his trial either.

I was particularly interested in the Crossbow Cannibal Killer, not only because my friends had by then been telling me for some time about the excesses of the mental health services in the Bradford area, but because Dr Robert Kehoe used to practice as a psychiatrist in the area. Kehoe was one of the ‘experts’ who lied and lied about me, Brown and everyone who made a statement detailing the way in which they had witnessed me being treated by the mental health services in north Wales (see post ‘An Expert In Resistant Service Users’). As an added extra in his ‘report’, Kehoe recommended that the Hergest whistleblower should face disciplinary action for ‘colluding’ with me.

One of Kehoe’s business partners had connections to Dr Tony Roberts, one of Dafydd’s colleagues in north Wales and the man who’s dangerous practice and gross negligence Kehoe had been asked to comment on. Tony Roberts is a graduate of Manchester University, having ‘trained’ there when Dafydd’s mate and mentor Dr Bob Hobson reigned over the mental health services at Manchester (see post ‘The Mentor’).

Robert Kehoe is the former Medical Director of an NHS authority in the Bradford area. He resigned after it was found that one of the Angels had been murdering patients by lethal injection. Kehoe set himself up as an expert witness – he’s got a Harley Street practice as well now – and became involved with Cygnet Healthcare, an American private healthcare company. Kehoe was then appointed as Clinical Director of Cygnet, who are now breaking into the UK mental health market big time. Kehoe is now back working as an NHS psychiatrist in Keighley near Bradford as well.

Lest readers think that Corbett might have been too busy in Europe to notice these horrors on the doorstep of his permanent residence in Shipley, I’m happy to inform everyone that Corbett has held a number of offices in the UK Labour Party as well as being busy in Europe. As well as being Deputy Leader and, since October 2017, Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party (EPLP), Corbett served on the Regional Board for Yorkshire and the Party’s National Policy Forum, a position to which he was re-elected by fellow Labour MEPs in May 2014. He was formerly national Chair of the Labour Movement for Europe and now serves as one of its Labour MEP representatives.

As Leader of the EPLP, Corbett is a member of the NEC of the Labour Party and attends Shadow Cabinet meetings.

Corbett is Vice-Chair of the UK European Movement.

Corbett used to live in Saltaire, a village near to Shipley. Corbett helped to campaign for UNESCO World Heritage Status for Saltaire. Saltaire is part of the Shipley electoral ward of the City of Bradford and part of the Parliamentary constituency of Shipley, currently represented by Tory Philip Davies. Philip Davies is very good at angering Labour MPs, particularly female ones. Davies is often to be found demanding things like International Men’s Day when the wimmin are celebrating their own International Day or being obstructive if people are trying to pass legislation protecting women from harassment and suchlike. My Friends In The North told me years ago that Philip Davies was indeed an offensive pain, but Labour wimmin do tend to supply him with ammunition, as do the local authorities on Philip Davies’s home patch, with their combination of corruption and fuckwittery.

Saltaire gaining World Heritage Status may have had something to do with a few other people who lived there as well as Richard Corbett. From 1999 to 2005, Parliamentarians from three chambers all lived in Saltaire – Chris Leslie, a Labour MP in the Commons, Lord Wallace in the Lords and Corbett in the European Parliament.

Christopher Michael Leslie has been the Labour Co-operative MP for Nottingham East since 2010. In 2015, between May and September, he served as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Shadow Cabinet of Acting Labour leader Harriet. Earlier in his political career, Leslie was the MP for Shipley, 1997-05 and a Minister in the Dept for Constitutional Affairs, from 2001-05. Between 2005 and his 2010 re-election, Leslie worked as the Director of the New Local Government Network think-tank.

Chris Leslie was born in Keighley, near Bradford, attended Bingley Grammar School and then Leeds University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in 1994 and then with an MA in 1996. From 1994 to 1996, Leslie was an office administrator and later a political research assistant in Bradford in 1996–97. He was elected to Parliament a month before his 25th birthday.

Chris Leslie knew about the paedophile/trafficking ring operating in Yorkshire and Savile’s involvement in it, as well as the other health/social care scandals that I have discussed above.

Leslie gained the seat of Shipley in 1997 when he defeated Marcus Fox, the Chairman of the Conservative 1922 Committee and Shipley’s MP. Marcus Fox was a dreadful old Yorkshire Tory who was elected for Shipley in 1970 and kept quiet about the considerable wrongdoing in Yorkshire by the trafficking ring and their associates. Fox knew Betty Boothroyd from when he was young. Boothroyd, in her capacity as Speaker, silenced Ann Clwyd when in June 1996 Clwyd wanted to raise questions and elicit debate in the Commons about the abuse of children in care in north Wales, in the wake of the Jillings Report (see post ‘The Aftermath Of The Jillings Report – In Parliament’).

Betty Boothroyd’s image is one of a game old bird, the former Tiller Girl who broke a glass ceiling – just like Thatch – by becoming the first women Speaker. Boothroyd actually has done everything possible to protect the most appalling people who have found their way into Parliament, because she clearly prioritised the reputation of Parliament over the lives of the victims of serious crime. It was a really stupid thing to have done Betty and the result is not a pretty sight.

Marcus Fox’s political career began when he was elected to Dewsbury Council in 1956. He served as a Whip under Heath and as a junior Minister under Thatch. Fox became Vice-Chairman of the highly influential 1922 Committee in 1983 and Chairman in 1994.

Sir Edward du Cann, the MP for Taunton, was Chairman of the 1922 Committee, 1973-84. Du Cann was a youthful Tory MP when my grandfather was a Tory activist in Somerset. My grandfather always maintained that du Cann was a crook and indeed it became very obvious indeed by the time that du Cann was middle aged that he was one hell of a crook. After du Cann’s criminality bankrupted him, somehow he bounced back, buggered off to Cypus to make a new life and was able to invest money in yet more business ventures. Du Cann’s fortunes took an unexpected upward turn late in life after du Cann, by then just a politician from the past, gave an interview to the ‘Sunday Herald’, which was published on 18 July 1995. Du Cann explained that he was so pissed off with the Tory Party that he was going to speak out, that he ‘had a lot to tell’ and was ‘going to tell it’. At the time that du Cann was making these threatening noises, John Major’s Gov’t was pushing out all the boats to conceal the crap in north Wales, dirty deals had just been done to give Dafydd an offer that he could not refuse to ‘retire’ and the machine had gone into action behind closed doors to plan a rigged Inquiry into the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal. Du Cann soon decided that he didn’t have anything to tell after all and died decades later, at a very good age, in affluence and comfort. See post ‘Conference At Cold Comfort Farm’.

Marcus Fox knew about all the Parliamentary scandals under Heath and Thatch, including those which were concealed until recently, such as the Westminster Paedophile Ring and Sir Peter Morrison’s part in it. When ‘Private Eye’ got hold of the story that Cecil Parkinson had made Sara Keays pregnant, they didn’t publish it but instead published a spoof, which claimed that it was Marcus Fox who had made his mistress pregnant. I always presumed that the Eye had done that for a laugh, but I wonder if they were trying to draw attention to something else…

Dafydd had links with the Yorkshire gang and held ‘clinics’ in Yorkshire. As well as holding clinics in Yorkshire, Dafydd was really fleecing someone else in that region. On one occasion, Dafydd was travelling back to Llangefni and he literally stopped at someone’s house for a cup of char – in the past this someone had been a patient of Dafydd’s. Dafydd subsequently sent him a bill for several hundred quid for the ‘consultation’. I do hope that the patient then sent Dafydd an even more enormous bill for the cup of tea.

Shipley was the neighbouring seat to Chris Leslie’s hometown of Keighley, another seat taken by Labour from the Conservatives in Blair’s landslide of 1997. It was Ann Cryer who won Keighley for Labour – the Ann who was then subjected to a campaign of hate for her ‘racism’. Ann’s first husband was killed in a road accident in 1994, when she was in the car with him and her second husband died after they had only been married for a year. I have no idea whether the deaths were suspicious, but Ann did receive death threats herself when she took on the paedophile gang and their friends.

Like so many who helped Blair win his landslide in 1997, both Chris Leslie and Ann knew how serious the problem of organised trafficking was. Blair must have been really pissed off that Ann actually campaigned on the subject instead of keeping her mouth shut and praising the Top Doctors.

Chris Leslie found more favour in Parliament than Ann did. He was appointed PPS to paedophiles’ friend and Blair’s former flat mate Charlie Falconer (see previous posts) for a period of more than three years, which says it all. Leslie held his Shipley seat in 2001, but his majority was reduced by a half.

Leslie became a junior Minister in the Cabinet Office in 2001, after the fuss about the Waterhouse Report being a huge cover-up had died down. In 2002, he was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State to the Office of the Deputy PM – Prezza, who was the MP for Hull East since 2010 and had also been at Ruskin College when Matt Arnold taught there and Peter Howarth was a student. Matt Arnold and Peter Howarth played leading roles in the north Wales/Cheshire paedophile gang and before that they had been part of the linked gang operating in the north east of England. See post ‘A Study In Tyranny’. Prezza originally came from north Wales. Chris Leslie then moved to spend almost two years as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Dept for Constitutional Affairs, again working under Charlie Falconer, 2003-05.

Leslie lost his seat to Philip Davies in 2005. The Labour Party might like to ask themselves why that happened.

Leslie didn’t stop assisting New Labour just because he was voted out. In 2005, he became the Director of the New Local Government Network, a Blairite think-tank. Leslie led Gordon Brown’s successful and uncontested campaign for the Labour Party leadership in 2007.

On 14 April 2010, Leslie was selected as the Parliamentary Candidate for Nottingham East in the General Election campaign, after the Labour NEC imposed a shortlist and selection panel following the late resignation of the MP John Heppell, who stepped down due to his wife’s illness.

Chris Leslie  was obviously chosen as a safe pair of hands to follow the safe pair of hands which was John Heppell. Heppell was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, went to school locally and also completed FE in the north east. He worked for the NCB, 1964-70 and then relocated to Nottingham to work as a fitter. In 1975, Heppell joined British Rail, where he remained until 1989. He was elected as a Councillor to Nottinghamshire County Council in 1981, served as Deputy Leader, 1989-92 and then stepped down from the Council in 1993. He was elected to the Commons in 1992.

So John Heppell will have known of the corruption and wrongdoing in the NHS in Nottingham that I witnessed and was told about when I worked at the Cancer Research Campaign Labs at Nottingham University in the autumn of 1987 as described in previous posts, as well as the idiocy which constituted the Nottingham Satanic Panic (see previous posts). In my post ‘Jennifer’s Diary’ I described how in 1988, my father’s small, ailing workplace in Somerset was for some inexplicable reason purchased by a businessman based in Nottingham whom no-one in Somerset had ever heard of and who ran a business concerned with a different line of work anyway. The employees in Bridgwater were told to face redundancy or move to Nottingham. My father was the only person who did relocate to Nottingham where he worked in difficult conditions which seriously damaged his health. As father was nearly worked to death, other people in Somerset who knew what had happened/was happening to me at the hands of Dafydd and the gang but kept quiet about it became inexplicably very wealthy after bumping into the degenerate adult offspring of people connected to the Tory Party who befriended them (see post ‘Upper Class Twit Of The Year – Shooting Themselves’).

Ken Clarke was Heath Secretary when Richard Tennant from Nottingham decided that he was going to purchase the business which employed my father. Ken Clarke was concealing all the crap in north Wales – and at St George’s – that I found out about. Ken Clarke is MP for Rushcliffe in Nottingham and before becoming an MP had worked as a barrister in Nottingham. Ken Clarke had many business interests.

A One Nation Tory Who Went Into Battle With The BMA But Was So Fucking Stupid That He Wouldn’t Work With The One Person Who Would Have Given Him The Evidence To Have Some Of Them Imprisoned:

Official portrait of Mr Kenneth Clarke crop 2.jpg

Now who does that remind me of?

Edwina Hart

It was when Ken of the One Nation, pints, curries, cigars and Hush Puppies joined the Dept of Health that Brown, I and our friends who were witnesses to events in north Wales found our lives particularly disrupted by all those people whom I have now been told were gifts from the security services. I will be blogging more about them soon.

Hilda the Angel: you’ll be delighted to know I can remember everything about Avril the Cider Drinker, Womack and Womack and many more….

I’m quite sad that Hilda was a member of the security services because before she turned weird and made me homeless, she was very entertaining. Particularly when she rang the North Wales Hospital Denbigh and pretended to be a serial killer. They asked her if she ‘wanted to talk to someone’. Sadly Dafydd could not be found, being busy moonlighting in a private clinic somewhere or other.

In 1997, John Heppell was appointed as PPS to Ivor Richard, the then Leader of the Lords. Ivor Richard is a paedophiles’ friend from south Wales who reached high office. Positions occupied by Ivor include the British Ambassador to the UN; European Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs, 1981-85; Leader of the House and Lord Privy Seal, 1997-98.

In 1985  Richard was appointed Chairman of World Trade Centre Wales Ltd., which tried to attract international investors for Welsh business.  That will have been one of the Tories scams to ‘build business’ in Wales, which, as with the development of Cardiff Bay, will have siphoned billions of pounds of taxpayers’ money into the pockets of a few Tory politicians and their mates (see post ‘Corruption Bay Special’). It was in 1990 that Ivor Richard’s name was included on a list of Labour Party ‘Working Peers’, so presumably that was the work of the Windbag.

Ivor Richard was appointed as Leader of the House by Blair when the Waterhouse Inquiry had just got underway. No wonder the fortunes of Professor Fergus Lowe took such a turn upwards at that time (see post ‘Feet In Chains’) with old Ivor leading the House. Deeply, deeply compromised Ivor…

The Coalition Government (it was a Labour-Plaid Coalition) in the National Assembly for Wales invited Ivor Richard to Chair a Commission on the future powers of the Assembly from 2002. The Report was published on 31 March 2004 and recommended that the Assembly have full primary legislative powers in devolved areas from 2011, a recommendation that was controversial with Wales’ Labour MPs. Not that it matters, most of them are paedophiles’ friends anyway.Ivor The Engine - Oliver Postgate & Peter Firmin | Karenza ...

John Heppell was appointed as PPS to the Deputy PM Prezza in 1998. He became a member of Blair’s Gov’t following the 2001 General Election when he was appointed as a Lord Commissioner to the Treasury and Gov’t Whip. Heppell was in there in the aftermath of the Waterhouse Report then and remained in post until 2005. Nice work if you can get it Heppell! While you were doing that, I had been forced out of my teaching job, arrested and charged on the basis of the perjury and conspiracy of an NHS manager and eight or nine Angels, lost my house and job while on bail, witnessed the charges against me withdrawn on the first day of the trial, began a PhD and then finished it. Oh, I fitted in a few modules of an MEd as well – 93% in one assignment.

Brown BottleMargo & Rita: Like The Stranglers? You'll love this!

Professor Brian Brown, witness to Dafydd’s wrongdoing who, after writing to Gwynedd Health Authority about this, was the subject of a murder attempt, in daylight in Nottingham city centre, when Heppell was a Nottingham MP:

All you did Heppell was help Blair conceal a barrel of shit. God how you must all loathe me, what with me making you look so fucking stupid constantly.

Heppell was promoted within the Whips Office, becoming the Vice-Chamberlain of the Household – he really looks the part doesn’t he – following the 2005 General Election. He held this office until June 2007.

Heppell has been married to Eileen Golding since 1974 and they have two sons, a daughter and two grandchildren. Heppell used to have the words love and hate tattooed on his knuckles, but the tattoos have since been removed. It really is unbelievable isn’t it, those we know and love used Brown’s tattoos and piercings as evidence of his undesirability. Brown’s tattoos are Celtic knots etc. Obviously love and hate on one’s knuckles are OK in Cabinet and in the Household but Celtic knots are questionable in a university.

‘I’m a mindless meathead, but it’s OK because I was useful to the Windbag. And then to Tony Blair.’

Here’s an erudite orator in action:Former Chancellor Denis Healey Dies at 98 | Getty Images

Oh dear, my brain hurts:If politics is becoming more about personalities then ...

Heppell is a member of the GMB, having resigned from Prezza’s union in 2002. He is a keen ornithologist. As were my friends when I was an undergrad at Bangor. Including Anne Vernon, who was killed in a car crash after the threats from the Top Doctors came raining down upon my head thick and fast and Pete Jackson, whom I have been told landed a nice little number with the RSPB in return for keeping quiet about what was happening to me.

Ken Clarke is also a birder, as was George Carman QC’s Clerk. Carman was a bent barrister who concealed the Westminster Paedophile Ring. Blair was a pupil barrister of his and Cherie worked in Carman’s Chambers. See posts ‘No Ordinary Methods’ and ‘No Ordinary Methods – Supplementary Post’.

Heppell’s predecessor for Nottingham East was the Tory Michael Knowles. From 1971-1983 Knowles was a member of the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and Leader of the Council, 1974-1983. Professor Hugh Bentall, who spent many years working as a surgeon at Royal Postgraduate Medical School/Hammersmith Hospital participating in the wrongdoing there (see post ‘Interesting Facts’), owned Bentall’s, the upmarket department store in Kingston-upon-Thames. Hugh Bentall ruled the roost at Hammersmith and pretty much ran Kingston-upon-Thames as well. Bentall’s son is Professor Richard Bentall, a clinical psychologist who did his PhD at UCNW (Bangor University) with members of Dafydd’s gang and also worked as an academic at Bangor with them. Richard’s first wife was the daughter of Eifion Jones, who was the Dean of Science at UCNW, while the institution was facilitating Dafydd’s gang. Richard’s former wife trained as an Angel and now works as a complementary therapist and a tutor for the OU.

I imagine that the occasion of the wedding made a gang of old paedophiles and everyone who was sheltering them very happy. In the way that marriages between medieval noble families shored up land, a knot was tied which linked some of the biggest wigs in the corrupt medical establishment in London with the smaller but equally grandiose wigs in north Wales, who were supplying the kids for the friends in high places of the London Top Docs. Just as Mary Wynch began kicking off with her litigation against Dafydd and the paedophile gang.

Professor Hugh Bentall:

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones

Michael Knowles first stood for Parliament for the Labour stronghold of Merthyr Tydfil at the Feb 1974 General Election. There was a trafficking gang in south Wales with links to Dafydd et al in north Wales and other gangs across the UK. This celebrity paedophile lived and represented a constituency just down the road at Cardiff at the time:

In the October 1974 General Election, Michael Knowles was magnetically attracted to another hotbed of child abuse and neglect and fought the seat of Brent East, but was again being defeated. Brent Law Centre was graced by the presence of this Wimmin’s and Children’s Champ:

Harriet Harman

Her bloke grew up in Brent and worked at Brent Law Centre as well:

In 1984 Jasmine Beckford was battered to death while in the care of Brent Social Services.

The MP for Brent South at the time was Laurence Anstice Pavitt, a Labour and Co-Operative Party MP. Pavitt was the national organiser of the Medical Practitioners’ Union, 1956-59. The Top Doctors were deemed to have ‘failed’ regarding Jasmine, along with Brent Social Services. The MP for Brent East at the time of Jasmine’s death was Labour’s Reg Freeson. Mary Turner was a dinner lady who began working in Brent in the 1970s and campaigned tirelessly for Wimmin and Children who had nothing to say about Jasmine’s death which was odd what with Mary being an active trade unionist and a Labour Party activist. Not that remaining schtum about the long slow months of starvation and torture that preceded Jasmine’s death did Mary any harm. She sat on the executive of the GMB and in 1997 became the GMB’s President. Mary bagged a seat on the Labour Party’s NEC in 1996 and became Chair of the Labour Party in 2004.

Mary didn’t have ‘love’ and ‘hate’ tattooed on her knuckles, she had a GMB slogan tattooed on her arm – a permanent commemoration of her and her associates’ callousness and hypocrisy:GMB LEADER SOCKS IT TO MILIBAND | Ian Bone

To return to the Shipley contingent. In 2011, Chris Leslie became Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury. In October 2013, Leslie was appointed as Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury. In May 2015, he was promoted to Shadow Chancellor.

Leslie supported Yvette Cooper in the 2015 Labour leadership election, the wife of his boss since 2011, Ed Balls. Not that Chris Leslie benefited as he had hoped – not only did Yvette not win the leadership, but Ed Balls had lost his seat in the 2015 General Election. Chris must have been really kicking himself, because Jezza won the leadership, after Yvette had been incredibly rude about, as well as to, him. On 12 September 2015, Leslie resigned from the Labour front bench following Jezza’s victory. No problem Chris, a lot of people were very glad to see the back of you and your buddies who threw hissy fits. You lot were the reason why so many people voted for Jezza.

Leslie is a member of the Labour Friends of Israel.

In June 2018 Leslie published a pamphlet through the Social Market Foundation, of which he is a member of the Policy Advisory Board, entitled Centre Ground: Six Values of Mainstream BritainIn August of the same year ‘The Guardian’ reported that ‘many saw the document as laying the intellectual groundwork for a future new [political] party,’. Leslie denied it, although he’s probably hoping that Blair is assembling his troops on the Rhine as I write this.

In February 2005, Chris Leslie married Nicola Murphy, a Spad to Gordon Brown. In which case Chris and Nicola might like to enlighten us all regarding the relationship between Lord Jack McConnell, Jack’s knowledge of what happened to me and other witnesses at the hands of Dafydd and the gang, including my best friend from school who was at Stirling University with Jack  and Jack’s rapid rise to the top of the Scottish Labour Party – all the way to FM, the year after the Waterhouse Report was published. Not bad for a school teacher from Lamlash who had only been an MSP for two years, particularly as Gordon hated Jack’s best mate and mentor, Dennis Canavan (see post ‘Badlands’). Do let us know where Jack found the Holy Grail everyone.

Chris and Nicola got engaged in 2004, which was the year in which there was industrial scale perjury and conspiracy on the part of the NHS and the criminal justice system in an attempt to have me imprisoned.

In April 2016, Nicola Murphy founded Labour Tomorrow, an organisation which funds Labour-connected activists and groups who oppose Jezza as party leader. Oh fuck off Nicola you ruthless bitch.

Chris Leslie’s fellow Saltaire resident Lord Wallace is William John Lawrence Wallace, Baron Wallace of Saltaire, an academic, writer, Liberal Democrat politician. Lord Wallace was a Lord-in-Waiting, 2010-15.

Lord Wallace was off to a flying start for someone who was going to spend his life concealing the Westminster Paedophile Ring because he was born in Leicester. Organised abuse is believed to have been happening in the Leicester area since at least as far back as the 1940s, long before Greville Janner and Frank Beck were busy (see previous posts). Lord Wallace was born in 1941. Greville Janner’s dad Barnett was elected as the Labour MP for Leicester West in 1945, but had been selected as the Labour candidate for that constituency ten years previously. Barnett remained in the seat – although it was renamed – until 1970, when his son Greville succeeded him because Barnett was off to the Lords. Which is exactly the same path that Greville took.

Barnett Janner grew up in Cardiff where he practised as a lawyer. For many years he was active in the Liberal Party and stood as a Liberal Party candidate three times before he joined the Labour Party.

By the 1980s, the abuse ring in Leicester was linked to Dafydd’s gang in north Wales and Top Doctors in Leicester were concealing the crimes of Dafydd et al (see post ‘An Expert From England’).

Barnett was knighted in 1961. Which was when all the action was taking place at Cliveden which later erupted in the form of the Profumo Affair (see post ‘In Memoriam – Bronwen, Lady Astor’). Jeremy Thorpe was busy at that time was well and dear old Lord Louis Mountbatten had just finished being First Sea Lord. Poor old Lord Mountbatten had terrible luck, throughout his time holding senior roles in the Royal Navy and at the Admiralty, he was surrounded by people who spent the rest of their lives concealing organised abuse, including the crimes of Dafydd and the gang. See post ‘The Defence Of The Realm’. Then there are the nasty allegations that old Louis was hanging out at the Kincora Boys’ Home…

William Wallace was educated at Westminster Abbey Choir School – where as a chorister he sang at Lilibet’s Coronation in 1953 – and St Edward’s School, Oxford. Wallace went on to King’s College, Cambridge and as an undergraduate he joined all three political clubs, Conservative, Labour, Liberal. He decided that the Liberal Party was the most attractive and, in 1961, he was elected Vice-President of the Cambridge University Liberal Club, later becoming its President.

After graduating from Cambridge, Wallace spent three years at Cornell University doing his PhD but he actually finished it while in residence at Nuffield College, Oxford. The thesis was on the Liberal Revival, 1955-66. So Wallace knew all about that Party.

During his time at Oxford, Wallace met his future wife, Helen Sarah Rushworth, who was President of the Oxford University Liberal Club. They have two children, Harriet and Edward, both of whom were, like their father, educated at Cambridge.

Wallace began his academic career at the University of Manchester, where he lectured, 1966-1977. Dafydd’s big umbrella Professor Kenneth Rawnsley of Cardiff had, when he was younger, worked at Manchester (see post ‘The Discovery Of A Whole New Galaxy…’) and in 1974, Dafydd’s mate and mentor Dr Bob Hobson migrated from the Maudsley to Manchester University (see post ‘The Mentor’). Dr Tony Francis worked at Manchester University before he relocated to north Wales in the early 1980s (see post ‘Ian Brockington’s Mischief’). Before joining Dafydd’s mates in Manchester, Francis had worked with Dafydd’s mates at the Institute of Psychiatry at the Maudsley and before that he’d worked with Dafydd’s mate Kenneth Rawnsley and his colleagues at Cardiff University. There were linked paedophile/trafficking rings at the Maudsley, in south Wales and in Manchester.

It’s a small world!

Wallace served as Director of Studies of the Royal Institute of International Affairs, 1978-1990. From 1990 to 1995 Wallace was the Walter Hallstein Senior Research Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford. Between 1993-1996, Wallace was a Visiting Professor at the Central European University, where he was involved in setting up the International Relations Department. In 1995 Wallace moved to the LSE, where in 1999 he was given a Chair. He became an Emeritus Professor in 2005. He is Chair of the Advisory Board of LSE IDEAS, a centre for the study of international affairs, diplomacy and grand strategy.

One of Wallace’s doctoral students was Olli Rehn, a Finnish politician, a member of the Centre Party of Finland. Olli is currently the Governor of the Bank of Finland. He served as the Minister of Economic Affairs in Juha Sipila’s Cabinet, as the European Commissioner for Enlargement, 2004-10 and as European Commissioner for Monetary Affairs and the Euro of the European Commission, 2009-14.

Lord Wallace has also been a visiting fellow/Professor in institutions located in the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Greece and Belgium.

In the General Election of 1966, Wallace served as the Liberal Party’s Assistant Press Officer, responsible for Jo Grimond’s press activities. Grimond led the Liberal Party, 1956-67, was succeeded as Leader by Jeremy Thorpe and then led the Party again on an interim basis in 1976 after the little local difficulty with a man called Jeremy Thorpe…

Wallace unsuccessfully contested five parliamentary elections as a Liberal candidate, standing in Huddersfield West in 1970, Manchester Moss Side in Feb 1974 and Oct 1974 and Shipley in 1983 and 1987. Every one of these constituencies hosted abuse gangs linked with Dafydd and co.

Wallace served as a speechwriter for David Steel. David Steel was told about Cyril Smith sexually assaulting boys in care and dismissed it as a matter of Cyril spanking a few bare bottoms no less. Just in case it was rather more worrying than a middle aged politician with an unexplained penchant for visiting children’s homes and spanking the bare bottoms of the boys within – I’m not at all sure that he should have even been doing that Sir David – David Steel struck an agreement with George Carman QC, which led to Carman ensuring that Cyril’s activities were kept out of the national press. Unfortunately a radical newspaper in Rochdale had published details of Cyril and his activity with young boys in the run up to Jeremy Thorpe’s trial for conspiracy and incitement to murder Norman Scott, Thorpe’s former gay lover. David Steel was acutely aware of the damage that the Liberal Party would sustain if Cyril’s innocent hobby involving young boys and their bare bums were to find itself gaining publicity before Thorpe’s trial.

Lord Wallace was Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee, 1977-87. He was co-author of the 1979 Liberal and 1997 Liberal Democrat election manifestos. During the Liberal-SDP Alliance, 1982-87, Wallace was a member of the joint party steering committee.

David Hole, the corrupt MSF rep who worked at St George’s Hospital Medical School during the 1980s and 90s and was one of those members of staff concealing the trafficking rings in north Wales and south London, was an SDP Councillor for Wandsworth. Dr Death of the SDP was personally known to some of the Top Docs in north Wales who were involved with Dafydd’s gang and before Dr Death was elected to the Commons, he trained and then worked as a psychiatrist at Tommy’s, an institution whose staff were concealing abuse as well as Dafydd et al’s criminality in north Wales (see post ‘Dr Death’). Dr Death’s fellow travellers in the Gang Of Four all had previous where concealing the crimes of Dafydd and the paedophiles was concerned (see post ‘We’ve Been Expecting You…’).

In 2004 Lord Wallace became the President of the Yorkshire regional Liberal Democrat Party. In 2005 he returned to the Federal Policy Committee as the Lords representative, serving on several party policy groups. Wallace has also served as Chair of the advisory board of the liberal think tank, CentreForum. Lord Wallace is President of the Liberal Democrat History Group. He took over this position after the death of Conrad Russell in 2004.

Conrad Russell was the son of Bertrand Russell. Bertrand Russell spent his later years living at Penrhyndeudraeth in what is now Gwynedd and was very closely linked to many of those involved with Dafydd’s gang in north Wales (see post ‘The Village’). Russell was sexually abusive himself and there are clues that he may have been abusing his granddaughter Lucy, who was later diagnosed with schizophrenia and burnt herself to death when she was still quite young. Lucy spent a substantial part of her childhood living with Russell after her father – with whom she had a good relationship – was prevented from caring for her himself by Russell on the grounds of his (Lucy’s father’s) own ‘schizophrenia’. One of Lucy’s father’s symptoms was his belief that Russell was having an affair with his wife. Which Russell was. For further details of Russell’s abuse and exploitation of his extended family as well as a few others and information about Conrad Russell, see post ‘So Who Was Angry About What?’

In 1995 Lord Wallace was awarded the French Chevalier, Ordre pour le Merite. In 2005 he was awarded the Legion d’Honneur in recognition of his long-standing efforts to promote the EU.

In April 2010, Wallace courted controversy when he partially defended Jenny Tonge, following an interview she gave to the ‘Jewish Chronicle’, in which she called for an investigation into claims of Israeli organ harvesting in Haiti. Jenny Tonge is a Lib Dem peer who is also a Top Doctor and who married another Top Doctor. Jenny Tonge might have discussed Israeli organ harvesting in Haiti, but there are a great many other things that the Top Docs have got up to that Tonge has not spoken about. See post ‘Always On The Side Of The Children’.

Wallace was created a life peer on 19 December 1995. It was in Dec 1995 that Nicola Davies QC – who later became Dame Nicola – declared, after reviewing the paperwork of the North Wales Police which related to the abuse of children in north Wales (of which many years worth was completely missing anyway), that a Public Inquiry into the abuse of children in care in north Wales would not be in the public interest. Nonetheless, by the time that Nicola stated this, Ronnie Waterhouse seemed to know that he would be Chairing such an Inquiry and had altered his retirement plans. This allowed him to spend a few months in 1995 touring Wales, dining and even staying with many of the people who had asked no questions about the paedophile gang, although they held positions of responsibility in which they should have asked a great many questions. See post ‘Heart Of Darkness’.

In 1995, paedophiles’ friend Professor Roy Evans was appointed VC of Bangor University, after the retirement of the rather better camouflaged paedophiles’ friend Professor Eric Sunderland (see previous posts). Eric was not elderly or ill, he lived for another 20 years, throughout which he served in many public positions and continued his involvement with Bangor University. However, just before he retired, Eric was appointed Chairman of the Local Gov’t Boundary Commission, which determined that Clwyd County Council would be abolished in 1996, weeks after the Jillings Report was submitted, which admitted that children in care in north Wales had been very severely abused for many, many years (see post ‘It’s A Piece Of Cake…’)

More importantly from my point of view, by the time that William Wallace had bagged his peerage, Dafydd and the gang had progressed a long way down the road with their dastardly plan to declare me insane and dangerous and have me banged up in a secure hospital. See previous posts, including  ‘The Banality Of Evil’.

In 1997 Wallace became a member of the Select Committee on the European Communities and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Justice and Home Affairs 1997-2000. In 2001 he became the Liberal Democrats’ main frontbench spokesperson in the Lords on Foreign Affairs and in November 2004, Wallace was elected joint Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Peers.

Following the setting up of the ConDem Coalition after the 2010 General Election, Wallace was appointed a Government Whip acting as Gov’t Spokesperson in the Lords on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Education.

Wallace is a Trustee of the National Children’s Choir; a member of Atlantic Community Advisory Board; Chair of the Board of Voces Cantabiles (professional choir, not-for-profit musical and educational work); is Vice- President of the Upper Wharfedale Agricultural Society; and is a Member and Shareholder of the Wensleydale Railway Association.

In the past Wallace has served as a Board Member of Genius of the Violin; a Chairman of the Academic Advisory Committee and a Trustee of Goodenough College, London; Chair of the Advisory Board of the Cold War Studies Centre, London School of Economics; Co-Chair of the British-Dutch bilateral ‘Appeldoorn’ Conference; was Patron of the Saltaire Festival; and was patron of the Shipley Glen Tramway.

Wallace is a member and plot holder of the Saltaire Canalside Allotment Society. He is also a member of the Saltaire Tennis Club.

Saltaire houses the 1853 art gallery, in which several large rooms are given over to the works of the Bradford-born artist David Hockney. An artist whom I knew in north Wales always maintained that the art world was substantially fuelled by cocaine, champagne and sexual favours and that Hockney himself had spent his entire career at the centre of this. Hockney is of course openly gay which is not of concern. However something which was worrying was the death of Dominic Elliott, Hockney’s 23 yr old assistant, on 18 March 2013. Dominic died as a result of drinking drain cleaner at Hockney’s Bridlington studio; he had also earlier drunk alcohol and taken cocaine, ecstasy and temazepam. Elliott was a first and second team player for Bridlington Rugby Club. It was reported that Hockney’s partner drove Elliott to Scarborough General Hospital where he later died. The inquest returned a verdict of death by misadventure and Hockney was never implicated. In Nov 2015 Hockney sold his house in Bridlington for £625,000, cutting all his remaining ties with the town.

Someone else who was a close colleague of Hilary Benn was Sir Ian McCartney, the Labour MP for Makerfield, Greater Manchester, 1987-2010. McCartney served in the Cabinet, 2003-07, under Blair. When Hilary ran for the Labour Party Deputy Leadership, it was announced that Ian McCartney would be taking a major role in organising Hilary’s campaign.

McCartney was born in Lennoxtown, Stirlingshire, to the Labour MP for Dunbartonshire East, Hugh McCartney and his wife, Margaret, a trade unionist. From 1974, Hugh McCartney represented Dunbartonshire Central, then Clydebank and Milngavie from 1983 after boundary changes. Hugh was a low-profile MP, a Scottish Whip and active in the TGWU and Scottish groups of Labour MPs. He retired from Parliament in 1987 and died in 2006.

Hugh McCartney may have been ‘low profile’, but he’ll have had all the dirt necessary to give to other people who may have been able to use it very effectively.

Hugh and Ian McCartney came from the same neck of the woods as Dennis Canavan and Canavan’s protege, Scotland’s FM Jack McConnell, who both put their knowledge of dirty deals made at the expense of other people to excellent use (see post ‘Badlands’).

Educated at Lenzie Academy, Ian McCartney left the school at the age of 15 ‘under a bit of a cloud’ without any qualifications or school prizes. He led a paper-boys’ strike at the age of fifteen and had a number of jobs after leaving school, including a seaman, a local government manual worker, and a kitchen worker. He was a Councillor for Abram ward, Wigan, 1982-87.

McCartney was elected for Makerfield at the 1987 General Election. Makerfield was on the stomping ground of Dafydd and Tony Francis’s mates who were running the Manchester psychiatric services when McCartney was elected. Which was also when Mary Wynch, Alison Taylor and I would not shut up.

This is a man who was hoping to become PM in June 1987, who knew Tony Francis and was absolutely bloody desperate to keep what was happening in north Wales quiet:

Neil Kinnock

This is his wife, who grew up in Holyhead and who’s parents were personal friends of many of those who colluded with Dafydd and the gang:

Ian McCartney was one of the founders of the All-Party Parliamentary Rugby League Group in 1987 and was its first Chairman. He held a number of positions during Labour’s period in opposition and was variously a Spokesman on Health, Employment, Education and Social Services. In 1994, McCartney ran Prezza’s successful campaign to become Labour’s Deputy Leader. McCartney described himself on his parliamentary notepaper as the ‘Socialist MP for Makerfield’.

McCartney was made Minister of State at the DTI following the 1997 General Election when Labour came to power. While at the DTI he introduced a major package of new employment rights that included whistleblowing protection and the National Minimum Wage and the first-ever right to paid holidays and steered the Competition Act through Parliament. As a former low-paid worker who had been sacked upon asking for a pound pay rise after having a child, McCartney later described the minimum wage as very important to him, saying that he would have ‘died in the ditch’ for it. During this time he was also responsible for employment relations, the Post Office, Company Law and inward investment.

I don’t know what Ian McCartney thought that he had done to protect whistleblowers, but it has been acknowledged that they are afforded no protection at all in the NHS. Furthermore, social care workers are very often paid below the National Minimum Wage.

McCartney was moved to be Minister of State at the Cabinet Office in 1999, where he was responsible for modernising Gov’t and E-Government. In 2001, McCartney became Minister of State for Pensions at the DWP and he was promoted to the Cabinet as Minister Without Portfolio and Party Chair in April 2003.

Between Oct 2004 and Oct 2005, McCartney was Chairman of the Labour Party in two capacities – as the Party Chair (appointed by the party’s leader) with a seat in the Cabinet and as the Chair of the NEC (elected by the members of the NEC). He was also Chair of the Party’s National Policy Forum, which formulates Labour party policy. The NPF also oversaw the ‘Big Conversation’ project, which saw the Labour Gov’t try to consult the general public on the future direction of Party and Gov’t policy. Trusted by both leadership and membership, he was seen as a key link between the Government and the wider Labour movement.

McCartney ‘worked to make the role of Party Chair a voice for Labour Party members within the Labour Government’. As architect of the Warwick Agreement by Labour’s National Policy Forum, he was a key figure in co-ordinating the election manifesto for Labour’s third term General Election campaign. In 2006 McCartney took a three-month leave of absence following heart by-pass surgery. His return to frontline politics was marked by his speech to the Labour Party 2006 Spring Conference in Blackpool. He returned to Gov’t as Minister of State for Trade in May 2006, attending Cabinet, but stepped down in 2007 when Gordon became PM.

Beginning in October 2007 McCartney worked with the construction, engineering and nuclear energy company Fluor, providing them with advice in anti-corruption and business ethics policies; political, economic, environmental and regulatory issues; and outside relations including working with trade unions. After details of this position were published in the Indie, McCartney stated unequivocally that he personally receives none of the remuneration for this role, instead using part of the fee to employ someone in the Commons from his Makerfield constituency. The remainder is used to support the Women’s Interlink Foundation, a charity based in India which rescues street children and disadvantaged women who are exposed to poverty and sometimes at the risk of rape and murder, providing them with clean drinking water, health treatments, housing and education.

In August 2008, after admitting that some of his claims for furnishing his second home were ‘inappropriate,’ McCartney repaid £15,000 of expenses claimed for among other items, a dining table, 18-piece dinner set and champagne glasses. McCartney had asked for the review and although only a portion of the amount was deemed excessive McCartney said he felt strongly that the full amount should be returned. McCartney commented that as a senior Minister he held meetings at home and ‘had to feed guests’.

In May 2009 after stepping down citing health issues, McCartney said his family had urged him to step down following a further bout of illness after his 2005 heart surgery and that he was also being treated for disc injury and was possibly facing further surgery.

McCartney was formerly chair of Healthwatch Wigan, resigning from the post in 2016.

McCartney was married firstly to Jean (née Murray), with whom he had son Hugh and daughters Yvonne and Karen, later divorcing. Hugh died aged 23 of a drugs overdose in 1999 in his flat in Parkhead.

Parkhead is a very run down part of Glasgow, near the site of what used to be the Gorbals. I had the misfortune to be detained – unlawfully of course, why would anyone have ever done anything different – in Parkhead Hospital a few years ago (see previous posts). The Angels at Parkhead made their contempt for the local area clear and stated that they would never live there themselves. At Parkhead I and other patients witnessed staff stealing large quantities of prescription medication and I and other patients were assaulted by the staff. Every law that could be broken was broken and the TV on the ward was picking up subscription only porn channels. The patients had no access to the TV controls, so that was a member of staff who was responsible for that.

When I finally got out of Parkhead, I discovered that the hospital had been due for closure for years but it just hadn’t happened, although it was deemed to be not fit for purpose. Furthermore there had been a number of high profile deaths and scandals at Parkhead. When I was admitted, the walls of my room had blood and human hair on them. I presumed that someone had experienced their head been bashed against the wall just before I arrived. If that was the case, there will have been no investigation into any complaint. I wrote to Scottish Gov’t Ministers when I got out of Parkhead. No action was taken…

I took photos of the dreadful conditions in Parkhead Hospital only to be pursued by an Angel yelling at me that ‘taking photos isn’t allowed’. Just as well for that Angel, because the conditions in that hospital could and should have led to legal action on the part of the patients.

Ian’s son Hugh, known as ‘Shug’, had battled drug addiction since his teenage years. Only recently released from prison, he had been trying to break his habit. In 2002, McCartney gave an interview with the ‘Sunday Herald’ discussing his son’s experiences in the justice system and how he [Ian McCartney] believed ‘the way we deal with addicts sentenced his son to death’.

Scottish Hughs are often called Shugs. The addict with whom Sheena, Lord Jack McConnell’s old friend from Stirling, was in a relationship was a Shug. Sheena was involved with the Shug just after she did everything that she could to destroy my friends’ lives. The friends who had been at Stirling University with Lord Jack and who knew what had happened to me in north Wales. When Sheena was causing chaos, my friends were discussing making a film about what was happening in north Wales, but they were sacked from their jobs at the Royal Television Society and the BBC just after Sheena left the scene, so that never happened (see post ‘Badlands’).

Strange but true

One of those friends pioneered getting the sack as a result of pressure from media big wigs who toadied to corrupt Gov’ts in 1985, when she was working at the Edinburgh Fringe box office and refused to pull strings to bag Samuel Brittan a ticket for the Fringe, when the tickets had sold out anyway. Samuel wrote a very angry letter to his friend who was appalled at my friend’s ‘rudeness’ in refusing to work fiddles for the brother of the Home Secretary who concealed the crimes of Dafydd et al. This was Samuel’s friend – who promised that he’d get Samuel a ticket:

Michael Grade

Yes, it is he, Lord Grade of Shameless Toadying. Who demanded my friend’s head on a plate just when her mum and dad were giving me advice re dealing with the north Wales mental health services (see post ‘The Cry Of The Lunatic’).

Here’s Lord Jack, as he appears on the blog of the Campaign for Human Rights at Glasgow University:

The Campaign for Human Rights at Glasgow Uni: Jack ...

For details of my friends’ experiences at the hands of gangsters just before they came under attack from Sheena and when they were frozen out by other mates of Lord Jack’s, see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’.

My post ‘Badlands’ provided details of the MP who preceded Hilary Benn in the constituency of Leeds Central, Derek Fatchett. I mentioned that Derek Fatchett came to a swift, untimely end at a relatively young age – massive heart attack, a la John Smith and Robin Cook. Derek Fatchett’s PPS, Denis MacShane, is still alive, but Mr MacShane has certainly had his fair share of trouble.

Denis MacShane (born Denis Matyjaszek) was the Labour MP for Rotherham, 1994-2012. He served in the Labour Gov’t as Minister of State for Europe, 2002-05.

Denis MacShane is now notorious because of events of five or six years ago. In Nov 2012, MacShane was suspended from the Labour Party after the Commons Standards and Privileges Committee found that he had submitted 19 false invoices ‘plainly intended to deceive the parliamentary expenses authority’. The same day MacShane announced his intention to resign as MP for Rotherham. In Nov 2013 MacShane pleaded guilty to false accounting at the Old Bailey, by submitting false receipts for £12,900. On 23 Dec 2013 Mr Justice Sweeney (Sir Nigel Sweeney) sentenced MacShane to six months in prison. He served his sentence in HM Belmarsh Prison and HM Brixton and subsequently by wearing an electronic tag.

MacShane was born in Glasgow to an Irish mother, Isobel MacShane and Jozef Matyjaszek, a Pole who had fought in WWII and who took British nationality in 1950.

MacShane was educated at the independent St Benedict’s School in Ealing, before going on to Merton College, Oxford. He worked for the BBC, 1969-77, including as a newsreader and reporter for BBC Radio Birmingham. He changed his surname to his mother’s maiden name at the request of his employers. He was fired by the BBC after using a fake name to call the radio phone-in programme he worked on at the time. During the call, MacShane accused Tory MP Reginald Maudling of being a crook, with the MP threatening to sue as a result. Maudling served as Chancellor of the Exchequer in Macmillans’s Gov’t and as Home Secretary under Heath. Maudling’s career ended because it was crystal clear that he was indeed a crook. Maudling was involved with John Poulson and his large scale corruption; Poulson in turn was linked to T. Dan Smith and his huge corrupt empire which began in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and ended up stretching as far as London. Poulson has latterly been alleged to have been involved with the paedophile/trafficking ring in Yorkshire. See previous posts for more information on Reggie Maudling.

MacShane supported Solidarity in Poland, where he was arrested in 1982 for attending a demo and deported. He became an activist for the NUJ and later its President, 1978-79. MacShane was Policy Director of the International Metal Workers’ Federation, from 1980-92. He completed a PhD at Birkbeck in 1990.

MacShane first contested a parliamentary seat at the Oct 1974 General Election, when he failed to win Solihull. In 1984, he was shortlisted for the post of Labour Party Communications Director, but Mandy was appointed instead. For the 1992 General Election, MacShane attempted to secure a nomination for Coventry South East, Neath and Rotherham – all the attempts were unsuccessful.

This suggests that the knives were out for MacShane when the Windbag was on the throne.

MacShane was elected to the Commons for Rotherham in 1994. He was a member of the Deregulation Select Committee, 1996-97 and served as PPS to a succession of ministers in the 1997-2001 Parliament. MacShane was appointed junior Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in June 2001, with responsibility for the Balkans and Latin America. He caused embarrassment to the Gov’t in 2002 by describing Hugo Chavez as a ‘ranting, populist demagogue’ and compared him to Mussolini. Afterwards, MacShane had to make clear that the British Gov’t did deplore the attempted coup to remove the democratically elected Chavez, which had prompted MacShane’s comments.

In November 2001, an article was published in ‘The Observer’ under Khalid Mahmood’s name supportive of the war in Afghanistan headlined ‘The Five Myths Muslims Must Deny’. A few days later however, it was revealed that it had not in fact been written by Mahmood, but by MacShane; Mahmood had agreed to put his name to the article after Lord Ahmed of Rotherham had refused to. Mahmood’s actions were condemned by Inyat Bunglawala from the Muslin Council of Britain, who said, ‘MacShane then found Mahmood – universally regarded as being not exactly the brightest spark in parliament – to be a more willing instrument for his scheme’.

In 2002, MacShane became Minister for Europe in a reshuffle. After the 2005 General Election MacShane was dropped from the Gov’t. His position was considered to be untenable after comments he made to a meeting of Durham Labour Students in which he described Gordon Brown’s five economic tests for joining the European single currency as, ‘a bit of a giant red herring’.

When contacted by ‘The Scotsman’ about whether or not he made the comments MacShane responded: ‘Jesus Christ, no. I mean, ‘red herring’ is not one of my favourite metaphors. If you think any Labour MP saying the Prime Minister’s most important policy is a red herring, then they would not survive long in the job.’ He had been recorded on a dictaphone, and the tape was played on both the ‘Today’ programme and BBC News 24. MacShane wrote in ‘Tribune’ ‘I have no idea why I was removed as a Minister and it does not worry me in the slightest.’

MacShane was appointed a member of the Privy Council in 2005 but resigned his membership in 2013.

MacShane has been involved in other foreign relations fields, including in relation to the Middle East. He was a member of Labour Friends of Israel Policy Council for many years. In 2003, he criticised Muslim community leaders, saying they did not do enough to condemn acts of Islamic terrorism.

MacShane was a supporter of the 2003 invasion of Iraq and strongly supported Blair’s foreign policy in relation to the Middle East and elsewhere. In 2005, he signed on to the Henry Jackson Society principles, advocating a proactive approach to the spread of liberal democracy across the world, including by military intervention. The society also supports ‘European military modernisation and integration under British leadership’. After returning to the backbenches in 2005, MacShane was appointed as a delegate to the Council of Europe and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Another issue on which MacShane was active as a parliamentarian was combating anti-semitism. He was Chair of the inquiry panel of the All-Party Parliamentary Group against Anti-Semitism, which reported in September 2006. In March 2009, MacShane became Chairman of a think-tank on antisemitism, the European Institute for the Study of Contemporary Anti-semitism.

MacShane was an advisory board member of the now defunct Just Journalism, a pro-Israeli media advocacy group which presented itself as a neutral voice monitoring reports about Israel in the UK media. Just Journalism had strong links with the Henry Jackson Society and shared an office with it.

After MacShane was forced to resign his seat, the ‘Jewish Chronicle’ wrote that his ‘fall from grace has been a blow for those who share his concerns about extremist politics, whether it is radical Islamism in the Middle East, neo-fascism at home or the rise of ultranationalist groups in Eastern Europe.’ In Nov 2013, Bright described MacShane as ‘one of’ the Jewish community’s ‘greatest champions’.

MacShane has been accused of repeatedly using false statistics in order to inflate the number of female victims of sex trafficking. In Jan 2007, he stated, ‘According to Home Office estimates, 25,000 sex slaves currently work in the massage parlours and brothels of Britain.’ MacShane repeated the figure in a 2008 debate, attributing it to the ‘Daily Mirror’. It was later claimed that no such figure exists as an estimate.

No-one actually knows how many female victims of sex trafficking there are. There is evidence that in some contexts there could have been inflation of the figures, because in order to gain protection from deportation/prosecution, some sex workers claimed to have been trafficked when they were not. However, there has been for many years not only massive collusion by all parts of the state with the sort of trafficking gangs that Dafydd facilitated, but a flat denial that those gangs existed. They did exist, by the 1980s they had linked up right across the UK and were operating on a pan-European level and no-one, no-one at all would help their targets. I can only imagine what the true state of affairs is now. Everyone is entirely in the dark, because no Gov’t has ever been honest about the scale of organised abuse/sex trafficking in the UK. Even today, the problem is only ever discussed in terms of South Asian criminal gangs targeting off-the-rails white working class girls or ‘slaves’ from Foreign Parts. Cartel of Top Doctors targeting university students who had the misfortune to become ill and then killing any witnesses? Don’t be ridiculous. Furthermore when they said no they meant yes. As Dafydd will confirm.

On 17 Dec 2008, MacShane initiated a debate about Britain’s libel laws in Parliament. Specifically, he described how the UK has become a destination for libel tourists as well as how various jurisdictions in the US were ready to pass measures designed to halt, at the minimum, reciprocal enforcement of civil judgments related to libel with the UK and quite possibly, to allow countersuit and the award of treble damages in the US against any person bringing a libel action in a non-US court against US publications or websites.

On 25 Aug 2010, The Guardian reported that MacShane admitted he was the MP involved in an incident with a volunteer with the new Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority: ‘On 11 May a volunteer had an encounter with an MP who was described as ‘very difficult … disruptive [and] angry’ during an induction session. The official report said: ‘At the 10 minute mark the volunteer burst into tears and a staff member [from Ipsa] attempted to intervene. When the staff member offered to help, the MP dismissed him as ‘condescending’, at which point another staff member pulled the volunteer (still in tears) out of the session.’ MacShane apologised for his conduct.

MacShane was publicly criticised by the Association of Political Thought for wrongly accusing the LSE Professor of Political and Gender Theory Anne Phillips of supporting prostitution and filling the minds of her students with ‘poisonous drivel’. As evidence of her supposed support for the latter, he cited a question from an LSE reading list about the ethical differences between legal waged labour and prostitution. MacShane later admitted that he had taken the question ‘out of context’. Labour MP Fiona Mactaggart subsequently called Professor Phillips’ views ‘frankly nauseating’ on the basis of the same evidence.

MacShane was a Patron of Supporters of Nuclear Energy and supported the development of a nuclear industry manufacturing centre in Rotherham. MacShane was employed as an adviser by United Utilities, Britain’s largest water company, during 2006 and 2007.

MacShane was MP for Rotherham during the period of large scale sexual abuse of children in the constituency. After the publication of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation in Rotherham he said in a BBC radio interview that no-one had come to him with child abuse allegations during that period, but that he should have been more involved in the issue. Saying that he had done too little, he said he had been aware of what he saw as the problems of cousin marriage and the oppression of women within parts of the Muslim community in Britain, but: ‘Perhaps yes, as a true Guardian reader and liberal leftie, I suppose I didn’t want to raise that too hard. I think there was a culture of not wanting to rock the multicultural community boat if I may put it like that.’

In which case MacShane had done exactly what thousands of other people had done when anyone mentioned what was happening in some northern towns.

As part of the review of all MPs expenses, MacShane was ordered to repay £1,507.73 in wrongfully claimed expenses, with his appeals against the ruling being rejected. He was also alleged to have passed twelve invoices from the ‘European Policy Institute’ for ‘research and translation’ expenses to the parliamentary authorities and claimed for eight laptop computers in three years. A number of newspapers stated that the EPI was ‘controlled’ by MacShane’s brother, Edmund Matyjaszek, a claim which MacShane denied: ‘The EPI was set up 20 years ago by a network of people on the Left working in Europe and the US… Ed is my Brother, but simply administrates it.’

MacShane had previously written an article for ‘The Guardian’ in which he played down the expenses scandal, writing, ‘There will come a moment when moats and manure, bath plugs and tampons will be seen as a wonderful moment of British fiddling, but more on a Dad’s Army scale than the real corruption of politics.’

I think that MacShane’s perception is badly wrong, the public were outraged at what MPs had been getting away with. Yes, the duck house and the moat cleaning did cause a lot of hilarity, but nonetheless what had been going on was shameless and revealed just what a shocking bunch inhabited the Commons. No-one else in the UK could have claimed for a duck house, or the cleaning of a moat or for their tampons on work-related expenses. While those troughing bastards did that, I knew Empowered Service Users in north Wales who were genuinely too poor to afford dentistry and specs and I knew of one Empowered Service User who was having to skimp on the groceries to buy sanitary towels.

Neither was it just the Empowered Service Users who were faced with such harsh economic realities. In the 1980s and 90s, the bus which ran between Bethesda, Rachub and Bangor – which was packed at peak hours because there were so many people without cars – made a special stop at Kwik Save in Bangor, because it was by far the most popular shop with those on the bus who had families. Kwik Save had their own brand, ‘No Frills’. I was very short of money myself but I didn’t frequent Kwik Save because from what I could see, the No Frills line was substantially crisps, fizzy drinks, burgers etc, whereas I went for cheap ingredients to make meals. I had a close friend who was also an Empowered Service User, but unlike most of the rest of us, she was financially well-off, being married to a local successful businessman. My friend was a real laugh – she derived endless entertainment from Dafydd – and just constantly took the piss out of the bizarre world in which we found ourselves. One of the things that she was particularly interested in were the No Frills sanitary towels. She maintained that they summed up life in Bethesda. I could see the joke, but the reality was that there was a run on the No Frills sanitary towels because so many people living in and around Bangor were just so fucking poor that other options were unavailable to them.

My friend later split up with her husband and he came unstuck in a serious way. He acquired a much younger girlfriend, whom it transpired was a heroin addict. She lied, swindled, was severely emotionally abusive and he ended up penniless, having lost his business. This man was a solid Tory who had won the Queen’s Award for Industry. The young woman who ruined him was known to the drug treatment team in the Rhyl area. Who were agents of Dafydd. I’ve done a bit of triangulation of evidence. That man was targeted by an addict who would never normally have made a bee line for a middle aged Tory businessman. He had a weakness for young women and also had various psychological problems which made him particularly vulnerable. The mental health services knew about them, because it was his behaviour within the family that caused his wife such distress that she ended up in the hands of the Hergest Unit.

When my friend and her husband split up, they lost a lot of money on the sale of their house. They wanted a quick sale because of the fraught domestic situation and did get an offer as soon as they advertised the house, but those who bought the house drove a hard bargain. Who were they? Two Angels from the Hergest Unit, Lena and Jim Henry. Lena Henry ended up as the senior Angel who ran the Hergest Unit when it finally hit the buffers some 15 years ago and was deemed by many GPs as being far too dangerous to which to refer patients. Lena and Jim knew about my friend’s domestic situation, because one of them had been involved in her ‘care’ when she was an in-patient. Never mind confidentiality, let’s just use the info that we have gained during the course of our work to grab all that we can. Lena and Jim told their friends that they’d always liked my friend’s house but never thought that they could afford it. They also gossiped about my friend’s personal situation to third parties.

Lena’s sister Gwen Hughes worked as a secretary in the School of Education at Bangor University and felt able to tell other members of staff that she ‘knew all about’ me, because her sister ‘was a senior nurse at the Hergest Unit’. That’s right Gwen, she worked with a trafficking ring who murdered witnesses. Lena was someone who repeatedly perjured herself, which resulted in my arrest on two occasions.

Jim Henry used to work at Neuadd Deiniol, a truly appalling ‘nursing home’ in Bangor, owned by a crook called Tindall (see post ‘Feet In Chains’), which housed patients of Dafydd’s. Dafydd used to take his kids along to Neuadd Deiniol, where they insulted the patients and helped themselves to the food from the kitchen.

One man at Neuadd Deiniol was found dead after having choked on a ham sandwich. He was supposedly being observed every 20 mins. His dead body wasn’t discovered for an hour.

I witnessed Jim Henry use physical force to prevent a deeply distressed teenaged girl trying to walk out of Seiriol Ward, one of the psych wards in Ysbyty Gwynedd which pre-dated the Hergest Unit. She was sectioned ‘for her own safety’. After she was sectioned, a patient with drug problems – so he would have been one of Dafydd’s – who had spent the whole morning threatening female patients, walked up to the teenager and unprovoked, punched her in the face. Afterwards, she spent hours sitting on her bed crying. The assault was not reported to the police or to her parents, but an Angel called Mal Hendy, who lived in Bethesda and who knew many of the hippyish/alternative crowd socially, did sit next to her for 30 mins or so, presumably lest she received another punch in the face from Dafydd’s mate. This young woman’s assailant was very aggressive to the Angels as well, they did not like him. He used to shout at them that he wasn’t a fucking mental case, he just had addiction problems and he wanted a house and wouldn’t be leaving the ward until he got one and he wasn’t going in a fucking hostel either. He was quite right as well, that git stayed for free B&B until someone did indeed find a nice little North Wales Housing Association place for him, while other people were discharged to destitution if they said no to Neuadd Deiniol.

Jim Henry always knew what was best for distressed female Empowered Service Users. When he worked at the Hergest Unit, there was a lady of about 60 who had a drink problem and had been admitted with severe depression, who most unreasonably tried to walk around the garden where patients used to sit and feed the pigeons. Jim didn’t want the lady to walk around the garden, God knows why not, but he repeatedly told her not to do so. She did insist on walking around the garden, so Jim grabbed hold of her and hung onto her for a good 30 mins while he chatted to the other Angels, repeatedly interrupting his own conversation to tell her ‘you are NOT going to walk around that garden’. The lady was soon discharged and a few months later was found dead. The Hergest staff comforted themselves by telling each other that she had been an alkie for most of her life.

Jim Henry was Scottish and liked a drink himself. Jim liked a flutter on the horses as well. In fact when I was on Bangor railway station one day, I came across Jim and a big gang of Angels from Ysbyty Gwynedd, pissed out of their heads, in their Sunday Best, just having come back from the races at Chester.

Like many of the psych Angels in north Wales, Jim wasn’t what you’d call cultured, but he was proud that he’d done his Training as an Angel. Someone once told me that before Jim did his Training, he didn’t have a stable job and got by with a bit of ‘ducking and diving’. I suspect that was a euphemism for ‘being a petty criminal’.

Back in the mid-1990s, Jim and Lena’s favourite hang-out in Bangor was a pub called, most appropriately, Angels Bar, in Bangor. On a summer evening, the Empowered Service Users could walk past Angels – Neuadd Deiniol was just further down the road – and see Jim, Lena and the other Angels getting bladdered and enjoying a smoke.

I bet that Lena never purchased No Frills sanitary towels.

To return to my friend whom Lena and Jim gossiped about and relieved of a house on their own very favourable terms. She moved away from Bangor and ended up with a very happy existence. Her husband didn’t of course, the addict known to Dafydd and the ‘drugs team’ wrecked his life. This was just after the Waterhouse Report had been published.

Christ Almighty there’s a witness out there who isn’t a former kid in care, isn’t an Empowered Service User, hasn’t got a criminal record, OH SHIT he’s a Tory-voting successful businessman who met Thatcher and won the Queen’s Award for Industry, we’d better fix that and fast, now what was it that his wife told us about him when she was so distressed that she ended up being admitted to hospital…We’ll just access those medical records and don’t Lena and Jim know the family as well???

Er – so why did Lena Henry, just another not very good Angel who assisted a paedophile gang along with many other not very good Angels who also assisted a paedophile gang, end up in an NHS management position in which she failed as dismally as all of her colleagues?

Perhaps Gwen Hughes, Lena’s sister who worked as a secretary at Bangor University, who knew all about me, could enlighten us.

The Top Doctors hadn’t finished with my friend’s family once they’d destroyed her former husband.  My friend had two children and she was particularly close to her eldest daughter. Her daughter knew me, knew how we were all treated by Dafydd et al and when she was doing A levels, she had worked at Neuadd Deiniol and told her mum how badly the patients were treated there. Years later my friend’s daughter qualified as a teacher. A Top Doc from north Wales contacted the authorities and declared her unfit to teach because she had, as a teenager, suffered from bulimia and therefore she ‘might run out of the classroom to make herself sick’.

That’s nothing. According to the corrupt expert witness Robert Kehoe, I was unfit to teach because I might set fire to the school if I had a row with another teacher. Well I did that on a daily basis didn’t I, I expect that I did that when I worked at Bangor University as well, perhaps Gwen Hughes would like to make a police statement providing full details.

Gwen’s statement could be backed up by a statement from Professor Colin Baker aka Toad, who’s wife worked at Ysbyty Gwynedd. Toad was a Professor in the School of Education at Bangor who, serving as Professor Fungus Lowe’s loyal assistant, implemented the plan to force my PhD supervisor out of his job as soon as I finished my PhD. Someone else suffered as a result of Toad’s desperation to blacklist anyone who worked with me as well. When I was doing my PhD, I got to know the VC’s secretary quite well, because she had just finished her degree in social sciences and was interested in doing a PhD on a topic related to my PhD. So she asked me if I could help supervise her and we discussed writing a paper together to get her off the ground. She told Toad that she was thinking of doing this and for some reason Toad told her that my academic background was unsuitable for her to be working with me and he recommended that she work with the crook, plagiarist and former social worker with Dafydd’s gang, Dr Duckula Morris, instead (see eg. post ‘Badlands’ for just a little of what Duckula got up to).

The VC’s secretary took Toad’s advice – well Toad was a Professor of Education who was suddenly taking an interest in her career. Within three months, this secretary had fallen out with the VC in a big way and handed in her resignation. I never quite worked out what the row was about, because she’d worked as his secretary for years, well before he was appointed as VC and always told me that he was a wonderful boss, the best in the University.
Cat Burglar by doctor-morbius on DeviantArt

The VC’s secretary left her job at the University, her ambitions to do a PhD were abandoned and she took another job. I bumped into her about two years later in Spar in Penygroes. She told me that leaving her job at the University was the biggest mistake that she had ever made, the wonderful new job that she had been offered when she resigned from the University had turned out to be a bloody nightmare and she had never worked with such twisted people in her life. She subsequently resigned. The VC’s secretary had left the University to work as a senior secretary with Gwynedd Social Services.

Strange but true

As for Duckula, who was so highly recommended to the VC’s secretary by Toad, Duckula’s own PhD student failed his viva and had to rewrite. The external examiner made it clear that his supervision had been nowhere near appropriate. Duckula had ‘supervised’ Cynog single handedly. Other people knew that Duckula didn’t know her arse from her elbow and that he was heading for a crash, but she wouldn’t take advice from anyone and screamed at them to keep away from Cynog.

Perhaps Toad’s finest hour came when it was discovered one year that the exam results from Bangor Law School were so bad that more than half of the students had failed. So in his capacity as PVC for Teaching and Learning, Toad ordered that all results should upgraded to ensure that everyone passed. At the time, law graduates at Bangor were being blacklisted by law firms because of concerns regarding practices and low standards at Bangor Law School.

Nice work Toad, several careers ruined out of your loyalty to a paedophile gang and a load of people given law degrees that they later found were worthless.

I witnessed Toad give a welcome speech to one intake of new students at Bangor during which he stressed that although students now pay high tutition fees and allegations were appearing in the media that universities were selling degrees, no-one bought a degree from Bangor University. Except of course if one was a student in the Law School, a PhD student in the Business School, an Angel doing a PhD in the School of Healthcare Sciences…. I could continue but I’ll leave the anecdotes for another post, should the paedophiles’ friends carry on screaming and stamping their feet.

Toad was a Professor of Education who did his first degree in the Psychology Dept in Bangor. Which at the time was ruled by Dafydd. Dafydd’s daughter Dwynwen completed a PhD in Psychology at Bangor although the results of her first degree were too poor for her to be offered a place to undertake a PhD. Dafydd had a word…

Town Called Malice
Jam-towncalledmalice1.jpg

In 2008, Denis MacShane supported Speaker Michael Martin, calling for Conservative MP Douglas Carswell to be disciplined for saying that Martin aka Gorbals Mick should resign for failing to do enough to prevent the abuse of parliamentary expense claims.

MacShane was suspended by the Labour Party as a result of questions raised over his own expenses claims and re-admitted in July 2012, but was then suspended again on 2 November 2012 after a parliamentary committee found that he had submitted 19 false invoices for expenses that were ‘plainly intended to deceive. Later that day, MacShane announced that he would be resigning from Parliament.

It was reported on 14 October 2010 that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards had referred an expenses-related complaint about MacShane from the BNP to the Metropolitan Police. The matter referred was his claiming of expenses totalling £125,000 for his constituency office, the office being his garage. The Labour Party suspended MacShane from the PLP pending the outcome.

In June 2011, the Torygraph highlighted further discrepancies in MacShane’s expenses which had been uncovered by former independent candidate Peter Thirlwall. As a result, MacShane held an emergency meeting with House of Commons officials and agreed to repay a further £3,051.38. The lengthy investigation concluded on 4 July 2012 with an announcement that the Met would take no further action,  but it was reported on 21 Jan 2013 that the police were to re-open the expenses claims investigation involving MacShane.

On 11 July 2013 the CPS announced that MacShane would be charged with false accounting involving the creation of £12,900 of fake receipts. He continued to write columns for ‘The Guardian’ as well as appearing on television programmes relating to European affairs both in Britain and in other European countries. On 18 November 2013 MacShane pleaded guilty to false accounting at the Old Bailey and on 23 Dec 2013, he was jailed for six months. When he was released from prison, MacShane was tagged electronically.

In 2014, Denis MacShane was forcibly ejected from the premises of the European Parliament for ‘loitering’.

I don’t think that MacShane has always conducted himself as he should have and I found the en masse swindling of the Parliamentary expenses system very unacceptable. However, throughout his whole career, MacShane does not seem to have behaved any worse than many other MPs, some of whom have been rewarded with peerages. Even MacShane’s abuse of the expenses system was no worse than that of some of his colleagues, yet he was the only MP who went to prison. Furthermore, MacShane went to Belmarsh. A high security prison which houses people convicted of terrorist offences. Since when has fiddling expenses equated to terrorism?

The incident in 2010 when MacShane was accused of causing a volunteer for the IPSA distress, could have been a result of MacShane behaving dreadfully and really upsetting someone. Or that young woman might have been doing what the Angels of north Wales have been doing for decades in the face of patients who challenge their abuse of patients – turning on the taps and maintaining that they’ll never recover from this trauma.

As for the 2014 occasion on which MacShane was ejected from the premises of the European Parliament for ‘loitering’ – was MacShane doing anything other than loitering? Presumably not, or we’d have heard about it. Since when has loitering justified being physically chucked out of somewhere, unless MacShane was loitering in the ladies loos? That European Parliament will be enormous, with loads of people coming and going, MacShane doing a bit of loitering will barely have been noticeable.

I get the impression that someone somewhere really has it in for Denis MacShane and they have had it in for him for a very long time and in a very big way.

Denis has had a great deal of bad luck in his personal life as well. From 1975 to 1981, MacShane had a relationship with broadcaster Carol Barnes. Their daughter, Clare Barnes, died in March 2004 after her parachute failed to open on her 200th skydiving jump in Australia. MacShane married Liliana Kłaptoć, originally from Poland, in 1983, but the relationship lasted only a few years. In 1987, he married Nathalie Pham. They divorced in 2003. His relationship with feminist journo Joan Smith ended in 2010 after seven years. In 2012, he began a relationship with the economist Vicky Pryce, who had been married to the former Energy Secretary Chris Huhne.

Vicky and Chris were famously jailed some years ago. Vicky had wanted to see her husband in serious trouble after a marital bust-up and had been greatly assisted in her criminality by Constance Briscoe aka Miss Pissabed, a Black Woman Barrister who made her name by writing a misery memoir about her child abuse at the hands of her mother. Her mother maintained that the story was complete fantasy and sued Miss Pissabed for libel. Miss Pissabed’s mother lost the case and Miss Pissabed flogged yet more interviews about her Journey.

Pissabed also carried out a citizens arrest on a London cabbie whom she maintained had been so angered at the sight of a Well Dressed Black Woman that he had yelled at her that she was a ‘black cunt’. The cabbie denied that he had ever done any such thing. My thoughts on reading the story were that well-dressed black women are not at all unusual in London, cabbies make a good living out of carting them around for exorbitant fares and it was certainly fortunate that after being insulted by the cabbie, Miss Pissabed was able to hop straight into the cab behind, pursue the offensive cabbie through the congested streets of London, catch up with him and perform a citizen’s arrest.

Miss Pissabed was a friend and neighbour of Vicky Pryce’s and agreed to help ensure that Chris Huhne, Vicky’s husband and a Lib Dem MP, was charged with a criminal offence after Chris had an affair. Everyone was subsequently caught and jailed, including Miss Pissabed. Miss Pissabed is no longer a barrister or judge – Miss Pissabed had specialised in children’s and mental health cases, who had maxed out on her position as being the nearest thing to an Empowered Service User that the judiciary could produce. Miss Pissabed knew a great deal about child abuse and mental health law and not because she had been a Victim. Miss Pissabed found out all about Dafydd et al because Miss Pissabed had as a whippersnapper worked at Took’s Court, with Michael Mansfield and his Radical Conscience. Who ignored what I told him was happening to me in north Wales in 1993.

Miss Pissabed grew up in Camberwell, where the trafficking gang facilitated by Dafydd’s mates at the Maudsley operated. She did her law degree at Newcastle, the hub of another gang linked to Dafydd et al.

After leaving prison, Vicky Pryce wrote a prison memoir about being an Oppressed Woman which dwelt on the friendship that she found among other inmates and the unacceptability of prison issue knickers. Vicky returned to her former job as a Gov’t economist and was on the ‘Today’ programme within weeks of being released from prison. Vicky initially stated that she wrote her memoir because she was going to campaign on behalf of prisoners, but that seems to have been forgotten now.

The world agreed that Chris Huhne was a Bastard, what with having an extra-marital affair with a woman who was bisexual.

Miss Pissabed was released early from prison but at least the ‘Daily Mail’ have stopped publishing interviews with her about her extensive cosmetic surgery and expensive clothes in which she was described as a ‘role model’.

See previous posts for further information about the phenomenon which is Miss Pissabed.

MacShane’s partner Carol Lesley Barnes was a TV newsreader and broadcaster who worked for ITN, 1975-2004. Carol was born in Norwich and attended St Martin-in-the-Fields School for Girls, Tulse Hill, London. She left school at the age of 16, taking a number of jobs for a year, before leaving to study for A levels at a local poly. Carol graduated from Sheffield University and then completed a PGCE at Birmingham University.

Carol started her working life as a supply teacher, but decided to switch to a career in media and held various posts including PR officer for the Royal Court Theatre in London and sub-editor on ‘Time Out’, before moving into broadcasting, working for Independent Radio News. She was one of the original news team members at the launch of LBC in 1973 and then worked as a reporter for BBC Radio 4 for a year, before joining ITN in 1975. During her time as an ITN reporter, Carol covered the Troubles in N Ireland and the Brixton riots in 1981. She made her name as a reporter with ITN on the lunchtime news in the late 1970s, but her first stint as a newscaster came in March 1980 when she was a presenter on the News at 5:45. Carol was a regular presenter on the ITN Lunchtime News and ITN’s weekend news bulletins, July 1985 -March 1989 and then again, Jan 1991-1998. During the intervening period, she was a presenter of the Channel 4 Daily breakfast programme. Carol regularly fronted the ITN flagship News at Ten programme, as well as other current affairs programmes. Barnes left ITN in 1999 and then returned in 2003 to work on their short-lived 24-hour ITV News Channel until she left in 2004.

Carol Barnes will have known about the Westminster Paedophile Ring, including Kincora and Dafydd’s involvement and links with it all. Furthermore, she’ll have acquired a great deal of information about the corruption and serious criminality involved when she was in a relationship with Denis MacShane.

No wonder someone really hates Denis.

Denis ended up being investigated by the Met for doing no more than many other MPs had done in 2012. By which time Operation Pallial was re-investigating the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal and the Macur Review of the Waterhouse Inquiry was on the way.

Tony Francis killed himself in 2012.

In 2013 Denis was imprisoned. By which time I had been illegally incarcerated at Parkhead Hospital and then transferred to the Heddfan Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Unlawfully and unnecessarily.

Carol’s daughter from her relationship with Denis died in that skydiving accident in March 2004. Which was just about when I appeared in court for ‘threats to kill’ – the charges were withdrawn on the first day of the trial. My documents show that numerous people committed perjury and conspiracy in an attempt to have me imprisoned.

Carol also had a son James, after she married ITN cameraman Nigel Thomson.

Carol lived in Brighton, the location of John Allen’s brothels, to which he trafficked children in care from north Wales. The firebomb which killed five witnesses to the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal was thrown into a building in Brighton in April 1992 (see post ‘The Silence Of The Welsh Lambs’). Carol became a local magistrate in 1999, until forced to stand down after being convicted of a drink-driving offence in 2004, shortly after her daughter’s death. A lot of people will have been waiting for an excuse to get Carol off of that bench and I know magistrates who have done rather worse than driving when drunk.

On 4 March 2008, it was reported that Carol Barnes had suffered a life-threatening stroke that had left her in a coma. The Top Doctors did not expect her to recover and several of her closest friends also voiced these fears.  Her son James gave doctors permission to switch off her life support system after they had warned him that there was no ‘reasonable hope’ that she would recover. While Barnes was dying in hospital, her London flat was burgled.

I know a few people who have recovered from conditions after the Top Docs maintained categorically that they never would.

I’m sure that Brown knows that if a Top Doc ever asks him if they can turn off my life support machine, I want him to say NO, because the Top Docs cannot be believed, particularly in the case of witnesses to the crimes of Dafydd and the gang….

After Carol Barnes died, ‘The Argus’ newspaper in Brighton named their Courageous Child of the Year Award after her. The Carol Barnes Courageous Child of the Year Award is one of around 20 awards given to ‘unsung yet deserving heroes of Sussex’ at an annual ceremony, hosted by the newspaper.

The 1992 Brighton firebomb did receive coverage in the local press but the questions which needed asking never were asked. Presumably the Courageous Children who work in the media didn’t want to find that their parachutes failed to open or that the Top Docs were going to switch their life support machines off.

After my ‘threats to kill’ trial collapsed in 2004, the North West Wales NHS Trust unlawfully refused to treat me for any condition and had me arrested on every occasion on which I sought medical help. The Trust refused to refer me to anywhere else. Witness statements were submitted by members of the public who knew that this was happening. The statements were ignored and those witnesses were then threatened by NHS staff as well. CCTV footage of a Senior Angel in Ysbyty Gwynedd A&E, Stephen Gallagher, which showed Gallagher screaming at me, threatening me, refusing to treat me and calling the police although I had not committed any crime, was destroyed by Martin Jones, the Chief Exec of the North West Wales NHS Trust. The Welsh Gov’t knew about all these events and received much documentary evidence. No action was ever taken against anyone. See previous posts.

I was subjected to Gallagher’s onslaught some six hours after my father died. He died very slowly and very painfully at the hands of the Top Docs in Somerset. My best friend from school, who knew what happened to me at the hands of Dafydd et al, gave birth to her first baby in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, where my father died. Her baby died shortly after birth. She was told by an independent obstetrician that her baby undoubtedly died as a result of negligence but that the staff were all going to lie if she took legal action. My friend invited the family GP to her baby’s funeral. After the funeral he told her husband that she ‘was not good breeding material’.

Dr Johnson of Cannington Health Centre, you are so fucking twisted that you ought to relocate to north Wales, they’d welcome you with open arms.

Carol Barnes’s son James hasn’t died in an unfortunate accident – at least not yet – but he’s certainly had his fair share of difficulties. An interview with James published by the ‘Evening Standard’ explained that James ended up in serious trouble shortly after Carol’s death. James had organised a memorial service for his mum for which ITN had told him that they would foot the bill. However James overspent, there was a row and James went out on the town in Brighton and got bladdered. After leaving a nightclub with a friend, they tried to re-enter when they realised that they had left their jackets behind. They were refused entry by the bouncer, who maintained that James carried out an ‘extremely violent and unprovoked assault’ on him. The police were called and James was then charged with assaulting two female police officers who were ‘injured’ by James when he ‘resisted arrest’. James maintained that he was distraught after his mum’s death, drunk and didn’t mean to assault anyone, let alone two women – according to James, it was a case of him in a scrum with five police officers and legs and arms flying everywhere. James was also sprayed in the face with pepper spray. James was convicted and received a suspended sentence, 200 hours community service and was ordered to pay £460 in compensation and costs.

I didn’t witness any of this and it may be that James was drunk, nasty and very violent. But there may be another interpretation. Accounts given to numerous people – as well as to Courts – of my conduct towards Top Doctors and Angels have included allegations that I too had launched ‘extremely violent and unprovoked attacks’ on various people, which included me trying to strangle, stab and throttle them. Some of these people also claimed to have been injured by me. When these people were asked to produce the evidence, in every single case they could not. It was admitted by their own lawyers that barefaced lies had been told to the police and on occasions in Court. No-one was ever investigated or prosecuted. I am not someone who gets pissed in nightclubs. I am female, have a middle class accent and am not the stereotype of a brawler. If I had been male and drunk, Dafydd et al would have had me in prison years ago. I was never assaulted by the police – although a small number of them hurled abuse at and threatened me – but I know witnesses to Dafydd’s wrongdoing in north Wales who definitely were assaulted by police, one man was nearly killed by them. In every case they were prosecuted and convicted. They lived the rest of their lives in north Wales being known as dangerous nutters. Because the courts handed them over to the mental health services after they had been convicted, they were loaded up with anti-psychotics which damaged their physical health, they lived in poverty and within a short time began feeling and looking very rough. So they looked like dangerous nutters as well. They weren’t all model citizens before their convictions, but they were not quite what the courts and mental health services pretended that that were.

But then those kids who ended up in Risley Remand Centre after being repeatedly raped and battered by Dafydd’s gang were not quite what the criminal justice system pretended they were either. See post ‘Include Me Out’.

As for bouncers, they don’t tend to be members of the liberal intelligentsia. Although I did know a bouncer in Bangor who was a graduate. Simon Worth, who had a degree in sports science. Simon Worth worked as a bouncer while he was doing his PhD and I heard him boasting to third parties of how he dragged one girl along the floor while ‘she was squealing like a pig’. After Simon failed his PhD, he applied to join the North Wales Police. At the time, the Chief Constable was Richard Brunstrom, who was desperately trying to clean up a deeply corrupt force. Simon’s application was rejected, which infuriated him, especially because according to Simon, it was only as a result of ‘something that happened when I was 19’. Not that Simon would come clean about what that something was. So Simon became a paramedic instead, the Welsh Ambulance Trust being far less fussy and full of thugs.

On one occasion Simon enjoyed sticking his head through the open window of my car and yelling at me when he was on duty. Simon later parted company with the Welsh Ambulance Trust after telling his mates that they were treating him terribly because ‘he was a whistleblower’. The Welsh Ambulance Service would indeed treat a whitsleblower terribly, but I don’t remember Simon blowing any whistles at all regarding what he knew was happening to me and others, including at the hands of the Welsh Ambulance Trust.

The Ambulance Service in north Wales were fully on board with Dafydd and the paedophiles, because it was the ambulances who would transport the unlawfully arrested and detained victims of the gang to the North Wales Hospital in the middle of the night. Police cars would have been noticed and could not have been passed off as a ‘caring’ service. I knew one ambulanceman in north Wales who was a ferocious wife beater, who was violent to his step-daughter because she was a Hergest patient and he hated nutters and who also told a Hergest patient whom he had to take to Ysbyty Gwynedd with breathing difficulties that ‘next time I’ll fucking let you die’. This ambulance man’s first wife had been incarcerated in the North Wales Hospital Denbigh and was found dead, drowned on Denbigh moors, the day that she was released. Her poor husband was distraught, he had collected her from Denbigh and then as they were on their way home, his wife had Gone Mad, attacked him, overpowered him, escaped and run away across the Denbigh moor, never to be seen alive again…

‘I’m just a well motivated person who’s come to see ewe because I am so concerned for ewer well-being’ – Dafydd, 1986, when I had been unlawfully detained by the gang in Ysbyty Gwynedd.

‘I think I am a nice man, I’m kind to children’ – Dafydd circa 1989.

‘My children say their prayers before bed and I’m rather proud of that’ – Dafydd, press interview circa 1994.

Note the Caring Hands:

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones

A paedophiles’ friend from north Wales was in the UK media yesterday – Guto Bebb, the Tory MP for Aberconwy, who featured on this blog recently. Guto is a former Plaid activist and was Chair of the Party in Caernarfon. He defected to the Conservatives after failing to be selected as the Plaid candidate for the seat on long-serving incumbent Dafydd Wigley’s retirement. Dafydd Wigley lived through the Peak Paedophile years in Gwynedd, Guto could not possibly have missed what was happening at the HQ of Gwynedd County Council in Caernarfon. I heard Guto interviewed on the ‘Today’ programme, complaining about Theresa and the ‘dangers’ of a No Deal Brexit. Guto got the violins and onions out, he told Justin Webb that ‘I have to be honest with you’ and talked about his ‘heavy heart’.

Guto, I have no idea how, inside your heavy heart, you actually feel about the gang of paedophiles with whom you have spent your whole life living and working cheek by jowl, but you really do need to speak out about them.

Diane Abbott has been in the ‘Morning Star’ praising the Fire Brigades Union. That is the FBU for which Ann Jones, the paedophiles’ friend who is the Labour AM for the Vale of Clwyd, spent many years working, as I mentioned in my post ‘It’s Just Another Gold Digger’. I mentioned in the same post that Vicky Knight, the President of the UCU, also worked for the FBU. Previous posts have explained how when I worked at Bangor University, the UCU rep Eileen Tilley was corrupt and had cultivated a chummy relationship with the corrupt HR Director, Lyn Meadows. Tilley undermined honest staff and supported staff who abused their positions. I was told that Tilley was hoping for a seat on the national executive of the UCU and that Lyn Meadows was giving her a helping hand towards that goal. Yesterday’s ‘Morning Star’ informed us that Vicky Knight is the TUC Women’s Committee Chair. Vicky wrote an article in the ‘Morning Star’ explaining how the TUC is leading the way in the fight against sexual harassment. Gosh, I’ve missed that Vicky…

A few days ago the ‘Morning Star’ reported that the FBU were involved in a legal case and were being represented by Thompsons. Thompsons have featured on this blog before. They are the lawyers who work for trade unions and throughout the years of Peak Paedophilia in north Wales, Thompsons loyally represented those unions who colluded with Dafydd et al and those unions even defended people who had abused kids after they had been convicted. Some of those who abused kids in north Wales were union reps themselves.

As Carwyn Jones approaches the end of his term as FM, there is a bit of movement in terms of those who wish to succeed him and their supporters. Owen Smith, the Labour MP for Pontypridd, has said that he’d like to see Vaughan Gething as FM. Vaughan is currently the Welsh Gov’t Health Minister who has refused to take any action in the face of the slaughter which continues apace in the NHS in north Wales. Vaughan has given those who have dared scream ‘but look at what’s happening’ a bollocking for ‘talking down the NHS’. I take this to be Vaughan’s version of Thatcher declaring people to be ‘moaning Minnies’. I can’t remember what crime the Moaning Minnies had committed, I expect they’d complained about being bludgeoned over the head by a truncheon wielded by a policeman or something trivial. It was even better when a load of people on the bones of their arse in a queue for a soup kitchen tried to talk to Thatch about their hardship, only for Thatch to bellow ‘cheer up, cheer up’ at them and walk away.

Before Vaughan Gething became an AM he was a lawyer. He worked for Thompsons. Vaughan’s supporter Owen was previously one of the most senior marketing managers at Pfizer.

Now I don’t want to hear any complaints about the nightmare scenario that is unfolding.

Hearing Voices

In my post ‘Conference At Cold Comfort Farm’ I discussed the dishonesty of the former Tory MP for Taunton, Edward du Cann, who despite being pursued by so many for bad debts and holding senior positions in companies which went bankrupt owing millions of pounds, always seemed to manage to come out smiling himself. In 1993 it looked as though Sir Edward might have had his comeuppance when he was declared bankrupt, but bugger me if dear old Sir Edward didn’t bounce back again and end up living the life of Riley in Cyprus within a short few years, after having invested in vineyards. Sir Edward did have an incredible ability to find himself a rich man no matter what was happening to those around him, but I have always presumed that was because Sir Edward was, as my grandpa always told me, ‘a crook’.

Sir Edward did not like my grandpa one bit and they knew each other well. Du Cann outlived grandpa by many years, he was younger than grandpa anyway, but my grandpa pegged out when he was in his mid-70s whereas dear old du Cann lasted until he was in his 90s and only shuffled off this mortal coil very recently. As I explained in ‘Conference At Cold Comfort Farm’, Sir Edward’s final bounce back from disaster occurred at the same time as some people in Somerset received huge quantities of money in return for their silence regarding what was happening to me at the hands of the trafficking gang. Du Cann was by then just a politician from the past, but he caused a bit of a stir when on 18 July 1995 the ‘Sunday Herald’ published an interview with him in which he explained that he was so pissed off with the Tory Party that he was going to speak out, that he ‘had a lot to tell’ and was ‘going to tell it’.

At the time that Sir Edward was making these threatening noises, John Major’s Gov’t was pushing out all the boats to conceal the crap in north Wales, dirty deals had just been done to give Dafydd an offer that he could not refuse so he had agreed to ‘retire’ (see post ‘The Evolution Of A Drugs Baron?’), William Hague had not yet announced any public inquiry into the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal although Sir Ronnie Waterhouse seemed to know that he would be Chairing it and the paedophiles’ friends were doing everything possible to have me banged up in a secure mental health unit without trial. If that wasn’t sufficient for a du Cann feeding frenzy, Blair was knocking at the door of No 10, Cherie was mates with numerous ‘radical lawyers’ who were concealing the crimes of those linked to the Westminster Paedophile Ring and Ron Davies was busy having moments of madness and was lined up for the job as Secretary of State for Wales when Blair became PM (see post ‘Cottaging At Castle Gate’).

Sir Peter Morrison, the then former Tory MP for Chester who had spent years abusing children in care in north Wales and elsewhere was found dead on 13 July 1995. Morrison had been a personal friend of Thatch and was one of the MPs who robustly supported her leadership bid against Ted Heath. Du Cann had been the leading light in the rout against Heath (see post ‘Conference At Cold Comfort Farm’). Four days before Morrison was found dead, Bing Spear died. Spear was the corrupt mandarin who had been at the top of the Home Office Drugs Branch for years and facilitated Dafydd’s generous prescribing of class A drugs (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’). Brown was forced out of his job at Aston University in July 1995.

No wonder that du Cann subsequently decided that he didn’t have anything to tell after all and found himself living it up in Cyprus.

There must have been a cross-party whip-round in Parliament after an observation along the lines of ‘Oh God it’s that old crook from Somerset, he doesn’t just know the key witness’s family but he’s been around for decades and he is au fait with the details of every political scandal since the Jurassic. Dig deep into your pockets everyone.’

Craven unprincipled politicians: Have you by any chance all had your brains collectively removed? Do you not understand that the wrongdoing was so great and involved so many people that you were never ever going to be free of it? Even if you had have succeeded in silencing me and my friends for ever, you would still always have been bothered by the du Canns of the world returning for more dosh. It won’t have died with du Cann, there is the next generation, you know as well as I do that you’re having to do favours for the grandchildren of the Westminster Paedophile Ring now. Then there’s the Top Docs who just tell you what their next pay rise is going to be. Now would you like to write me a thank you letter for having exposed what went on, thus freeing you all of future blackmailers?

Du Cann’s Lazarus-like revival was contingent upon the very helpful Registrar Mr Pimm. It was reported in the Indie that a bankruptcy order against du Cann was made in the London Bankruptcy Court on 12 March 1993 on a petition over unpaid bills by the solicitors Denton Hall Burgin & Warrens, who used to act for du Cann. Because of that order, an Inland Revenue petition for unpaid taxes became a formality on 25 March 1993 and was automatically dismissed at a brief private hearing before Mr Registrar Pimm in London on 25 March 1993. Both the Inland Revenue and the law firm had filed their petitions in Jan 1993. Du Cann told the Indie on 25 March 1993 that his solicitors would be applying to have the bankruptcy order lifted in the next few days.

I thought that I’d find out a bit more about Mr Pimm. Geoffrey Pimm died not so long ago and the website of the Chancery Bar Association website published his obituary.

Geoffrey Leonard Pimm was appointed as a Registrar in Bankruptcy of the High Court in 1981. Born in 1926, Pimm became a Bevin boy after leaving school, working in the mines in Nottinghamshire, but was later commissioned into the RNVR during WWII. When he left the RNVR he took the Bar examinations. Pimm was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn in Feb 1952. Pimm became a tenant in the same Chambers as Michael Havers before joining the Colonial Service as a magistrate and being posted to Southern Rhodesia in June 1958.

Just from the information provided in the previous paragraph alone, we can presume that Mr Pimm had many valuable connections. Jimmy Savile was a Bevin boy and being Savile he utilised this network every bit as ruthlessly as he used all of his other networks. Geoffrey Pimm’s time in the RNVR will have meant that he knew of the people and the misconduct described in my post ‘The Defence Of The Realm’. Du Cann was also in the RNVR at that time.

The connection with Michael Havers will really have given Pimm influence though. Havers was from a high profile legal family. His father was the High Court judge Sir Cecil Havers, his sister became Lord Elizabeth Butler-Sloss and Havers himself was Attorney-General, 1979-87, during which time he blocked the prosecutions of a number of celebrity paedophiles, as well as overseeing numerous serious miscarriages of justice. Havers was the Tory MP for Wimbledon, 1970-87 and his constituents numbered many of the Top Docs from St George’s Hospital Medical School, including Professor Geoffrey Chamberlain who was concealing the crimes of Dafydd et al in north Wales as well as a linked paedophile ring in south London (see post ‘The Most Dangerous Man In The World – Part III’). Havers was Solicitor General, 1972-74, under Ted Heath and was Lord Chancellor for a few months in 1987, before stepping down for health reasons. Havers was also in the RNVR.

Michael Havers was Attorney General when Geoffrey Pimm was appointed Registrar in Bankruptcy in the High Court in London.

Geoffrey Pimm and Michael Havers’ Chambers was also the Chambers of Edward Clarke QC. Clarke was number two to Frederick Geoffrey Lawrence in the defence team for the suspected serial killing Top Doctor John Bodkin Adams. Between 1946 and 1956, more than 160 of Bodkin Adams’s patients died in suspicious circumstances and of these, 132 left him money or items in their wills. He was tried and acquitted for the murder of one patient in 1957. Another count of murder was withdrawn by the prosecution in what was later described as ‘an abuse of process’ by the Presiding judge Sir Patrick Devlin, causing questions to be asked in Parliament about the prosecution’s handling of events.

Adams was found guilty in a subsequent trial of 13 offences of prescription fraud, lying on cremation forms, obstructing a police search and failing to keep a dangerous drugs register. He was removed from the Medical Register in 1957 and reinstated in 1961.

Bodkins Adams’s case demonstrates that the BMA, MDU and GMC had a history of protecting dangerous criminal Top Doctors by the time that Dafydd was learning the ropes.

After the investigation into Bodkin Adams was launched, the BMA sent a letter to all doctors in Eastbourne – where Bodkin Adams practised – reminding them of ‘Professional Secrecy’ (ie. patient confidentiality) if interviewed by the police. Yet the patients in question were dead. The Attorney General Sir Reginald Manningham-Buller wrote to the BMA secretary, Dr Macrae, “to try to get him to remove the ban”. The impasse continued until on 8 November Manningham-Buller met with Macrae to convince him of the importance of the case. During this meeting he passed a police officer’s confidential 187-page report on Adams to Macrae. Macrae took the report to the President of the BMA and returned it the next day. In all likelihood, he also copied it and passed it on to the defence. Convinced of the seriousness of the accusations, Macrae dropped his opposition to doctors talking to the police. In the end two Eastbourne doctors gave evidence to the police.

Opposition Labour MPs subsequently gave notice of two questions to be asked in the House regarding the affair, one asking what “reports [the Attorney-General] has sent” to the GMC in the “past six months”. Manningham-Buller replied that he had “had no communications” with the GMC, but only with an officer of it. He did not mention the police officer’s report. Instead, he instigated an investigation into a leak, later concluding that the police officer himself had passed information regarding the meeting with Macrae to a journalist.

The police acquired a memo belonging to a Daily Mail journalist, concerning rumours of homosexuality between “a police officer, a magistrate and a doctor”. The last directly implied Adams. This information had come, according to the reporter, directly from the police officer who had compiled the report which had been given to the BMA. The ‘magistrate’ was Sir Roland Gwynne, Mayor of Eastbourne (1929–31) and brother of Rupert Gwynne, MP for Eastbourne (1910–24).  Gwynne was Adams’s patient and known to visit every day at 9am. They went on frequent holidays together and had recently spent three weeks in Scotland. The ‘police officer’ was the Deputy Chief Constable of Eastbourne, Alexander Seekings. The officer who compiled the report ignored this line of inquiry (despite homosexual acts being a criminal offence in 1956), and the police instead gave the journalist a dressing-down.

The leading Defence counsel at the trial, Sir Frederick Geoffrey Lawrence QC, was briefed by the MDU. Lawrence was ‘a specialist in real estate and divorce cases [and] a relative stranger in criminal court’ who was defending his first murder trial and convinced the jury that there was no evidence that a murder had been committed, much less that a murder had been committed by Adams. He emphasised that the indictment was based mainly on testimonies from the nurses and that none of the witnesses’ evidence matched the others’.

One of the defence witnesses at Adams’s trial was the Harley Street practitioner Dr John Harman, Harriet Harman’s dad. Harman proffered opinions in areas in which he had no personal clinical experience.

During the committal hearing prior to the trial, Lord Chief Justice Goddard had been seen dining with Sir Roland Gwynne  at The White Hart Hotel in Lewes: there is no indication of what they discussed. Goddard, as Lord Chief Justice, appointed Devlin to try the Adams case shortly after the end of the committal hearing and, in a meeting of 19 Feb 1957, Goddard, as Lord Chief Justice, had a responsibility for the conduct of all courts in England and Wales, from magistrates’ courts to the Court of Appeal and was entitled to give Devlin his views on the case.

The jury took 44 minutes to find Adams not guilty.

There are numerous aspects to the Bodkin Adams case which are strangely familiar to anyone acquainted with Dafydd and his ways. Lies were told constantly, overwhelming evidence of crime was dismissed by throw away comments about a doctor’s duty, there was much pompousing about how doctors could never be accused of murder, nurses giving evidence were belittled and documentary evidence compiled by nurses went missing. The whole case just shrieks ‘Dafydd’.

Geoffrey Pimm served as a district magistrate in Zambia
until independence in 1964. Pimm then went into private practice in Zambia, working as a solicitor, 1964-69, when he divorced and re-married, leaving Africa and losing touch with his family for a while. Leaving your wife and ‘losing touch with your family’ was in those days something done by the very posh or the plebs, but it was considered somewhat scandalous among Pimm’s layer of society. I wonder what the circumstances were.

Pimm’s obituary on the Chancery Bar Association website tells us that ‘Between 1970 and 1972 he served as Attorney General in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, which remained colonies of the Crown until 1972. He advised the Gov’t of these islands on various matters, but considered one of his great achievements to be the settlement of a claim by the Gilbert islanders for several millions of pounds in compensation for phosphate mining and environmental damage to the islands. He accomplished this in part through his personal connections: he considered politics to be as important as the legal side of his work.’

The Chancery Bar Association seems to have told a number of porkies regarding Pimm’s service in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, I suspect because Pimm did something really disgusting when he ‘served’ in that capacity. The Gilbert and Ellice Islands remained colonies of the crown until 1976, not 1972. A referendum was held in Dec 1974 to determine whether the Gilbert and Ellice Islands should each have their own administration. As a consequence of the referendum, the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony ceased to exist on 1 Jan 1976 and the separate countries of Kiribati and Tuvalu came into existence.

The Islands had become a Crown colony in 1916, along with a number of other islands, some of which were transferred to New Zealand in 1926. The Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony continued to be administered by a Resident Commissioner. Banaba Island (Ocean Island) remained the headquarters of the colony until the British evacuation in 1942 during the Pacific War when Banaba Island and the Gilbert Islands were occupied by the Japanese. After World War II, the colony headquarters was re-established on Tarawa, in the Gilbert Islands. The Tuvaluans were concerned about their minority status in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony. In 1974, ethnic differences within the colony caused the Polynesians of the Ellice Islands to vote for separation from the Micronesians of the Gilbert Islands (later Kiribati). In 1975, the Ellice Islands became the separate British colony of Tuvalu.

In 1947 Tarawa was made the administrative capital. In 1963, an Advisory Council was created, consisting of officials and representatives who were appointed by the Resident Commissioner. In 1964 an Executive Council was established. A Constitution was introduced in 1967, which created a House of Representatives for the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony that comprised seven appointed officials and 23 members elected by the islanders. Tuvalu elected four members of the House of Representatives. The 1967 Constitution also established the Governing Council. The House of Representatives only had the authority to recommend laws; the Governing Council had the authority to enact laws following a recommendation from the House of Representatives.

As it became apparent that the Tuvaluans were concerned about their minority status on the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony, a new constitution was introduced in 1971. However that did not end the Tuvaluan movement for independence.

In 1974 Ministerial government was introduced in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony through a change to the Constitution.

After the Dec 1974 referendum to determine whether the Gilbert Islands and Ellice Islands should each have their own administration, separation occurred in two stages. The Tuvaluan Order 1975 made by the Privy Council which took effect on 1 Oct 1975, recognised Tuvalu as a separate British dependency with its own Gov’t. The second stage occurred on 1 Jan 1976 when two separate administrations were created out of the civil service of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony. The British conducted a formal inquiry into Tuvaluan attitudes towards secession and announced that a referendum was to be held, in which Tuvaluans could choose to remain with the Gilberts or secede. They were told that if they separated they would not receive royalties from the Banaba Island phosphate or other assets of the colony. Despite this, 3799 Tuvaluans (92%) voted to secede, while 293 voted against secession. On 1 Oct 1975, legal separation from the Gilbert Islands – now Kiribati – took place. On 1 Jan 1976, full administration of the new colony was transferred to Funafuti from Tarawa. Tuvalu became an independent constitutional monarchy and the 38th member of the Commonwealth on the 1 Oct 1978. The Gilbert Islands attained independence on 12 July 1979 under the name Kiribati by the Kiribati Independence Order 1979, as a republic with Commonwealth membership.

Banaba Island, which was formerly rich in phosphates before becoming fully depleted in the latter colonial years, also sued for independence in 1979 and boycotted the Kiribati ceremonies. The Banabans wanted greater autonomy and reparations of around $250 million for revenue they had not received and for environmental destruction caused by phosphate mining practices similar to those on Nauru. The British authorities had relocated most of the population to Fiji after 1945, but by the 1970s many were returning to Banaba. The British rejected the Banaban independence proposal and the island remained under the jurisdiction of Kiribati.

So the Banabans and Tuvaluans were really shafted in terms of not receiving compensation for the phosphate mining. Declare independence from Lilibet? Then you’re not getting your dosh. I haven’t had time to research which mining company benefited from the mineral deposits on Banaba and Tuvalu, but now I am becoming familiar with the ways of the world, I suspect that it was probably Chaired by Edward du Cann or one of his mates. Geoffrey Pimm obviously had a great deal to do with the screwing over of the Banabans and Tuvaluans and he could well have continued ‘advising’ on the fleecing of certain islanders until after he left his post. Of course Pimm might have laid all the plans while he was AG, 1970-72, but for some reason the Chancery Bar Association has lied about the date that the Gilbert and Ellice Islands achieved independence. Whatever the truth behind this, Pimm was a key mover and shaker in making things very difficult for certain islands to achieve independence from Lilibet, which suggests that Pimm had friends in very high places and was doing favours for those friends. Friends of a Royal nature.

According to the Chancery Bar Association, in 1972 Pimm was off to Bermuda – after having provided such a good service in his previous post – where he then served in the Attorney General’s Chambers until 1974.

In the 16th century Bermuda was known to Spanish and Portuguese explorers as the Isle of the Devils, as a result of the storms and dangerous reefs. During the 2oth century, Bermuda became a popular tourist destination.

Here’s Lilibet and Phil travelling in style on Bermuda in 1953:

Tourism reached a peak on Bermuda in the 1960s-70s, but by the end of the 1970s, ‘international business’ aka tax evasion had supplanted tourism as the dominant sector of Bermuda’s economy. Universal adult suffrage only occurred in the 1960s; prior to that, voting was dependent upon a certain level of property ownership. On 10 March 1973, the Governor of Bermuda Richard Sharples was assassinated by local Black Power militants during a period of civil unrest. So Geoffrey Pimm found himself where the action was once again.

Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory and executive authority in Bermuda is vested in Lilibet and is exercised on her behalf by the Governor, who is appointed by the Queen on the advice of the British Gov’t.

It will have been Ted Heath’s Gov’t who sent Geoffrey Pimm to Bermuda to do whatever it was that he got up to out there. Whatever that was, Pimm put it to good use. His obituary states that he returned to London after his posting in Bermuda and worked ‘for Kleinwort Benson as a specialist legal adviser, a post in which he was able to put to good use his knowledge of the Bermuda offshore insurance business’.

After leaving Kleinwort Benson, Pimm joined the High Court as a bankruptcy registrar, eventually serving as Chief Registrar until his retirement in 1997. Pimm resided in a flat in Gray’s Inn.

Ronnie Waterhouse’s mate Sir William Mars-Jones lived at Gray’s Inn. Mars-Jones provided a huge umbrella for Dafydd and the paedophiles for years from Paedophilia Central in London and Mars-Jones’s brother and sister-in-law also provided valuable back-up to Dafydd et al on a local basis in Denbighshire. Mars-Jones, Waterhouse and Havers all spent many enjoyable hours in the Garrick.

Pimm enjoyed flying; he held a private pilot’s licence in Zambia and for a time part-owned a Cessna aeroplane. He also enjoyed dinghy sailing and was a regular at the opera.

The Chancery Bar Association claimed that Pimm was ‘a private man who revealed little to his colleagues’, although it’s not rocket science to work out that Pimm was shafting Little People. Pimm ‘declined the offer of a valediction when he retired, an occasion that was marked only by an informal presentation by his colleagues and court staff’. He ‘went off quietly to spend his retirement in Port Elizabeth in South Africa where his
second wife, Alvina, wished to live’. Alvina died shortly before him, after which he moved to a retirement complex run by the Catholic Church in Port Elizabeth. Pimm died in Nov 2015 in Port Elizabeth and is survived by his children, Sarah, Jonathan, James and Mary and his first wife Beryl.

This is pure speculation, but by 1997 – the year in which Ronnie Waterhouse began hearing evidence at the Waterhouse Inquiry – was Pimm’s past finally perhaps looking dangerously like catching up with him? Low key retirements are usually a sign that someone is fed up with their employers and glad to be escaping or that they have become a major embarrassment and only a few trusted employees who can be replied upon to behave themselves are invited to wave goodbye. It was under such circumstances that Meri Huws departed from Bangor University. Now I and one of my friends actively tried to find out where Meri’s leaving party was being held but we did not manage it.

Someone else who had a carefully managed retirement party was Dafydd. There was a buffet held for him in the Hergest Unit and colluding Angels and Top Docs were invited. I and another victim had plans to gatecrash Dafydd’s party and give the old bastard a send off that he’d never forget but we missed it by merely hours. I later found out that the whole Hergest Unit had been briefed as to how the party had to be planned and held without patients – in particular me – having any idea about it, lest some unwanted reminders of Dafydd’s glorious career blighted the occasion. I observed to Jeff Crowther, the nursing manager, that holding a party for Dafydd was a slap in the face for all of his victims. Jeff responded by saying ‘it was a slap in the face for him, no-one went’. Someone else confirmed that this was indeed true, there was only a very small turnout and the uneaten grub was sent around the hospital afterwards.

If Dafydd operated on the same level as the rest of us, the snub might have been felt. This is Dafydd, he wouldn’t have given a stuff, he ‘retired’ clutching the NHS contract to provide ‘substance misuse services’ for the whole of north Wales and an agreement that none of the very serious outstanding complaints against him would be followed up (see post ‘The Evolution Of A Drug’s Baron?’). That was over 20 years ago. Dafydd is still Chairing the biggest ‘substance abuse’ charity in Wales. Since his ‘retirement’ in 1995, his charity CAIS has branched out into therapy, counselling, Army veterans, employment projects, supported housing and ‘service user involvement’. Such a slap in the face for him Jeff…

The appointment of the Chief Registrar is a matter for the Lord Chancellor. Who when Geoffrey Pimm was appointed was Quintin Hogg aka Lord Hailsham, a paedophiles’ friend and homophobe (ironically the two characteristics often are found together) of many decades standing (see previous posts). The Lord Chancellor when Pimm did such a big favour for Edward du Cann was that other sex offenders’ friend Lord Mackay (see previous posts).

Previous posts (eg. ‘Some Big Legal Names Enter The Arena’) discussed how in 1993 I was prosecuted for ‘staring at a social worker’ in Safeways in Bangor. I was found guilty, although the social worker in question, paedophiles’ colleague Jackie Brandt, began crying in the witness box under a polite cross-examination by my solicitor and admitted that she had lied in her statement about me. Brandt had claimed that I had screamed and yelled at her in Safeways and followed her around the store with intent to launch a murderous attack upon her outside. Under cross-examination Brandt admitted that none of that had happened, but I had stared at her. I had to part with £60 on the orders of Bangor Magistrates.

Years later I discovered that it had been faithfully documented by Top Doctor Sadie Francis that I had ‘stormed out of the court swearing’ after the case. Which is certainly interesting, because what actually happened was that when Brandt started crying in the witness box and fessed up to lying, I began laughing. I was laughing so much at this trembling wreck who, just before stressing to the magistrates how she had ‘many years of experience in dealing with disturbed people’ but I was the worst that she’d ever encountered, had forgotten her own name – she regressed to childhood and stated that she was ‘Jackie Muriel Billings’ and then had to correct herself and shrieked ‘No, no, I’m sorry, it’s Jackie Muriel Brandt’ – that the magistrates threatened to put me in the cells if I ‘didn’t remain silent’. I wasn’t saying anything, swearing or otherwise, my co-accused and I were simply too busy laughing at the farce. Furthermore, Sadie Francis knew this, because I saw her husband days later and he said ‘that case was just a laugh to you wasn’t it’, so I explained that considering the prosecution witness was a lying jelly who got her own name wrong, yes it was quite entertaining. Sadie and Tony should have known that I and my co-accused were not the only ones who had a good laugh, Brandt became known among the patients afterwards as Jackie Muriel Billings in honour of that performance.

Jackie Muriel Billings had previously unlawfully detained me and at least one other person but our complaints against her were never investigated. Jackie Muriel Billings was on one occasion faced by a patient who loathed her so much that she refused to answer the door to Jackie Muriel Billings. Jackie Muriel Billings called the police, told them that there was a mad psychiatric patient inside the house, the police broke the door down, the young woman was sectioned by Jackie Muriel Billings and was subsequently evicted from her house as a result of the damage to the door. She then became a ‘homeless schizophrenic’. Prior to that she was a young business studies graduate who was doing her best to recover from a period of illness which was made considerably worse by Jackie Muriel Billings et al . Yes, we Hergest patients had suffered distress and illness, but we were not completely mad and violent with it, which was the only way that Billings et al ever constructed any of us. Furthermore, by the time that Jackie Muriel Billings and co had finished, as Brown observed, most of what were once simply vulnerable young people were irretrievable.

Another curious thing that Jackie Muriel Billings wrote about me in one of her affidavits – she took me to court several times – was that she ‘had even given [her] little dog away lest [I] hurt it to upset her’. I didn’t even know that Jackie Muriel Billings had a dog and even if I had have known, Jackie Muriel Billings had no indication at all that I would have hurt her dog or indeed anyone else’s dog. No-one questioned why such a ludicrous comment had been included in an affidavit for the High Court, it was yet another bit of the craziness of the paedophiles’ friends that became part of the case against me, ooh she was going to murder Jackie’s dog.

Jackie didn’t actually give the performance of a lifetime in front of Bangor Magistrates until later in the year in 1993, but when Jackie made up that nonsense about her encounter in Safeways with me it was I think in February 1993. Despite the imminent danger to Jackie’s life that I presented, I and my co-accused were not told that Jackie had made a police statement about us for at least two weeks. It was sometime in March that we were told that the complaint had been made and that we would be prosecuted. Which was when Pimm and du Cann were busy working their scam…

One of those who worked at the Cancer Research Campaign laboratories at Nottingham University who was part of Prof Robert Baldwin’s massive research fraud was a Dr Malcolm Pimm. Pimm was lazy, dishonest and vindictive towards both me and a medical student who was on placement at the labs at the time. I don’t know what Pimm’s problem with the medical student was, she was lovely, but Pimm and his side-kick Sandra Gribben held conversations in front of me regarding how they were going to get this student out. This student was never anything but polite to them, but like me she had noticed exactly what was going on in those labs (see post ‘Oh Lordy, It’s CR UK’) and in her capacity as a medical student had also witnessed abuse, bullying and neglect in the flagship Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. The medical student had a father who was a very senior civil servant. I have now found out who he is! I’ll be blogging all about him and the Nottingham connection – I’ve found yet more corruption – very soon.

Note to Ken Clarke: Ken, this is looking really, really bad for you. I have now pieced together some of the parts of the puzzle regarding why my father, from Somerset, found his former employer suddenly dead and his former employer’s business taken over by a man from Nottingham who, for some reason that I could never understand, arrived in Bridgwater to buy the company out. Do you know a businessman from Nottingham called Richard Tennant by any chance Clarke? Because he has a famous nephew – Neil, a pop star! I’ll be blogging more about this soon. Frankly Ken, I’d leave for another planet now if I were you. You’ll need more than a curry, a cigar, a pint, a pair of Hush Puppies and an utterly complacent attitude to get you out of this.

Next time that you want to deal with the BMA Ken, ask the person who has the evidence to put some of them in prison, rather than shaft her and her friends you daft old sod. You didn’t manage to deal with the BMA did you Ken? You tried to, to your credit you were about the only person in Westminster who did try, but like Edwina Hart in Wales you thought that you could outwit the world, screw over everybody and then bag the ‘top job’. You plonker.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh meet former Chancellor Kenneth Clarke at a Buckingham Palace reception for backbench MPs on...

‘And what do you do?’ ‘I cover up the crimes of paedophiles with Royal connections Ma’am, it’s why I couldn’t win the war with the BMA.’
One of Geoffrey Pimm’s children was Jonathan. There is a Jonathan Pimm who is a Top Doctor, who works as a consultant psychiatrist and honorary senior lecturer at the East London NHS Foundation Trust. I have not been able to confirm whether Jonathan is Geoffrey Pimm’s son, but Jonathan Pimm did co-author the 2013 Guardian obituary of a Top Doctor who, along with his mentor, is worth discussing here.
The subject of the obituary was ‘the pioneering psychiatrist Professor Hugh Gurling’. Pimm and his co-author explained that Gurling ‘was determined to find the genes that cause severe mental illness. His resolve to investigate the biological processes underlying devastating diseases such as schizophrenia, manic depression and alcoholism was very much at odds with the prevailing approach in the late 1970s, when the focus in psychiatry was on psychological and social factors. Despite scepticism and at times frank opposition, Gurling single-handedly obtained funding and developed and led a research unit at University College London (UCL) now recognised as being at the forefront of psychiatric genetics. This field, these days involving hundreds of researchers around the world, is widely seen as potentially the greatest source of biological insights and advances in treatment.
Gurling began his research career in 1976, studying alcoholism under the supervision of Professor Robin Murray at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. As part of this project, he sought to uncover genetic influences on alcoholism. This often involved him driving around London collecting blood samples and sometimes visiting patients’ houses late at night. With the emergence of the “new genetics”, he realised the potential to gain radical insights into the understanding of schizophrenia and manic depression. To this end, he collaborated with researchers in Iceland, where large family sizes and good genealogical records provided ideal material for his purpose. He began studying them with novel technologies to identify DNA markers for disease.

A course at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1977 and a year as a visiting scholar and Wellcome training fellow at Stanford University’s department of genetics in 1981 added to his skills. After gaining a Wellcome senior fellowship, in 1987 he moved on to UCL, where he set up a molecular psychiatry laboratory. The following year he published a landmark paper in ‘Nature’, which appeared to demonstrate that chromosome 5 harboured a gene for schizophrenia. Although the exact implications of this paper are still disputed, it served as a stimulus for the development of innovative techniques.

His laboratory found genes that provide the code for neurotransmitter receptor proteins, variants of which are thought to be centrally involved in causing psychosis. He published a paper showing that highly informative markers called microsatellites could be used in gene-mapping studies, and subsequently it became standard practice to use panels of these markers to localise the genes responsible for hundreds of genetic diseases. As the research continued to progress and new technologies emerged, he seized on them enthusiastically. He was involved in work showing that small deletions or duplications of parts of chromosomes could cause schizophrenia. He published papers showing that changes to single DNA bases appeared to affect dramatically the risk of schizophrenia and manic depression.

Most recently, he sequenced all 3 bn DNA bases of 100 subjects with manic depression and identified a number of changes that might be causing disease. In order to confirm these findings, he arranged for these variants to be detected in samples of thousands of people with and without manic depression. The results had the potential to identify definitively which variants in which genes could cause the disorder. He died before receiving them.’

Journalists love Top Docs like Hugh Gurling. Journos don’t usually understand their work, but if you have no education in science the sort of thing that Gurling talked about really does sound impressive and if your article can be accompanied by a female researcher who fits society’s stereotypes of Attractive Girl With Brains doing something with lots of test-tubes while wearing a lab coat and protective eye gear, your editor will be really pleased. Particularly if your editor doesn’t understand anything about Gurling’s work either.

I am in no way hostile to biomedical research or biomedical research in genetics. I love the science behind it, I always have and my problem when I worked in biomedical research was not the science, it was the utter lack of integrity that so many of those involved displayed. There are those who do not think that anything about severe mental illness can ever be explained by biomedical research. I am not one of them, but I am deeply concerned about the degree of research fraud in biomedical sciences, about the poor quality of much research and the lack of intelligent interpretation of results, as well as the way in which billions is being poured into such research when the basic needs of people suffering now from serious illness are not being met. People are dying destitute or languishing in prison while UCL is given another few million and not really held accountable for the spending of the dosh.

However, even if the factors which worry me were to be addressed, the biggest problem in research into severe mental illness is that the diagnoses are simply so often not credible. Yes, there are patients who’s ‘symptoms’ do approximate to those described in DSM. But there are many more who’s ‘symptoms’ do not. Then there are all the patients who find, as I so often did, that the Top Doc to whom they were talking had only the minimal understanding of what they were trying to say. Then there are the numerous basic very serious errors that nearly everyone who reads their own records finds. In north Wales of course, this phenomenon was so marked that people’s ‘medical histories’ were simply a fairy tale. Then there is the pure speculation that ends up recorded as fact on records which are then used to make a ‘diagnosis’. Even if the speculation isn’t downright malicious lies – ‘she planned to kill the dog of a social worker’ or ‘Dr Jones feared that she was going to murder him there and then’ – much of it is utterly naive stereotyping.

My own socio-economic background is complex. My paternal grandpa to whom I was very close was the son of a wealthy Scotsman who abandoned his wife and children when my grandpa was four. Grandpa was brought up in poverty in east London by his sister, who was 12 when their father (and mother) abandoned them. He grew into a self-made businessman, moved to Somerset and in the 1950s and 60s was a big name in the small pool of Bridgwater and a leading light in the Tory Party. He was by then, considered to be a middle class businessman. My maternal grandfather was a farm labourer who came from a Somerset village and lived there his entire life. He was lucky enough to get a council house in the 1930s, where he, my grandmother, two of my aunties and a cousin also lived, after the many other children of my grandparents had grown up and moved out, nearly all of them living in neighbouring villages. They all considered themselves working class. I would sit in my father’s parents’ house and have them telling me what was in the Torygraph or how important it was to get rid of Ted Heath and then go two miles down the road and visit my other grandparents. My gran would have come back from the bingo in Bridgwater, my grandpa would be smoking No 6 and watching the ‘Golden Shot’ and if I wanted to read something there was the ‘News of the World’.

This account always wows sociologists, but they can easily cope with it. Top Doctors couldn’t. I would watch their brains going into overdrive as they desperately tried to pigeon hole me after asking – quite unnecessary – questions about some aspects of my background. It was fascinating to watch as some of them tried to categorise me as the offspring of a scumbag who was on the cider 24 hrs a day – even more confusion resulted when I explained that my father rarely drank and neither did I under most circumstances – while others told each other that I was a spoilt stuck up cow who didn’t know anyone who worked for a living.

I then realised that despite all the talk of assessing patients’ social and cultural circumstances, all these enquiries about my background were for one reason only. To discover whether I was someone who had people close to me who were going to complain about what was happening to me at the hands of the negligent maniacs running and staffing the mental health services or indeed raise the alarm with influential people. More of which later.

As Top Docs clearly have no idea as to how to ‘assess’ the social and cultural background of the person sitting in front of them yet alone start assessing their family members by failing to grasp any of the info that they have been given, I suggest that they stop trying to do so.

It is among this half-understood – if even that – mess and confusion that records are made referring to ‘genetically inherited mental illness’ within the patient’s family. There are some families where mental distress emerges in several members, but with the Top Docs on the job, that doesn’t really tell us much.

Then there are the patients who acquire several different diagnoses, sometimes within the course of just two or three years. Look at the records of people in north Wales. People admitted to the North Wales Hospital Denbigh in the 1970s and 80s were nearly all diagnosed with ‘paranoid schizophrenia’. A small number had manic depression. Attractive young people whom Dafydd wanted to traffic had ‘personality disorders’, so that Dafydd could send them to his ‘young persons personality disorders unit’, where they were encouraged to have sex with each other while Angels watched and were then groomed for sex work (see post ‘Include Me Out’). DSM tells us that the diagnosis of personality disorder should never be made in young people but that didn’t stop old Dafydd and Gwynne. No-one questioned them.

In the 1990s, in north Wales scores of the ‘mental patients with paranoid schizophrenia or manic depression’ became ‘service users with borderline personality disorders’. This was because Top Doctors could refuse to treat people who were deemed to have borderline personality disorders on the grounds that they didn’t have a mental ‘illness’, but they could send them to prison or a secure hospital on the grounds that they had a mental ‘disorder’ and were ‘potentially dangerous’. Christmas had clearly come for the people traffickers of the UK.

I gathered much evidence of these phenomena in north Wales, but they were happening across the UK. David Healy is one person who has written some fascinating material regarding psychiatric diagnoses falling in and out of fashion. Sadly David didn’t scream from the rooftops when his criminal fuckwitted colleagues pulled out diagnoses from a hat to justify whatever abuses they wanted to inflict upon the patient concerned. Patients who had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia if a Top Doc wanted to lock them up and drug them against their wishes would days later find that they suddenly had a borderline personality disorder as they were marched off hospital premises by the police and refused all further care and treatment now that they were suicidal.

It was a big twisted farce.

No-one can possibly carry out work into the genetics of mental illness when practices like this are prevalent.

I would also ask readers to note that Hugh Gurling and the global leaders at UCL have not made a jot of difference to the lives and clinical outcomes of the Empowered Service Users in the wake of their decades of dedication to clarifying ‘the genetics of severe mental illness’.

Readers might have noticed that Hugh Gurling worked at the Institute of Psychiatry (which was then located at the Maudsley) in 1976. Which was about the time that Dr Tony Francis was ‘training’ there. In 1976, many of those who ‘trained’ Dafydd were still working at the Institute of Psychiatry and were concealing his crimes. Dafydd based his ‘treatment’ of alcoholics in north Wales – he cranked up his interest in this field in the mid-1970s, when Hugh was working with the ‘experts’ in alcoholism at the Maudsley – on the knowledge that Dafydd had acquired at the knee of the Great Men of the Maudsley. See post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’. The practices and ‘research’ at the Maudsley were simply not what they were cracked up to be. David Davies was the basis of the Institute of Psychiatry/Maudsley’s ‘expertise’ in alcohol addiction. Davies was the Dean of the Institute of Psychiatry, 1950-66, which covered the time that Dafydd was ‘training’ there. Davies’s ‘international reputation’ was based on a short study that he conducted of alcoholics. The study was based on seven patients and it was later discovered that they weren’t all alcoholics. It was on the basis of the accolades that Davies received after that study that he established the Alcohol Education Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry. See post ‘The Discovery Of A Whole New Galaxy…’.

Hugh Gurling was born in London. His father, Kenneth Gurling, was a physician and inaugural Dean of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. His mother, Nonie Sempill, was an Angel. After attending Sutton Valence School in Maidstone, Kent, Hugh qualified in medicine at King’s College London in 1973. He specialised in psychiatry at Guy’s Hospital and then at the Maudsley and continued with clinical work throughout his academic career, notably with a psychiatric intensive care unit, ‘treating patients too severely psychotic to be safely managed on ordinary wards’.

We now know that when Hugh Gurling was doing that, many patients ‘too severely psychotic to be safely managed on ordinary wards’ were patients who had complained of being sexually abused in care settings, including children’s homes or hospitals, or by professional people who’s careers and reputation would have bitten the dust if anyone had not dismissed the allegations of those dangerous nutters out of hand.

The Comedians was a British television show of the 1970s (later reprised in the mid-1980s and early 1990s) produced by Johnnie Hemp of Granada Television. The show gave a stage to nightclub and working men’s club comedians of the era, including Russ Abbot, who later became known for his own TV series ‘Russ Abbot’s Madhouse’. I never watched ‘The Comedians’, I did not need to with the likes of Dafydd and Jackie Muriel Billings in my life.

Professor Hugh Gurling was brought up in Derbyshire. Where a long-standing paedophile ring was in operation, with links to Dafydd and the gang in north Wales.

In 1987, Hugh Gurling married Meryl Dahlitz, an academic neuropsychiatrist. His children are Holly, Alisdair and Laurel.

High Gurling’s obituary on the UCL website tells us that: Hugh’s uncompromising style and his, at times challenging, opinions did not always sit easily with colleagues and collaborators. However, his enthusiasm and energy gave him the ability to innovate and motivate young researchers and this underpinned his well-deserved reputation in the field. Hugh was also a most valued and supportive clinical colleague, who was committed to the welfare of his patients. As on any subject, he had strong views on the origins of mental health problems, but was always open to discussion and debate with those who had quite different opinions. He had strong interests in politics and the impact of health reforms on his patients.

Articles about Hugh Gurling constantly stressed his love of and commitment to the NHS. That usually translates as being a commitment to denying any healthcare failures or wrongdoing in the NHS, if necessary by launching personal attacks on anyone who dares come forward with evidence of serious wrongdoing.

Hugh Gurling’s sister Catherine Gurling is, or was, a senior lecturer at Kingston University. Which merged with St George’s Hospital Medical School during the 1990s, after repeated scandals at St George’s. Catherine is a clearly some sort of polymath. References to Catherine on the internet refer to her working with cardiologists and neuroscientists. Although Catherine works at Kingston University, she is listed as having been a company director for the British Pregnancy Advisory Service and the Neuroscience Research Charitable Trust and her address is given as Worcester. Is Catherine a Top Doctor of impressive experience? I doubt it, because Catherine is listed as being of the Business School in Kingston University. Furthermore the one piece of Catherine’s handiwork that I have found is an utterly lame power point (‘power point, the teaching aid for those who can’t teach’) discussing pedagogic research. Pedagogic research is a concept like being an expert on gender equality, its name has been taken in vain by a great many people who know nothing about it at all. From what I can see of Catherine’s power point she doesn’t either. But it’s called ‘Experts and Novices’ and there’s photos of people taking to school children.

Even more interesting than Hugh Gurling and his sister is Hugh’s mentor, Robin Murray. Robin Murray knows Dafydd!

Sir Robin Murray
Robin Murray at the Mental Health conference in Hanover, April 2013 - IMAG5320-cropped.png

Professor Sir Robin MacGregor Murray is a Scottish psychiatrist, Professor of Psychiatric Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, which is now located at King’s College London. He has treated patients with schizophrenia and bipolar illness – shouldn’t that be manic depressive insanity Robin? – at the National Psychosis Unit, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust who are referred because ‘they fail to respond to treatment’ – gosh, why ever might that be? – or ‘cannot get appropriate treatment locally’. Sir Robin sees patients privately if they are unable to obtain an NHS referral. Sir Robin will be quids in then, as mental health services collapse across the UK and no-one is able to get a referral for anything. It must be because Hugh Gurling died just before he could put the final touches to his genetics of mental illness project which was going to lead us to a place where the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb and the leopard shall lie down with the kid and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together and a little child shall lead them and the Top Doctors shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Robin Murray qualified at the University of Glasgow. He started training in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and has remained there ever since, apart from one year at the National Institute of Mental Health in the USA. He has been Dean of the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and Professor of Psychiatry there, but now focuses on research into, and care of people with psychotic illness. In 1987 he and Shon Lewis were among the first to suggest that schizophrenia might in part be a neurodevelopmental disorder.

Professor Murray is part of the Psychosis Research Group at the Institute of Psychiatry, perhaps the largest (by number of papers produced per annum) in the world. Yeh, OK, I can imagine the sort of thing that is being published. Murray is ranked as one of the most influential researchers in psychiatry by Thomson Reuters’ Science Watch and 3rd in schizophrenia research. So that’s why the prisons are full of psychotic people, why those who have been in receipt of Sir Robin and his colleagues’ expertise are dying in doorways and embankments and why the few long term mentally ill who have money to spare are beating a path to Sir Robin’s door for private care.

In 1994, Robin Murray was the President of the European Association of Psychiatrists; now the European Psychiatric Association. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society (elected 2010) and also a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Murray is co-editor-in-chief of ‘Psychological Medicine’. He was Chairman of the Schizophrenia Commission which, over 2011 and 2012, reviewed in detail the care of people with psychosis in England and concluded people with this illness were neglected, often poorly treated and subject to discrimination.

Robin Murray and colleagues were among ‘the first to demonstrate that prolonged heavy abuse of cannabis can contribute to the onset of psychosis, and that starting early before 15 years and using high potency cannabis (e.g. skunk) particularly increase the risk’. Currently, they are researching why some people are especially vulnerable to this drug while most develop no problems. In 2009 Murray had a public disagreement with Professor David Nutt in the pages of ‘The Guardian’ about the dangers of cannabis in triggering psychosis.

Murray previously wrote that while the risk increase is “about five-fold […] for the heaviest users”, the issue has become a political football. Murray has commented repeatedly on these issues in BBC articles and programmes, including in a ‘Panorama’  documentary on BBC One.

I’m not sure when Sir Robin noticed the reefer madness which surrounded him, but Dafydd was a pioneer in this field. My post ‘Amber Rudd, The Miners’ Strike And A Memory Jogged’ describes a public meeting regarding drug abuse organised by the Bishop of Bangor, Cledan Mears, in 1984 at which Dafydd was the keynote speaker, where Dafydd told the audience had he had a patient who ‘had a problem with cannabis resin’. Brown whispered to me ‘the only problem that I’ve got with cannabis resin is that I can’t afford it’.

Brown knew what he was talking about, because until summer 1984 I used to enjoy a joint in the evening, but after I graduated I wanted to clear my debts and save some money so I gave up ‘cannabis resin’. However, Dr D.G.E. Wood had already noticed that I was suffering from reefer madness and this had been documented upon my medical records without my knowledge and given to Gwynne the lobotomist before I ever got near Gwynne. Once again, the level of the ignorance and confusion on the part of the Top Docs was impressive. Wood had concluded that I was suffering from reefer madness because I ‘habitually smelt of oil of petunia’. Now what I ACTUALLY smelt of was patchouli oil, because my mates were hippyish and that’s what hippies like to use, as any fule kno. One day I spilt a whole bottle of patchouli oil on my favourite jumper, so of course it really reeked. I did wash the jumper a few times, but it still reeked so I just thought oh sod it, I’ll smell of patchouli oil. I went to see Wood, not knowing in those days that he was running a sex trafficking ring and he asked me what perfume I was wearing. So I said patchouli oil, but I’ve spilt the whole bottle on my jumper.

Wood is thick and arrogant and obviously didn’t know what patchouli oil is, neither did he ask, so he thought that I had said pentunia oil. Whatever that is. Somehow, among all this confusion, someone else had told Wood – I think it was either Adrian Bell, the lecturer in Plant Biology who was mates with Wood or Liz Stables, the nurse in the Student Health Centre, both of whom knew about the trafficking ring and who were colluding – that people who smoke joints and hang around with hippies also have a penchant for patchouli oil.

Thus, along with the many other diagnoses, I was deemed to be suffering from reefer madness. Of course, because I gave up smoking my ONE evening spliff in 1984, by the time that I encountered Dafydd, I could not possibly have been suffering from reefer madness, because I had parted company with the reefers ages ago. But I still had reefer madness.

It was as a result of these sorts of experiences that Brown and I concluded that the Top Docs were stupid, bigoted, prejudiced, dishonest and quite mad.

Dafydd is extreme, but he is not alone. There will be other diagnoses made of reefer madness on bases as confused as the one on which Wood made his comments about me. Dafydd continued to lead the posse re cannabis psychosis throughout the 1990s, he popped up everywhere, including on the BBC, most memorably on the Kane Debates and was touted as an expert. He isn’t, he is an idiot. Furthermore, while Dafydd banged on about the Serious Problem Of Cannabis Psychosis, he was flogging Class A drugs and at least one of his patients whom Dafydd had used in a TV programme as an example of a patient suffering from cannabis psychosis could be seen selling heroin and amphetamines to school kids in Bangor on a regular basis. This young man told his foster mum that he had been paid to appear in the TV documentary with Dafydd.

By the way, Cledan Mears’s predecessor, Gwilym Williams, served as Bishop of Bangor for many years, as well as the Archbishop of Wales. Gwilym Williams was someone who concealed the paedophile gang.

Why do some people develop psychosis from smoking skunk and not other people Sir Robin? Probably because there is no correlation between the two events at all, but some people met a mad old Top Doc who didn’t know his arse from his elbow and he diagnosed reefer madness. Particularly if the Top Doc in question was running a trafficking ring and he wanted to snare the young person. Who might have just spilt a bottle of patchouli oil on her jumper.

It might well be worth investigating any possible link between skunk and psychosis but please don’t let these people do it. Furthermore, if anyone wants to know why young people are still smoking ganja like there’s no tomorrow in spite of the dire warnings from Robin Murray et al, talk to those young people and you will find that their experiences with the Top Docs are as surreal as mine were 30 years ago and as a result they do not believe what these charlies are saying. One real danger from smoking cannabis is from the tobacco which is also in the joints and Murray et al would do far more good if they educated people about that. Inhaling the smoke of anything is not a good idea which is why I’m glad that I have never been a tobacco smoker and was ever only a light cannabis smoker. The excesses of Wood et al achieved nothing but upset.

Murray was knighted in the 2011 New Year Honours for his services to medicine.

I knew Robin Murray’s name, but I never noticed his presence in the lay press until about ten years ago. Suddenly Robin and his grave warnings re reefer madness were everywhere. It happened very shortly after Brown and I published our first academic article about my experiences in the North Wales Hospital Denbigh. It was only a short article and had nothing of the horrors that I have subsequently detailed on this blog, but it was noticed. I was contacted by a mature student who had been a Denbigh patient – one of the very few survivors – who asked me if I knew what a stir I had caused when people realised that I could remember what I’d witnessed in Denbigh. It was then that I noticed the collective crapping themselves of the many welfare professionals still cluttering up the place in north Wales who had worked in Denbigh and denied the abuses which were rampant there and the ‘historians of medicine’ who had written the history of Denbigh but seemed to have forgotten a few crucial facts…

Well suckers, I never used to talk about Denbigh much, not because of ‘the stigma’ but rather because I was busy with other research interests and I knew that most people from Denbigh were dead anyway, that you lot would never tell the truth and that the police were refusing to investigate because the whole damn lot of you were involved. It was your disgusting vendetta against me and anyone who supported me which reached boiling point after I published that article that prompted me to decide that one day I’d expose the lot of you.

In Dec 2017 an interview with Sir Robin Murray was published on the ‘Mad In America’ website. ‘Mad In America’ is a collective of Top Docs who are rightly concerned with practices in psychiatry and the patient harm resulting. Phil Thomas is a leading light in ‘Mad In America’. Phil Thomas worked at the Hergest Unit in the mid-1990s. Phil was there among Dafydd, among the paedophiles’ friends and among Professor Mark Williams’s research fraud which was Mindfulness (see post ‘The Biggest Expert Of The Lot’). Phil wasn’t abusive like his colleagues, but he knew what they were doing and he subsequently left the region. I can’t blame him but Phil didn’t blow any whistles, he just left us all with the people traffickers.

Phil drummed up much good PR for his work with ‘hearing voices groups’. This was an approach which did not involve drugging people who experienced auditory hallucinations, but rather encouraged them to embrace their voices and tolerate them. It did work for some people and was far better than dosing them up, but for other people it was hopeless and they remained acutely distressed by voices for example hurling abuse at them. When Phil Thomas worked at the Hergest Unit, the TV cameras arrived – if they weren’t already in situ filming Mark Williams’s Mindfulness miracle or David Healy causing a rumpus by exposing the dodgy use of ‘clinical trials’ by drug companies – on a regular basis and Phil was constructed as yet another global leader based at the Hergest Unit. Phil struck up a partnership with the Dutch psychiatrist Professor Marius Romme, who pioneered Hearing Voices Groups. Marius arrived in Bangor and was filmed being greeted by Phil Thomas on Bangor station at the beginning of a TV programme which explained the miracles that Marius and Phil would be performing.

At the time patients were being found dead regularly and others were being imprisoned after staff had perjured themselves. There were concerns raised in the media that a VIP paedophile ring was in operation in north Wales which was being concealed at the highest levels of Gov’t. The people running that ring were staffing the mental health services which were being featured as ‘the best in Europe’ by the same media outlets discussing the VIP paedophile ring. But ooh it was so hard to find evidence of that paedophile ring, ooh paedos are clever you know, there were no signs at all..

Just the corpses turning up all over north Wales, the patients hanging themselves, jumping off the Menai Bridge, dying of overdoses, the police charging into the Hergest Unit tasering patients, patients up in the magistrates courts charged with ridiculous offences but going to prison nonetheless…

Here’s Mark (below), living in the moment. It was quite nice for Mark to live in the moment, Mark’s moments consisted of eating buffets provided by drug companies at the ‘seminars’ held in the Hergest Unit or being filmed meditating. The rest of us had moments of being wrongfully arrested, sitting in cells and being threatened by the police when we tried to report assaults on us.

  • People – Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

I have no idea whether Marius Romme knew exactly how patients had been abused in north Wales and were often still abused. Neither do I know who else was behind the well-publicised partnership of radicals which received so much PR from the media. Marius Romme was from 1974 to 1999 Professor of Social Psychiatry at the Medical Faculty of the University of Maastricht, as well as consultant psychiatrist at the Community Mental Health Centre in Maastricht. Romme is now visiting Professor at the Mental Health Policy Centre, Birmingham City University in Birmingham. He is also credited with developing Experience Focussed Counselling together with Dr Sandra Escher and Joachim Schnackenberg.

I have discussed previously how when Phil Thomas worked at the Hergest Unit there was masses of hype regarding how the mental health services in north west Wales were the best in Europe and how every Friday a drug company would turn up with food and wine to ‘sponsor’ the ‘research seminars’ being attended by the colleagues of the paedophile gang. Because that was what was happening. Phil Thomas and David Healy were not involved with that trafficking gang themselves, but they would dutifully stand in front of the paedophiles’ colleagues and give presentations about their research to them. This was such a farce that I used to protest at those seminars, it was laughable, Dafydd would be sitting there with a plate of nibbles balanced on his knee and these utter abusive fuckwits would pretend to be learning all about ground-breaking research. No-one but me would point to the King’s New Clothes. Then the police would be called and the colleagues of the paedophile gang would demand that the police throw me out or if possible arrest me.

While those dangerous failing traffickers were presiding over a genocide at the same time as being promoted in the media as global leaders in cutting edge patient-friendly research and treatment, Virginia Bottomley was Health Secretary (see post ‘The Defence Of The Realm’). She knew exactly what was happening in north Wales. Not only that, but somebody was co-ordinating this frantic reconstruction of the image of health and social care in north Wales, while knowing damn well that those who had run the trafficking ring were still employed. It was at this time that Richard Tranter arrived disguised as a Nice Young Doctor from Oxford. Tranter turned out to be as lethal and dishonest as his colleagues, but very much more socially skilled. As the net closed in a few years ago and talk began of re-opening the investigation into the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal, Tranter emigrated to New Zealand.

In 1995, Bangor University acquired a new VC, Professor Roy Evans, who had previously worked in a senior position at Cardiff University, after the well-disguised paedophiles’ friend Prof Eric Sunderland decided to retire, despite being not very old, in excellent health and continuing his relationship with the University for another 20 years. Roy Evans managed the University in such a way that those who facilitated the sex abuse gang benefited. The School of Nursing began offering degrees and pompousing as never before, yet the ‘lecturers’ in that School were nothing more than Angels who had previously abused patients in the local hospitals. Local Angels told me that it was the worst Angels who headed for jobs in the School of Nursing – now known as the School of Healthcare Sciences – which was probably why there was such a problem with bullying in that School. Meri Huws, a former social worker who was a colleague of the paedophile gang, was appointed Head of the Dept of Lifelong Learning and that Dept fell apart within a few years, amidst complaints and litigation from staff. Roy Evans retired just before I began my PhD and senior staff were all heaving sighs of relief that he had gone. It was many years before a retired member of staff explained to me that Roy was a disaster because he colluded with all the old masters of the trafficking gang. See post ‘Heart Of Darkness’ for further details of the shenanigans involving Eric Sunderland and Roy Evans.

Carlo was Chancellor of Bangor University when Roy Evans was appointed and while Evans did his best to destroy the University.

Meanwhile down in Somerset, some people were becoming very wealthy indeed.

Just after I had finished my PhD, I contacted Phil Thomas regarding something that he’d published. He was ever so nice and friendly and we exchanged e mails, drafts of publications and then had a phone conversation. I didn’t realise that although I’d told Phil that I remembered him from the Hergest Unit, Phil had presumed that I was a former member of staff. Well Empowered Service Users don’t write PhDs on Bourdieu do they, not even with ‘Mad In America’ liberating us all. When I finally spoke to Phil on the phone, he cheerily asked me if I was the clin psych from Swansea who frequented the Hergest Unit. I said no, I’m me – and explained who I was, the patient who remembered him. There was a deathly silence and Phil asked ‘were you one of Tony Francis’s patients?’ And I said ‘yes, it’s me, I was the one who held the protests against Dafydd Alun Jones being allowed into that unit.’ Phil paused and said ‘Well I think that was the sanest thing that anyone ever did in that Unit’. He then rang off. I never spoke to Phil again, but I did receive an e mail saying that he thought that it was probably best that we didn’t work on anything together, but gosh I had done well for myself getting that PhD.

They must have had their heads in their hands in despair. ‘Oh God, oh please no, she’s got a PhD, Brown’s now a Professor, they’re writing letters to the broadsheets, she’s been in ‘The Guardian’, She Knows Cos She Was There…KILL THEM, IT’S THE ONLY SOLUTION…’

Geoffrey Pimm wasn’t the only person who helped Edward du Cann make that miraculous comeback from bankruptcy and public disgrace in 1993 so quickly.

Du Cann didn’t have to pay all the tax that he owed the Inland Revenue because someone had agreed to du Cann’s bankruptcy petition and 13 days later Geoffrey Pimm had thus helpfully automatically dismissed the matter of income tax owing, just days before du Cann’s solicitors applied to have the bankruptcy order lifted.

One thing that people owed money by businesses in trouble don’t really want to happen is to see the folk who owe them money go bankrupt, because they probably won’t get the money that is owed to them if they do. Yet readers might remember from my post ‘Conference At Cold Comfort Farm’ that it was the solicitors who had ‘previously acted’ for du Cann who petitioned for his bankruptcy, claiming that du Cann hadn’t paid their bill. Those solicitors were Denton, Hall, Burgin & Warrens.

Denton, Hall, Burgin & Warrens are listed as having been Incorporated in Jan 1992 and were established as a ‘non-trading company’. The company is now listed as having been dissolved. The Directors were named as ‘Gray’s Inn Secretaries Ltd’ – they were the ‘Company Secretary appointed 9 Jan 1993’;  DWS Directors Ltd – they were the ‘Director appointed 9 Jan 1993’; and Dentons Managers UKMEA Ltd – they were the ‘Director appointed 9 Jan 1993’.

Although the company is listed as being dissolved, a very successful company which is clearly a descendant of Denton, Hall, Burgin & Warrens still exists. The website Dentons.com provides a timeline displaying the numerous different partnerships, variations, additions etc that the company has undergone from its origins as Warrens in 1742. A perusal of the timeline confirms that Dentons.com has at various times, involved Dentons, Hall, Burgin and Warrens.

Dentons is described on Linked In thus: ‘Dentons is a global law firm driven to provide you with the competitive edge in an increasingly complex and interconnected marketplace. We were formed by the March 2013 combination of international law firm Salans LLP, Canadian law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) and international law firm SNR Denton’.

According to the company’s wiki entry, ‘Denton Wilde Sapte LLP’ (informally Dentons) was an international law firm headquartered in London, UK. It merged with the United States-based law firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in September 2010, forming SNR Denton. At the time of the merger, Denton Wilde Sapte had 16 offices and employed around 610 lawyers.

I don’t know enough about company law to know exactly what this firm of solicitors did when they briefly invented themselves as Denton, Hall, Burgin & Warrens, but whatever it was, it seemed to have been done for no other reason than to ensure that Edward du Cann did not have to pay the massive amount that he owed to the Inland Revenue.

Earlier this week the National Archives released a batch of Gov’t papers under the 30 year rule. Among the revelations were that Thatcher’s Gov’t drew up a secret blacklist of its own civil servants thought to be ‘subversives’ in order to keep them under observation and block their promotion. Whitehall departments worked with MI5 to identify 1,420 civil servants to be closely watched and, where possible, kept away from computers and revenue collection roles. The majority, 733 people, were identified as Trotskyists and a further 607 as communists. Forty-five were said to be fascists and 35 Welsh or Scottish nationalists, ‘black or Asian racial extremists’ or anarchists. MI5 also compiled lists of suspect local councillors and active trade unionists deemed to be of similar concern.

Because central Gov’t did not directly employ health workers, it was unable to compile a list of ‘subversives’ in the NHS ‘without alerting those concerned, with a high risk of public exposure of our investigation’. The Gov’t overcame similar problems in the surveillance of teachers by arranging for school inspectors to report directly to MI5.

The school inspectors in north Wales were colluding with Dafydd and the paedophiles.

The Cabinet Office told ‘The Guardian’ that it regarded all this as an historical matter. After initially refusing to confirm or deny whether such blacklist operations still existed, a spokesperson later said: ‘The inter-departmental group on Subversion in Public Life (SPL) is no longer in operation and there is no other unit conducting similar work.’

Somehow I find it hard to believe that Thatch was sufficiently concerned by the plight of benefit claimants to have been fired up into action in terms of asking MI5 to start vetting everybody in public life.

Sir Kenneth Stowe, the Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health, alerted the Cabinet Secretary, Sir Robert Armstrong, that three key organisers of the strike appeared to be members of the Trotskyist Militant Tendancy movement. Armstrong and other senior civil servants then decided to revive the SPL, a 1970s Whitehall body.

Kenneth Stowe’s background and rise to power was detailed in my post ‘Additional Security Measures’. Stowe spent virtually his entire civil service career in Health/DHSS until in 1973 he joined the Cabinet Office under Heath. In 1975 Cabinet Secretary and paedophiles’ friend John – later Lord – Hunt proposed that Stowe should replace Harold Wilson’s Principal Private Secretary, who was leaving. It was considered an unusual appointment due to Stowe’s lack of Treasury experience. Stowe was Principal Private Secretary to Wilson, Callaghan and for a very short while Thatch. Stowe then served as Permanent Secretary in the N Ireland Office until 1981, when he was appointed Permanent Secretary at the DHSS, helping Norman Fowler conceal the mountain of abuse and crime in the NHS/social services.

Stowe had all the shit on the paedophiles and their friends going back decades.

Previous posts have mentioned the key role that the Athenaeum played in the lives of the paedophiles’ friends. The Athenaeum is the club favoured by Top Doctors and there was outrage after Savile’s death when it was revealed that he had been appointed to the management team of Broadmoor Hospital as a result of some cosy chats over a few meals at the Athenaeum, attended by mandarins and Health Ministers (see post ‘Socio-Political Context Of The North Wales Mental Health Services In The 1980s’).

The Athenaeum was obviously the place to be seen.  When Stowe was Callaghan’s PPS, Callaghan was invited to join the Athenauem. He then took Stowe for a nosh there. Jimmy Savile became a member of the Athenaeum after being introduced by Cardinal Basil Hume. The other members were horrified, but by club rules, Basil Hume would have been obliged to resign if Savile had been rejected, so the idiots went ahead and accepted him. Interestingly enough Basil introduced Savile to the Athenaeum in 1984, as the voices of Mary Wynch, Alison Taylor and I would not be silenced regarding the paedophiles of north Wales.

Cardinal Basil Hume’s sister Madeleine was married to John Hunt, the Cabinet Secretary. Hume’s father was Top Doctor, Professor of Medicine at Durham University and physician at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sir William Errington Hume. Sir William died in 1960, but the paedophile ring in the north east directly linked to Dafydd’s gang in north Wales was established by then. Newcastle University, along with Durham University, hosted scores of Top Docs and others who concealed the crimes of Dafydd et al, some of whom subsequently relocated to work in north Wales (see posts ‘The Newcastle-upon-Tyne Connection’ and ‘A Study In Tyranny’). Lord John Walton was Mr Big of Medicine and Mr Big of Newcastle and spent years protecting Dafydd (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’). Professor Eric Sunderland who was appointed Principal of UCNW just when the paedophiles’ friends desperately needed assistance had spent his career at Durham University.

Basil Hume has been accused of concealing child abuse at Ampleforth and of ignoring it in the wider Catholic Church. Helpful readers are sending me information about Cherie and Tony’s Catholic connections, but I haven’t had time to read it all yet…

Blair’s political stronghold was/is in the north east. His own constituency was located there, as were the constituencies of many of his loyalists, including dear old Mo Mowlam, N Ireland’s sweetheart. Who knew about that paedophile ring in the north east for years.

Stowe will have been someone who not only knew of the practices of Dafydd and the paedophiles, but ensured that Dafydd et al remained completely protected. Stowe was of such value to Lord John Hunt and successive PMs precisely because of this knowledge.

Stowe was Chair of the Institute of Cancer Research at the Royal Marsden, 1987-97. Stowe was Chair when the Royal Marsden was involved in the 1990 Bristol Cancer Help Centre scandal, which resulted from a research fraud with which one of Tony Francis’s former colleagues was involved. The scandal resulted in the (presumed) suicide of Prof Tim McElwain. See posts ‘Reports Of Death Were Greatly Exaggerated’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’.

Sir – later Lord – Robert Armstrong has been a loyal paedophiles’ friend throughout his long career. Robert Armstrong was Principal Private Secretary to Ted Heath, 1970-75. Between 1979-87 he was Cabinet Secretary under Margaret Thatcher. He was elevated to the peerage in 1988 and sits as a cross-bencher. It was Robert Armstrong who, in 1986, coined the phrase ‘economical with the truth’ when he was giving evidence in the Spycatcher trial.

Armstrong admitted that he knew about the paedophilia of Sir Peter Hayman, the British diplomat who was a member of PIE. Armstrong stated: ‘I was aware of it at the time but I was not concerned with the personal aspect of it’. It was Armstrong who gave Thatcher a veiled warning not to give Jimmy Savile a knighthood because of the allegations of child sexual abuse swirling around him – advice that Thatcher ignored. It July 2015, the Mail Online reported that in 1986, the then head of MI5 Sir Antony Duff wrote to Armstrong and told him that an MP had a ‘penchant for small boys’. Armstrong’s response was that ‘at the present stage…the risks of political embarrassment to the Government is rather greater than the security danger’. It is believed that the MP referred to by Sir Antony was Sir Peter Morrison.

Armstrong was Chancellor of the University of Hull, 1994-2006 and until 2013, the Chairman of the Sir Edward Heath Charitable Fund. For more information on Armstrong, see post ‘Lord Robert Armstrong’.

The miners’ strike had been continuing for nine months by the time that Thatch demanded that the civil service was trawled for subversives and Ministers and officials were increasingly anxious that industrial unrest could threaten the stability of the Gov’t. I will be blogging about the miners’ strike and the movements of those behind the scenes soon, I’ve just got a stack of relevant material that I want to read first.

At a meeting with the Head of MI5, Sir John Jones and two senior MI5 officers, Royd Barker and Stella Rimington – who went on to lead the organisation – Armstrong was told that the agency was ‘very ready’ to assist.

The SPL was quickly established, with representatives from MI5, Scotland Yard’s Special Branch and each of the major Gov’t departments. It had four staff members – including Barker and Rimington – and produced annual reports. A group of civil service Permanent Secretaries, known as the subversion (home) committee, was also established to oversee the SPL. It defined subversion as ‘activities which threaten the wellbeing of the state and are intended to undermine or overthrow Parliamentary democracy by political, industrial or violent means’. By matching staff records against MI5 files, the SPL came to the conclusion that there were 1,420 ‘subversives’ in the civil service, including 52 in Customs and Excise, 169 at the Inland Revenue and 111 at the Ministry of Defence, many of them at the Royal Naval dockyards at Rosyth. The largest number, however, 360, were said to be at the Department of Health.

The SPL was clearly most concerned with members of Militant Tendency, reporting that it was ‘the largest and most threatening Trotskyist group in Britain’ and that its membership had quadrupled over six years to 6,300. The SPL also reported in 1985 that 284 members of Militant were civil servants. Three years later, the figure had grown to around 450.

Senior civil servants were informed that they should consult MI5 before moving ‘subversives’ to any new post. ‘It would need to be a covert process, because any systematic barring of known subversives from certain work would be contentious,’ they were told.

Armstrong recorded that he was most concerned about computer operators, revenue collectors and people who had contact with the public.

The need for the utmost secrecy is stressed repeatedly throughout the files that have been made available. One SPL Chair, John Chilcot, wrote in June 1988: ‘It is right on balance to continue with this exercise, despite its acute sensitivity and the high risk of embarrassment in the event of any leak.’

The papers also show that MI5 mounted an operation to identify ‘subversives’ teaching at eight schools in inner London. The Office for Standards in Education said school inspectors had not reported directly to MI5 since it took over the work of HM Inspectors in 1992.

Some pages within the files passed to the National Archives have been withheld by the Cabinet Office under the section of the Public Records Acts that covers national security concerns.

The files show that Thatcher was not shown the annual SPL reports. She and her Home Secretaries, Leon Brittan and Douglas Hurd, were shown SPL’s recommendations and the appendices that detailed the number of ‘subversives’ within each department.

Thatcher informed Armstrong in Dec 1985 that she believed managers should be ‘very ready to sack subversive troublemakers if they showed any cause under the civil service rules’. She was also ‘somewhat disquieted’ to learn that there were a handful of ‘subversives’ above the rank of higher executive officer.

Rimington went on to become MI5’s Director General. In her 2001 memoir, ‘Open Secret’, Rimington describes how she was appointed as Assistant Director of one of the agency’s counter-subversion sections in 1983. ‘We worked to the principle that the activities of organisations or individuals with subversive intent was of concern to us; the right to set up and join pressure groups and to protest was not. We gave a great deal of careful thought to this distinction, and to establishing what we should and should not investigate and report on. I believe we got it right, though it would be foolish to claim that no mistake was ever made,’ she writes.

Stella, while you and Thatch obsessed over ‘subversives’ who might be supporters of Militant, a vicious gang of sex traffickers targeted me. Because I and then Brown dared complain about them, you came after us – because we were ‘subversives’. We were so subversive that Brown’s dad was a senior Army Officer who spent his time supping with Chief Constables and attending garden parties at Buck House and my whole family were paid up Tories, a number of whom had actively campaigned for the Tory Party. My grandfather was offered a knighthood for ‘services to politics’ because he worked so hard for the Tory Party, but being grandpa he turned it down and stated that he did what he did because he believed in it, rather than because he wanted an honour. Oh is that why you tried to murder his granddaughter? Pissed off that he wasn’t one of the new trashy Tories who said anything that was convenient and who’s party bosses paid good money to Saatchi and Saatchi to tell lies to voters?

TOM KING: grandpa – and my father actually – were firmly of the opinion that you were in this category. Looks like he was right.

This lot just lost it, they went completely mad. Nearly all of us who were targeted because of my encounters with Dafydd and the gang were from Tory families who had grown up among the Sir Bufton Tuftons and Sir Herbert Gussetts of the shires. None of us were even members of Militant. One of us knew someone involved with Class War and everyone considered the man from Class War a tosser. Some of us did become involved with leftist groups eventually, but don’t worry Stella, we parted company with them when we found out that they too were ignoring the serious abuse of vulnerable people because of the left’s determination to show ‘support’ for the NHS.

Many of the events that I have described on this blog happened when Stella was busy employing the services of SPL group. Some of the mad or simply unpleasant people whom we encountered who caused us so much grief, who stole from us, who told people that I was ‘dangerous’ and told Brown’s students and colleagues that he was a ‘paedophile’ were employed by MI5 or Special Branch. I am aware of counter-espionage and that there was a battle going on between different factions of the security services, but I remember what happened to me Stella. I was left to die after a serious illness, my friend was killed and then I and every other witness was hounded out of job after job after job. If you did have anyone trying to help us, they were spectacularly ineffective. They were however highly effective in helping Dafydd and the paedophiles.

In the wake of the revelations regarding the depths of madness to which Thatch and her Home Secretaries sunk, it was gobsmacking to read that the think tank Policy Exchange is suggesting that ‘life imprisonment’ should be introduced for ‘enemies of the state’ who commit ‘treason’; the last person convicted of treason was of course William Joyce aka Law Haw-Haw. Now if ‘treason’ was to be interpreted as a gang of NHS and social care professionals running a sex trafficking ring and politicians colluding, perhaps there might be a reason for waxing lyrical about treason. But treason won’t be interpreted as that will it. Treason will be ‘gaining substantial evidence that Dafydd is running a paedophile gang, one of the members being linked to the Royal Family’ or ‘wearing one of those Spartist little black caps that Jeremy Corbyn used to wear’. I’m tempted to suggest that treason could just be defined as voting Labour, but voting for the Windbag, or Blair or the drip Ed would still be a vote for the paedophiles. As is a vote for Plaid, for the Lib Dems or indeed anyone else. Because we mustn’t upset the Top Docs. Brown and I spilt their pints when we were 20 and look what is still happening now that we’re 55.

There is a long and glorious history of prioritising sex offenders over Brown and I. I have explained how the paedophiles’ friends were paying people in Somerset to keep quiet about what was happening to us and also to smear us. I also mentioned that when we were in the sixth form, the man who drove the sixth formers to Bridgwater College had served a prison sentence for abusing children and denounced Brown and I as ‘really strange’. The bus driver is dead now, so I’m happy to name him as Mick Parkin. Years after Mick Parkin came out of prison, his long suffering wife finally left him, because, she told people, of Mick’s ‘carrying ons with children’. Who, at that very time was scuttling around Somerset telling people how Mick thought that Brown and I were really strange? Only the one girl in the village who a few years later became a police officer. She was a neighbour of Mick’s and he was fine by her. This particular girl also covered herself in glory when we were 14 and an older girl at school became pregnant. WPC Young or whatever her fucking title later was gloried in telling the other kids that the girl who’d become pregnant ‘hadn’t been brought up properly’. There was a happy ending though, the baby was born with spina bifida and died. The bereaved teenager was told by everyone that it was one problem out of the way.
Then there was the other sex offender in a neighbouring village, a young man who did gardening and window cleaning. Concern was expressed by some regarding his habit of exposing himself but nothing really was said about it. One night he broke into a disabled woman’s home and sexually assaulted her. There was no action taken against him.
In your constituency Lord King! While you were an MP and the Cabinet of which you were part were in hot pursuit of Brown and me.
More recently I heard that one of the girls with whom I had been at school was now working as a prison officer and was guarding a celebrity prisoner – Gary Glitter, who did of course have a house at Wedmore in Somerset. Everybody maxed out on their disgust of Gary Glitter. Including the prison officer, whom I remember when she was in her late teens was a close friend of a very predatory bunch of young men who were sexually exploiting underaged girls…
There is a great deal of hypocrisy and confusion saturating the whole field of sexually exploitative behaviour and those frothing at the mouth about paedophiles and perverts or bellyaching on about ‘safeguarding’ seem to be so often rather close to abusers themselves…
A bit more regarding the benefits that were enjoyed by one of the Somerset contingent when he was receiving a great deal of money from paedophiles’ friends in high places, holidays to Japan, guest appearances on TV etc as described in my post ‘Upper Class Twit Of The Year – Shooting Themselves’. He also found himself taken to a Pro Celebrity Golf Tournament! Among the stars with whom he mingled were that twattish actor off East Enders who played the car dealer, Frank Butcher and a young Tiger Woods!
The actor who played Frank Butcher was a real-life friend of Barbara Windsor.
Who starred in ‘Carry On Doctor’.

Ooh matron…

I have been sent two interesting news stories from the past which I somehow missed.

In Oct 2016 the Rev Mark Carey, the son of George Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, was arrested over an allegation that in the 1980s he sexually abused a child. The Rev Carey was suspended by the Diocese of Leeds after a complaint was filed with Durham Constabulary. In April 2017 the Rev Mark Carey was cleared.

The Rev Mark Carey may have indeed been completely innocent, he may have been subjected to a thorough and fair investigation and might have been subsequently rightly cleared. However his dad George hasn’t really done Mark’s reputation any favours now that it had been revealed that George undoubtedly concealed the sex offences of Bishop Peter Ball for years.

In June 2005 Wales Online reported on a huge row at Swansea NHS Trust involving a paediatric neurosurgeon, Tim Buxton. It was stated that Tim Buxton, who had been suspended on full pay for two years, had now been dismissed by the Trust after ‘an irretrievable breakdown in relationships’ with his colleagues. Tim Buxton’s defenders claimed that he was ‘an internationally renowned consultant who was dismissed as a consequence of a bitter campaign to retain paediatric neurosurgery at Morriston Hospital’, after it had been decided that the Morriston should only offer an emergency service and that inpatient paediatric neurosurgery in south Wales should be carried out at Cardiff.

Dr Dai Lloyd, a GP and the Plaid AM for South Wales West, was defending Tim Buxton and was quoted as saying that the only reason why Tim had been sacked was that ‘he’d stood up for the future of his own unit and this is pay back time’.

It was admitted in the news report that although Tim Buxton himself had been suspended after complaints made in 2003 – the nature of the complaints and who made them was not given – his unit at Swansea was in serious difficulty. The NHS had issued a statement referring to communication problems, problems in relationships between staff and stating that ‘new leadership’ was probably needed. I am very familiar with NHS-speak and the comments provided regarding that unit could only have meant that it was in a dreadful state with consultants at each others throats and trying to blow each other out of the water while patients were caught in the cross-fire. Patients will have been in danger as well, but no-one ever dares mention that as they bollock on about ‘communication’ and ‘leadership’.

Buxton himself was clearly livid that he was being questioned and he talked about the need to bring in mediators to ‘mend relationships in difficulty’.

Things at Swansea were obviously as bad as they could be. People in the NHS only begin to talk about bringing in mediators when the staff are behaving so badly that the situation has become frankly so embarrassing that it cannot be concealed or excused. Neither does the mediation work, because by then things are unresolveable. Mediators are also called in when something so serious has happened that there is potential for litigation regarding matters that it would attract headlines. Any other organisation would have sacked those involved years before, but no, the NHS will bring in mediators after years of ignoring an ever-worsening mess which has usually resulted in at least a few patient deaths.

In 2003 my lawyers had the NW Wales NHS Trust bang to rights. We demonstrated that I had been assaulted by staff and injured, refused access to the police to report the assault, subsequently refused treatment unlawfully, harassed in public by NHS staff and that members of the public who had witnessed some of these events had been insulted and threatened by NHS staff. It was known by then that the Hergest Unit was in meltdown, the suicide rate was one of the highest in the UK and some GPs were refusing to refer patients there because they were of the opinion that it was dangerous.

So the NW Wales Trust told my solicitor that they’d organise ‘mediation’. I felt like rolling my eyes at this after all that I had been through, but my solicitor said no, you’ve got to give them a chance. The Trust called in mediators and footed the bill. The staff who had assaulted and injured me refused to attend the mediation. Every member of staff but one who had been involved in the failure to investigate my complaint or ensure that I had access to treatment refused to sit in the same room as me. So I sat in a room with my lawyer and the mediators, while people who had lied about me to the police and unlawfully refused me treatment sat in another room and sent messages through. One member of staff did agree to sit in the room with me, Dr Tony Roberts, the ‘clinical director’ of the Hergest Unit, who had been responsible for ordering every other Top Doctor in north Wales not to treat me. I asked Tony Roberts ONE question – not rudely, no swearing, just one question regarding his orchestrating of the complete withdrawal of NHS treatment for me. He snapped ‘I’m not going to listen to this’ and walked out of the room. He had been in the room for approximately three minutes. The hospital solicitor Patricia Gaskell ran out of the room after Roberts and begged him to return. Roberts walked away. The mediators subsequently wrote to the Trust and told them that the situation was unmediable.

Keith Thomson, Chief Exec of the NW Wales NHS Trust, subsequently wrote to my solicitor stating that the mediation had broken down because of ‘your client’s behaviour’. That was the end of the matter as far as Thomson was concerned and I continued to be refused treatment unlawfully.

Tony Roberts at the time had the highest suicide rate among his female patients across the whole of England and Wales except for Top Docs in Camden. Other Hergest patients as well as I had written to the Secretary of State for Wales such was our despair at the ‘service’. Keith Thomson declared us to be ‘attention seekers’.

Patients continued to die at the Hergest Unit. Some three years ago it was made public that a ‘secret report’ had been written about the Hergest Unit confirming that problems there were terrible and that patient safety was compromised. The Betsi had concealed the report. The author of the report was an ‘independent consultant’, Robin Holden. Robin Holden recommended ‘sensitive mediation’ between staff .

Robin Holden was previously an Angel at the North Wales Hospital Denbigh. Following that, Robin Holden was the manager of the Hergest Unit, where he refused to investigate serious complaints, lied to patients and colluded with the forging of documents (see post ‘A Solicitor’s Letter From North East Wales MIND’). Holden had managed the Hergest Unit just before I was assaulted and injured by staff there.

Is there any other organisation on the planet which would recommend ‘mediation’ after violent criminals had spent years assaulting and injuring people, committing perjury and conspiring to pervert the course of justice when a lawyer had finally gathered enough evidence to put them on trial?

I have no idea whether Tim Buxton and his colleagues were guilty of anything like the sort of misconduct that I witnessed at the Hergest Unit. I did consider that Tim just might have been a whistleblower, that is usually the only circumstances in which a consultant is sacked. It was mentioned by Wales Online that the NHS had searched for other positions for Tim Buxton across Wales and England ‘without success’. So no-one wanted to employ Tim. If Tim was a whistleblower, that is precisely what would happen.

There is one factor however that causes me to suspect that Tim was not a whistleblower and had not been dismissed simply for defending his unit. That is that Tim was being supported by the BMA, who had stated that if Tim’s forthcoming appeal against dismissal – which was being conducted through the BMA – was unsuccessful, the BMA ‘would not hesitate to launch a legal challenge on Tim Buxton’s behalf’. The BMA had stated that there ‘is no doubt that he has suffered’.

Who from the BMA was making the statements and representing Tim Buxton? One Tony Chadwick, the Deputy Welsh Secretary of the BMA. Tony Chadwick is also known as AH Chadwick and he has been supporting suffering Top Doctors for many years. Tony Chadwick’s name is all over my documents. For years during the late 1980s and early 1990s, Tony Chadwick was advising Tony Francis and the other ‘BMA psychiatrists’ in north Wales regarding me. Chadwick was cc’d into letters discussing how I could be held responsible for offences for which there was no evidence that I had ever committed and how this could be used as a basis for transferring me without trial to a secure hospital. Chadwick knew that I had complained about being illegally imprisoned one two occasions and he knew that I had detailed the most serious abuses of patients and associated crime on the part of the ‘BMA psychiatrists’. He was fully aware that none of the complaints had been investigated. Chadwick offered his full support to Francis and the ‘BMA psychiatrists’ and was popping up to Bangor to meet them. Chadwick agreed that I was a problem who had to be dealt with and he was most concerned about the way in which Francis and others were suffering at my hands. See previous posts for details.

So Tony Chadwick’s robust defence of Tim Buxton does not mean that Tim has behaved perfectly. Tim could be running a paedophile gang and Tony Chadwick would still do all he could to help him and criminalise any patient who complained.

Tony Chadwick has disappeared from the internet since I began this blog.

Tony Chadwick and the BMA came up trumps for Mr Buxton though. In Feb 2009, Wales Online reported that Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust, the successor to Swansea NHS Trust, had been ordered to repay Buxton £500k after a High Court hearing. The case had not finished and it was estimated that the Trust would end up paying Buxton nearly £1 million. Buxton seemed to have won his case on a technicality, the Trust having used the ‘wrong procedures’ for dismissing him. Not that the wrong procedures which were used had involved people shoving custard pies in Tim’s face and de-bagging him, there had just been a very minor breach of protocol which the BMA lawyers had managed to find after four years of intensive scrutiny. And no doubt if necessary they’d have forged a few documents.

There’s another reason why the BMA would have been able to get Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust to fees up and cough up for dear old Tim. The BMA knew about Tony Francis and his wrongdoing, after all Tony Chadwick had helped them all out years previously. That would have been a powerful factor in 2009. Because by then, the NHS in north Wales was in meltdown, there had been a constant stream of deaths at the Hergest Unit and the mistreatment of one Sally Baker had become so high profile that it could not be ignored any longer.

The Health Secretary in Feb 2009 was Edwina Hart. She had tried to take on the paedophiles’ friends but had been reminded of how much shit they had on her from her previous activities as Chair of the Wales TUC. Edwina’s husband Bob was also Chair of Wales TUC. In that capacity they had both concealed the crimes of the paedophiles’ friends. It was the BMA who were leading the ‘Edwina out’ campaign. Edwina had received enough evidence from me to begin a police investigation into the conduct of the Chair and the CEO of the North West Wales NHS Trust. She did not follow up my complaints after the CEO and Chair just ignored her requests to ‘investigate and resolve the situation’. Edwina knew that I had been refused all NHS treatment for any condition and had been repeatedly wrongfully arrested on the orders of the Chair and CEO of the Trust. Neither of them ever faced any action. Edwina hated them but they all had so much shit on each other that they were paralysed. Edwina was the AM for the Gower, near Swansea. At the time that Buxton hit the jackpot, Edwina was leading a Brave Campaign to retain NHS services, including neurosurgery, at Swansea.

  • “You’ve all done very well!” | News | Academic Appointments

After I demonstrated that I was completely unable to access NHS treatment, I asked Edwina if private provision could be made for me. She flatly refused and it was explained to me that Edwina was ideologically against any sort of private care.

Tim Buxton can be seen on the internet listed as a Top Doctor offering private care through BUPA.

No wonder Edwina ended up giving business support grants to people with whom she’d had sex when she was Minister for Business and Enterprise, could one ever imagine anyone getting themselves in such a pickle in terms of being compromised?

Wales Online reported that in Feb 2009 Tim Buxton’s rep from the BMA was by then Andrew Cross. Tony Chadwick must have been busy elsewhere fighting on behalf of people traffickers. It was explained that Buxton had been supported by his family, by politicians and his patients. Dr Richard Lewis, the Welsh Secretary for the BMA, told Wales Online that ‘it was astonishing that while patients recognise the importance of retaining the expert skills of Buxton, the Trust was blind to it’.

It is highly likely that patients did support Tim Buxton, because even if he had have been harming them, it will have been concealed. They will have all have been reassured repeatedly by everyone that Mr Buxton was an internationally renowned neurosurgeon who was doing his best. If patients died as a result of his incompetence, no-one would have been told, it would simply have been explained that the patient was seriously ill, that the operation was a difficult one and that poor old Tim was mortified to have lost a patient.

When Tony Francis fell out with his own colleagues in the late 1990s, I and other patients robustly supported him. We could see that he was being treated appallingly by the other ‘BMA psychiatrists’ and we hated them anyway because they had been so dreadful to us. None of us had any idea that Francis was just as mad and dangerous as they were, because he had better social skills than his colleagues and our medical records had been witheld from us so none of us knew what he had written on there and was trying to do to us. We had all had run-ins with Tony Francis over the years and witnessed him losing control and doing and saying some odd things. Whenever we raised concerns we were simply reassured that Tony was very sorry, he didn’t mean to upset us, he was ill, he was in pain and he was suffering from depression, so please could we understand his situation. He was ill, we knew that, so being the axe wielding maniacs that we were, we were sympathetic to Francis and gave him the benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile he was conspiring to have us framed for serious offences and banged up.

The world caught up with Tony in the end and after Operation Pallial was launched, he killed himself. His wife told everyone that it was because of me. I hadn’t seen him for years and I was actually in Scotland when I received an e mail from a friend telling me that he’d killed himself. I was in Scotland because it had become far too dangerous for me to remain in north Wales and no-one would respond to my concerns about the policeman with a gun who was threatening me and my friends or the cars that had tried to run me off the road.

OK Sadie, it was all my fault. You lot ran a sex trafficking gang, everyone was either involved or terrified, the gang got bigger and bigger and more and more powerful with politicians in their pocket and Tony finally going over the edge and killing himself was all my fault. Because I had dared complain about the gang twenty years previously.

No-one seems to know how Tony Francis killed himself. One person told me that they thought that he’d hung himself. Brown observed that if he did, he must have been in a very bad way indeed. Top Doctors don’t usually hang themselves. It is a slow and unpleasant way of dying because one is strangled to death. During the process, most people change their minds and try to get the rope off but can’t. The bodies of the deceased usually have injuries to the fingers where they have desperately grappled with the rope. Top Docs are able to prescribe themselves powerful drugs which will kill them painlessly, so I wonder why Francis didn’t do that, particularly as he was on opiates for pain relief anyway.

A number of the ‘suicides’ of the victims of the paedophile gang in north Wales were almost certainly murders. Former kids in care and mental health patients were found hanging on a regular basis, sometimes in situations which they would not have been able to have arranged themselves. There were never any questions asked, just as there were no questions asked about all those inmates of Risley Remand Centre’s hospital wing who were found hanging.

Presumably no-one suspected that Tony Francis’s death was a murder disguised as a suicide, although Tony was someone who would have had a great deal of information regarding the Mr Bigs behind the Westminster Paedophile Ring. If murder had been suspected, Sadie would have had me arrested wouldn’t she.

Thanks for not pinning that one on me Sadie! It was simply just all my fault, it wasn’t actually me who had committed the murder…

As for Tim Buxton, obviously he was happy with his jackpot, but he did explain to Wales Online that the ‘strapping financial constraints’ had been difficult and that he had been living on just one seventh of his usual income. I take Tim’s comments to be more of a reflection on how huge his ‘normal income’ is, rather than any suggestion that the BMA opened a soup kitchen to keep him alive.

As for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University NHS Trust who had been stung by this unholy alliance between the Top Docs, the BMA and utterly shameless politicians, the Chairman of the Trust Win Griffiths stated that he was ‘disappointed’ with the High Court judgement, but that the Trust would adhere to it.

Win Griffiths is a former teacher who was the Labour MP for Bridgend, 1987-05; the MEP for South Wales, 1979-89: and a junior Minister in the Welsh Office, 1997-98. Win was a mate of Rhodri Morgan’s, Win knew about Dafydd and the paedophiles in north Wales, Win knew about George Thomas in south Wales and Win knew about Ron Davies. Win knew that patients in north Wales were being grossly abused and fitted up by NHS and social services staff. Win never uttered a word about any of it. After leaving politics, Win became Chair of WCVA – in which capacity he ignored the collusion of the Third sector with the abuse of vulnerable people – and the Chair of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust. So after a career of colluding with criminal and abusive Top Docs, Win was stung for the best part of £1 million quid by the BMA.

As ye sow, so shall ye reap Win…

What of Tim Buxton’s Loyal Supporter, GP Dr Dai Lloyd, the Plaid AM for South Wales West?  Back in 2005 when Tim was fuming at being sacked, Dai wanted Dr Brian Gibbons to intervene. Gibbons was then the Health Minister and was the best mate of many a paedophiles’ friend and abusive Top Doc. When I wrote to Gibbons and told him that I had documentary evidence of serious crime on the part of NHS staff in north Wales, Gibbons wrote back and told me that this correspondence was over. Presumably poor old Gibbons didn’t rush to the aid of Tim Buxton either, perhaps Gibbons was just paralysed into inaction under all circumstances.

Dai Lloyd was born in Tywyn in Gwynedd in 1956 and studied at the Welsh National School of Medicine, qualifying in 1980. Dai knows all about Dafydd and the gang as well as the people such as Prof Kenneth Rawnsley in the Welsh National School of Medicine who protected them then. Dai will also have known about the huge problems in the Welsh National School of Medicine which were concealed for years. Perhaps as a result of the University Hospital of Cardiff’s deep and meaningful relationship with the child molester George Thomas.

So Tim Buxton picked up a million quid, the BMA lawyers were paid handsomely and the spineless politicians who didn’t dare do anything but support the internationally renowned neurosurgeon who was Tim, although they all knew how much blood there was on the carpet at the Morriston Hospital, remained in their well-paid jobs. Dai continued to enjoy an income as a GP as well as an AM. Even Win Griffiths remained in his well-remunerated public positions. The public still do not know if any disability or deaths sustained during neurosurgery at the Morriston were unavoidable or the consequence of a load of mad bastards who hated each other and refused to work together.

The usual contingent won the day.
