A Legend Lives

BBC News Wales have reported that 46,000 patients have had to find new Top Doctors in the past five years after GPs practices have shut. Last year’s closures were the highest in the five-year period, with the BMA saying the closures put ‘extra pressure’ on the system. The situation is particularly bad in north Wales, with many patients, including the elderly, having to travel many miles to see a GP. The patients will be on buses as well, not in expensive cars like the Top Docs.

Dr Charlotte Jones, Chair of the BMA’s GP Committee Wales, said surgeries were struggling to stay afloat due to problems recruiting and retaining doctors, the ‘sheer volume’ of workloads, ‘under-resourcing’ and ‘overwhelming bureaucracy’.

Duw it’s hard, with the Top Docs being among the highest paid people in Wales, with many of them working a whole three days/week and many now retiring at 55 yrs old .

Charlotte, can I ask if Dr D.G.E. Wood, who facilitated the trafficking gang in north Wales, is still playing a leading role in GP training in north Wales and the Royal College of GPs? In 2017 Dr Eamonn Jessup, a GP from north Wales, Spoke Out About The Crisis. Eamonn is or was a colleague of Wood’s, they were both popping over to Cyprus to hold clinics together!

BBC News Wales also reported today that homeless people in Wrexham – Wrexham now has one of the biggest homelessness problems in Wales – will be housed in shipping containers. Not permanently, that would be greedy of them. They will be housed in shipping containers over Christmas. They won’t all be able to fit into the shipping containers, because only a few shipping containers will be available and there are more homeless people than shipping containers, but at least a lucky few will have a shipping container over their heads for Christmas.

By the age of 40, D.G.E. Wood was living in the second most expensive house in the expensive (by Anglesey standards) village of Llandegfan. The most expensive house was owned by Top Doctor Terry Maxwell, the Medical Director of Ysbyty Gwynedd. Terry Maxwell presided over slaughter and scandal and was given a performance-related pay award in return for cutting the already terrible mental health services, in the run up to the Waterhouse Inquiry. After Maxwell did his best, many patients became destitute and some died. Maxwell was a heart and lung specialist who trained at Liverpool. Liverpool thought so much of Terry Maxwell that in 1984, Liverpool University rang up Terry Maxwell’s daughter Sonia and offered her a place to do medicine, even though she hadn’t applied to Liverpool. Sonia continued to turn her nose up at Liverpool and trained at one of the London hospitals instead. She returned to Gwynedd to practice as a GP in Llanberis. Sonia Maxwell is one of the GPs in Llanberis who unlawfully refused to treat a Hergest Unit patient who had complained after being wrongfully imprisoned on the basis of the perjury of Hergest staff. For further details see post ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’.

Some 20 years ago, a cardiologist from Ysbyty Gwynedd, Dr David Thomas, attempted suicide by driving his car over the edge of a mountain. He was sacked by Ysbyty Gwynedd, publicly denounced, sectioned and admitted to the Hergest Unit where all confidentiality was broken. I always wondered what it was that Dr Thomas had been so frightened of, particularly as it involved Terry Maxwell (see post ‘A Mystery From Twenty Years Ago’).

Let me remind the dedicated, committed, Top Docs of the wider UK of a few more of their activities.

Readers might remember that after Blair won his electoral landslide in May 1997, the Tories began ripping each others throats out and held a leadership contest. This was the moment that Heseltine had wanted, another chance for him to have a final stab at becoming Tory leader and eventually PM, but Hezza was getting on a bit and had previously experienced a heart attack when he was living it up in Venice in 1993. Hezza had been filmed climbing from a hospital trolley into an ambulance looking like death warmed up and later maintained that this was because he had gout. Hezza’s gout caused him to take four months off work and the gout also prevented him from conducting himself as usual ie. waving the Mace around, making weak jokes about the Labour Party, flicking his hairstyle about and generally being a tosser. He did make an appearance at the Party Conference, but what with that gout, he wasn’t up and leading them all in a rousing speech, he just entertained the crowd with a few arm movements.

The candidates for the Tory leadership in 1997 were Ken Clarke, Peter Lilley, William Hague, Michael Howard and John Redwood. Hague of course won, among much bad feeling, because the constituency parties had overwhelmingly wanted Ken Clarke, but the Parliamentary Party wanted Hague. The constituency parties were unaware that the Parliamentary Party were eternally grateful to Hague for organising the Waterhouse Inquiry, thus concealing the barrel of shit which was the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal and the key role that Thatcher’s personal friend, the Tory MP for Chester, Sir Peter Morrison – who had been found safely dead on 13 July 1995 – played in it. Bing Spear, the corrupt Chief Inspector of the Home Office Drugs Branch who was so accommodating re Dafydd (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’), had died on 9 July 1995. So that was two problems out of the way before the Waterhouse Inquiry.

Heseltine didn’t in the end stand in the leadership contest, although he was the stand-out favourite when John Major announced his resignation. Heseltine is someone who knows about the Westminster Paedophile Ring and the role that Dafydd and the gang played in it. Heseltine was the Tory MP for Tavistock in Devon, 1966-74 and knew all about his fellow Devon MP, Jeremy Thorpe. Heseltine then served as the MP for Henley, 1974-2001 and held numerous Ministerial, Shadow Cabinet and Cabinet roles, under Heath, Thatcher and Major. He was in Gov’t with Peter Morrison and Norman St John Stevas – another MP whom I was told when I worked in London was known to be abusing boys – and will have known about the rest of the allegations of organised abuse that were concealed until very recently. Heseltine came from Swansea and there was an abuse gang in west Wales with links to Dafydd’s crew in north Wales.

Even Heseltine’s much trumpeted success at regenerating Liverpool, a cause close to his heart, was achieved – if indeed it was achieved – as a result of his close working relationship with Sir Trevor Jones, the Liberal leader of Liverpool City Council. Trevor Jones was born in north Wales to Welsh parents and he was networked into the empire of Dafydd’s gang (see post ‘He Knows Where The Bodies Are Buried’). It was Heseltine who arranged for the first of five bi-annual National Garden Festivals to be held in Liverpool in 1984. Trevor Jones arranged for the City Council to delegate the bid to the Merseyside Development Corporation, of which Trevor Jones was a Director. More than 3 million people eventually attended. Two of those people were Brown and me. When Liz Stables, the Angel who worked at the Student Health Centre at Bangor University, was still pretending to be friends with Brown and me and was extracting information from us which she then relayed back to Dr D.G.E. Wood and others in Dafydd’s gang, Liz gave us a lift to Liverpool to go to the Garden Festival. Liz knew Liverpool well, she had been a teacher there in the 1960s and used to tell me about the girls in her class whom she knew were working as prostitutes. Liz kept in touch with some of them as their adult lives really hit the pits and they ended up addicted to Class A drugs, in prison etc. At the time I thought that Liz was showing genuine friendship to some people who’d had a terrible time, but now I know that Liz was mates with Dafydd et al and that Dafydd’s gang were procuring young people for sex work outside of north Wales, including in Liverpool, I find Liz’s interest in the lives of those women rather worrying. Liz left Liverpool and teaching in 1969 to train and then work as an Angel in the old C&A Hospital in Bangor, where Dafydd and the gang were operating…

My post ‘Those Who Are Ready To Serve’ provided details of Heseltine’s role in the future of Westland Helicopters, a small ailing company in Somerset, which employed Janet Mitchell, a girl who was one of my playmates when I was young and who knew what had happened/was happening to me in north Wales, who’s career took off like a rocket after Heseltine took a sudden inexplicable interest in Westland.

After deciding not to stand for the Tory leadership in 1997, Heseltine, a very rich man thanks to his property developing and publishing business, devoted himself to his arboretum and 50 acre garden. There is archive footage of Heseltine and his family being interviewed after Heseltine left politics and every one of them ends up in tears at the memory of poor old Hezza never becoming PM, including of course Hezza himself. Is it not touching that as with Thatch, the only time that these people show any emotion is when they are kicked out of high office or indeed don’t reach it?

One of the archive clips about Hezza enlightened me as to the reason why Hezza decided not to stand for the Tory leadership in 1997. It was as a result of a conversation that Hezza had with his Top Doctor, the cardiologist Peter Mills, under who’s care Hezza was after that nasty attack of gout. After his conversation with Peter Mills resulted in Hezza deciding not to stand himself, Hezza supported Ken Clarke for the leadership.

Peter Mills, like all the best Top Docs, will have known about the Westminster Paedophile Ring, but Mills will have had a particular hotline to and interest in Dafydd and the gang, because Peter Mills, when a young Top Doctor, had worked at St George’s Hospital Medical School, which for years concealed Dafydd’s gang and a linked paedophile/trafficking gang in south London.

In an interview about his career, Mills was quoted as saying: ‘My father was a GP but I was always rather rebellious and so chose to read biochemistry at Oxford. I realised I was wrong and changed to medicine when it became apparent I was more interested in people than science. In contrast to today’s young medics, who seem forced to decide at medical school which career path to follow in order to shape their CV, we had much more freedom to choose our speciality relatively later. I believe cardiology chose me, rather than the other way around. An unexpected vacancy arose at St Georges Hospital at Hyde Park Corner where I was a locum and so I was invited to study Cardiology.’

Not only did many of the staff at St George’s conceal organised abuse, but Professor Oliver Brooke was employed as a paediatrician there from the mid-1970s until he was jailed for the possession of child porn in 1986. Brooke was a key figure in a pan-European paedophile gang. After Brooke was jailed, his colleagues and friends remained working at St George’s colluding with the gang, some of them being active members. See post ‘The Most Dangerous Man In The World – Part III’.

Ken Clarke knew what was going on at St George’s when Clarke was Health Minister and subsequently Secretary of State for Health, 1988-90. Furthermore, it was when Clarke was in Health that he and Thatch had to sort out a little local difficulty re St George’s. The original St George’s Hospital at Hyde Park Corner had been developed as a result of a bequest given by the Duke of Westminster in the 18th century. After St George’s had relocated to its new site in Tooting in 1980, the then Duke of Westminster, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, told Thatch and Ken Clarke that he wanted the market price for the original site which had been donated by his ancestor. The Hyde Park Corner site was a piece of Knightsbridge real estate worth millions. The Gov’t refused the Duke’s request, but instead resolved the problem by letting the Duke buy the Hyde Park Corner site for £6000.

The Duke of Westminster was the President of the City of Chester Conservative Party’s Constituency Association, the local MP being Sir Peter Morrison. Gyles Brandreth succeeded Morrison as Tory MP for Chester and Gyles has been frank that Morrison ‘having sex with little boys’ was openly gossiped about by members of the constituency association as well as local people whom Gyles met when he was campaigning. The Duke of Westminster was a close friend of Carlo. Peter Morrison’s sister Dame Mary Morrison spent most of her life as Woman of the Bedchamber to Lilibet.

Boys from Bryn Estyn were taken to the Duke’s estate for ‘work experience’ but refused to return there without explaining why.

Peter Mills worked as a consultant cardiologist at the Royal London Hospital and subsequently the London Chest Hospital, which both became part of Bart’s Health, for around 35 years. It was Barts who found that they were ‘unable to revive’ John Smith, the leader of the Labour Party, after his heart attack on 12 May 1994. Matt Arnold, the Head of Bryn Estyn, died from an ‘unspecified blood disease’ on 9 June 1994. On 13 June 1994 the trial of Arnold’s friend and colleague Peter Howarth and Paul Wilson for sexual offences against boys in care began.

Dafydd’s mate Professor Linford Rees was a leading light at Barts for many years and provided much protection for Dafydd. Linford Rees was from west Wales and furthermore had extensive showbiz connections via his daughter, the actress Angharad Rees and her husband Christopher Cazenove (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’). Barts’ concealing of organised abuse was given a further helping hand by the very close connections that Lady Juliet Bingley of MIND had with Bart’s – Juliet’s father had been a surgeon at Bart’s and Juliet worked for a while as a medical almoner (social worker) at Bart’s. Juliet’s son William continued the collusion with Dafydd et al in William’s capacity as Legal Director of MIND and then Chief Exec of the Mental Health Act Commission (see previous posts).

So after the chat with the Top Doc who was formerly of St George’s and Barts, old Hezza decided to offer Ken Clarke his support with regard to Clarke’s ambitions to lead the Tory Party and ultimately become PM. The Ken who was at the scene when the Duke of Westminster – Britain’s richest man – picked up a prime piece of Knightsbridge that the NHS was flogging off for a bit of loose change.

The information concerning Peter Mills’s career is provided on the website of Cavendish Medical. Cavendish Medical is a company which provides ‘financial planning’ services for ‘senior medical and NHS professionals’. I don’t think that Cavendish Medical simply manage the Top Docs’ Post Office savings accounts. Mills talks about his hobbies, which includes medieval art and explains that he has a ‘travel fund’ which enables him to jet around the globe in pursuit of this interest, the travel fund resulting from his Cavendish investments.

Peter Mills was Chairman of Cardiology SAC for the Royal College of Physicians, 2002-06, which involved Mills taking a leading role in the education of cardiologists. In 2015, the media reported that ‘Dr Peter Mills, the Football Association’s regional cardiologist for South East England’, was found by the High Court to have been negligent with regard to his treatment of Tottenham Hotspur footballer Radwen Hamed, who in 2006, when he was 17, suffered a cardiac arrest in his first game for the club and was left brain damaged. It was believed that the damages could reach £7 million.

The archive film of the interview with Hezza included a camera shot of the name plate of Peter Mills’ Harley Street practice, which showed that Mills shared his practice with Top Docs Duncan Empey and Michael Wareing.

I presume that Duncan Empey is Prof Duncan Empey, who has helpfully provided the following details on his LinkedIn profile:

Medical Director, Barts and The London NHS Trust, 1994-01

Professor Emeritus, University of Hertfordshire, March 2009-March 2012;

Group Medical Director, BMI Healthcare, Jan 2008-Dec 2012

Top Doctor Michael Wareing is an ENT specialist who works at The London Clinic. Wareing has his own website ‘145 ENT’, which contains the following information:

‘Welcome to the website for Mr Michael Wareing, MBBS BSc, FRCS(ORL-HNS), Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon. Michael Wareing is a London based Consultant Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgeon. He has an NHS practice which is based at St Bartholomew’s & The Royal London Hospitals, where he has also been the Head of the ENT Department in 2 separate spells, 2003-9 and 2012-14. His private practice is based at The London Clinic where he has a fully equipped consulting suite at 145 Harley Street. Mr Wareing has over 25 years experience as a doctor and has been a consultant since 2000. He offers expertise in all aspects of General ENT as well as supraspecialist knowledge in Ear & Skull Base Surgery, Voice Disorders, Dizziness & Tinnitus, Sinus Disease and Children’s Ear Problems. He has concentrated his private practice in one place to ensure the very best continuity of care for all his patients’.

The ‘profile’ section on Wareing’s website tells us that: ‘Michael Wareing was educated at the Haberdasher Aske’s School for Boys, Elstree and entered St Bartholomew’s Medical School (Barts) in 1982. Following success in his preclinical studies, he took the opportunity to spend a year of further study to complete a BSc in Pharmacology. He returned to his clinical training at Barts in 1985 where he developed an interest in ENT, and won the Sydney Scott Prize for Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) in 1988. He qualified as a doctor in the same year.

He worked in a number of busy posts in Neurosurgery, General Surgery and A&E in southeast England during his general surgical training, before taking up an ENT position at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. During this time he passed both the General Surgical and ENT Fellowships of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. His specialty ENT training gave him experience and expertise not only in District General Hospitals, but also in tertiary referral centres such as Guys, Kings & St Thomas’ Hospitals, and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. He also developed a particular subspecialty interest in Otology (diseases of the Ear) and Ear Surgery.’

Michael Wareing worked at Guy’s and Tommy’s with Ed Miliband’s Uncle Harry then! And of course with Dafydd’s friend and umbrella Professor Jim Watson the sex therapist (see post ‘A Galaxy Of Talent’).

‘In 1997 the King’s Fund awarded him a prestigious TWJ Travelling Fellowship to enable him to spend seven months in the Laboratory of Molecular Otology at the University of California at San Francisco. There he studied inner ear gene therapy and performed new and exciting research on the roles of liposomes and viruses in introducing genetic material to the cochlea.

In 1999 he was awarded the Skull Base Fellowship at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, where he was able to refine his interest in Ear, Acoustic Neuroma and Skull Base Surgery.

In 2000, Mr Wareing returned to St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals as a Consultant ENT Surgeon. This was a high profile position which incorporated the dual role of maintaining a general ENT practice of adult and paediatric patients from the City of London, Islington and East End of London, whilst also being the Lead Clinician in Otology, Ear Surgery, Acoustic Neuroma and Skull Base Surgery. He ran a specialist Voice Clinic, and a Paediatric Ear Disease Clinic.

From 2003-9 Mr Wareing took over the additional role of Lead Clinician for the department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at St Bartholomews and The Royal London Hospitals. This position allowed him to further develop the ENT services offered in both the City of London and the East End of London. He relinquished the role, only to be reappointed as the Lead Clinician in 2012. He enjoys working closely with many allied Health Professionals, where he is known as a helpful, reliable and considerate expert. He is in charge of the appointment and appraisal of ENT Colleagues, both Consultants and Junior Staff alike. He also has wide ranging responsibilities for the education of Medical Students within their ENT attachment, and also for GP Postgraduate ENT Education.

Mr Wareing’s Private ENT work started in 2000 when John Booth, his predecessor at Barts, saw an opportunity to retire by asking him to take over the care of his established Upper Wimpole Street Practice. In 2005 Mr Wareing chose to move his growing practice to the special setting of The London Clinic, Harley Street, where he and his colleague Mr Jonathan Harcourt are the only two ENT Surgeons to hold permanent rooms within the Clinic. Since that time he has equipped his Consulting Room with the very best equipment available for modern office based ENT practice.
Mr Wareing is also pleased to work as an Honorary Consultant for St Luke’s Hospital for the Clergy, Fitzroy Square.Mr Wareing is a well respected colleague, seeing patients from around the South East of England and overseas. He has featured in articles in the Daily Mail and the Observer, in radio shows and has written book chapters on a number of topics including the development of the ear and on voice problems. He has published over 40 peer reviewed articles and is invited to lecture within the UK and abroad.
Tatler Doctors Guide 2013
In 2007 he was one of only a handful of ENT Surgeons to appear in the ‘Tatler’ Guide to the top 250 Private Health Professionals in the UK. He also appears in the updated 2013 version of this guide.Mr Wareing lives in North West London. He is married to a doctor and they have 4 children. He is a keen (ex single figure handicap) golfer and has been pleased to win several medical golfing society trophies. He is also a keen cyclist, and cycled with a friend from Lands End to John O Groats in 2012, raising £25000 for Deafness Research UK and Help for Heroes.’

Private patients requiring both ENT and Neurosurgical expertise are seen individually by both Mr Wareing and Mr Sabin and are then discussed jointly by the Consultant to ensure optimisation of management, in conjunction with patient desires.’

Mr Sabin is available for those patients whom the Walton Centre have left to die because of their association with those who have challenged the paedophiles’ friends in north Wales (see post ‘A Vampire at Glyndwr University!’). Or probably not, if a distress flare has been sent up by Dafydd.

Mr Wareing of Very Expensive Private Practice has featured in the media, including in that organ dedicated to the NHS ‘The Guardian’, as well as the Mirror and the BBC. Not that Mr Wareing bothers to supply a photo of these publications, he prioritised ‘Tatler’ in that regard.

Mr Wareing works at The London Clinic, a private clinic which sprawls over much of the Harley Street disctrict of London.

John Biffen, the Thatcherite Tory MP who went to school with my father and who knew about the Westminster Paedophile Ring and the lengths to which a great many people were going to conceal it (see post ‘A Local Boy Made Good’), was a Trustee of The London Clinic, 1994-2002, which spans the whole period of the Waterhouse Inquiry and the publication of the Waterhouse Report.

In Ian MacGregor’s book ‘The Story Of The Miners’ Strike 1984-5′, MacGregor mentions that when he read that John Paul Getty II had given £100k to the striking miners’ Christmas appeal in 1984 which had been launched by Anne Scargill, Arthur Scargill’s wife, MacGregor called upon David Hart – the shady right wing figure who was behind many dark matters during Thatcher’s years in office – to arrange a meeting between MacGregor and Getty at ‘The London Clinic’ ‘where he was more or less permanently in residence’. At the meeting, Getty gave Hart a cheque for £100k to the National Working Miners.

Scargill’s daughter is a Top Doctor. Scargill’s friend Michael Mansfield QC who founded the Socialist Labour Party with Scargill knew what was happening to me in north Wales in 1993 because I wrote and told him about it. I wrote to Mansfield and explained that I had been prosecuted under the legislation introduced by Thatcher’s Gov’t to criminalise picketing miners after I attempted to get answers from the north Wales mental health services when Top Docs and Gwynedd Social Services social workers had broken the law. The much publicised police investigation into a possible paedophile ring in north Wales/Cheshire was underway when I was prosecuted and when I wrote to Mansfield. He wrote me a one line reply thanking me for my letter.

The website of The London Clinic is a source of high quality entertainment. We are told that ‘The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. The London Clinic has a number of premises across Harley Street and Devonshire Place…’

The London Clinic may be one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, but they’re all heart down at The London Clinic: ‘The charitable status of The London Clinic means that our surpluses are reinvested back into the hospital and our journey since 1932 has seen significant expansion and development’.

This charidee has been so successful at raising dosh to reinvest back into itself that The London Hospital’s Duchess of Devonshire Wing cost ninety million quid and that was a few years ago.

Highlights in the evolution of The London Hospital include:

In 1932, The opening of The London Clinic, which was performed by the Duchess of York, accompanied by the Duke of York (later King George VI) on 18th February 1932.

On 10 May 1949, a visit by Winston Churchill to Anthony Eden (later Lord Avon), presumably when Eden was laid up in The London Clinic.

In 1963 Elizabeth Taylor was spotted leaving The London Clinic with her knee in a splint after falling on a film set.

In 1989 HRH Prince Carlo opened the physiotherapy department at The London Clinic.

In 1991 HRH Princess Margaret, aka Ma’am Darling, who availed herself of the services of a few private Top Docs herself in her quest for chemical recreation (see post ‘Little Things Hitting Each Other’) opened the MRI unit in the radiology department. Ma’am Darling’s husband Lord Snowdon was the bisexual son of a Welsh Top Doc; Lord Snowdon was reputed to have used the services of rent boys and used to visit north Wales. As an elderly man, Lord Snowdon had a relationship with Marjorie Wallace, who’s selfless service to Top Docs who were involved with serious organised crime was pretty much unsurpassed (see post ‘One Dangerous Fucker’).

In 2002, TV star Martine McCutcheon opened the latest development of The London Clinic at 119 Harley Street. Martine was an actress in East Enders. As was Barbara Windsor, who probably would have been a more suitable celeb to have opened a new bit of The London Clinic.

In 2005, Nigel Havers opened the new consulting room suites at 145 Harley Street. Nigel is the son of Sir – later Lord – Michael Havers, the Tory MP for Wimbledon, 1970-87, who had many constituents who doubled up as Top Docs at St George’s. Havers was the corrupt Attorney General for England and Wales as well as for N Ireland, 1979-87, who consistently blocked the prosecution of ‘VIP paedophiles’, as well as the prosecution of nearly all not such VIP paedophiles in north Wales/Cheshire. His sister Lord Elizabeth Butler-Sloss concealed the extent of the Cleveland Child Abuse Scandal (see post ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas And The Culprits Were Named’) and during the brief few minutes for which she Chaired the IICSA, Butler-Sloss tried to prevent any investigations into the Anglican Church. Butler-Sloss is a high profile Anglican.

In 2007 the Duchess of Devonshire attended the official opening of the new consulting room building at 5 Devonshire Place. The Duchess of Devonshire, who was born Deborah Freeman-Mitford, one of the famous fascist family.

Debo’s daughter Emma married Tobias Tennant, son of the 2nd Lord Glenconner. Charlie Tennant, the eldest son of the 3rd Lord Glenconner, was the heroin addict who flogged photos of Princess Margaret in fancy dress at a knees-up to raise money for drugs. Charlie’s dad the 3rd Lord Glenconner  owned Mustique, the island that Ma’am Darling used to visit to let her hair down with her toyboy Roddy Llewellyn, where she wandered around in a kaftan like a Royal Elizabeth Taylor. Charlie Tennant died in 1996, of either Hep B or HIV, I’ve forgotten which. Debo’s daughter Sophia’s second husband was Alastair Morrison, Sir Peter Morrison’s nephew.

After David Cameron became PM, Debo gave media interviews stating that Cameron and his drip of a wife ‘were rather good for the country’. Debo was mates with Sam the Drip’s father, Sir Reginald Sheffield. Sam’s mum Annabel later divorced old Reggie and remarried William Waldorf Astor III – the son of Bill Astor who starred in the Profumo Affair – who was the nephew of her own stepfather, Michael Langhorne Astor.I cannot help thinking that if these domestic arrangements were occurring on a council estate in Merthyr Tydfil, they would be the cause of much pompousing and huffing and puffing from Call Me Dave.

2007 was a good year for The London Clinic. As well as Debo opening their new block, members of staff at The London Clinic joined the Xtreme Everest expedition. Lest anyone believes that the staff of The London Clinic just went up Everest to enjoy themselves, the website of The London Clinic reminds us that the Everest expedition was about Research and Helping People. The London Clinic is pursuing ‘research’ up Everest which will benefit hundreds of thousands of people no less.

In 2010, Joanna Lumley opened the consulting rooms and pathology laboratory at 116 and 120 Harley Street.

In 2010 The London Clinic received another visitor almost as glam as Joanna Lumley. HM the Queen Lilibet opened the new, purpose built, state-of-art cancer facility at 22 Devonshire Place. Debo didn’t peg out until 2014, so perhaps she was too busy admiring Cameron and the notepaper which his wife designed for a living to make it to the opening, so Lilibet substituted.

In 2011, HRH Princess Alexandra opened the new Eye Centre at 119 Harley Street and was greeted by Professor Robin Williamson.

In 2011, The London Clinic received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. International Trade in what is not made clear.

In 2013, members of staff at The London Clinic were off up Everest again, continuing their investigations of human adaption to hypoxia at high altitude. Definitely not on a jolly.

In 2017 Camilla opened the new state-of-the-art 13 bed ICU at 20 Devonshire Place.

As all good charidees do, The London Clinic has a Patron, a Life President and a Board of Trustees.

The Patron is Camilla:

The Life President is The Duchess of Devonshire. Or was, until she turned her toes up.

The Board of Trustees of The London Clinic acts as its Board of Directors, overseeing and directing the activities of the charidee.

The Trustees are:

  • Mr Hamish Leslie Melville – Chairman
  • Lady Otton
  • Mr Manish Chande
  • Professor John Gribben
  • Mr Nicholas Melhuish

Hamish Leslie Melville, the Chairman of this medical charidee, is a banker. Melville is: Chairman, Investment Banking Committee of Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc; Chairman of Mercantile Investment Trust plc (formerly J.P. Morgan Fleming Mercantile Investment Trust plc; was MD of Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd, 2005-08; Chairman of Mithras Investment plc, 1994-08; Chairman of Old Mutual South Africa Trust plc; Director of Scottish Investment Trust plc, 1996-07; of Northern Recruitment Group, 1997-04; of Persimmon plc, 1995-10; of Jamestown Investments Ltd, 1992-94; Eclipse Film Partners No 1 LLP, 2006-14; 73 Cadogan Square Freehold Ltd, 2007-08; Erlangers Ltd, 2000-06; Scottish Woodlands Ltd, 1992-05; Brechin Castle Centre Ltd, 1996-02; Dunedin Capital Partners Ltd, 1992-95; West Highland Woodlands, April 1992-June 1992; Batsford Estates (1983) Co Ltd, 1991-92.

Melville is also the former Chairman of the National Trust, Scotland.

In Jan 2006, the business diary from The Torygraph reported that ‘Credit Suisse First Boston managing director Hamish Leslie Melville has upset his neighbours with plans to build a 43-turbine wind farm on his Lochluichart estate in the Scottish Highlands. Leslie Melville, along with a company formed by Savills and a Dutch wind farm developer, has applied for planning permission to erect the windmills on land the developers describe as “degraded habitat”. Local residents disagree. They’ve set up a protest group called A Wind Farm Too Far, arguing there’s plenty of wildlife and that the steel giants would wreck the view and threaten tourism. Apparently, rather than take an annual rent, the estate has opted for a stake in the venture. My Scottish mole estimates that if all goes according to plan, the project could rake in £625 m over the wind farm’s 25-year lifetime. Not a bad return for Leslie Melville – a former Chairman of the National Trust for Scotland – who was unavailable for comment.’

Lady Helen Otton is a Lady as a result of being married to a Sir, namely Sir Philip Otton, a former Lord Justice of Appeal, 1995-01. Lady Helen describes herself as a ‘conference organiser’. She was a Director of: Everyman Action Against Male Cancer, 2010-13; ICR Enterprises Ltd, 2010-13; The Maytree Respite Centre, 2005-10; Classical Opera, 2002-06; Nottingham Law School Ltd, 199394.

Some years ago Lady Helen Otton’s name appeared in a ‘Daily Mail’ article which named and shamed ‘acolytes’ who had ‘dined at tax-payers expense’ with Tony and Cherie Blair.

Manish Chande describes himself thus: ‘Manish is a senior partner of Clearbell Capital LLP and has over 30 years of real estate experience and is involved in all aspects of the business. Manish is Chairman of the Investment Committee. Manish co-founded Mountgrange Investment Management in 2007 and was the CEO of Mountgrange Capital, a private property investment and development group from 2002. He was previously a board director at Land Securities plc, CEO of Trillium, a pioneering sale and lease-back property business; and CEO of Imry, a publicly-quoted property investment and development company. Manish originally trained as a chartered accountant at Midgley Snelling & Co. between 1975 and 1980 and worked at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in London from 1980 to 1985. Manish has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1980. In 2008 he was elected a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was a Commissioner of English Heritage between 2003 and 2011. In 2007, Manish was appointed a Trustee of The London Clinic and in 2012 he was appointed a Trustee of the Canal and River Trust.’

The London Clinic’s website says of Professor John Gribben: ‘Professor John Gribben graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1980. He subsequently trained in Haematology at University College London and in Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, where he remained on the faculty for 17 years before returning to the UK. He specialises in haematological cancers including lymphomas, leukaemias and bone marrow transplantation. His NHS post is as Consultant Haematologist and Medical Oncologist Barts and The London NHS Trust.’

He is the author of more than 300 articles and chapters in peer-reviewed publications and has a global reputation for his work in researching new drugs and forms of cancer treatment. He has grant funding from The National Cancer Institute and Cancer Research UK for pioneering studies in leukaemia and lymphoma. He has sat on and chaired numerous international executive committees dedicated to investigating new approaches to cancer care, and several of the editorial boards for professional publications which are focused on cancer. He has lectured across the world on new therapies for cancer treatment.’

John Gribben features on the website of Barts Cancer Institute, which mentions that he was a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellow 1987-89, at UCL and a Fogarty International Fellowship, 1989-1991, at Harvard.

Nicholas Melhuish is a ‘fund manager’: ‘Nicholas Melhuish joined Amundi in 2013 as head of global equities. He was previously head of global equities at UBS Asset Management (2007-2012), lead portfolio manger for global equity strategies at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management (2003-2007) at San Diego, California and in London and senior portfolio manager, international core equity, at Putnam Investments, London (1999-2003). Nicholas started his career as an analyst and small cap portfolio manager at Schroder Investment Management (1991-1999). He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Modern History from New College, Oxford and is also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.’

.

Take note: the Top Docs of The London Clinic trained in the NHS and for most of their careers held senior NHS jobs as well as extensive private practices. Now who was looking after their NHS patients when they were busy at that charidee The London Clinic? Just look at how many of those involved in running the charidee are people who work in global capitalism…

Other news:

The Governor of HMP Berwyn, the UK Gov’ts new ‘flagship’ prison – the biggest prison in the UK – which no English authority wanted in its back yard but was welcomed with open arms by the idiots who represent Wales in both the Senedd and Westminster, has been suspended over unspecified ‘allegations’.

Operation Pallial has resulted in another conviction of an elderly sex offender who worked in a children’s home in north Wales. Once more the bravery of the victims has been praised. If only someone had listened to them as well as the screams coming from the numerous other victims 30 years ago. I cannot share the police’s excitement at their inadequate action decades too late. The elderly paedophile who has just been imprisoned was not convicted until he was 79 yrs old because the full might of the British state was deployed to protect him, not the kids whom he assaulted. Many of them will be dead now anyway, kids in care and Empowered Service Users don’t usually make it as far as 79 yrs old.

Dafydd is in his late 80s, as is Lucille.

Sir Norman Bettison, the former senior officer of the South Yorkshire Police, has been told that he will no longer face any charges as a result of the Hillsborough disaster. Bettison had faced four counts of misconduct in a public office. He was accused of telling lies about the ‘culpability of fans’ and his role in the wake of the tragedy, but the CPS has now said that insufficient evidence meant there was no real prospect of securing a conviction. This is because of ‘changes in the evidence of two witnesses’ and the death of a third witness. How very convenient.

Sir Norman was accused of untruthfully describing his role in the South Yorkshire Police response to Hillsborough – where over 90 people died – as ‘peripheral’ in a 1998 comment to then Chief Inspector of Constabulary Sir David O’Dowd, when applying for the job of Chief Constable in Merseyside. He was also accused of lying to Merseyside Police Authority when he said he had never attempted to shift blame for the disaster ‘on to the shoulders of Liverpool supporters’. Bettison was alleged to have lied in a statement issued on 13 September 2012 following the publication of the Hillsborough Independent Panel report, when he said he had never offered any interpretation other than that the behaviour of Liverpool fans did not cause the disaster. He was also accused of misconduct over a statement released the following day in which he said he had never ‘besmirched’ Liverpool fans.

The court heard that the prosecution relied on two witnesses, Mark Ellaby and a woman identified only as Mrs J. It was alleged by Mr Ellaby that, over a pint in a pub while on an MBA course together in 1989, Sir Norman said he had been appointed to a team, the role of which was to blame the fans. Paul Greaney QC, defending Sir Norman, said it took ‘repeated requests’ from the defence for the other students to be traced by the IPCC. When ‘eventually’ they were, fifteen other students and a lecturer were contacted and ‘not a single one’ recalled Sir Norman expressing any ‘inappropriate view’ about Hillsborough.

Those witnesses with the very bad memories were on an MBA course. They will now be running the NHS, the Social Services, the County Councils, teaching in university business schools and of course like Bettison, some may have achieved high rank in the police.

It’s OK Dafydd and Lucille, you have nothing to worry about at all. I’ve got 10,000 documents, dozens of people were found dead, but you are absolutely safe from any risk of prosecution.

My post ‘Additional Security Measures’ details the fabrication of documentation by the Home Office and the order to stress the alleged bad behaviour of the fans rather than the inadequacies of the police that Home Office officials gave before the publication of the Report into Hillsborough by Lord Justice Peter Taylor. The Home Office were ably assisting Dafydd and the gang at the same time.

The police officers who fabricated and altered witness statements in the wake of Hillsborough were from the South Yorkshire force. The South Yorkshire force were involved in the brutality towards striking miners in 1984-85 and in the collusion with the paedophile gang in Yorkshire.

Bettison joined the South Yorkshire Police in 1975. In May 1993 he was appointed Assistant Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police. In 1998 he became Chief Constable of Merseyside Police. Bettison retired from the police in January 2005 to become Chief Executive of Centrex, which provided training and development to police forces in the UK and enforcement agencies throughout the world until it was abolished in March 2007. Bettison rejoined the police service in January 2007 as Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police. He attempted to secure a package to receive both a retirement pension from Merseyside and a salary from the new post; he threatened legal action but the claim was settled out of court.

Jimmy Savile was on excellent terms with the police right across Yorkshire. The Merseyside Police colluded with Dafydd and his gang.

After the Battle of Orgreave was brought to the UK public by the Great British Press, Liz Stables, the Angel at the Student Health Centre at UCNW/Bangor University, told me that ‘those miners should be shot’. Liz was part of the trafficking gang in north Wales. One boy at Bryn Estyn maintained that he’d been sexually assaulted at gunpoint. But then I was followed by a gun wielding policeman before I left Wales, as was someone who made a witness statement about me being threatened by NHS staff and managers from the North West Wales NHS Trust.

After the Court case in which all charges were dropped against Bettison, Bettison talked of the ‘loss of loved ones’, the ‘enduring tragedy’, ‘a devastating loss’, ‘all of our sympathies’ and then reminded everyone that ‘I have been forced to deny, strenuously, that I was guilty of any wrongdoing in the aftermath of the disaster’.

A few weeks after Liz told me that the miners should be shot, she told me that she’d been at an event where dear old Dafydd dropped by in his helicopter and that ‘Dr DA was great’.

Never mind a murdering paedophile gang, the boys in blue got their priorities right:

What’s Left? The Politics of Social Justice

My post ‘Life In Cold Blood’ detailed the backgrounds and activities of some paedophiles’ friends who doubled up as lefties committed to social justice and democracy, including Red Ken’s Deputy in the GLC, Illtyd Harrington. I mentioned that Illtyd was originally Deputy to Andrew McIntosh, but a coup orchestrated by the hard left saw McIntosh ousted and Red Ken installed as Leader of the GLC. So did Andrew the Overthrown suffer as a result? It doesn’t seem as though he did, he ended up in the Lords which is more than Illtyd did, so someone found Andrew useful.

Andrew Robert McIntosh, Baron McIntosh of Haringey (30 April 1933 – 27 August 2010) was a Labour Party politician and the last elected Principal of the Working Men’s College, 1988-97.

The WMC was founded in 1854 and established by Christian Socialists to provide a liberal education for artisans. The founding of the College was partially a response to concerns about the revolutionary potential of the Chartist Movement and its early protagonists were also closely associated with the Co-operative Movement and labour organisations. The WMC is located in St Pancras – within the Borough of Camden – and numbered among its teachers the Rolls Royce-driving crooked former Conservative MP for Taunton, Edward du Cann.

Andrew McIntosh was educated at Haberdasher Aske’s Hampstead School, the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe and then Jesus College, Oxford and Ohio State University.

McIntosh served as a Councillor in the London Borough of Haringey (1964–68) and represented Tottenham on the GLC (1973–83). When Labour won control of the GLC in 1981, McIntosh was leader of the Labour Group. McIntosh was a centrist who narrowly beat left-winger Red Ken for the leadership. However, the day after Labour won a small majority, McIntosh was ousted and Livingstone was voted leader of the Labour Group and of the GLC in his place.

By the mid-1980s, Dafydd and the paedophile gang had direct links to Haringey Social Services, so presumably McIntosh would have known about that, as well as about the sorry state of Haringey Social Services, which simply did not function for many years. There was scandal after scandal and then an enormous eruption in 2000 when Victoria Climbie died in the care of Haringey. A Public Inquiry was held and there was a great deal of learning lessons and never againing, then in 2007 the death of Baby P (Peter Connelly) demonstrated that nothing at all had changed in that Borough.

Tony Smythe was involved with Haringey MIND. Smythe had previously spent a number of years as CEO of National MIND when MIND had links to paedophiles rights groups and was of course also concealing the crimes of Dafydd et al. Smythe’s’s cultural interests, his stance as an anarchist and his activism brought him into contact with some people doing some questionable things including fighting for paedophiles’ rights (see post ‘MIND Are Out For Mental Health – Never For Themselves Of Course…’).

Jeremy Corbyn formerly sat on an NHS Authority which covered Islington, Bloomsbury and Haringey.

Andrew McIntosh was given a peerage in 1983 and he served as a Whip and a culture spokesman in the Lords. He was appointed a Privy Councillor in 2002.

McIntosh was the UK’s Minister for the Media and Heritage at the Dept for Culture, Media and Sport, 2003-05, under Secretary of State Tessa Jowell, the paedophiles’ friend (see posts ‘Tower Hamlets, Paul Boateng and Tessa Jowell’ and ‘Baroness Tessa Jowell – A Tribute’). His responsibilities included broadcasting and press regulation, heritage and architecture, libraries and gambling regulation. McIntosh was also spokesman in the House of Lords for HM Treasury, 1997-05, when the Chancellor of the Exchequer was Gordon Brown.

In Sept 2005, McIntosh became a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe sitting as Chairman of the Assembly’s Committee on Culture, Science and Education from Jan 2010 and Chairman of its Sub-Committee on the Media from 2008-09. Following the passing of a resolution on ‘Threats to the lives and freedom of expression of journalists’ on 27 Jan 2007, the Council of Europe appointed McIntosh its rapporteur on media freedom.

McIntosh became an Honorary Associate of the National Secular Society, a Distinguished Supporter of the British Humanist Association and Vice-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Humanist Group. He was Chairman of the Fabian Society, 1985-86 and Captain, Yeoman of the Guard, 1997-03.

McIntosh was married to academic and TV executive Naomi Sargant. Sargant was Professor of Applied Social Research at the Open University and then Channel 4’s Senior Commissioning Editor for education. Naomi was the daughter of Tom Sargant, a businessman and politician who became the first Secretary of the campaigning organisation JUSTICE, with which a great many paedophiles’ friends have been and are linked.

Naomi was educated at Friends’ School, Saffron Walden, Essex and Bedford College, London. After graduating, Naomi trained as a market researcher, joining Social Surveys Ltd in 1955 and remaining there until 1967, when she became senior lecturer at Enfield College of Technology. Naomi moved to the Open University in 1970 when she was appointed as senior lecturer in research methods. She was PVC for Student Affairs, 1974-78, then Professor of Applied Social Research until 1981. Naomi’s time at the OU overlapped with that of Professor Stuart Hall, who was involved in trying to damage Brown’s career when Brown was young. Hall’s friends and colleagues knew about the organised abuse and sexual exploitation of children and young people and it would have been difficult for Stuart Hall not to have known about it as well. See post ‘Life In Cold Blood’.

In 1981, Naomi was appointed to the newly established Channel 4, under C4’s first Chief Executive Jeremy Isaacs.

Isaacs stated that ‘Naomi’s political skills enabled her to deal confidently with like-minded spirits at the IBA and in education. The programmes she commissioned did not have to be part of curricular structures; she was free to add to what other broadcasters offered, catering to the viewers who might be unemployed, disabled or retired’.

C4’s output at the time could hardly be described as catering to many of those who were ‘unemployed, disabled or retired’. There was row after row regarding C4’s eccentric output, one of the biggest rows being about C4 screening Derek Jarman’s film ‘Jubilee’, which featured the rebel Toyah Wilcox from Solihull making hissing noises. Dafydd’s mate Professor Robert Bluglass lived in Solihull, perhaps that where Toyah learned to hiss.

_Black_Acrylic: Derek Jarman - Jubilee

Toyah excelled at hissing to such an extent that in 2002 she led the campaign against the housing of asylum seekers near to where she lived in Worcestershire.

It was C4 who screened ‘The Tube’, giving Paula Yates her big break. Paula came from Colwyn Bay, spent part of her life in north Wales and went to the primary school in Rowen. Lord Wyn Roberts lived in Rowen throughout the years when he loyally colluded with the crimes of Dafydd et al.

  • PAULA YATES TATTOOS -TATTOO PICS PHOTOS PICTURES OF HER ...
  • Paula’s last years were incredibly difficult and involved her being in the clutches of Top Doctors who did not seem to be doing her much good. Paula was found dead from an overdose of heroin in Sept 2000. Paula’s friends did not believe that she had killed herself. Paula’s life had taken a turn for the worse in Nov 1997, when her partner Michael Hutchence was found hanging dead. Paula maintained that he had not, as the rest of the world claimed, committed suicide. In April 2014 Paula’s daughter Peaches was found dead from a heroin overdose. Peaches was thought to have given up heroin some time previously. For further details regarding the unfortunate deaths of Paula, Michael Hutchence and Peaches, see post ‘The International Language Of Screaming’.

St Bob’s family are being wiped out at a rate that nearly equals that of the unfortunate Ormsby-Gores, some of whom knew about the Westminster Paedophile Ring (see post ’95 Glorious Years!’).

Paedophiles’ friends: the original sinners – the Peter Morrisons, the St John Stevases, the Grevilles, the Cyril Smiths, the Thorpes – are now all dead. What is your problem? It’s not as if the witnesses could have them jailed anymore is it? Ah – just remembered. There were all the ageing celebs and rock stars who are still alive to whom Dafydd et al supplied kids. And all those Top Docs, lawyers, judges and politicians who built their careers upon keeping quiet about it…

Cherie Blair Cherie Booth wife of Labour Leader Tony Blair after being sworn in as a QC April 1995 Stock Photo

Cherie Booth being sworn in as a QC in April 1995. In April 1995, Nicola Davies QC was reviewing the paperwork of the North Wales Police relating to the abuse of children in care in order to decide whether a public inquiry was warranted. The paperwork from 1989 onward was all missing. By April 1995, Sir Ronnie Waterhouse had altered his retirement plans, which was most convenient when he was subsequently appointed to Chair the Public Inquiry which Nicola Davies QC concluded in Dec 1995 would not be in the public interest. Ronnie Waterhouse had previously worked with Derry Irvine and Derry’s two juniors, Tony Blair and Cherie Booth.

Jeremy Isaacs was an experienced journo who would have known about the Westminster Paedophile Ring and its branch in north Wales. Isaacs joined Granada Television in Manchester as a producer in 1958 and was involved in creating or supervising series such as ‘World In Action’ and ‘What The Papers Say’. He worked for the BBC’s ‘Panorama’ in the 1960s. Elwyn Parry Jones, originally from Llangollen, was Deputy Editor of Panorama, 1977-85. Parry Jones returned to live in north Wales in the late 1980s. He lived in Trevor, a village just down the road from Bryn Estyn and Bryn Alyn. When Parry Jones returned to north Wales, he spent his time making films for S4C, the Welsh language arm of C4. Other BBC big wigs from north Wales included Huw Wheldon and Angus McDermid (see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’). Isaacs was the overall producer for the ‘World At War’ (1973–74) for Thames Television and was Director of Programmes for Thames between 1974-78. Later, he produced ‘Ireland: A Television History’ (1981) for the BBC and co-produced the TV series ‘Cold War’ (1998). Isaacs was President of the Royal Television Society, 1997-2000. The RTS which employed a child molester and unlawfully sacked a witness to the crimes in north Wales when she wanted to make a film about it (see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’).

While the unemployed, disabled and retired watched ‘Bob’s Full House’ and ‘Blankety Blank’, Naomi Sargant listed ‘topics for action’ including arts, history, science, the environment and such ‘basic skills’ as literacy and numeracy, health and the family. Naomi catered for ‘leisure interests’, including wine – now there’s the way to an unemployed, disabled person’s heart, fine wines – and signed up Jancis Robinson for her TV debut. ‘Chips Comic’ was for children with disabilities. That became as well-known as Val, John and Pete and Petra and Patch didn’t it. Another of Naomi’s creations for C4 was ‘Quilts in Women’s Lives’.

Obviously the talents of someone who dreamed up ‘Quilts in Women’s Lives’ were not missed by the wider world and Naomi held numerous public appointments. They included: Chairman of the National Gas Consumer Council (1977-80); President of the National Society for Clean Air (1981-83); Pro Chancellor of the University of East London (1992-94). Inevitably Naomi had a finger in the NHS pie (or should that be PIE?) – she was Chairman of the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, 1997-2000.

Amidst all the smiley face emojis and camera shots of Angels holding people’s hands, GOSH has been party to a few terrible things. Audrey Callaghan, who colluded with the abuse and neglect of children and vulnerable people when she sat on the London County Council and then on the GLC in the late 1950s/60s, was Chair of Governors for GOSH, 1969-82 and Chair of the Hospital’s Special Trustees until 1990. Audrey was a fundraiser for GOSH for 30 years and for 15 years – until 1999 – she was a Trustee of the Wishing Well Appeal. Audrey was a personal friend of crooked lawyer Leo Abse, who was a good mate of the child molester George Thomas and ensured that Thomas was extracted from trouble every time that someone dared complain about him. It was Jim Callaghan who, in his capacity as Home Secretary, allowed Leo Abse to personally manipulate and threaten people into allowing the paedophiles’ friends to rewrite the law on children in care, which resulted in the Children Act 1975. That was the Act which saw kids in care transported en masse into the arms of John Allen’s gang in north Wales. See post ‘Cry The Beloved Country’.

Leo Abse’s plan would never have come to fruition had a helpful MP who personally knew some of Dafydd’s associates not have been happy to introduce the Private Member’s Bill needed:

Official portrait of Lord Owen crop 2.jpg

GOSH were involved with the neglect and negligence which led to the death of Baby P and more recently were at the centre of the scrap over the care and treatment of baby Charlie Gard.

Naomi Sargant served on Haringey Borough Council and was Chairman of the Children’s Committee, 1964-68.

Naomi was also an executive member of the National Institute for Adult Continuing Education. She was made an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Art (1988) and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (1991). In 1996, Naomi was inducted into the Royal Television Society’s Hall of Lame.

Jeremy Isaacs’s obituary of Naomi commented that she was ‘a socialist in the fine line of RH Tawney, Michael Young and Peter Townsend’. It was Michael Young’s champagne socialism and hypocrisy which spawned the dreadful Toby Young, who’s entire life of right wing offensiveness seems to have resulted from his seething anger at his dad’s idiocy. Peter Townsend kept close company with the paedophiles’ friends as well.

Isaac’s tells us that ‘serving others’, Naomi ‘bent her mind to doing good’. A great many people suffered as a result of Naomi serving others and doing so much good.

Jane Collins, Chief Executive, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, added to Naomi’s obituary:

‘Sargant made many important contributions to GOSH in her three years as Chair of the Trust Board. Ahead of the times, she was particularly concerned about involving our patients and their families in developing our services so they can best meet their needs’.

Ah, so that was why there was that enormous rift last year between GOSH and the family of Charlie Gard.

Jane Collins remembered that Naomi’s ‘perspective as Chair was particularly helpful when the interim report of Sir Ian Kennedy’s Inquiry into children’s heart surgery at the Bristol Royal Infirmary was published in May 2000. We had been somewhat complacent in thinking we already worked in partnership with families. Naomi and this Report reminded us that the perceptions of children and families might be very different and we needed to really listen to what they were saying’.

Kennedy’s Report resulted from the Inquiry which followed allegations in the late 1990s that paediatric surgeons at Bristol were operating way beyond their competence and that children had died as a result. The matter of just how competent or otherwise the Bristol surgeons were was never really settled because the opinions of their peers who reviewed them could not be taken to be fair either (see post ‘More Alan Bennett’). The whole field had been corrupted by research fraud, cheating and dishonesty for years (see post ‘Interesting Facts’).

Naomi’s ‘other major contribution was to increase awareness and ensure action was taken to address equality and diversity issues. She was particularly concerned that our workforce did not reflect the ethnic make-up of our patients. This was most marked in nursing: it reflected in no way on the quality of the staff, but as a result we actively worked with the Nursing School at South Bank University to encourage recruitment from ethnic minorities into children’s nursing, with demonstrable success’.

Entrenched racism is an enduring feature of the NHS – I have witnessed it in every NHS setting in which I have ever worked or been treated. They don’t like darkies and they don’t like them any more today than they did when the Windrush generation arrived. In Bradford, a solution to the problem of the racist intimidation to which one nursing tutor was subjected – among other things, she found a picture of a monkey attached to her door – was to give her a Chair rather than risk a tribunal and the attendant bad publicity. The Angel involved had no academic record, so people not in the know wondered why there was a Professor at Bradford who had no academic background. Another NHS gesture in the direction of diversity and equality was the promotion of Angel Paula Vasco-Knight to high office, namely as the CEO of an NHS Trust in Devon. Vasco-Knight subsequently made history by collapsing in the dock when she escaped a prison sentence for her misconduct and crimes when she ran the Trust (see post ‘NHS Chief Executive Collapses In Court After Being Spared Jail’).

  • Strange but true

This is what happens when Angels are given PhDs on the basis of weak theses including much misunderstood sociology and are then promoted on the basis that they are ‘experts’. Angels: one thing that really pissed me off was your belief that you were experts in biographical narrative analysis after you had attended a one day ‘masterclass’. You were not and writing a PhD thesis which is no more than one huge self-indulgent ‘Dear Diary’ did not alter that.

The day after I wrote ‘Life In Cold Blood’ Ed Miliband gratuitously popped up on Radio 4 expressing his outrage about something. It may have been a complete coincidence that a number of Ed Miliband’s dad’s friends featured in that post, as they have in a few other recent posts. I haven’t blogged much about Ed’s dad himself though, so here we go Ed.

Ralph Miliband’s parents were among the Polish Jews who migrated to Brussels after WWI. Ralph was born in Brussels in 1924. He grew up in the working class community of Saint-Gilles and in 1939, aged 15, he became a member of Hashomer Hatzair (‘Young Guard), a socialist-Zionist youth group. In May 1940, the armies of Nazi Germany invaded Belgium and the Miliband family fled the country, Ralph and his father Sam escaping first and subsequently arriving in Britain in May 1940.

In London, Ralph and his father gained work in the Chiswick area removing furniture from houses bombed in the Blitz and, after six weeks, were able to send news to their mother and sister that they were in London. Ralph’s sister and his mother managed to escape when the Jews of Belgium were being rounded up by the Nazis. Ralph’s sister and mother were hidden on a farm by a French family until after the end of the war, when they were reunited with Sam and Ralph in Britain. Several of Ralph Miliband’s relatives and his best friend were killed in the Holocaust.

Ralph gained a place at Acton Technical College (now Brunel University) with the help of the League of Nations Commission for Refugees in Jan 1941. After completing his course, Ralph gained the help of the Belgian Gov’t in exile to study at the LSE, which because of the constant bombing of London by the Luftwaffe was evacuated to the premises of Peterhouse, Cambridge. Harold Laski was a dominant figure in the LSE at this time. Miliband studied under Laski, and was considerably influenced by him politically.

Harold Laski was the Chairman of the Labour Party, 1945–1946 and a Professor at the LSE, 1926-50. In 1936, Laski formed the Left Book Club, assisted by John Strachey. John Strachey was close friends with Lord Bob Boothby, the bisexual swinging Tory politician, who was mates with various dodgy people, including the Krays (see post ‘My How Things Haven’t Changed’). Harold Macmillan’s wife Dorothy had an affair with Bob Boothby. John’s Strachey’s sister was Amabel, who married Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, the Ango-Welsh landowner who rented out the cottages on his estate in north Wales to the Welsh Bloomsbury set, as described in my post ‘The Village’. Clough’s guests – and no doubt Clough and Amabel as well – knew about Gwynne the lobotomist, Dafydd and their little ways of banging up inconvenient people for life. Clough was mates with a huge variety of people, including many of the gentry in north Wales who were propping Gwynne and Dafydd’s regime up. At least one young woman who found herself with a pregnancy which was inconvenient to the father of the baby – one of the radicals who was hanging out at Croesor with Clough’s mates – was banged up in the North Wales Hospital Denbigh in the early 1960s, only emerging into obscurity decades later when chunks of Denbigh began closing, when she was quite an elderly lady. She was ‘rehoused’ a safe distance from Croseor, lest anyone might be reminded of what they did.

Amabel Williams-Ellis, née Strachey, was a writer and is now best known for editing multitudinous volumes of fairy tales, folk legends and science fiction.

UnknownClough and Amabel outside their home, Plas Brondanw.

Clough was also mates with Bertrand Russell, who lived nearby at Penrhyndeudraeth. Bertrand had his cross to bear, namely members of his immediate family who were insane and needed incarcerating in asylums. Bertrand found a few helpful Top Docs, but was seriously miffed when he met opposition from one Top Doc – presumably not a Top Doc in north Wales – who dared tell Russell that his adult son did not need locking up. Russell’s evidence that his son was nuts included his son’s paranoid ideas that Russell was a nasty piece of work who was shagging his wife. It later became known that Russell was shagging his son’s wife. See post ‘So Who Was Angry About What?’.

As with Jean-Paul Sartre, it was often marvelled that women were magnetically attracted to Bertrand Russell, because he was small and shrivelled with rotten teeth. One of the local north Wales newspapers in the late 1980s ran a ‘profile’ of Dafydd, in which they actually commented that he was known to be ‘attractive to women’. The journo concerned had clearly not interviewed the targets of Dafydd’s attentions, it definitely was not that they were attracted to Dafydd… That profile was published while I was a patient on the psych ward in Ysbyty Gwynedd after making a serious complaint about Dafydd. Two male Angels read it in front of me and rolled around laughing because the photographer had even, as the Angels commented, ‘captured the dandruff’. Alison Taylor, a Gwynedd social worker, had by then raised concerns with Gwynedd County Council, Margaret Thatcher, Tony Newton and Carlo that children in care were being abused on a huge scale in north Wales.

In Nov 1987 Alison had been dismissed from her job by Gwynedd County Council.

People continued to joke about all these women who were tripping over themselves to shag Dafydd.

Dr Dafydd Alun Jones:

  • Bertrand Russell - Non smettete mai

For much of her childhood, Russell’s granddaughter Lucy lived with him at Penrhyndeudraeth, what with Lucy’s dad being bonkers and not fit to look after her and for some reason her mum wasn’t either. Poor old Russell had the pain of seeing Lucy go mad as well – paranoid schizophrenia, there was a lot of it about – not long after Lucy complained about Russell’s conduct towards her and then left home and found herself a boyfriend. Lucy burnt herself to death – well she was found burning to death, it was assumed that she had begun the fire – when she was 26 yrs old in April 1975. According to Top Docs, Lucy did this because she had paranoid schizophrenia, but according to Russell, it was a peace protest. Lucy’s mates maintained that she had had a really hard time.

Dafydd, do you happen to know any of the people involved in all of this perchance?

There is a son of an aristocratic family in north Wales who did not inherit because he was deemed to be mentally incompetent. When I found out about this poor sod and I told Brown, Brown responded by saying ‘now there’s a job for DA Jones’. Yes, I’m fairly sure that if we took a look at the documentation, Dafydd’s signature would be there.

‘You do realise that you’re suffering from manic-depressive insanity?’

I realised that you were a mad old bugger who was trying to get your leg over Dafydd.

  • Strange but true

To paraphrase Sybil Fawlty, did a brillianteened old stick insect like Dafydd ever really think that I would be interested?

Bertrand Russell’s son Conrad was a Lib Dem peer who was an historian who worked at Bedford College (see post ‘So Who Was Angry About What?’), the alma mater of Naomi Sargant.

Evelyn John St Loe Strachey (21 October 1901 – 15 July 1963) was born in Guildford, Surrey on 21 October 1901, the youngest of three sons of John St Loe Strachey, Editor of ‘The Spectator’. John Strachey was educated at Eton and then Magdalen College. In 1929 he was elected as the Labour MP for Birmingham Aston. Strachey became PPS to Oswald Mosley, who was then a Labour MP and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in Ramsay MacDonald’s Gov’t. In May 1930 Mosley and Strachey resigned over the Gov’ts unemployment policies. In Feb 1931 Strachey supported Mosley in founding the New Party, but Strachey resigned in July 1931 when Mosley rejected socialism and close links with the USSR. Mosley subsequently turned to fascism. Strachey lost his seat in 1931 and was a communist sympathiser for the rest of the 1930s, before breaking with the Communist Party in 1940.

During WWII Strachey served in the RAF. He was once again elected to Parliament as a Labour MP – for Dundee – in 1945, holding office under Clement Attlee as Minister of Food and as Secretary of State for War. Strachey became a Privy Councillor in 1946. Strachey continued to be a Labour MP – for Dundee West from 1950 – generally as a supporter of the right wing, until his death in 1963.

Ralph Miliband volunteered to be sent to Belgium to assist the resistance movement, but as a Polish national he was not allowed to join until the Polish authorities gave consent. He asked Harold Laski for help in joining the services and shortly afterwards A.V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, wrote advising Ralph to ‘go and see a vice-admiral at the Admiralty, who would fix it up’. Miliband joined the Royal Navy in June 1943 and served for three years in the Belgian Section of the Royal Navy.

Miliband served on several warships as a German speaking radio intelligence officer in the Mediterranean, tasked with intercepting German radio communications. In June 1944 Miliband took part in supporting the Normandy landings and saw further action at the Toulon landings.

A.V. Alexander was from Weston-super-Mare in Somerset and early in his career worked for Somerset County Council’s Local Education Authority. He was raised as an Anglican but converted to the Baptist movement. Alexander joined the Weston Co-operative Society and became Treasurer of the local Young Liberal Association and the local Trades and Labour Council. He was then elected to the Board of the Weston Co-op Society.

During WWI Alexander served with the Artists Rifles. He trained in London and studied at Magdalen College, Oxford, before earning his commission. His health suffered during training and he never saw active service, instead working as a posting officer and then an education officer. Alexander was demobbed in late 1919 and within a year of returning home, he became Vice-President of the Weston Co-op Society and Secretary of the Somerset branch of NALGO.

Alexander was Parliamentary Secretary to the Co-operative Union, 1920-46. He was elected as the Co-operative Party’s MP for Hillsborough in 1922 and was re-elected in 1923, 1924 and 1929. Alexander continued to represent Sheffield, with one break, until 1950.

In early 1929, Alexander became a member of the Cabinet in the Labour Gov’t. Alexander was First Sea Lord, 1929-31, 1940-45 and 1945-46. He was Minister of Defence, 1946-50. A.V. Alexander was a good friend of Churchill’s and was the leader of the Labour Party in the Lords, 1955-64. In the Lords, Alexander supported Tony Benn’s campaign to renounce his peerage.

A.V. Alexander will have known many of the people who featured in my posts ‘The Defence Of The Realm’ and ‘In Memoriam – Lord Carrington’, including Sir Alec Bingley and Lord Louis Mountbatten. Alec Bingley’s wife and son, Lady Juliet and William Bingley, spent decades concealing the criminality of Dafydd and others in their positions at MIND and the Mental Health Act Commission. Alec Bingley will have known the truth behind the gay sex and espionage scandal involving John Vassall in the Admiralty (see previous posts), as will have Mountbatten. Mountbatten has been named as one of those who was involved with organised abuse at the Kincora Boys’ Home.

After WWII, Miliband resumed his studies at the LSE and graduated in 1947. He began a PhD but did not complete until 1956. Miliband undertook a period of research at the LSE funded by a Leverhulme scholarship. The Leverhulme Trust is the charitable endeavour of the Lever family of Unilever fame. It was Unilever who funded Prof Fergus Lowe’s empire at UCNW in the early 1990s. Fungus secured that grant substantially by holding Unilever over a barrel with regard to Fungus’s knowledge of the wrongdoing of Dafydd and the trafficking gang. One branch of Dafydd’s empire was in Liverpool and Philip Lever aka Lord Leverhulme was Chancellor of Liverpool University, 1980-93 (see post ‘Heart Of Darkness’). Dafydd trained at Liverpool University and there were scores of Dafydd’s associates working there when Fungus bagged that Unilever grant, including Professor Robert Owen, who had concealed Dafydd’s crimes in 1988-89 (see post ‘Feet In Chains’).

Miliband then taught at the Roosevelt College (now Roosevelt University) in Chicago. In 1949 he returned to the LSE as an Assistant Lecturer.

Miliband joined the Labour Party in 1951. He joined the New Left, alongside E.P. Thompson and Eric Hobsbawm, with whom Miliband was close friends. E.P. Thompson and Eric Hobsbawm both rented cottages from Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and spent their leisure time at Croesor in north Wales. They knew about the activities of Dafydd and Gwynne et al.

In 1964, Miliband set up the ‘Socialist Register’ with John Saville, who was also part of the New Left. John Saville also studied at the LSE, where he joined the Communist Party of Great Britain. Thompson and Hobsbawm were also members of the CPGB, but Saville and Thompson left as a result of the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956. This caused a major bust-up between Thompson and Hobsbawm, because Hobsbawm remained a member of the CPGB.

Saville was also a member of the Communist Party Historians’ Group, along with Hobsbawm and Thompson.  John Saville was an academic at Hull University in Yorkshire for decades and was a member of the Hull Communist Party and its associated organisations.

Khrushchev’s denunciation of Stalin in 1956, or, more exactly, the failure of the British CP leadership to recognise its significance, transformed the Communist Party Historians’ Group from loyalists into vocal critics. Saville broke his affiliation with the Communist Party Historians Group and emerged as one of the founders of the ‘New Reasoner’, in partnership with E.P. Thompson.

I don’t mind if folk want to leave the People’s Front of Judea and join the Judean People’s Front instead, but while Clough’s mates busied themselves with this and continued the wrangling when they were staying at Croesor, Gwynne and Dafydd were causing havoc.

John Saville’s acquaintances and co-thinkers also included Stuart Hall, Philip Larkin, Doris Lessing and Raphael Samuel. Harry Newton, a left-wing student, had passed himself off as a family friend of Saville. His true identity, as an MI5 agent planted at Saville’s home in Hull, was later uncovered.

Philip Larkin was famously the Librarian at Hull University for years and acquired a following by writing things like ‘They fuck you up your mum and dad’ and ‘Sexual intercourse began/In nineteen sixty-three/(which was rather late for me) -Between the end of the “Chatterley” ban/
And the Beatles’ first LP.’

Larkin had an enthusiastic sado-masochistic relationship with literature scholar Monica Jones as well as with a few other people. Since Larkin’s death his reputation has taken quite a serious fall as a result of allegations of racism, misogyny and his major obsession with porn. Quite a lot was known for years about Larkin’s less attractive characteristics including his bothering of students and other young women, but no-one mentioned it because he was famous.

Before Larkin worked at Hull, from 1946-50 he was Assistant Librarian at Leicester University. Monica also worked at Leicester University. A long-standing paedophile ring operated in Leicester with links to Dafydd and the gang in north Wales, which was concealed by pretty much all sections of society in Leicester, as well as by numerous people working at Leicester University (see post ‘Life In Cold Blood’). There was also of course organised abuse of children and young people in Yorkshire, involving Jimmy Savile and others.

When Doris Lessing was in middle-age, she took in a teenager whom her son knew from school. The teenager had been thrown out of her home – not the teenager’s fault, her family were hugely dysfunctional and she was being abused by them – and her friend, Doris Lessing’s son, told his mum. Doris invited the girl to move in with them. The teenager was Jenny Diski, who later became a well-known writer herself. Jenny Diski experienced some dreadful things when she was young, including some truly bizarre events at the hands of Top Doctors. It seemed that no-one knew what to do with Jenny’s parents, so Jenny was constructed as the problem and was handed over to a psychiatric unit, where as a teenager she resided with much older seriously distressed people. Then she crashed out at Doris Lessing’s place. Jenny Diski wrote about her time living with the Lessings and although Diski appreciated that Lessing was sympathetic and took her in, Lessing seemed to have been remarkably unconcerned at the dreadful things that the adults around Jenny were doing to her. Lessing prioritised something that the sex trafficking social workers of north Wales all prided themselves on doing for their ‘clients’ – she dragged Jenny along to a Top Doctor to be fitted up with contraception. So if Jenny was going to be shagged by a load of worthless people, at least no-one would have to worry about a pregnancy.

Raphael Samuel worked at Ruskin College for many years from 1962. In the mid-1960s, Matt Arnold, who later became Head of Bryn Estyn, taught at Ruskin and one of his pupils was Peter Howarth, who was given a job at Bryn Estyn by Arnold months after Arnold was appointed as Head. When Arnold and Howarth were involved with Ruskin, they were working at Axwell Park Approved School in Gateshead, where children had been abused. This was concealed by Ernest Armstrong, who used his links to the Education Secretary when Armstrong Chaired the Education Committee of Sunderland Borough Council to keep a lid on it (see post ‘The Most Dangerous Man In The World – Part III). Armstrong ended up as the Labour MP for North West Durham, 1964-87 and his seat was succeeded by his daughter Hilary. Ernest and Hilary were good mates of Blair. John Prescott was a student at Ruskin (as were many high profile people in the Labour Party and trade union movement) – and a leading light in the Ruskin Students’ Union – when Howarth and Arnold were there (see post ‘A Study In Tyranny’). Prezza came from north Wales and was Labour MP for Hull East, 1970-2010.

Peter Howarth was one of the few people who went to prison as a result of the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal. Matt Arnold died from an ‘unidentified blood disease’ four days before Howarth’s trial began. Howarth died in Wakefield Prison in April 1997, just after the Waterhouse Inquiry began to hear evidence from witnesses. Ronnie Waterhouse opened the Inquiry in January 1997 but in mid-March, suddenly decided that he needed a holiday. He suspended the Inquiry for a short while during which time he went to Hong Kong to visit his son who worked there. In Hong Kong, Ronnie bumped into Derry Irvine and they had a nice meal and a chat. Howarth died while Ronnie was in Hong Kong.

John Saville co-authored with historian Asa Briggs. Briggs spent much of his career at Sussex University in Brighton and was Vice-Chancellor, 1967-76. John Allen owned brothels in Brighton to which he trafficked kids in care from north Wales and it was in Brighton where five witnesses to the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal were killed by a firebomb in April 1992 (see post ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’).

Asa Briggs was particularly furious when three Sussex undergrads protested against a visit to Sussex University of a US official at a time when there was much bad feeling towards the US re the Vietnam War and threw some red paint over the official. Briggs never forgave them and banged on about it until he died. Then Briggs’s daughter took up the baton and in approx 2004 or 2005, while her father was still very much alive, told Radio 4 that he had never recovered from the trauma of the protesting students. One of the students came from the neighbouring village to Croesor in north Wales and knew about Gwynne and Dafydd et al. When he was much older, his wife died while in the care of the paedophiles’ friends who ran the Walton Centre. At the same time, the paedophiles’ friends in north Wales planned to fit him up for a criminal offence. See post ‘Anthem For Doomed Youth’.

Asa Briggs was Chancellor of the Open University, 1978-94. It was in 1979 that Stuart Hall was tempted away from his empire at the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies at Birmingham University to take up the Chair of Sociology at the OU (see post ‘Life In Cold Blood’).

Asa came from Yorkshire and served in the Intelligence Corps in WWII and was a friend of the man who later became DG of MI5. See post ‘Anthem For Doomed Youth’ for further details of Asa’s background and contribution to the world.

Ralph Miliband ended his membership of the Labour Party in the mid-1960s and subsequently remained independent of formal political affiliation.

Ralph Miliband’s work was influenced by his friend the American sociologist C. Wright Mills.

Ralph left the LSE in 1972, having found himself torn by the controversies which had beleaguered the institution over the preceding few years, particularly the LSE’s responses to student protests in the late 1960s. He took up the post of Professor of Politics at Leeds University – where Asa Briggs had been Professor of Modern History, 1955-61. The time at Leeds was an unhappy period for Miliband. He suffered a heart attack soon after the move, did not enjoy the administrative responsibilities as a Head of Department and he resigned in 1978.

Leeds was Jimmy Savile/Paedophilia Central and the joint was certainly jumping in 1978. At that time Peter Sutcliffe was murdering women in the area and the endemically corrupt West Yorkshire Police were far too busy colluding with Savile to find a serial killer. In 1980 Peter Sutcliffe murdered a student at Leeds University. Leeds University was in panic at the time and simply advised the girls not to go out anywhere after dark for any reason.

It was in 1978 that Jimmy Savile was chucked off a cruise ship after a complaint that he’d assaulted a 14 year old girl on board. 1978 was also the year that the BBC censored comments made by Johnny Rotten regarding Savile’s unsavoury conduct.

Jimmy Savile's name 'whitewashed' from walls of Stoke ...

After Leeds, Ralph Miliband subsequently assumed several posts in Canada and the USA. Ralph took a Chair at Brandeis University in 1977 and also lectured at other universities, including York University in Toronto and the City University of New York, although he remained based in London.

By the early 1980s Miliband was active in the Socialist Society with friends such as Tariq Ali and Hilary Wainwright.

Tariq Ali was active in the New Left of the 1960s and has long been associated with the ‘New Left Review’. Ali inserted himself – so to speak – into politics through his involvement with ‘The Black Dwarf’ newspaper and joined the International Marxist Group (IMG) in 1968. Tariq Ali was recruited to the leadership of the IMG and became a member of the International Executive Committee of the (reunified) Fourth International. He also befriended influential figures such as Malcolm X, Stokely Carmichael, John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

John and Yoko holding a particularly ineffective protest:

File:Bed-In for Peace, Amsterdam 1969 - John Lennon & Yoko ...

In 1981, the IMG dissolved when its members entered the Labour Party: the IMG was promptly proscribed. Tariq Ali then abandoned activism in the revolutionary left and supported Tony Benn in his bid to become Deputy Leader of the Labour Party that year.

Some ten years ago I wrote to Tony Benn about the abuse of mental health patients in north Wales. Tony wrote me a reply thanking me for my letter and saying ‘sorry, but mental health is not my area’. In 1993 I wrote to Michael Mansfield complimenting him on his work for radical causes and told him about the abuses to which Gwynedd social workers were subjecting their clients. Michael wrote back thanking me for my letter and telling me that it was always good to have support. He didn’t mention Gwynedd social workers in his reply. Or indeed the police investigation into a possible paedophile ring in north Wales which was just coming to an end at that time.

Mike and his Radical Conscience:

Tariq Ali was a member of the Russell Tribunal, also known as the International War Crimes TribunalRussell-Sartre Tribunal, or Stockholm Tribunal. It was a private body organised by Bertrand Russell and hosted by Jean-Paul Sartre. The Tribunal investigated and evaluated American foreign policy and military intervention in Vietnam, following the 1954 defeat of French forces at Dien Bien Phu and the establishment of North and South Vietnam. The Tribunal did not investigate alleged war crimes by the Viet Cong. Bertrand Russell justified the establishment of this body as follows:

If certain acts and violations of treaties are crimes, they are crimes whether the United States does them or whether Germany does them. We are not prepared to lay down a rule of criminal conduct against others which we would not be willing to have invoked against us.

Justice Robert H. Jackson, Chief Prosecutor, Nuremberg War Crimes Trials.

The tribunal was constituted in Nov 1966 and was conducted in two sessions in 1967, in Stockholm and Roskilde. The Tribunal was largely ignored in the US. And probably everywhere else as well.

‘Nine-year-old DoVan Ngoc exhibits injuries from napalm in Vietnam’. Should Tariq ever suffer third degree chemical burns himself, perhaps he could let me know and I’ll arrange for a crowd of pompous self-righteous old farts with no intention of providing medical treatment, along with TV cameras, to inspect his injuries whilst he’s starkers. You’d never get this through an ethics committee. Unless of course it was an NHS one.

Further tribunals were set up in the following decades on the same model, using the denomination Russell Tribunal. eg. Russell Tribunal on Latin America focused on human rights violations in dictatorships of Argentina and Brazil (Rome, 1973), on Chile’s military coup d’état (Rome, 1974–76), on Human Rights in Psychiatry (Berlin, 2001) – ooh I’m glad to hear that, who gave evidence, Dafydd? – on Iraq (Brussels, 2004) and on Palestine (Barcelona, 2009–12). A hearing of the Russell-Sartre Tribunal was announced in Venice (23 Aug 2014) on human rights issues in the East Ukraine war.

Here’s Tariq and Vanessa Redgrave:

Tariq, if you drop me an e mail, I’ll explain why the revolution never happened.

Hilary Wainwright, another friend of Ralph’s, is a sociologist and activist who is best known for being editor of ‘Red Pepper’ magazine.

Hilary Wainwright’s father was Richard Wainwright, the Liberal MP for Colne Valley (in Yorkshire), 1966-70 and 1974-87. Richard Wainright was a contemporary of Jeremy Thorpe and Cyril Smith in Parliament. In 1953, Wainwright was elected to the Executive of the Liberal Party, and served as Party Chairman, 1970-72. He was Chairman of the Liberal Party Research Department (1968–70). After 1974, Wainwright focused on the financial management of the party. Wainwright worked with Eric Varley during the Lib-Lab pact of 1977-78. The Lib-Lab pact involved a lot of dealing between unscrupulous people in an attempt to hide everyone’s dirty washing. Little wonder it fell apart.

After Gerald Kaufperson died, it was discovered that Kaufperson had left his entire worldly goods to Eric Varley in his will (see post ‘News From Sicily’). Kaufperson’s children were gobsmacked, but the trauma wasn’t too great because Varley had pre-deceased Kaufperson, so they got the dosh after all, despite Kaufperson’s best efforts.

So Richard Wainwright was there throughout all the action: Jeremy telling people that he was planning to kill Norman, Norman telling people that Jeremy was doing terrible things to him and Lisa Nandy’s granddad just insulting Norman in response, Wainwright causing Thorpe’s resignation in 1976, when he called publicly on Thorpe to sue Norman Scott over the homosexual allegations that eventually figured in Thorpe’s trial, Jeremy standing trial and being acquitted after a farce (see post ‘My How Things Haven’t Changed’); the two Davids forming an Alliance involving paedophiles’ friends Woy and Shirl, David Steel dismissing Cyril Smith’s multiple serious sexual assaults on children as merely Cyril ‘spanking a few bare bottoms’ and stating that Jeremy’s trial was a tragedy for Jeremy, as opposed to a tragedy for the man whose dog was murdered and would have been murdered himself had the hit man’s gun not jammed.

Hilary: if I know about this, I’m sure that you do.

Richard Wainwright was a founding member of the Executive Committee of Charter 88. Some of those keeping quiet about the wrongdoing at St George’s Hospital Medical School were involved with Charter 88.

When the Liberal Party merged with the SDP to form the Liberal Democrats, Wainwright became a member working as President of the Yorkshire Federation of Liberal Democrats (1989–97).

Wainwright was a Methodist lay preacher. So he will have known child molester George Thomas who was one of the best known Methodist lay preachers in the UK for decades (see post ‘It Wasn’t On Our Radar’).

Between 1948 and 1958 Richard Wainwright served on the Leeds Group B Hospital Management Committee and was Chairman of the Arthington Hospital and Thorp Arch Hospital Committees. He served on the Committee for the Leeds, Skyrac and Morley Savings Bank Board of Managers and Leeds Library Committee. Further roles included Treasurer of the Leeds Invalid Children’s Aid Society and the Bethany House Free Church Probation Home.

Wainwright will have encountered Jimmy Savile.

Between 1959 and 1984 Wainwright was a member of the Joseph Rowntree Social Services Trust Limited (now the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust).

Wainwright’s wife Joyce was an active member of the Yorkshire Women’s Liberal Federation, fulfilling roles as both Chairman and President, and Chairman of the Colne Valley Women’s Liberal Council (1959–1987). She was also a member of the Executive of the national Women’s Liberal Federation. Joyce will have known as much as her husband, perhaps even more, because in those days ‘interfering with children’ was something that women heard about more often than men.

Hilary Wainwright’s brother, Martin,d worked for ‘The Guardian’ for 37 yrs, leaving in 2013. Martin was the Northern Editor of ‘The Guardian’ for 17 years until 2012. Hilary has occasionally contributed to ‘The Guardian’. Martin had published books on ‘countryside topics’ and on cars and he writes a blog about moths. He didn’t publish anything about Jimmy Savile or the Westminster Paedophile Ring, who I imagine impacted rather more on the nation’s life than moths ever have. Martin’s two sons Oliver and Tom are both journos, for ‘The Guardian’ and ‘The Economist’ respectively.

Hilary Wainwright was educated at the Mount School, York and St Anne’s College, Oxford. She took a further degree at St Antony’s College, Oxford, graduating in 1973. Until 1979, Wainwright was a research fellow at the Department of Sociology at Durham University. Prof David Byrne, a sociologist at Durham University, is someone who has worked in the north east for a long time and knew about organised child abuse in the north east of England but kept schtum about it (see post ‘I Warn You…’).

Hilary was a researcher at the Technology Department of the Open University, 1979-82. In 1982, she became Red Ken’s Deputy Chief Economic Adviser to the GLC, where she would have found out about all those kids in care from London Boroughs who were sent to children’s homes in north Wales.

Wainwright is a Fellow of the Transnational Institute, Amsterdam; Senior Research Associate at the International Centre for Participation Studies at the Department for Peace Studies, University of Bradford, UK and previously research fellow at the Centre for the Study of Global Governance at the LSE. She has also been a visiting Professor and Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles; Havens Center, University of Wisconsin, Madison and Todai University, Tokyo. Formerly on the Editorial Board of ‘New Left Review’, Hilary was also on the National Council of the Catalyst think tank.

Hilary is ‘concerned with the emergence of new forms of democratic accountability within parties, movements and the state. She has documented examples of resurgent democratic movements in many countries around the world and the lessons they provide for progressive politics’.

OK Hil, I’ll call on you next re the resurgent democratic movement, because Wedgy Benn, Mike Mansfield and Tariq haven’t managed to launch the revolution yet. Let me know when you can fit it in among the columns for ‘The Guardian’.

In July 2015, Wainwright endorsed Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign in the Labour Party leadership election. She said: ‘To be honest, the Labour Party isn’t worth that valuable three quid. But a platform for someone who not only insists that there is an alternative, but stretches himself to support everyone who is fighting for it, is beyond anything that money can buy.’ Hilary added: ‘I believe Jeremy Corbyn should be supported not as an attempt to ‘reclaim the Labour Party’ but as a transition to a political organisation beyond the Labour Party and beyond parliamentary politics’.

Jeremy Corbyn formerly worked for NUPE, which represented many social workers and managers who presided over the abuse of children in their care. Dr Liz Davies, who blew the whistle on the abuse of children in the care of Islington Borough Council, maintains that she told Jeremy, the local MP, that the kids were being abused but Jeremy did not act. Some of the children abused by the Islington gang were killed and one social worker disappeared and was never seen again. Jeremy’s election agent, Derek Sawyer, was the business partner of Derek Slade, who was imprisoned for sexual assaults on a number of children (see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’).

In 1971, Wainwright married the British philosopher Roy Bhaskar. They split up, remained close friends, but never divorced.

Whilst on the topic of Socialist Feminist Wimmin, I’ll mention the magical realist feminist novelist Angela Carter. Angela was very much part of the zeitgeist of the 1970s and 80s and wrote about matters such as the abuse and enslavement of wimmin and contributed her thoughts to the debate on porn. Angela grew up in south London and as a teenager suffered from anorexia. Angela was often held up to be someone with Caring Wimmin’s Ways. So imagine my surprise when I was working at St George’s Hospital Medical School and I discovered that the dreadful Dr Cathy Wilson had become friends with Angela Carter via a reading group. The Cathy who, along with her colleagues, was concealing a paedophile and trafficking ring in south London with links across Europe. Cathy really admired Angela’s Wimmin’s Writing.

One of Carter’s most well-known books is ‘Nights At The Circus’. Other volumes included ‘The Infernal Desire Machines Of Dr Hoffman’ and ‘The Bloody Chamber’.

Ralph Miliband died in 1994. He is buried in Highgate Cemetery, close to Karl Marx. My friends who were targeted by a gangster and then forced out of their jobs at the Royal Television Society and the BBC after they found out what was happening to me in north Wales lived just down the road from Highgate Cemetery when they were targeted. They were members of the Labour Party and campaigned for Tessa Jowell no less, lived among the lefties in Camden yet no-one stood by them. See post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’.

The Milibands lived in Primrose Hill and later in Bolton Gardens, South Kensington.

Ralph’s elder son, David, was Labour MP for South Shields, 2001-13, one of Blair’s allies up there in the north east, at the site of one of the big paedophile gangs with direct links to Dafydd et al. David served in the Cabinet, from 2007-10 as Foreign Secretary, during which time he wowed Hillary Clinton. That was before Hillary just knew that she would be breaking a glass ceiling, until America decided that they’d rather have Trump than another sodding Clinton. The Clinton had elbowed every other Democrat possibility out of the way because she just knew that being President was her right, so the Republicans got in.

For details of David Miliband’s unscrupulous struggle to climb the greasy pole, see posts ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’. David is now failing to make headway re the Syria crisis, in his capacity as CEO of the International Rescue Committee. The Syrians are being barrel bombed by a former London Top Doc (see post ‘The Rakes’ Progress’) and we know how much trouble politicians have saying no to Top Docs who are killing people.

Ralph’s younger son Ed’s climb to the top was as unprincipled as that of his brother, although it was actually Ed who beat his brother – although David was perceived to be more able – in the Labour Party leadership contest in Sept 2010.

Ed was elected as Labour MP for Doncaster North in 2005. So once again, Blair ensured that a safe pair of hands ended up in a constituency with a problem of long standing child sexual abuse. Ed served as Minister for the Third Sector in the Cabinet Office, 2007-08, in which role he was party to the excesses of the Third Sector, including their ruthless fundraising methods, their collusion with the abuse of vulnerable people and their terror of challenging Gov’t. In Oct 2008 Ed was promoted to the position of Secretary of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

It was Ed who drafted the 2010 Labour Party manifesto. Labour lost the 2010 General Election. So the only sensible course of action for the Labour Party, was to, just a few months later, select Ed as their leader. The Windbag announced that he would endorse Ed’s campaign, saying that Ed had ‘the capacity to inspire people’ and that he had ‘strong values and the ability to ‘lift’ people’. Other senior Labour figures who backed Ed included Tony Benn and former Deputy Leaders Fattersley and Margaret Beckett in her caravan.

If all Labour supporters known to me put their heads in their hands and said ‘Oh God no, Ed’s going to be a disaster, we’ll lose the fucking election now’, why couldn’t Benn, Fattersely and Beckett have seen it? Obviously I know why the Windbag couldn’t, the Windbag has a well-developed inability to foresee an election thrashing.

Li’l old Ed certainly got off to a flying start in politics. In the late 1980s, before he took his A levels, he worked as an intern for Tony Benn, a family friend. After A levels, Ed went to Corpus Christie, Oxford, where he became JCR President. I know someone who knew Ed in those days and Ed gave them a bollocking for voting for what Ed claimed was the ‘establishment’ candidate in a University election. So is this person now filling his boots in the financial services, pursuing an establishment job or beavering away in the staid civil service, unlike the Rebel Ed? No. He’s an academic at Bangor University publishing excellent work but he also has an outstanding track record with regard to mentoring and supporting disadvantaged students or students with difficulties. He has been bullied in the workplace, partly because of his insistence on defending other members of staff who were treated unfairly and on one occasion because of his support for me as the paedophiles’ friends came after my blood. He showed rather more strength than your dad’s mates did Ed. This academic’s Head of Dept who behaved so appallingly was married to one of the UCU reps, a revolutionary Marxist. Oh the irony. Furthermore, my former colleague didn’t feel able to make representation about all the gross experiences to which he was subjected by his Head of Dept, because some of it could only be interpreted as sexual harassment and he felt that a male member of staff could not really make a complaint about a female Head of Dept sexually harassing him. He even wondered if he was misinterpreting things. I did explain that he wasn’t, when a female Head of Dept kneels on a desk in front of a male member of staff and shoves her cleavage in his face, she does know what she is doing. Didn’t you Stephanie Marriott? As she did when she knowingly tried to block research grant applications that I had written with the man whom Marriott was doing all that she could to drive out of his job.

Come on Ed, send out a #Me Too in support of your old neighbour at Corpus Christie!

In 1992 Ed was employed as a researcher on C4 for Andrew Rawnsley, on the programme ‘A Week In Politics’. There was at the time a police investigation into allegations that a VIP paedophile ring was in operation in north Wales. The ring which so many of Ed’s dad’s mates knew about.

In 1993 Ed became the policy researcher and speechwriter to Harriet. The Harriet who was MP for Peckham, where my mates were rehoused after they had been hounded out of Archway by a gangster. Peckham was positively dangerous, their flat was broken into within three weeks of them moving in, then a woman dosed up to the eye-balls on heroin drove into one of my friends and injured her and the local GP accused my friend of malingering to obtain compensation (see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw’).

Harriet fought election campaigns on her support for the NHS. Harriet’s dad was a Harley Street doctor.

In 1994, Ed worked for Gordon Brown, under the new Party leader Blair!

Ed was Gordon’s SPAD, 1997-02. Up in north Wales, the Waterhouse Inquiry came and went and the corpses of former kids in care and psych patients were discovered on a regular basis. All those metropolitan revolutionaries who knew people in north Wales from their visits to the region remained silent.

In July 2002, it was announced that Ed would take a 12-month unpaid sabbatical from HM Treasury to be a visiting scholar at Harvard. He spent his time at Harvard teaching economics and stayed there after Sept 2003 for an additional semester teaching a course titled ‘What’s Left? The Politics of Social Justice’. During this time, in the spirit of social justice, Primrose Hill dwelling-Oxford-educated-son of a well-known Professor Ed was granted ‘access’ to Senator John Kerry and reported to Gordon Brown on the presidential hopeful’s progress.

In 2002 in north Wales, the paedophile gang that Ed’s dad’s friends all knew about embarked upon yet another attempt to have me imprisoned on the basis of their perjury (see post ‘Interesting Happenings In The Legal System’).

After Ed returned to the UK in Jan 200, Gordon Brown appointed him Chairman of HM Treasury’s Council of Economic Advisers with specific responsibility for directing the UK’s long-term economic planning.

In early 2005, Ed resigned his advisory role to HM Treasury to stand for election. Gordon Brown visited Doncaster North during the General Election campaign to support Ed. Ed was elected on 5 May 2005.

It was about at this time that John McTernan’s brother-in-law stole my computer.

On 27 Sept 2013, the ‘Daily Mail’ published an article disputing Ralph Miliband’s patriotism with the headline ‘The man who hated Britain’. Three days later, after negotiations, the ‘Mail’ published a response by Ed describing his father’s life and saying that the Daily Mail’s article was character assassination. At the same time as publishing this response, the newspaper reiterated its assertion and published an editorial refusing to apologise. The Labour leader’s office responded that Ed: ‘wanted the ‘Daily Mail’ to treat his late father’s reputation fairly. Rather than acknowledge it has smeared his father, the newspaper has repeated its original claim. This simply diminishes the ‘Daily Mail’ further. It will be for people to judge whether this newspaper’s treatment of a war veteran, Jewish refugee from the Nazis and distinguished academic reflects the values and decency we should all expect in our political debate.’

Just for the record Ed, I don’t think that your dad hated Britain either and it is only the ‘Daily Mail’ that could ever equate being a Marxist sociologist with ‘hating Britain’. However I do think that your dad was a grade A hypocrite who, along with many of his friends, turned his back on some desperate people in need because helping them would have involved going public on some very unpalatable truths about serious crime and abuse in swathes of the welfare state, including the NHS. Your dad died at the age of 70 after heart surgery had given him a few extra years. He wasn’t beaten and raped in a children’s home and then fitted up and transferred to Risley Remand Centre where he was then murdered; he wasn’t unlawfully imprisoned in a dungeon in an asylum in the middle of the Welsh hills and he wasn’t even forced out of two careers and denied all NHS treatment because he had complained about a group of Top Doctors who were running a trafficking ring. Your dad suffered when he was young Ed, but he suffered at the hands of the Nazis. No-one then spent a lifetime telling him that the Nazis were caring people doing their best and that he was a lying bastard for suggesting that they weren’t.

Ed and David did not experience disadvantage when they were young. Ralph made damn sure that they never ended up in a kids home in north Wales or on the receiving end of Dafydd. Instead they bagged jobs as interns for Tony Benn.

Ed had another scrap with the press – the ‘Mail On Sunday’ – when it was found that a reporter had intruded on the private funeral of Ed’s uncle. Lord Rothermere and the Mail On Sunday’s Editor apologised for this. The funeral concerned was that of Uncle Harry aka Prof Harry Keen, a Top Doc at Guy’s and Tommy’s. Some of Uncle Harry’s colleagues were among the highest earners in medicine, holding NHS consultancy posts and running Harley Street practices. A number of Uncle Harry’s colleagues knew Dafydd et al and were concealing their crimes. Dafydd et al weren’t pilfering from the office Ed, they ran a paedophile gang and killed witnesses whilst your Uncle’s mates ignored it and drove down to Harley Street in their Rolls Royces.

What’s Left? Nothing Ed, you and your extended network have had the lot.

The Boxers are all dead Ed. They’ve worked their arses off, they’ve been bled dry and flogged off to the knackers yard. There are only Napoleans, Snowballs and Squealers left. They can’t do anything, they won’t work hard and they all want to be leader. What are you going to do?

Despite Ed losing the election, the UK’s splendid system of patronage and cronyism meant that Ed was allowed to nominate a few who would be elevated to the peerage in the bun fest. One such person nominated by Ed was Spencer Livermore. Spencer ran Ed’s campaign. Ed’s disastrous, failed campaign. So naturally Spencer was given a seat in the Lords.

Spencer Elliot Livermore, Baron Livermore (born 12 June 1975) is a Labour Party strategy and communications professional ie. he organises campaigns which fail.

Spencer served as an adviser to the New Labour Gov’t, 1997-08, as Director of Strategy to the PM and as Chief Strategy Adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Anyone remember that huge financial crash which happened when Spencer and Gordon were steering the ship?  Harriet thought that if only Lehman Brothers had been called Lehman Sisters it would have all been avoided, but I suspect that there might have been something rather more amiss than that.

Spencer also served as a senior adviser on four General Elections campaigns: 1997, 2001, 2005, and 2015. ‘The Guardian’ described him as one of the most experienced election campaigners in the Labour Party. Philip Gould described him in ‘The Unfinished Revolution’ as one of seven people who devised the strategy for the election-winning 2001 and 2005 General Election campaigns.

Spencer, do you know anything about that computer of mine which John McTernan’s brother-in-law nicked? Or about Betty Williams, one of Blair’s babes, getting her minders to throw me out of Tesco in Bangor when she was canvassing in there before the 2005 General Election and I asked her a few questions about deaths and patient harm in the north Wales NHS?

Livermore grew up in Essex and studied at the LSE, graduating in 1996.

During his time with New Labour, Livermore also worked on a number of US congressional campaigns.

Spencer is gay and is married to Seb Dance MEP, who represents the London region for the Labour Party. Seb was born in Wandsworth in Dec 1981. So Seb probably grew up just down the road from St George’s Hospital when the staff of that institution – many of whom lived in Wandsworth – were colluding with a trafficking ring. By the late 1980s, Dafydd and Lucille in north Wales had a direct link to Wandsworth Social Services. The Director of Education for Wandsworth, Donald Naismith, was known to be a paedophile and was abusing kids in care. The staff of St George’s and Wandsworth Social Services were also selling and distributing Class A drugs. The gang operating out of St George’s/Wandsworth was a pan-European operation.

Seb, many of the people who are named on my documents relating to these crimes are not only still alive but they are working in medicine/the social services, many of them in London. In your capacity as an MEP for London, should you not be taking an interest in this?

Michael Mansfield lived in Wandsworth and was someone else who ignored it all.

Seb went to Manchester University and worked as a sabbatical officer with the SU. When Seb was at Manchester, the mental health services in Manchester were dangerous, patients were dying and there was also intimidation of staff who had dared speak out about this by their NHS colleagues AND union officials.

Before Seb became an MEP, he worked for the charidee Action Aid. One of the mental health patients whom I knew in north Wales who was unlawfully detained and wrecked by huge doses of anti-psychotics etc had previously lived in London and worked for Action Aid. She told me a few very worrying things about Action Aid Seb, but of course anything she said was dismissed by the Angels because she was mad. On one occasion she maintained that Dr Tony Francis arrived on the ward late at night and exposed himself to her. Her parents – who were her carers – were livid and demanded an investigation. They were told that Francis was not in the hospital that night. I don’t know whether he was or was not, but I do know that this young woman had been originally sectioned by Jackie Brandt, a Gwynedd social worker who had detained me unlawfully just months previously. I also know that Dafydd turned up at the North Wales Hospital Denbigh to see me at midnight, when I was in bed. Dafydd’s late night visit was not recorded on my file anywhere.

By the way Seb, did you know John Westendorp of Action Aid? Because I did! He came and stayed at my place on Anglesey in 2000. He’d come to north Wales because a Hergest patient who was a talented artist donated an oil painting to be sold to raise money for Action Aid. The artist originally offered the painting to Ysbyty Gwynedd, but weeks later the Angel Bridget Lloyd perjured herself and had him arrested, so he withdrew his offer and gave the painting to Action Aid instead.

Funny Seb working for Action Aid, what with me having had contact with them before he was employed by Action Aid! And a Hergest-paedophile gang link as well!

Seb was an adviser to the Secretary of State for N Ireland, 2007-09. Which was Shaun Woodward, who began his political career as a Tory MP. Before he entered Parliament, Woodward worked as a researcher and producer for BBC TV News and Current Affairs on the programmes ‘That’s Life’, ‘Panorama’ and ‘Newsnight’, 1982-90. So Shaun worked for ‘That’s Life’ when I wrote to Esther about the abuse of patients at the North Wales Hospital Denbigh, when Esther launched her mental health campaign in the late 1980s.

From 1991–2, Shaun was Director of Communications for the Conservative Party. While the first police investigation of a possible VIP paedophile ring in north Wales was taking place. And of course while my career and the careers of three other witnesses were ruined (see post ‘The Turn Of The Screw). And when relatives and friends of senior members of the Tory Party were turning up in Somerset giving Coutts cheques to people who knew what was happening to me in north Wales (see post ‘Upper Class Twit Of The Year – Shooting Themselves’). Hey Shaun, do you remember Feb 1991, when Lilibet knighted Peter Morrison, a member of the north Wales/Cheshire paedophile ring? You can’t have not noticed, Morrison had run Thatcher’s leadership campaign for her just weeks before, but she lost to Major.

Woodward was selected as Douglas Hurd’s successor as Conservative candidate for Witney at the 1997 General Election. I wonder if Shaun ever got round to chatting to Douglas about all the criminality in north Wales that Douglas concealed when he was Home Secretary? Or how Douglas covered up events at the Kincora Boys’ Home when Douglas was Secretary of State for N Ireland.

Woodward then left the Tories and joined the ruling Labour Party in 1999, after William Hague sacked Woodward from the front bench for supporting the repeal of Section 28. Woodward was given a job co-ordinating the Labour Party’s 2001 General Election campaign. Woodward’s local Conservative constituency association requested that he resign and run again in a by-election under the Labour banner. Woodward continued to represent his constituency for two years.

Woodward’s defection was welcomed by Blair, Mandy et al, but he was strongly criticised by others from both the Tory and Labour Parties.

In the June 2001 General Election, Woodward decided not to contest his Witney seat and instead found a safe Labour seat in St Helen’s South. Chris Mullin wrote with shock of ‘the awful Shaun Woodward’, calling ‘the New Labour elite parachuting [Woodward] into a safe seat … one of New Labour’s vilest stitch-ups … made my flesh creep’. St Helen’s was part of Dafydd’s Merseyside empire (see post ‘Reports Of Death Were Greatly Exaggerated’). In May 2005, Woodward was re-elected for St Helen’s South.

After the 2005 election, Woodward was appointed junior Minister at the N Ireland Office, under Peter Hain. In the May 2006 reshuffle, Blair named Woodward junior Minister at the Dept for Culture, Media and Sport. On 28 June 2007, in his first Cabinet, newly appointed PM Gordon Brown appointed Woodward as the N Ireland Secretary, replacing Peter Hain. Woodward chose not to receive a ministerial salary because of his personal wealth. As N Ireland Secretary, Woodward reportedly became a close confidant of Gordon Brown. This was largely due to Woodward’s previous first hand experiences of the beleaguered Gov’t of John Major.

Woodward was retained as Shadow Secretary of State for N Ireland by Labour leader Ed for just under a year.

In Nov 2013 Woodward announced that he would stand down from Parliament at the next General Election. Ed wrote to him: ‘In 1999, you made an incredibly hard decision to cross the floor of the House and join the Labour party. It took personal courage and political commitment, and our party will forever be grateful to you.’

Woodward married Camilla Davan Sainsbury, daughter of former Conservative MP Tim Sainsbury of the supermarkets in May 1987; they announced their separation after 28 years on 20 Dec 2015. They have one son and three daughters, including the food blogger Ella Woodward.

Lord David Sainsbury is Sir Tim Sainsbury’s cousin. David Sainsbury gave millions to the Labour Party and was appointed Science Minister, two events which were, as stressed by Charlie Falconer, unrelated. David founded the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health, which at one point was virtually dictating mental health policy under Blair and was shamelessly plugged in teaching resources for the NVQ in Mental Health. David Sainsbury was appointed Chancellor of Cambridge University in 2011 after donating more than £100 million to the institution. More recently, Lord David has bankrolled research into neuroscience at UCL. For further details regarding whom David is funding, see post ‘Inside Information About A Hergest Unit Death’.

After leaving his wife, Woodward was reported to be in a relationship with Luke Redgrave, a film cameraman and the grandson of the actor Sir Michael Redgrave, Vanessa’s father. In 2016 Woodward and Redgrave were living together in The Hamptons, New York State.

In March 2001, Woodward was said to be the only Labour MP with a butler.

Woodward currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Human Dignity Trust and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

After Gordon Brown failed to call a General Election, Spencer Livermore left Downing Street in 2008 and joined Saatchi & Saatchi as Senior Strategist, shaping strategy for clients including Eurostar, the BBC and Asda. Livermore also became a Director at London-based communications consultancy Blue Rubicon. He developed insight-based communication strategies for multinational companies, including Shell, Coca-Cola, GSK, Lloyds Banking Group, Centrica and McDonalds.

In 2012, Spencer set up Thirty Six Strategy, where he applied the techniques of political campaign strategy to advise clients on their corporate and brand positioning.

In Dec 2013 Livermore returned to the political arena when he was appointed the Labour Party’s General Election Campaign Director for its unsuccessful 2015 General Election. In Nov 2015 Spencer gave an interview on BBC Radio 4 setting out why Labour lost that election. I presumed that it had something to do with the Party leader being a tosser, who surrounded himself with other tossers and the whole lot of them enraging the nation when they openly discussed which tosser was going to have which Cabinet job weeks before the election. Dyed in the wool Tories weren’t going to vote Labour anyway and although Spencer might not have noticed this, thousands of potential Labour voters have now had a bellyful of strategic communication advisers specialising in corporate brand positioning. It is bollocks Spencer and it’s losing the Labour Party elections.

Pets Win Prizes

Readers who follow the comments on this blog will have read the additional information that I supplied regarding Dr Alun Waddon following my post ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’. Not everyone reads comments and because the information that I supplied in the comments section is crucial to this post, I’ll just repeat it and expand on it here.

In ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’ I quoted from an email that I received from a former psychology student at Bangor University who told me that Alun Waddon, a senior lecturer in the School of Psychology at Bangor, offered a class of students the opportunity to view child abuse images. My correspondent was not only appalled by this incident but also noted that after Waddon died, Bangor University named a lecture theatre after the ‘inspiring lecturer’ that was Alun Waddon – the lecture theatre in which, my correspondent told me, Waddon’s generous offer was made.

Alun Waddon had worked at the Psychology Dept in Bangor since 1970. Until the late 1980s, the Psychology Dept at Bangor was firmly under the grip of Dr Dafydd Alun Jones and the paedophiles. Professor Fergus Lowe eventually overthrew Dafydd and imposed his own equally corrupt regime. Fungus was not as mad or as stupid as Dafydd et al but he was just as toxic, so Fungus was highly successful at extracting a great deal of funding out of organisations with key figures who desperately wanted to keep the details of the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal and the associated criminality quiet.

Alun Waddon carried out a lot of research with the North Wales Police during the years when the North Wales Police was ridden with corruption, refused to co-operate with an investigation into the abuse of children in care and then stated that an investigation had demonstrated no evidence of a paedophile ring or the use of child porn by children’s home staff. Waddon also worked with the North Wales Police throughout the years of the cover-up which was the Waterhouse Inquiry.

I stress that Alun Waddon conducted research WITH the North Wales Police – the research did not involve investigating the experiences of the general public, victims of crime or defendants regarding their interactions with the police. The research investigated the police’s view of various matters. Waddon’s research included the experiences of custody sergeants. At least some of those custody sergeants were violently assaulting people who had been arrested, indecently assaulting them and/or demanding sexual favours from them, framing people and illegally detaining them. Waddon conducted research on PACE – that was the PACE which was sometimes ignored by officers of the North Wales Police.

After many years of Waddon conducting research with the North Wales Police, the North Wales Police acquired a new Chief Constable, Richard Brunstrom, who made it one of his priorities to clean up the force. In the process Mr Brunstrom found it necessary to remove two Assistant Chief Constables, one of whom was then appointed as the Chair of the NW Wales NHS Trust.

The corruption in the North Wales Police was legendary.

Waddon’s research with an endemically corrupt force who concealed a paedophile gang who killed witnesses to their criminality was conducted with another academic from Bangor, Colin Baker aka Toad.

Toad began his academic career in the Psychology Dept but moved to the Education Dept. Like Alun Waddon, Toad’s time in Bangor went back a long way, back to the days when Dafydd and the paedophiles ran UCNW (Bangor University). My post ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’ describes how many of the teachers and teacher trainers in north Wales knew about the abuse of children. For a long while, Bangor had two institutions which trained teachers – St Mary’s, which was part of UCNW (Bangor University) and Bangor Normal College. Staff in both of these institutions knew that children were being abused – there were varying degrees of collusion on the part of different members of staff. The Normal College eventually merged with the University.

Some twelve years ago or so, there was a great deal of boasting on the part of Toad et al when he and some colleagues succeeded in extracting a huge quantity of money out of the ESRC to establish the ESRC Centre for Research on Bilingualism at Bangor University.

Toad’s area of expertise is in bilingualism and although Bangor does have expertise in bilingualism it is not what it could or should be, considering that the region is a bilingual region with many citizens speaking both Welsh and English. Furthermore Toad and his colleagues certainly missed a few opportunities to offer their expertise. There was a highly publicised case in mid-Wales in which a boy was removed from the care of one of his parents – his parents had split up – on the basis of the opinion of an ‘expert’ who maintained that the Welsh medium school that the boy was attending, by dint of it teaching him in Welsh, was profoundly damaging to the boy’s education and development. The boy was a Welsh speaker. The opinion articulated by the ‘expert’ from England would not have looked out of place in the famous Blue Books of 1847, which were written by three English speaking schools inspectors who maintained that teaching children though the medium of Welsh held them back intellectually and caused immorality. Did Toad and the Experts from Bangor mount a challenge to this nonsense? No. They remained completely silent. There wasn’t even so much as a letter to a newspaper. Then there was the denial of Welsh language rights to Welsh speakers in English prisons which caused a diplomatic incident. Not a word from any of them.

I commented on this at the time to one of my senior colleagues who observed that Toad et al were such a bunch of craven creeps that none of them would dare take on the might of the British state, no matter how much they mouthed off in Bangor.

Although Toad lapped up much of the praise for the development of the ESRC Centre, the School of Psychology were heavily involved in the bid as was the School of Linguistics. From what I could see, Professor Margaret Deuchar from Linguistics was doing much of the heavy lifting as it were, whilst Toad turned up to the wine receptions.

A former member of staff of the School of Linguistics in Bangor is Alun Waddon’s wife, Dr Michelle Aldridge-Waddon – she now works at Cardiff University.

At about the time that the funding for the ESRC Centre was announced, Margaret Deuchar acquired a new PhD student. He was the son of two recently retired mental health social workers who had spent decades working in north Wales, including at the North Wales Hospital Denbigh. They knew all about the criminality of Dafydd and the paedophiles. They certainly didn’t like it, but they didn’t speak up.

There were of course people involved with the ESRC Centre who were not paedophiles’ friends – but the key movers and shakers were. Presiding over it all was Fungus, who had extracting dosh from people in high places who knew about the barrel of crap in north Wales down to an art.

At the time of the establishment of the ESRC Centre, I was working at Bangor and I did wonder how a group of people who weren’t quite as good as they pretended to be landed so much dosh at a time when the ESRC was being very fussy indeed as to what and who it funded. The success rate for big bids by then was very, very small and Oxbridge and Russell Group universities were very obviously being prioritised by the ESRC. When dosh went to Wales it almost always went to Cardiff University. But Toad was the lucky winner. I presumed that Toad et al must have had hidden depths that I was unaware of.

Indeed they did. They all had the shit on the Westminster Paedophile Ring of the 1970s, 80s and 90s as well as on the associated cover-up that was the Waterhouse Inquiry. They also knew that Blair was continuing to keep the lid on it and Fungus at least will have had the wit to know that Blair had dished out scores of Ministerial posts and peerages to folk who were keeping schtum. Like me, Fungus will have identified all of them and will have known exactly which roles they occupied in Blair’s administrations. He’ll have known that Cherie was mates with the ‘radical lawyers’ in London who concealed it all whilst it was happening as well.

Fungus was not a pretty straight kind of guy in the least and he’ll have known exactly what someone else who pretended that he was a pretty straight kind of guy had been up to.

The dosh for the ESRC Centre was confirmed around 2006-07. Bids that big take a few years to prepare so I imagine that Fungus and Toad started negotiations in about 2004. There will have been several ’rounds’ that they had to get through before they made it through to the jackpot. A bid that big will have had to be endorsed at the highest levels of the ESRC.

So who was responsible for giving a bunch of paedophiles’ friends so much money on the basis of years of not particularly earth-shattering research conducted with their associates in the paedophile gang? Step forward Sir Ian Diamond, who was Chief Exec of the ESRC whilst Fungus and Toad did the negotiating.

The Diamond Geezer is an economist and a statistician who studied at the LSE and St Andrews. He spent much of his career at Southampton University. He was appointed a lecturer  at Southampton in 1980, became a senior lecturer, then a Professor and was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2001.

Southampton University contained a nexus of Top Doctors who were central to the concealing of the wrongdoing of Dafydd and the paedophiles – leading lights included Sir Donald Acheson (see post ‘Professor Prestigious And His Associates’).

The Diamond Geezer’s work ‘has crossed many disciplinary boundaries, most notably working in the area of population but also in health, both in the developed and less developed world, in environmental noise and with local authorities’.

If the Diamond Geezer has crunched numbers in health research, he’ll know just what a sorry state the NHS is in and what a lot of lies have been told by the Top Doctors about ‘excellence’. He’ll have noticed the mortality rates and suicide statistics for north Wales as well.

Diamond Chaired the Executive Group of Research Councils UK, the body representing all seven UK Research Councils, 2004-09, as well as the ESRC.

Ian Diamond was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, 2010-17.

Sir Ian is or was Chair of Lloyds Banking Group Foundation for England and Wales. He is or was Chair of British Universities and Colleges Sport, Chair (Ex Officio) of the Mitchell Hospital Trust, Deputy Chair of UCAS and Interim Deputy Chair of the Dept for International Development Research Advisory Group, 2017.

Diamond is also Trustee of the Iona Cathedral Trust and the Population Investigation Committee.

Diamond was knighted in 2013.

Another pet won a prize two years after David Cameron gave Diamond his K – Alun Waddon’s son, Luke! Here’s Luke picking up his award from Samantha Cameron for being ‘inspirational’ in the way that he dealt with his father’s death years previously:

Luke

Sir Ian Diamond was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Aberdeen in 2013.

In 2016 Diamond he led a review of university finance in Wales which was commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government, which recommended that grants towards tuition fees should be replaced with support for living costs instead.

Sir Ian’s accomplice at the ESRC when he handed over all that dosh to the paedophiles’ friends was the Chair of the ESRC, Dame Frances Cairncross.

Frances Cairncross was the economics correspondent of ‘The Guardian’, 1973-81 and women’s page editor from 1981-84. Before working on ‘The Guardian’, Frances worked at ‘The Times’, 1967-69, ‘The Banker’, 1969 and ‘The Observer’, 1970-73. She was on the staff of ‘The Economist’, 1984-04, being managing editor, 1999-04.

Cairncross was President of the British Science Association, 2005–06.

Cairncross was Rector of Exeter College, Oxford, 2004-14. She was a non-executive director of Stramongate Ltd from 2005-11 and a presenter of Radio 4’s Analysis programme.

In 2004-05, Cairncross was High Sheriff of Greater London.

In 2015, Cairncross was appointed Chair of the Court of Heriot-Watt University.

Cairncross Chairs the Executive Committee of the Institute for Fiscal Studies. She is a Senior Fellow at the School of Public Policy, University of California, Los Angeles.

Cairncross’s brother Sandy Cairncross is an epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has been involved with the institution since 1977. So Sandy was there when they unlawfully withdrew their offer of my place on an MSc there in 1986, just a few weeks after the corrupt GP Dr DGE Wood found out that I had the offer.

Sandy’s career has been spent in research and teaching and in developing countries, implementing water, sanitation and public health programmes. His experience includes building water supplies in Lesotho and seven years as a water and sanitation engineer for the Government of Mozambique.

Sandy is Research Director of the DFID-funded SHARE Research Consortium, whose aim is applied research with partners WaterAid, Shack Dwellers International, the International Institute for Environment and Development and the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh.

Sandy Cairncross is also Deputy Director of the African SNOWS Consortium, to build research capacity of six African universities in water, sanitation and environmental health.

Until 2015, Sandy served as Chair of Teaching aids at Low Cost (TALC), an international NGO. He is also Chair of Africa AHEAD.

There is a Centre for Arid Zone Studies at Bangor University which was established when the paedophiles’ friends controlled the whole institution. Sandy will know them, because when CAZS was first set up there weren’t many people involved with such work and Bangor was a leader in the field.

Dame Frances Cairncross’s uncle was John Cairncross, the MI6 officer who was a Soviet double agent. Cairncross worked initially in the Cabinet Office as a Private Secretary to Lord Hankey, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Later he transferred to the Foreign Office.

Between 1941-45 John Cairncross supplied the Soviets with 5,832 documents, according to Russian archives. He joined MI6 in 1944 and worked under Kim Philby. Yuri Modin, the Russian MGB (later KGB) control in London, claimed that Cairncross gave him details of nuclear arms to be stationed with NATO in West Germany.

Cairncross admitted to spying in 1951 after MI5 found papers in Guy Burgess’s flat with a handwritten note from him, after Burgess’s flight to Moscow. Cairncross was never prosecuted which later led to charges that the Government engaged in a conspiracy to cover up his role. Indeed, the identity of the infamous ‘fifth man’ in the Cambridge Five remained a mystery outside intelligence circles until 1990, when KGB defector Oleg Gordievsky confirmed that it was Cairncross. Although Cairncross knew Anthony Blunt at Cambridge and Guy Burgess in the Foreign Office, he claimed not to have been aware that they or any of the other Cambridge spies were also passing secrets to the Russians.

I continue to be impressed at the connections of Dafydd and the paedophiles…

I will be on holday for a few days from Saturday but when I return I will be blogging about Ronnie Waterhouse’s extensive network of very influential friends and relatives. Ronnie only hung out with the best. His friends and neighbours were Cabinet Ministers, newspaper barons, leading lights in the arts and of course High Court judges and law lords. Ronnie spent a great deal of time in the Garrick, in the Savoy or in the finest hotels and restaurants in France and Italy. Many of Ronnie’s friends and relatives are now dead, but because so many of them were directly involved with concealing the criminality of Dafydd and the paedophiles, they are still worth blogging about.

Ronnie’s children however are of course very much with us and as with the offspring of other paedophiles’ friends, Ronnie went to great lengths to give them the best start in life. From Ronnie’s own account in his autobiography ‘Child Of Another Century’ his children benefited greatly from Ronnie’s many friendships with folk in high places.

So let me introduce Thomas, Sophie and Laura, Ronnie’s three children who grew up during the 1970s when Ronnie lived in north London and his neighbours included David Astor, the owner and editor of ‘The Observer’ (see post ‘In Memoriam – Bronwen, Lady Astor’); John Platts-Mills, the former Labour MP and barrister who defended the Great Train Robbers and the Kray Twins; Leo Abse, the bent lawyer and south Wales Labour MP who concealed George Thomas’s sexual offences against children for decades and who was also investigated for historical sexual offences against children himself (see post ‘It Wasn’t On Our Radar’); Paul and Linda McCartney; Mark and Arabella Lennox-Boyd (Mark Lennox-Boyd was PPS to Thatcher). Ronnie and his family didn’t just have dinner with this lot and others like them, he holidayed with them as well.

Ronnie’s son Thomas Waterhouse was born in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. The Lindo Wing has been the favourite birth place for Royal babies for the last few decades. Thomas went to Milbrook House School where he shared a dorm with Viscount Linley, Princess Margaret’s son. One of the schools which Viscount Linley attended has recently been at the centre of a serious sexual abuse scandal after a number of old boys came forward with terrible accounts, but I don’t know whether that was Milbrook House or another school.

After Milbrook House, Thomas went to Uppingham School. There were major traumas for the Waterhouse family when Thomas caught measles when he was in the sixth form. Ronnie explained that it was ‘very worrying and disappointing for all of us’ as Thomas ‘had to spend some time in a darkened room’. Ronnie enlarges: ‘quite apart from the damage to his academic prospects, he had been looking forward to opening the batting for the Uppingham first XI and that was no longer a practical possibility’.

Now I’m sure that catching measles wasn’t particularly nice for Thomas and no doubt he was miffed that he couldn’t open the batting for the Uppingham first XI. But I’ll remind everyone that in 1997 Ronnie Waterhouse heard first hand accounts from the former residents of children’s homes in north Wales who had been beaten, starved, forced to labour in local businesses for no wages, buggered and gang raped. Ronnie agreed that one girl of 14 who had become pregnant was ‘very disturbed’ and thus dismissed her claim that it was a social worker who had made her pregnant when he raped her. Another girl pissed Ronnie off and was dismissed as a very bad witness because she kept crying whilst she gave evidence regarding the multiple sexual assaults that she had experienced. Ronnie’s Public Inquiry employed scores of lawyers and barristers who aggressively cross-examined such witnesses and called them liars. Ronnie guaranteed immunity from prosecution for everyone who had staffed and managed those children’s homes who condescended to give evidence at the Inquiry and furthermore Ronnie and the other members of his panel were also guaranteed immunity from prosecution. Ronnie was a personal friend of some of the people who had run the ‘services’ which facilitated the paedophile gang and who had ignored complaints about abuse in the homes under investigation.

Whilst this was going on, I was prosecuted on the basis of the perjury of Bridget Lloyd (see post ‘A Solicitor’s Letter From North East Wales MIND’), an Angel who was a colleague of the paedophile gang whose members had been granted immunity from prosecution if they appeared at Ronnie’s Inquiry.

How are you getting on Dr DGE Wood? Happy memories of a vile old pervert called Gwynne Williams have suddenly come flooding back to me! A vile old pervert who I think knew Sir Ronnie Waterhouse…

Fortunately for Thomas Waterhouse, although he missed opening the batting for the Uppingham first XI and his A levels were ‘disappointing’, all was not lost. Davies’s College in London ‘prepared’ Thomas for his resits – all those years of expensive schooling having obviously not done the trick – and Thomas then went to Aberystwyth University to study law and politics. Ronnie was mates with numerous Aber law graduates who had become judges and politicians and he also knew a number of people involved in managing and governing that institution.

Thomas graduated in 1984.

1984 was the year that I graduated as well – and the year that I encountered Gwynne Williams and the year that Brown and I were threatened by Dr DGE Wood after we complained about Williams!

After graduation, there was more disappointment for poor old Thomas. No he wasn’t propositioned by a Top Doctor who was running a paedophile ring and then threatened and harassed by that Top Doc’s mates for the next few decades, but Thomas was rejected for an Army Commission. Sir Ronnie and his wife were furious!

It was OK though, dad came to the rescue. Ronnie’s book tells us that ‘through the good offices of my ex-Singaporean friend Graham Starforth Hill’ Thomas landed a job with American Express Bank in 1985.

No washing-up dishes in the British Hotel in Bangor at a rate of 50p/hour or gutting the fish because his violent social worker has ordered him to for Thomas.

Graham Starforth Hill died in 2017. In 1993, Judge Ian Starforth Hill described the eight year old victim of an attempted rape as ‘not entirely an angel herself’ and gave her attacker two years probation.

It was onward and upward for Thomas after that boost to his career by Graham Starforth Hill. In 1992, Thomas married a Danish girl and later joined Sumitomo Bank – which later became the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Ltd. Ronnie’s book tells us that Thomas was Head of the Project Finance Team, then Head of Energy and Natural Resources, then Joint General Manager.

Thomas Waterhouse’s Linked In profile provides the following information regarding his career:

1985-87: Special Transactions Group, American Express Bank Ltd, London Branch
1987-88: Global Management Training Programme, American Express Bank Ltd., New York
1988-1992: Director, Global Aerospace Group, American Express Bank Ltd, London
1992-1993: Special Assignment, loan recoveries in UK property sector, American Express Bank Ltd.

1993-96: International Finance Group, The Sumitomo Bank Ltd, London Branch.

1996-99: International Finance Dept Asia, The Sumitomo Bank Ltd, Hong Kong Branch.

2000-15: Structured Finance Dept Europe, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Ltd, London.

May 2015: International Banking Dept/Structured Finance Dept, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Dubai Branch.

Yma O Hyd!

Thomas was posted to Hong Kong in Oct 1996 and returned to Kent in Feb 1999. So Thomas jetted off to Hong Kong at the very time that his father opened the Inquiry into the rape and abuse of children which over decades was facilitated and ignored by people known to the Waterhouse family and he returned after the victims had given evidence and had their characters trashed in public.

Thomas was quite a wag according to Ronnie. On one occasion, Thomas hired a Rolls Royce and turned up in it to meet his old dad! How Ronnie laughed when he realised that Thomas was playing a joke on him – Ronnie explained that Thomas’s own car was just a Bentley.

Thomas should have tried travelling on the buses in north Wales – Crosville, Arriva and D&G Motors. I went on them for years. It’s how I met so many of the victims of Dafydd and the paedophiles.

‘We didn’t know. There was no evidence of a paedophile ring in north Wales.’

Well no-one was going to find out whether there was by dining at the Savoy or working as a banker in Hong Kong were they.

Thomas’s sister Sophie was born in 1966. Ronnie makes a big deal of Sophie having been taught by Heather Brigstocke when Brigstocke was Headmistress of Frances Holland School.

Baroness Heather Brigstocke was a Conservative peer. She went to Girton College, Cambridge and when young hung out with Norman St John Stevas. When I worked at St George’s Hospital Medical School I was told by a researcher who frequented the London gay scene that Norman St John Stevas was holding ‘spanking parties with little boys’, that this was widely known and that ‘no-one knows how he’s getting away with it’. Er, could Norman’s friendship with the Queen Mum – Gawd Bless ‘Er – have been anything to do with the lack of press reports? The Queen Mum who’s loyal servant Backstairs Billy died of an HIV related condition (see post ‘The Defence Of The Realm’). That’s the Queen Mum whose grandson was mates with Jimmy Savile and who called upon Savile’s abilities as a marriage guidance counsellor.

After leaving Frances Holland School, Heather Brigstocke was High Mistress of St Paul’s Girls’ School. Heather was married to the civil servant and diplomat Geoffrey Brigstocke. She was Founding Chairman of Home Start International, a Governor of Imperial College, London and Chairman of the English Speaking Union. Brigstocke was also Chairman of Landau Forte College in Derby and an honorary bencher of the Inner Temple.

During her time at St Paul’s, Heather Brigstocke served on numerous outside boards and committees. She was a member of the Council of the Middlesex Hospital Medical School – Gwynne Williams’s alma mater – was on the national committee of the Automobile Association and served on the councils of the City University, the Royal Society of Arts and of St George’s College, Windsor.

In addition Brigstocke was President of the Bishop Creighton House Settlement, Fulham, a Governor of the Museum of London, a non-executive Director of LWT, a Trustee of the National Gallery and a Governor of Wellington College and the Royal Ballet School. She served as President of the Girls’ School Association in 1980-81.

After retiring from St Paul’s in 1989, Brigstocke acquired a new range of appointments, serving on the Museums and Galleries Commission, the Health Education Authority and the Modern Foreign Languages Working Group. She also served on the Boards of ‘The Times’, Great Universal Stores and Burberry’s.

After Heather Brigstocke’s first husband was killed in an air accident, she married law lord Lord Hugh Griffiths. She had previously known Griffiths’ wife Evelyn because Evelyn had been Chair of the Governors at St Paul’s Girls’ School.

In the 1960s Brigtocke’s first husband was posted to Washington DC and she taught in the White House nursery, one of her charges being the child of Jackie Kennedy.

Brigstocke’s obituaries all contain curious mentions of how ‘difficult’ she was, of how many people – the including parents of her pupils – didn’t like her, but how she also had an ability to extract large amounts of cash out of parents and had celebrity parents, including David Dimbleby and Cleo Laine, jumping when she told them to.

So why was this monstrous old bag able to order them all around?

Heather Brigstocke was killed along with her assistant Rosemary Magid in Athens in April 2004. They were hit by a speeding driver.

One of Heather Brigstocke’s children is the comedian Marcus Brigstocke. Marcus is impeccably politically correct and won’t hear a word against the NHS. Marcus Brigstocke was one of the comedians who performed at The Giddy Goat fundraiser for St David’s Hospice in 2012 (see post ‘The Bloody State We’re In’). The Chief Exec of St David’s Hospice at the time was Alun Davies, the perjurer and former manager of the Hergest Unit. The Giddy Goat event occurred just after Operational Pallial re-opened the investigation into the North Wales Child Abuse Scandal and after demands that the Waterhouse Inquiry should be reviewed in the wake of allegations that it was a huge cover-up.

Marcus – Alun Davies was one of those concealing a paedophile gang who murdered their victims you big numpty.

In 1984 Sophie Waterhouse gained entry t her father’s old Cambridge College, St John’s. Sophie certainly get to mix with the best. I have mentioned in previous posts that Ronnie and his wife were good mates of Geoffrey and Elspeth Howe. Ronnie made friends with Geoffrey Howe at Cambridge, they both worked on the corrupt Chester and Wales Circuit and they remained lifelong friends. They were always dining at each others houses and spending weekends and holidays together – Ronnie did a great deal of socialising and holidaying for a man with such onerous responsibilities – including during the years when Howe was helping Thatcher wreck the nation. When Howe reached the dizzy heights of Foreign Secretary, Ronnie and his wife used to crash at Chevening, the official residence which Thatch had given Howe the use of. On one such occasion, Sophie ‘deputised’ for Ronnie’s wife. It’s certainly an interesting way to describe taking your daughter along for a freebie at the Foreign Secretary’s place.

In his book Ronnie commented sniffily that when Thatcher ‘foolishly’ demoted Howe from Foreign Secretary to mere Deputy PM, Howe lost the use of Chevening and they all had to slum it at Dorneywood, which wasn’t half so good.

Mark Humphrys was a former kid in care from north Wales who was found dead after giving evidence in court that former North Wales Police Superintendent Gordon Anglesea had molested him. Mark was found hanging from the stairwell in the block of flats in Wrexham where he lived.

At least Thatch died in the Ritz. I don’t know where Ronnie and Geoffrey Howe died, but I do know that it wasn’t in the stairwell of some flats in Wrexham.

In 1988, Sophie’s natural talents won her a place at the National Film and TV School at Beaconsfield. The Director of that establishment is (or was) Lord David Puttnam, a Labour peer and Blair’s mate. When Sophie gained entry to the National Film and TV School, two of my friends had just finished postgrad courses in film and media. They used to talk about the National Film and TV School as being somewhere that one could only bag a place if one handed over a great deal of money, but if you did you were made because of the connections that you were guaranteed to make there.

Ronnie explained in his book that the multi-talented Sophie later decided that a film producer’s life was not for her. Instead Sophie moved to Rhodes and became a novelist. After yet another change of heart, Sophie ended up in San Francisco and then moved to Los Angeles in 2001, where she ‘found work with’ film producer Lou Pitt, who was located in Beverley Hills. In 2005 Sophie ended up as Vice-President of the Pitt Group! Which pit would that be then Sophie? The same fucking pit that your father and his mates lived in, the cesspit perhaps?

Ronnie’s other daughter Laura went to the same school as Dame Judi Dench’s children! The Dame Judi who is Patron of the St James’s Singers, among whose members are Professor Robert Bluglass – who concealed the criminality of Dafydd and the paedophiles (see post ‘Enter Professor Robert Bluglass CBE’) – and his wife Kerry Bluglass, who is also a Top Doctor. Ronnie mentions that Laura went to Malvern College, although I don’t know if that was the school which also hosted Dame Judi’s offspring.

There was a student at UCNW when I was a student there who went to Malvern College. I didn’t know this girl, but the staff at the Student Health Centre who were facilitating the trafficking ring were acutely aware of her presence because they mentioned her to me. Dr DGE Wood would have known damn well not to refer her to Gwynne Williams or there would have been trouble.

After Malvern College, Laura went to SOAS. I always thought that SOAS was heaving with radical students, but one of my friend’s daughters went to SOAS and she told me that there was in reality a great many very privileged students there who were just playing at being radical.

Ronnie tells us in his book that he doesn’t like weddings, but he certainly managed to attend a great many of them, usually of course weddings with receptions at the Savoy or the Ritz. Whilst at weddings, Ronnie inevitably ended up meeting the rich and famous. He even came across Vanessa Redgrave at his niece’s wedding. Ronnie’s niece Eliza Thompson was a friend of Vanessa’s daughter Natasha Richardson. Natasha died in a ski-ing accident in 2009. I’m glad that I never met Ronnie Waterhouse, there seems to be a frighteningly high mortality rate among people who bump into him. Meeting Ronnie Waterhouse is even more dangerous than complaining about Gwynne Williams and taking the piss out of Dr Dafydd Alun Jones.

Ronnie did of course attend Laura’s wedding to Andrew Shakeshaft. Googling the name Andrew Shakeshaft throws up a number of people all with equally incriminating jobs, such as lawyers, NHS staff etc. I have no idea which Andrew Shakeshaft Laura married. However, at the end of Ronnie’s book he mentions that Laura and her husband established an Ayurveda practice. Laura and Andrew still seem to be doing that – adverts can be found online for Laura and Andrew. They practice therapies that even I haven’t heard of – Laura is an Amnanda Therapist and the following spiel about her can be found online:

‘I have over 15 years experience as a massage therapist and Ayurvedic practitioner, helping people improve their health and well-being through bodywork, herbal supplements and nutrition.
I also work with horses and am a practitioner of Masterson Method – a combination of massage, myofascial release and movement.
Amnanda therapy is a deeply healing and transformative process and accompanying both people and animals through the process is very rewarding and a privilege.
People and animals are both affected by the negative impact of stress on their physical and emotional health. When we live with our animals and form deep bonds we also become sensitive to each others emotions. Working with people and their horses or dogs I’ve found that whether it’s the animal or human that receives Amnanda there is a positive impact on the relationship. As old patterns of behaviour are released the partnership enjoys better communication and understanding. To go through the process together has an even more profound effect, deepening the bond of trust and opening the doors to a greatly enhanced relationship.’

I would not be surprised in the least if Laura and Andrew are laying their healing hands upon – and applying their Ayurvedic methods to – those who have suffered the trauma of sexual abuse…

How about establishing a clinic in north Wales then Laura? There’s a great many traumatised people up there and they can’t even access NHS care…

Now I’ll mention a few more who could have made an appearance at Ronnie’s Inquiry but didn’t.

There was a midwife who lived in Llandegfan on Anglesey in the mid 1980s who worked at the St David’s Laundry (see post ‘The BMA And It’s Ethics’) and knew all about the wrongdoing there. This lady also knew of a girl who lived in the village who had been completely abandoned by her parents and was coping as best as she could by living with her gran in much reduced circumstances on Anglesey. The girl in question was bright and was actually coping well – she was also very generous of spirit and befriended two other girls from Llandegfan who were isolated bullied by the other kids and indeed teachers at Ysgol David Hughes in Menai Bridge. At least one of those girls was being abused by a group of men on Anglesey. The midwife knew this, she discussed it in front of me. Not in terms of ‘what should be done to help those kids’ – she simply mentioned that one had to be ‘strong to survive’. Not their her own daughter was particularly strong – she was a nice girl, but not particularly academic and was wrapped in cotton wool by her mum and dad. What did she do when she left David Hughes? She became a nurse of course, like her mum.

Ooh its a shame isn’t it. The kids in the children’s homes were beaten, buggered and raped. Oh well just not strong enough to survive, that was their problem…Not that any of us super strong adults will be giving evidence ourselves, Christ we don’t want to be found dead like those kids who complained were…

It’s called Being Really Feeble Tesni’s mum – and the rest of you…

Another person who could provide a statement is Mrs Barnes. Mrs Barnes – she did have a first name, it was Gwyneth, but she preferred to be known as Mrs – worked as a cleaner in the Hergest Unit. I know that Mrs Barnes witnessed the neglect and abuse of the patients there because when I was doing my PhD, I made friends with the lady who cleaned my office who also used to be a cleaner at the Hergest Unit and she discussed the shocking mistreatment of patients at the Hergest and told me that all the cleaners there were horrified at what was going on. Mrs Barnes achieved fame as a result of her letters to the ‘Bangor and Anglesey Mail’ in which she grumbled about the alleged delinquency of Bangor University students. Mrs Barnes maintained that the students were urinating in her garden, chucking broken bottles over the hedge, brawling and all sorts. I’m not quite sure where Mrs Barnes found these students from, they certainly weren’t like any of the students that I ever came across, but I suppose that she might have met some dreadful ones.

Mrs Barnes and her husband fitted cameras on posts in their garden with the intention of filming the wrongdoing and threatened to sue Bangor University. One very angry letter of theirs to the ‘Bangor and Anglesey Mail’ stated that they would name Prof Fergus Lowe in their court action. Mrs Barnes: Fungus was universally loathed and you’d have been the most popular woman in Bangor if you had sued him. The irony is that Fungus’s entire power base was built upon his knowledge of the scores of people who were concealing the sex trafficking ring that those Top Doctors who’s crimes you were also keeping quiet about were facilitating. It wasn’t the students who were the problem, it was the people running Ysbyty Gwynedd whom you worked for and whom you refused to challenge…

Here’s another story of Everyday Service User Folk. In about 1993 I was having a cup of coffee in Gerrard’s bakery and tea shop in Bangor when a man whom I had not encountered before started a conversation with me. I’m not one of these people who refuses to talk to what Jasper Carrot called The Nutter On The Bus, so I didn’t run away. I did hear something pretty horrendous though. The man explained that he had joined a church in Bangor in an attempt to gain forgiveness after his wife had killed herself. He was very desperate to gain forgiveness and told me that it was his fault that his wife had killed herself. As the conversation continued, he revealed that they had both been mental health patients and that he had been ferociously violent to his wife throughout their marriage. She had suffered from serious depression and one day after a particularly dreadful fight he had walked out and returned to the house later to find that she had hung herself. Wracked with horror and guilt, he went to find his psychiatrist, who told him that he shouldn’t feel guilty, there really was nothing that anyone could have done to help her. That psychiatrist was Tony Francis (Dr X).

Whilst I was chatting to this man, a hippy from Bethesda saw me. He later told me that he knew the man from the old days – he was a long term drug user, he was known to be violent and the other hippies all ended up avoiding him because he was ‘bad news’.

Nothing that anyone could do, tch tch. Left living with a violent drug abusing man whilst seriously ill. The problem with the mentally ill is they just won’t take responsibility…

Some years ago a patient at the Ablett Unit, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, was murdered by a patient whom she met whilst in the Ablett Unit and subsequently set up home with. The staff knew that he had a history of violence towards his female partners but didn’t tell her.

Whilst we’re on the subject of men known to be abusive to female partners who are supported in this by the NHS, I’ll mention John Clark, former drunken wife-beating scumbag of Bethesda. John Clark was married to a hippy girl called Cath Milton. The whole of Bethesda knew that Clark was a violent drunk and Cath frequently sought shelter with friends and neighbours when she was too frightened to go home. Cath began to suffer from serious abdominal pains and consulted Bethesda surgery. This went on for months, whilst all GPs at Bethesda surgery assured Cath that she had indigestion. It transpired that she didn’t – Cath was terminally ill and died a few months later at the age of 38 years. Whilst she was dying John Clark sent her out to do the shopping and of course to buy his cider. For the last two weeks of her life, Cath was in Ysbyty Gwynedd. John Clark prevented anyone from visiting her, even those people whom Cath wanted to see. Ysbyty Gwynedd knew exactly what the score was and said nothing.

Imagine everyone’s surprise when within months of Cath’s death, after John Clark had sold their house and allegedly ‘gone back to Ireland’, he reappeared in Bethesda with a vulnerable young woman in tow, with whom he subsequently had a baby. John Clark was then offered a North Wales Housing Association house on the basis of, it was alleged, another corrupt deal of the sort detailed in my post ‘Killing Floor – I Know Cos I Was There!’ As far as John Clark and Cath were concerned, it was another case of I Know Cos I Was There. Furthermore I know that John Clark and Cath knew about the framing and stuffing over of patient F as described in my post ‘Killing Floor – I Know Cos I Was There!’. John Clark and Cath knew about a great deal more as well, including the rampant corruption of the North Wales Police, the shenanigans of he who was keen on school girls Ed Ingram, as detailed in my post ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’ and the collusion of Bethesda surgery with all this.

No-one could have bought Cath off because she was honest. No wonder her terminal illness ‘wasn’t diagnosed’ and it was old Clark who gained material advantage.

I witnessed one of the Bethesda GPs, Dr Paul Nickson, get very angry with one of Cath’s former neighbours and friends after her death when this person said that he’d ‘lost Cath to stomach cancer’. Nickson snapped ‘it wasn’t stomach cancer’. So what was it then Dr Nickson, because no-one in Bethesda ever found out and Cath didn’t die of indigestion no matter what you and your colleagues said.

In my post ‘Sleeping With The Fishes’ I mentioned that Dame Judi Dench and Dr Paul Nickson were Quakers and that some years ago Dafydd had begun cosying up to the Quakers at the same time as a victim of Dafydd and the paedophiles became a target of a GP who was a Quaker in Cumbria. I presumed that these were unrelated facts, but last night I received an e mail telling me that Owain Gethin Evans, the former Assistant Director of Social Services for Gwynedd County Council, was a prominent Quaker in north west Wales. Gethin Evans was responsible for the management of the children’s homes in Gwynedd for years whilst the paedophile gang operated within them (see post ‘I Know Nuzzing…’). Gethin was one of Nefyn Dodd’s henchmen, Nefyn Dodd being the appallingly brutal manager of the Ty’r Felin children’s home in Bangor, where children were trafficked to Dolphin Square as well as to other locations. I have been told that after the whistleblower Alison Taylor was suspended, Gethin and Lucille Hughes (Gwynedd’s Director of Social Services and Dafydd’s mistress) toured Gwynedd and warned all staff that anyone caught communicating with Alison would be dismissed.

I have been told that Gethin lived at Clynnog Fawr on the Llyn Peninsula. I didn’t realise that but it might explain a few things. I lived in Clynnog Fawr for a while and within two weeks of me moving in someone was spreading poison about me. I presumed that it was someone from the mental health services but at the time I didn’t know anyone in Clynnog apart from my mates with whom I was living, so I wondered who it was. I didn’t know about Gethin’s presence in the village. It might also explain why after the Waterhouse Inquiry was announced, Tony Francis was given ‘new responsibilities’ as the psychiatrist for the Llyn and purchased himself a second home at Trefor, a village down the road from Clynnog Fawr. Francis had only just bought a grand new house on Anglesey and after about a year he had a hissy fit, withdrew from his responsibilities on the Llyn and flogged his house at Trefor.

So Gethin, did you and your temporary neighbour manage to organise whatever was needed during that year when old Ronnie was taking evidence from the former kids in care whom you and your neighbour both knew were being battered, raped and occasionally killed?

Someone else who might like to give a statement about Dafydd and his NHS colleagues is Dr Alex Plows, former environmental activist and latterly a sociologist of dubious competence. As a young woman Alex lived in a bender in Dafydd’s garden and described Dafydd as being a ‘really good laugh’. Yes, these things really did happen. When Alex decided to metamorphose into a sociologist, her remit for conducting health and social care research with Ysbyty Gwynedd did not prevent her from posting up a photo of herself on Facebook whilst at a party with a plateful of shrooms. Who knows, perhaps Alex discussed the quality of those shrooms with the Rev Wynne Roberts, the Elvis-impersonating, parishioner-shagging hospital chaplain at the Betsi (see post ‘Music Therapy Anyone?’) whom Alex interviewed in his role as Service Users’ Champion.

Another member of the Service Users Committee at the Betsi who was interviewed by Alex was Ann Perkins. Ann Perkins is married to John Perkins, the hopelessly incompetent former Academic Registrar of Bangor University. John and Ann are internationalists, so much so that John Perkins used to undertake much-publicised visits to Afghanistan where – claimed John – he drank green tea with war lords in order to persuade them to develop education facilities for girls and wimmin. Which left those of us in Bangor rolling around laughing, because John Perkins couldn’t even facilitate education for wimmin in Wales.

John Perkins might be able to give us a clue regarding the destruction of the career and indeed life of one woman in particular though – Mary Wynch. When Mary was unlawfully arrested and imprisoned by Dafydd and the paedophiles (see post ‘The Mary Wynch Case – Details’), Mary worked as a secretary in the Agriculture Dept at UCNW, which, in the aftermath of Mary’s unlawful imprisonment, was presided over by the toxic and incompetent Prof J.B. Owen, member of the cylch. J.B. Owen was a sheep farmer on Anglesey whose family had handed over the dosh which had founded the Agriculture Dept many moons before. Before J.B. Owen returned to the family seat to carry out vendettas against people who had crossed the path of the paedophile gang, he had been a geneticist at Aberdeen University….

One member of staff in the Agriculture Dept in the 1980s was the agricultural economist Prof Richard Howarth. Howarth was an adviser to Thatcher. How ever someone who worked with that bunch of clowns ended up advising Thatch I’d be most interested to know. Particularly because so many of Howarth’s colleagues were facilitating the paedophile ring which was supplying Thatcher’s friend and Minister Sir Peter Morrison with under-aged boys.

What has this all got to do with Dr John Perkins? Probably quite a lot. John Perkins started his career in the Agriculture Dept. He will know why it was that Dafydd and the paedophiles destroyed Mary Wynch. So what did Mary find out about then Perkins?

News highlights from the past couple of days include the results of the inquest on Gordon Anglesea, who died in prison in 2016, after being convicted of historic sexual offences against boys in care in north Wales. In 2004 Anglesea won nearly £400,000 libel damages after ‘Private Eye’ and others named him as having molested boys in care in north Wales (see posts ‘Y Gwir Yn Erbyn Y Byd’ and ‘Y Gwir Yn Erbyn Y Byd – A Few Additional Comments’). It has been stated that Anglesea died of organ failure, which doesn’t actually tell us very much.

Previous posts have mentioned that after the Jillings Report was submitted in 1996, days later a local authority re-organisation resulted in the disappearance of Clwyd County Council, which managed the children’s homes under investigation by Jillings’s team. I previously observed that therefore there was nobody to sue, should any of the surviving former kids in care try to do so.

The local authority reorganisation was a result of a previous recommendation by the Boundary Commission. One of Ronnie Waterhouse’s many roles was that of a boundary commissioner.

I have however received an e mail informing me that Flintshire Council was the succeeding authority after Clwyd County Council was dissolved and Flintshire assumed legal responsibilities from Clwyd and could indeed be sued. Whilst I accept that, Charlie Falconer and Vera Baird subsequently made changes to legal aid which would now make that a near impossibility. At the time, Charlie Falconer’s legal aid changes nearly put the two lawyers in north Wales who were representing kids in care and mental health patients out of business. Charlie Falconer did this in his capacity as Lord Chancellor – or it might have been whilst he was Secretary of State for Justice –  in Blair’s Gov’t. It was of course Cherie and Blair’s friend and colleague Michael Beloff QC who ensured that no-one at all except Clwyd County Council’s lawyers and insurers ever saw the full contents of the Jillings Report (see post ‘It’s A Piece Of Cake…’). Charlie Falconer is Blair’s former flatmate.

Blair gave a peerage to Patricia Scotland QC whilst she represented the Welsh Office at the Waterhouse Inquiry and grilled all those victims of serious crime. Then when Gordon became PM, he made her Attorney General!

There has been much media coverage of the NHS IT cock-up which led to many thousands of mistakes in the breast cancer screening programme in England and the deaths of hundreds of women. Jeremy Hunt and others ‘cannot understand’ why it has taken eight years for the mistake to be revealed. The NHS concealing catastrophic errors? Well blow me down with a feather. The oncologist Karol Sikora has written a piece for the Mail Online in which he asked why ‘alarm bells’ were not heard sooner. Karole Sikora worked with the crooks  and fraudsters at Hammersmith Hospital/Royal Postgraduate Medical School for many years, including during 1987-88, when I was doing an MSc there. If I and other postgrads knew about some of the wrongdoing that was going on there (see posts ‘A Cause Close To Our Hearts’ and ‘I Don’t Believe It!’), I’m sure that Karol Sikora did. He did not ring any alarm bells.

Lastly, the event that the relatives of those patients abused and neglected in the Tawel Fan Scandal at the Ablett Unit, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, have waited so long for. Today saw the publication of the ‘independent’ HASCAS (Health and Social Care Advisory Service) investigation into the scandal. HASCAS has concluded that there was no ‘institutional abuse’ at Tawel Fan and that there are conflicting opinions regarding the ‘care’ of patients.

In a press briefing on the findings, HASCAS report author Dr Androulla Johnstone said family accounts of their relatives’ treatment on the ward had ‘differed greatly’.

‘For example, some families stated that in their view Tawel Fan ward was an abusive environment where their loved ones were mistreated, neglected and came to harm,’ Johnstone said. ‘Other families offered the view that the care and treatment their loved ones received was of a very good standard with staff showing kindness and compassion throughout their relative’s entire episode of care.’

An undercover recording of life on Tawel Fan Ward showed patients crawling around naked on floors covered in urine and faeces, Angels swearing at patients and one man with an untreated fractured arm. The recording was made by a nurse whose previous concerns had been ignored. That nurse has now been sacked and struck off for ‘having sex with a patient’. What received rather less publicity was the fact that the patient with whom she had sex with was her own husband. She did not have sex with him in public or in the hospital or during work hours. Neither was he her patient, he was someone else’s patient. No, she didn’t even meet him through her work either.

Johnstone also stated that ‘divisive public comment, active campaigning and social media reporting have created an environment of negativity and retribution before the full facts could be made know. This is regrettable.’

Androulla, as someone who writes a blog of ‘negativity’ re the NHS and Betsi Board, I will remind you that I am living in hiding because people tried to kill me after I dared complain about the paedophiles’ friends who run the mental health services and the wider NHS in north Wales. No wonder so many of us are ‘negative’. What is ‘regrettable’ is that for decades now, vulnerable people in the care of the health and social services in north Wales – and elsewhere – have been brutalised to such an extend that it has sometimes killed them and yet every ‘independent investigation’ into yet another scandal somehow does not find convincing evidence that people are being abused. Somehow, someone somewhere always manages to say that they experienced loving kindness from the Angels of a sort that they never believed was possible. Presumably whilst someone held a shotgun to their head as they signed the statement that had been drafted for them.

As usual the only politician who has once more roundly condemned the Betsi Board is the Tory AM Darren Millar. Darren has stated that the HASCAS report is a whitewash. Save your breath Darren, the NHS really is not listening. Elderly patients filmed crawling around naked with broken bones whilst covered in shit as Angels swear at them? No worries. As Dr Dafydd Alun Jones would reassure us, when they say no they mean yes. And it really should be remembered that eight year old girls who are the victims of attempted rapes are ‘no angels’ themselves.

These people are completely mad.

I notice that Androulla – or perhaps that should be Cruella – has admitted to one problem at least. That of ‘financial constraints’.

Go on Carwyn, open the purse. The paedophiles’ friends of north Wales need a few more million. That’s the only remedy.

‘Mistakes were made, but not by us.’

Perhaps Cruella can write another report now, placing the blame firmly where it should be placed. On those bastard patients and their bastard relatives of course, who else?

Let’s have a song from Dafydd Iwan! Come on Dafydd, give us all one about Macsen, about Owain Glyndwr, about Ciosg Talysarn, that brave psychiatrist Dr Dafydd Alun Jones and the heroic Angels and social workers who have done north Wales proud!

HASCAS wrote one of the reports into Jimmy Savile’s sexual assaults on numerous NHS patients. HASCAS never managed to explain how they happened either.
